    Avoid this U-Haul location at all costs if you are planning on doing a one-way, out of state move…read more God forbid you have a bad experience, the management here refuses to level with you and do right by the customer. Borderline unethical, but at the least incompetence. The first U-Haul I received had the check engine light on. I was switched to a second truck and on my way. While on the interstate, I quickly realized that the truck I was given couldn't exceed 70mph. I'm speaking pedal to the medal and it won't accelerate a bit. This caused several issues throughout the trip and I contacted the location to let them know what was going on. Simone suggested I contact roadside assistance if I was worried for my safety, but that was her only offer. I declined because I was already on a tight time frame and had to get to Georgia as soon as possible. YOU WOULD THINK UHaul would realize offering that as the only solution is unreasonable, because the customer is being punished once again due to no fault of her own. Me calling roadside assistance would require for me to once again STOP and switch out trucks. Unload and reload said truck. THIS TAKES TIME THAT I DONT HAVE AND WHICH I SHOULDNT HAVE TO EVEN HAD TO DEAL WITH TO BEGIN WITH. Upon arrival in Atlanta, I had another terrible experience with returning the truck that no one wants to take accountability for. Many things can be said about me, but one thing about me is that I will always take accountability for my wrongdoings. I operate with integrity and I try to always DO RIGHT by people. The management at this UHaul refuses to do right by me. I refuse to stress about this a second longer. Shame on you. Instead of coming to this Woodbridge location, I highly recommend the Springfield location instead. I WISH I had been able to get my truck from there, but they didn't have any 10 foot trucks in stock. The management may be the same for both locations (idk), but the difference i received in service is worlds apart. Also, before standing in the rain to do the truck inspection on your phone - save yourself some time and crank up the truck first!

There was no clear parking anywhere, the inside had stuff strewn around, and it took me literally 20 minutes just to get to the front of the line (they even called me to ask where I was for my appointment while I was standing in line). The employees didn't seem particularly helpful and wore their masks haphazardly. The work, however, was well done. They attached a hitch and the job was done in a timely manner. I've used it a few times already and have had no problems. Still, I wish the pick up and drop off were better experiences.

They used to send a receipt each month to my email and then this stopped; even though I've notified them that I reside overseas and any snail mail they send goes to my parents' address. This has proven to be an issue as they seem to be raising my rates more often and I do not know this... so my automatic payment is not adequate and then they charge me late fees. They need to go back to emailing receipts and answering emails. Also, I've had the same automatic payment for 8 years and it has never been late. In the last three months they've said it has been late (even though its arrives and is processed at the same time) and they want to charge me late fees. So I am not sure if they changed my due date and didn't notify me by email. I've inquired multiple times the last two months with no response from management. They also have not been processing my payments on time; even after I changed the date my bank sends it to a week earlier. I receive statements at the end of the month telling me its 10 days late and hasn't been received, even when they received it before the letter was sent out. I've emailed management the cleared checks and dates... but no reply. Again, if I wasn't visiting my parents at the moment I would never see these letters. It's strange that it is 2020 and management thinks sending a letter is faster than sending an email. I am not sure if COVID limits the time staff is available to process payments or what either. I would give them my credit card info to process my payments automatically but at this point I do not trust them to process payments.. they may try to charge me late fees for no reason. If I had more time in the U.S., I would relocate my possessions to a new location due to the lack of customer service and responses to emails. The owner needs to address these issues and fix them. Top notch service a couple years ago has deteriorated. It's a shame... UPDATED ON SEPTEMBER 19, 2020: I received another letter stating my payment was late and it was received over a week early. It also stated that they only received a payment of $255.00 when the check cleared was $270.00. Management (Rafael) continues to ignore all of my correspondence. AVOID THIS STORAGE FACILITY!!! If they are trying to scam me out of late fees, then they are bound to be doing it to others. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and providing them will all my correspondence. ONCE AGAIN, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS STORAGE FACILITY. There are lots of other options where you do not have to worry about fake late fees and poor management. PLUS they decided to raise my rates during COVID. Ridiculous....

But that company showed up with a container and they tried and they gave up and left. I immediately got on the phone and called Zippy Shell DMV and described my situation, and shared dimensions and photos, and they said they saw no reason why they couldn't do what the others couldn't. 3 hours later, our storage unit was delivered, and as you can see, they tucked it expertly into my tight spot. When you have a storage unit for 4 months, it's great to not have it on the street, and not have it block your garage either. Well done!. Zippy Shell's units are also very nice, flat to the ground with barn style doors and even carpeting on the floor. And they price matched the competition. And they are great on the phone if you have any questions.

They had a crew and container at the unit the next morning at 8:15, with a 2nd crew and another container arriving at 10:30. Everything was completely out of the unit by 12:30p.m. Did I mention there was no elevator? Absolutely amazing! Bill and his crews were great to work with and I whole-heartedly recommend Zippy Shell! Shout out to Christian, Rashad, Dwayne and Carlos - thank you guys for your unwavering professionalism!

    DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!! They sent inexperienced movers to move my belongings. One of the guys it…read morewas their first day on the job. This resulted in my desk with the glass center shattered to pieces, they put a gouge in my hardwood floor because items weren't wrapped appropriately. Wait, that's not it..... bent the back wheel on my bike, and scratched my freezer. Left my husbands weight bench pieces unattached and broke a piece off of my guest bed post. I had to call the company twice to complain about one worker on the job but not working. He was swiveling in my office chair and on periodically on the phone. The company sent 2 additional workers but for any 3 hours to complete the job. The sales manager, Ashley was supposed to credit me for the hours the non-worker was there which totaled 6 hours and they were supposed to only charge me $30 per hour for 1 additional worker. I haven't received the credit yet. She's been ducking my husbands phone calls and not calling back promptly. We have had to call her to reach her. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM HER AND SHE HAD NO INTEREST ON MAKING THIS RIGHT. It's a shame because we've used this company before and they were amazing. I thought I had found a reliable company but this last experience was horrific.
