Absolutely the worst service one could expect. It will take me two moves to move out of my two-bedroom condo because they did not move the contents to the truck during the four hour reservation of the loading dock. I scheduled a second move with them, taking a 3-hour slot on the loading dock, and they just called to inform me they will be an hour late. I now have 2 hours for them to complete what they did not do the first time. Of course, they charged me full price both times. I highly recommend you look past this company and find a professional mover. I need to repeat, they are absolutely the worst! As an addendum - after arriving late, they decided to make a stop in between locations. On our 7-8 mile move they arrived 1 hour after us - we left at the SAME time. They indicated they got stuck in traffic - whereas somehow we did not.. They of course charged us for this hour. read more

I used their packing and moving services and the packing was terrible. They forgot to pack the bathroom and I had to remind them. After they left I realized they did not pack anything in the medicine cabinet and forgot to pack an entire kitchen cabinet and drawer. They took my formal shoes (beaded and glitter) out of their shoe boxes and dumped them in the bottom of a big box underneath my sneakers and boots! When I went back to clean my apartment I found the pile of shoe boxes they left in a closet. They took dirty clothes out of a laundry basket and packed them with clean clothes. They put ceramic items in a box with other random stuff without wrapping it up. AND, they removed the cords to my TVs and speakers and I haven't found them yet, nearly a week later. I contacted the company to complain and did not recieve a response., I have a marble end table and the top somehow came unglued. One of the crew knew it happened but didn't mention it until I asked why the top wasn't attached. They were just like, oh well. Glue it back.., UPDATE: they did not respond to my emails until I posted this review. I have not heard back from them about this 'investigation.' I have photos of the items they forgot to pack and the pile of shoeboxes left behind hidden in a closet, etc. Not sure how they are 'investigating' on their end. read more

The scheduler called us to verify the information we put in our quote and confirm the day and time requested. On the day of the love the lovers called when they were in route and showed up a few minutes early. Both guys were friendly, professional, and moved with speed. Nothing was damaged in the mice. However, after inspecting our belongings, we noticed that our TV had been scratched in two places, and our dumbbells were also scratched and appeared damaged. I was looking around for an affordable and highly rated moving company and I am glad I went with Best Movers. I was a little nervous about moving because this would be my first time using movers. I also needed movers who would move both mine and my fiancés apartment furniture. I was in contact with Mia throughout the entire process and she answered all my questions. It was a 3 man crew who arrived 15 min. earlier than the scheduled arrival window. They were super quick and efficient with moving all my boxes, disassembling my furniture, and wrapping my larger furniture with blankets. They then went to my fiancés apartment and was able to load everything from his place as well and get to our new apartment with all of our stuff. We recently moved from a 4 level townhouse to a house in Falls Church and used Best Movers. We were very happy with the pricing and overall experience so we would highly recommend them. The price is hourly so the biggest concern is always that the movers take their time. However our crew of 6 were all efficient and professional which is great! They were able to get an upright piano down a very narrow staircase in our townhouse so big props for that. They quoted us 9 to 10 hours and beat that by a few hours so we were extremely impressed. Best Movers did an excellent moving job. The move was within the time estimated. The movers were efficient and did not was time. Everything we asked was removed without incident and carefully put in the truck. The drop off and placement in storage unit was done in the same manner. I highly recommend this moving company. I will say their policy of only giving a quote on-line was different but you won't need an in person quote which takes more time. We also paid a little less because of the Wednesday move date. These guys were absolutely amazing, for an absolutely fantastic price. My girlfriend recently moved apartments and she was looking for some help to move a few of her larger furniture items and also needed a truck to help move across town. I called them on a Friday morning, and I was amazed that they could book us for Monday afternoon. I was very impressed with Mia, who went out of her way to understand the type of move we needed. When we reached our home, as they loaded our boxes onto recently installed shelving, they noticed that the shelving was unstable. Best moving experience I have EVER had - hands down. Residential townhouse