IOutstanding Service from Quick Reaction Moving and Storage (Lawton)…read moreI want to recognize the excellent service we are receiving from Quick Reaction Moving and Storage, and especially Crew Chief Pat Patterson and his crew. Under Pat's guidance, both crews on Sunday and Monday respected our requirements for shoe coverings and masks. On the day of heavy furniture lifting and transport, shoe covers were not used for safety reasons, which we fully understood and respected. Pat also kept us informed of each day's arrival time, and the crew showed up right on the minute. In 40 years of military service and countless moves overseas and stateside, this has been the best moving experience I have had. Pat even made sure we knew which of Fort Meade's many entry gates to use, including the "jackpot gate" he's happy to tell you about. This is only the first leg of our cross-country journey, and we look forward to the same professional service at our destination. Teamwork, attention to detail, professionalism, timeliness, and cleanliness are just a few of the qualities Mr. Pat Patterson and his crew displayed. They snapped a piano leg on the first move and ruined a 2nd on the subsequent move. The piano's finish is also ruined in five or six additional places, requiring a total refinishing. An update! Since my first review, I have used A&A twice. Once to unload a self-loaded U-haul of…read moreinherited furniture, and again just a couple months ago for another local move. Everyone I talked to at A&A, including the owner Alonso, were friendly, clear, and accommodating. They asked great questions ahead of time to get a clear idea of how much stuff I had and it's a good thing they know their stuff! They brought a full-size truck and a smaller van... and I filled both. When it was readily clear I had a lot of stuff, they called in an additional mover-- asking, of course, for my permission, but ultimately sharing that it would save me money. Each of the movers that showed up had an incredible positive attitude and they had great communication between them. They were efficient and fast. All my furniture was in the same shape after the move, and they even made sure I didn't lose any bookshelves or those little things that hold the shelves up. Nothing broke, either. They even paid attention to my labels and tried to match the box with the correct room. While I want A&A to be available for every move I do, I also want others to know what an affordable and pleasant experience this was. (They even do moves out of state-- one guy was telling me about a move to Florida they did!) Great communication with me before and during the move, reasonable pricing, excellent experience overall.

These guys are straight up incredible…read more I hired Alonzo and his team for a cross-country job in November 2018: Washington DC to Northern California. I called 40-something other companies before choosing A&A Moving, and was floored by Alonzo's honesty and respectfulness. No hidden fees, no bait-and-switch pricing, just real talk about his costs, how much he needs to pay his guys, and what I could afford. He even told me he'd be coming on this move personally, which made me feel better about the whole thing. My experiences with other movers have made me kind of neurotic; Alonzo handled this with poise and understanding. He sent me multiple confirmations before our scheduled packing day, and sent plenty of updates that day, so I always knew where they were at. I returned from work to find everything neatly packed, with the exception of my bed and a few items that Alonzo and crew thought I might need - soap, toilet paper, towels, deodorant, tampons, my travel neck pillow... Those items were handled the next day, when the guys loaded my boxes into the truck. The actual move went off without a hitch. Alonzo kept me updated about his location and ETA during the cross-country drive, and he and his colleague Bryan (or is it Brian? Either way, you rock, dude) arrived at my California apartment within 15 minutes of their promised delivery time. Not a single item was broken, my furniture was in exactly the same condition I left it in DC, and they managed to get everything into the apartment without a single scratch or scuff mark on my walls. Seriously, I cannot speak highly enough about A&A Moving. If this is how they handled a cross-country job, I can only imagine their precision and attention to detail during shorter / easier moves.

This was the most communicative moving service I've had-Dani and I discussed in depth the amount of belongings that needed to be moved and what factors would bump up the price. They even went above and beyond in disposing of an old piece of furniture that we ran out of room to store. I have also had past moves with them that were very short notice and small. They were the most reasonably priced moving company for small moves by far. I would absolutely move with them again.

My only regret was that he reached the final destination about 40 minutes ahead of me, and I kept HIM waiting. Still, he wasn't upset, and he continued to provide optimum and courteous service. So after receiving a few quotes from a handful of businesses, I went with Potomac Moving due to the speed of their response, clarity in communication, pricing and overall warmth and professionalism. In our first phone call to walk though my needs, they were very assuring and accommodating, which is a such a relief in the midst of stress and coordination that comes with planning for a move. They were also always very responsive in the few times that I reached out between the time I paid the deposit and the actual move. A night or two before, I sent at email regarding wardrobe boxes, since I was debating whether or not I should buy and have a few delivered to me. The owner responded quickly, assuring me that wardrobe boxes were tried, true and if I wanted to buy any directly from them that I could. That ended up being a great call, because they were able to properly enforce the boxes so that even the boxes filled with my heaviest coats remained in tact. On the day of the move, the movers were communicative regarding their arrival time. They were also very nice and hard working. I had a few large furniture items that needed to be disassembled and they ended up being quite beasts to tackle. But they worked diligently to break them down. Once it came time to move things to my new place, that was a breeze. One gesture that I thought was just so classy, was the owner called in the middle of the move to check-in on how things were going - I really appreciated that. Overall, would definitely recommend PMC - they're easy to work with, fair and transparent about pricing and you're sure to be met with professionalism!
