Professional and hard working, but the load arrived damaged - inadequately secured.

I used Magic Movers to pack/load a UPack trailer in Ashburn VA for a move to Kirkland WA. Let me start by saying that the two-man crew worked really hard and got the entire job done within the expected time frame. They were efficient, professional, and easy to deal with. But the real test for professional moving services isn't the day of the packing job, it's the condition of the items when they arrive. I'm sad to say that we had a lot of damage. An outdoor table had its leg snapped off, chair legs were broken, furniture pieces were extensively scratched/crushed. Boxes were ripped/shifted open and the contents broken or crushed. The pic shows the load after the bulkhead was taken down. The yellow strap at the bottom was added by the ABF/UPack driver. Basically some heavy boxes had been loaded at against the front wall of the trailer up high. They weren't strapped in, and at some point those heavy items fell backwards bending and crushing items behind. That probably created a domino effect, which crushed and bent everything that could be. The ABF/UPack driver said that straps should have been placed every few feet to hold each "layer" of the load in place, so it wouldn't move. When I originally called to get the crew, I requested a 3 man crew and packing supplies so there would be plenty of time and manpower to get everything done. A 2 man crew was sent instead. I believe we really needed that 3 man crew (and supplies and straps to secure the load). I feel like I did everything right -- I hired professional movers on both ends -- but I've ended up with a huge amount of damage. I'll point out that Magic Movers said that the ping pong table was going to be vulnerable, and indeed it arrived damaged (but most of that damage was due to the load shift). I think you can count on Magic Movers to be professional and work hard. But you *must* ensure that the load is properly strapped in for a long haul.

Two huge boxes strapped to his back. This guy knows what he's doing.

They didn't waste any time and communicated every step of the way. Frankly, they made the IMPOSSIBLE very possible. I am amazed at how efficient they are. Moving is a very stressful endeavor a month out just getting things ready and they made it seamless. Quick, efficient and under budget... yes, under my budget. I won't name names of other movers I've used and paid 30% more for less results. I have a 15 monitor work station that I am very hesitant about anyone touching let alone moving, but these guys handled it like a breeze, especially during a rainy day on top of everything else. I don't usually write reviews, but when a company EXCEEDS my expectations, it's a duty to let others KNOW. I would want the same as well, especially with so many moving companies out there and nightmare stories. These guys are LEGIT and DESERVE their reputation as a TOP PLAYER in the moving business. Sorry for the duplicate review, found my actual account lol.

Prince Movers had the initial best rate and their hourly rate was great - far less than the other companies. Plus, they were able to move us on a Saturday. Our team was Carlos, Omar, Marvin, and Rafael. They showed up exactly on time, were polite, worked well together, and kept us fully informed of everything they were doing. One thing that was great is how they took time to prepare the home for the moving process, protecting floors, stairs, and other surfaces to make sure zero damage was done. Their wrapping of items was great - you can definitely tell that they care about protecting your items. Moving is always a pain, but Prince Movers and the team were awesome from the first quote to the final hand shakes with the team. I would recommend them to anybody and I will definitely use them again.

I would give this company a 0/10! She is really a disrespectful individual that won't take accountability for her mistakes! How you think a customer feels when you keep trying to bring up what a customer should have know as if I was the moving expert. I hired you to do a job and you failed! Don't give this business your time or money because Susan will try and gaslight you and make a 2-3 day move all one day so she can get as much money from you. Then if something goes wrong it's your fault for not telling her something when you gave her all the information she needed. But she didn't do her job so it's your fault! I didn't even bring up all the scratches, dents, dings all on my walls and stairs her crew made! I had thought I was going to be able to up the stars after she reached out, but I can't as she seems to forget she the one that botched this job! Now I have to go in my pocket to pay someone to complete the job she PROMISED! Horrible business owner!! Update**To the owner..there wasn't a "crew" it was one person who came out to do half the job back in February which took all day as it was on Valentine's Day and weekend. As I stated I needed to start moving in my new place and wanted to make sure I went through as much as possible totes/boxes I could so I separated what needed to stay and what needed to go back to VA. And I contacted the person (Steve) who helped me out (not you) during this time so we could see when it would be a good time for both of us. As we all have lives and not just around fanning ourselves apparently what you do all day. So yeah I still have several empty totes that needed to be taken back to VA. So stop with your arrogance as if I'm trying to get over on you. I'm a veteran so I paid my dues and worked for everything I ever had! And I showed you my entire house as you said on FaceTime I had a lot. I have it recorded so stop your madness. Take accountability that you messed this entire move up and wasted everyone's time! It's done and over with so no need to reply anymore I'm done with it. And I don't accept your apology.

They kept me informed throughout the process and were extremely trustworthy and personable, especially when I had to run out of the house to handle something leaving them alone and when I ended up having more items than originally planned for the move. I am extremely happy with the results and will definitely be using and recommending them to friends and family in the future. Thank you Carlos and Jonathan for your help! Overall, my move was a little over $800 (took about 5 hours with 2 movers for a local move from a 3-story townhome to a 2-story condo ) and I gave a generous tip considering the amount of work they did. I had one issue with the frankly crappy reassembly of my captain's bed. When the movers left, the bed was bowed, drawers would not close completely and the slats were falling out or not fitting in at all. I reported the problem to Serena and it was corrected promptly. A crew came and reassembled the bed to eliminate the problems. Finally, Serena is the best. She is responsive, knowledgeable, friendly and very easy to work with. I would recommend this business almost entirely as a result of the superior service she provided.

She was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and patient (I changed my destination address once lol). The price quoted was reasonable; I was offered 2 movers or 3 movers (different prices of course). I picked the 3 movers and I'm glad I did! The team showed up shortly after 8a (though to be fair the email said between 8 and 9a). They came with a 26 foot truck, shrink wrap, furniture blankets, tape, and bubble wrap. In all it took about 4 hours to move me from a 2nd floor 2 bedroom apartment to a 3rd floor 2 bedroom down the road. They really are workhorses - somehow they were all able to trek up and down the stairs repeatedly without seeming winded at all (which is incredible bc I went up and down the stairs without anything over 8 pounds yesterday probably 46 times and was EXHAUSTED). I'd highly recommend AAM for their care, expeditiousness, fair price, and friendly service!!

The guys that came were very polite, but would have destroyed the server had I not intervened. The top of the server was a single piece of slate stone that was incredibly heavy. We initially thought that it was attached to the piece, but when it was tipped to put on a dolly the top started sliding. Despite the sliding, the movers tried to continue to put the piece on the dolly with the slate portion supporting the rest of the piece. I had to stop them, make them put the piece back on the floor, and move the slate piece separately. If they had continued, the slate would have cracked into pieces. They tried a second attempt at putting the piece on the dolly. The bottom of the piece had no cover, so the only thing that would have supported the piece on the dolly were drawers. I had to stop them again before the drawers were destroyed and the rest of the piece was damaged. I have no idea how they could not see that moving it the way they were attempting was not remotely possible. Then they tried a third time, with the back of the piece used as support. The back of the piece was a 1/4 inch thick piece of plywood, which would also have been destroyed had they continued. In the end I had to convince them to carry the piece to the truck by hand, which they did. Unloading was much easier and they handled it well. Again, the items were extremely heavy, they worked hard, and were very polite. But I would not trust them to do a move unless they were supervised for heavy or high value items.
