I would give ZERO star if there's an option. The movers ditched us on the date of our moving and they still charged us for the service. I've been trying to contact the company to ask for refund and they never replied. ***updated: the mover called us SOON after we posted the review. Just for the clarification, the mover stated that they didn't charge us money, it was movinghelp.com. Actually, when we called for the service, the mover asked us to book their service through their own website. And we actually called 240-832-7726 twice before the date to confirm the moving. Lastly, the mover also said he was trying to help us at the first place, however, if there was anything came out that the mover couldn't make it, we should be informed in advance. I had a great experience with Alpha Wolf. The owner was very responsive and never hesitated to answer my questions. Darrell (the owner) and partner moved me from Nashville, TN to Laurel, MD between July 3rd and July 5th! This move was scheduled the week before mind you! I had a POD scheduled that was going to leave me without my items for 10 business days and Alpha Wolf moved me over a holiday and I did not have to spend one day in my new place without my furniture. I moved a one bedroom apartment. My large furniture required wrapping for protection. Each end of the move took about 2 hrs. I had no major damages. I had an inexpensive, cloth wardrobe that did not survive the move, but I was pre-warned it may be an issue since I attempted to move it fully assembled with clothes in it. Ensure you break such items down and pack the clothes. Only a wood wardrobe may make it. No big deal. It costed about $30. The only reason I did not give a 5 star review is because I would suggest the company use a contract with agreed upon moving times and policy on how flexible those times can be. My move-in time in MD was a little delayed unexpectedly and it seemed to be an inconvenience for the company. I understand time is money so if those things need to be defined it might be good for all involved to have that information in writing. Nonetheless I would use Alpha Wolf again and I recommend them for local and long distance moves. read more

They were great the first time we used them for hauling some unwanted items, but when it came to moving me from my 3 level house to a 2 level house, it didn't go as well as I expected. The CEO/manager (Darrell) of the company was missing during most of the move. The day was long for everyone, but my husband and I had to endure hearing complaints about them wanting to be finished. They didn't handle my possessions with care. I even pointed out to one of the movers that he had my barely used piece of furniture on the concrete and he didn't even respond to my concern. The furniture was wrapped in shrink wrap. But if it's not lifted, but dragged, the thin wrap isn't protecting it. Of course after all was said and done, we discovered more damages to other pieces as well as scratches on the floor at the house we sold and the one we purchased. Finally, after a few attempts to reach the owner, he responds 2-3 days later. He says he doesn't usually do follow up. I proceeded to express my concerns about the damages and he had a rebuttal for it all. We finally agreed to meet at my home to go over everything, and again, the rebuttals. He consistently dismissed my concerns. However, during our meeting he provided funds, but it still left a bitter taste in my mouth because I discovered more damages upon unpacking. read more

Daryl and his team were amazingly efficient and on time. I needed help moving at the last minute, Daryl overheard my mother and I complaining that no one was available to help us in our family.... He spoke up and told us that his company could help us on the same day! We opted for the next morning and they showed up on time, were extremely courteous and ready to offer any help needed to get the job done. The time they quoted us was accurate to the minute. They were in and out in record time. By the way...we were not completely packed up and prepared, but Daryl assured us that it wouldn't be a problem for him. Alpha Wolf Moving was great! I called him on short notice to be moved the upcoming weekend. He adjusted his schedule and gave me a very reasonable quote. When the day arrived I wasn't all the way ready but Darrell and his team moved my things safely and securely to my new home. Demarius, John, and Paul smiled in my face but were slower than necessary which added to my bill. More importantly, about $300 worth of my property including all my AA and AAA batteries and the recharger disappeared and didn't make it to the new place. If you use them, be sure to check the truck for any leftover items and have two people to supervise the move. read more

I just moved this past weekend and Alpha Wolf Moving was absolutely fantastic. This was my first time hiring professional movers and I'm so happy I did. The quote they gave me was the most reasonable quote I could find in the entire DC area and the quality of the movers was fantastic. They were extremely fast and when we ran into an issue with getting my couch out of my apartment they kept thinking of different ways to approach the problem without damaging my furniture. Considering hiring movers? Alpha Wolf Moving is worth every penny. I looked around and they were the most reasonable prices and they were available when I needed them. Darrell and his team were great from start to finish! I would highly recommend them to anyone (and already have to 3 people). Darrell coordinated with me prior to the move, checked in the day before, and showed up on the day of the move prepared. I had a few items I didn't know how to pack, but the guys had blankets/tape and had them packed up and out of there before I even realized it. They also had protective plastic for my furniture items. They were really quick, but careful with my things at the same time. They even moved my furniture into the rooms where it was going to be, and the boxes (for example if it was labeled "bedroom" they offloaded it into the bedroom for me). For a studio-ish size move, they packed up, drove to the new place, and unpacked in 2.5 hours. It actually ended up being less than I expected, so I gave them extra on the tip. Bonus, I only requested 2 guys, but Darnell showed up too. I thought for a moment I made a mistake an asked for 3, but Darnell said he was just along for the ride and not really there. He ended up jumping in at the end, for no extra cost. Moving sucks, it sucks a lot. Moving with Alpha Wolf Moving makes it much more bearable.
