After being tailgated in the right hand lane on 234 on 12/24 at 1:30PM in Dumfries by a crazy aggressive Vintage Moving van driver who then proceeded to speed as he was weaving in and out of traffic, running lights and more tailgating, driver then staid still in the middle of the road for a minute after a red light because he was using his phone, he still ended up behind me near Rt 1. I wouldn't recommend a company who puts lives and your belongings at risk to save a few mins of time. read more

These guys are fantastic. They moved me on 2 different days, one from a storage unit and the other from a townhome my wife and I rented. They were prompt and hard=working! Vintage Moving is our go to movers for moves both large and small. We have used them to move single items and just recently for a whole house move. We cannot say enough about their small move service; we are always treated as if we were giving them thousands of dollars in fees. They have moved furniture from stores to our home, from our home to charitable donation centers, from stores to a storage unit (prior to a household move and then they moved it all again). One of the best was their handling of our "swapping out" freezers with our daughter. They took it all in stride. Their staff is terrific. They take the time to expertly dismantle pieces too large to move as is and each piece is wrapped with the utmost care. We are always amazed at how quickly they can reassemble a piece. They take exceptional care with their surroundings when moving things in or out. We had ordered a large wall unit (eleven feet long) and they went above and beyond in setting it up. It cleared the newly painted celing by less than three inches and the crew was determnined they would not mark up the ceiling and they did not! From start to finish, Vintage provides big city service with a small town feel. It is apparent they value not only the customers' belongings but the customers themselves. I have used Vintage movers 3 times in the last 4 years and I must say I have been extremely satisfied every time; guess that's why I kept calling them. The staff is very professional, everyone from the managers you book your move with down the actual movers. What really impressed me is the communication they provided as well as the recommendations made that would save me money - who does that? That was awesome and very much appreciated. The day of my move they had crews out in various locations, the crew assigned to me had an earlier booked move before mine which ran over due to a client changing drop-off locations. Vintage movers kept me up to date via phone calls and text message so I was never in the dark wondering, where are these guys. To me that was great customer service. My crew was fast, careful and efficient. I was extremely impressed how these guys packed and moved my stuff out their truck for loading. It was done in no time. At delivery to my new location they exhibited the same type of care and efficiency. These guys were work horses and you could tell by the way the maneuvered my furniture through some tight spaces these guys were pro's. Not one wall was hit and not one piece of furniture was damaged. I was thoroughly impressed. They had my bed and dresser assembled and even fixed one of the support post on my bed I had broken several months ago! An absolute class act. I would truly recommend Vintage movers to anyone looking to move, this company is professional, courteous, efficient and needless say they know how to move stuff without beating it or your walls up in the process! I've done the let's move myself or let's move my friends thing before, but I can tell you from experience that in the end you're better off having pro's do it! There are not enough hours in the day to leave Vintage Moving the praise and review they deserve. Things were stellar from beginning to end including phone calls to the office (kudos to Kari and Mark!). My husband and I bought a new sofa and recliner from a consignment store in Manassas and the store recommended Vintage Moving to deliver the furniture to Loudoun County. Are we happy they did! The two pieces came padded and shrink wrapped better than any retail store has ever done for us. The gentlemen (Jeremiah and Antonio) were quick, efficient and extremely pleasant. (PLUS right on time which we greatly appreciated as we needed to get into the office!) They unloaded the furniture, brought it in the house without any problems, and put the furniture exactly in place. Following that, for a very nominal fee they took our old sofa out for delivery to a charitable organization. My husband and I were laughing as we said we either needed to buy more furniture or plan to move so we could call Vintage again! I would have given then 0 star if I can. Don't let their website fool you. There are other moving companies out there that are truely "moving experts" and are honest about their conduct. Vintage Moving and Storage will BETRAY your trust in many ways. Isn't moving stressful enough already. You don't need to deal with these people. Believe me! My family and I have to move 4 miles away. We have big furniture and a pool table to move. Kari Osborne came out to give us an estimate for our move. She said it would take 3 men and about 5-6 hours to complete the move. We went with Vintage because they actually came out to give us estimate. On the moving day, the moving crew showed up at 11 when we were told they would arrive around 9-10. Because Kari said that they can protect the carpet, I asked them to do so. They tape down some flimsy paper. It didn't take long before the paper got kicked up and ripped. The crews started to trip on the paper while lifting heavy furniture down the steps. So, I said forget about the carpet. Take it all out. What a waste of time for them to spend on putting the protection on the carpet that didn't work. A waste of my time and money. 4 hours into the move, I was told that they have to make a second trip and that they don't actually handle pool table. HELLO! I hired you because I was promised that you can move the pool table. UNBELIEVABLE! I was stressed out and was mad on top of all that. I showed the items to Kari when she came to give me estimate. I showed all the item to the moving crews when they first arrived. Nobody said anything about potential second trip or that there's a problem with moving the pool table. The can-do attitude was great if only they can deliver. If only they told me from the beginning that they might have to take 2 trips. We could probably ask if it would help if we take some of the smaller items ourselves. After 4 hours in, some of the smaller pieces were already loaded in the truck. I got reimbursed for the extra time they took for the extra trip, but a surprise like that didn't sit well with me when I was paying them 119/hr. In the end, it took 8 hours. Don't expect them to disassemble and reassemble anything. These people are not "moving experts" like they claim to be. The estimate was off. They don't even know if the stuff in front of their eyes will fit in the truck. Everybody rushed around toward the end, when in the beginning they spent time peeling off tape from blankets that was put on from their previous jobs. Overall, they arrived worn out, unprepared, inefficient and disorganized. They said in case there's any damage to our property, like scrapes and dents on the wall. They'd come out to fix the wall. The damage items are compensated $0.6/lbs, and so forth. A month after the move. NOBODY will answer or return your call about any claim whatsoever. You have to unpack. At the same time, you have to try to track these people down, so they can come fix up the walls that they scraped, nicked, dented, just like they promised they would do. Finally, some person e-mail me about the claim, he/she who call himself/herself "Claim" refused to tell me his/her name. The thing is the compensation that they promised in any shape or form WILL NEVER HAPPEN. After 2 rounds of back and forth e-mail about the claim process. You won't hear from them again. I don't even know what's the point. No walls would be fixed. YOU WON'T SEE A PENNY for any of the damage to your items. This is how it is. read more