to townhouse local move. Fast response to my request for a quote, was willing to give a discount for military and all cash payment... but not floods of emails and calls all the time until I made a final decision. Perfect. Confirmation email a few days before the move. Prompt phone call from the crew when they were about 30 minutes out. Our window was 9-10am and they arrived at 9:07am. When you hire movers the biggest concern is that they drag their feet and charge you for extra hours that shouldn't be accrued. Frankly, I'm just afraid they will be lazy. But this crew worked their butts off. I didn't see them take one break! I never heard a complaint and they were very friendly and respectful. I used Best Movers again for the 2nd time after 4+ years. I do believe one of the staff who helped me was the same person who helped me move 4 years ago. It's a nice surprise to see the same great person who helped me move again. I knew this move was going to be as easy and quick as the last one. They arrived on time in the morning as scheduled. They wrapped the furniture with blankets and used stretch wrap for disassembled pieces of furniture and packing tape for any boxes I didn't use enough for. All the stuff was carefully placed in the truck and strapped into place. For the drive from my old apartment to new house, I followed them for most of the trip, they were driving carefully (i.e. slowly) to ensure none of the cargo will be damaged. The unloading process was quick and efficient, they knew what each wrapped item was (I couldn't tell what it was) and I would direct them where to place it in the home. They moved my 800 square feet apartment to my house (30 minutes away) in roughly 2.5 hours. I packed everything in boxes and disassembled all the furniture I could. I moved everything I could before the move date to keep the costs low. I appreciated their quick, careful and affordable moving job 4 years ago. And this time they've provided the same performance. I will start this review by being fair. We hired Best Movers a while ago and the service was really good. As such, we gave them a generous and well deserved 20% tip. For such good service, we are giving 2 stars instead of 1. And for such good service, we decided to hire them again... and that's when we had one of the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE we have ever experienced! Originally, we requested the moving to happen on a Sunday. However, our stuff was stored on Public Storage and turned out that if we waited after Saturday 5pm, Public Storage would charge us a whole extra month of rent (around $140). As soon as we learned that (5 days before the original moving date), we asked Best Movers via a written message: - "Would it be possible to change the moving time to this Saturday afternoon?" , to which they answered: - "Yes we'll be there around 3pm" This worked great for us, so we just waited. The day of the moving, they would not come. After trying to contacting them several times, we finally reached them over the phone at 4pm. Turns out that the person reading the message somehow did not understand that we were changing the date from Saturday to Sunday. We explained the situation to him that we would be charged $140 by Public Storage if we did not get the things out of there by 5pm. He suggested we convince Public Storage to give us some grace period, but we already tried that unsuccessfully. We suggested he talks to them himself, but he did not want to do it. He tried to see if there was any of his movers in the area but unfortunately they were all busy attending other customers. So the big question was how he would make this less painful for us, especially since we would now owe $140 to Public Storage. His response was that the best he could give us was $40 dollars discount for the moving. That was definitely not acceptable. We said it would be "fair" to split the cost of the storage, so that he pays $70 and we chip in the other $70. He said he accepted that this whole situation was his fault, but that it did not mean he had to pay for it. Then he said "Think about it... if you were on my situation, you would do the same and not pay for it". To this, we answered that no, we would be really ashamed to our customers if we caused them this kind of pain. So... we have this person who not only made us loose $140 and 2 hours of our time (plus the extra frustration of not moving that day), but he also thinks he should not pay for his own mistakes (apparently his customers should), and finally he accuses us of potentially incurring in the same unethical behavior as he did. At this point we decided to finish the conversation and told him we would file a complain with the BBB, to which he answered "that's all right". I would never hire his services again. HOW CAN I ENTRUST MY HOUSE AND BELONGINGS TO SOMEONE WHO THINKS HE DOES NOT NEED TO PAY FOR HIS OWN MISTAKES?? Now, this is just the tip of the iceberg. I heard other jewels during the conversation, such as "I am not paying for your moving" (apparently for him paying $70 for the storage equals paying for my whole moving). Also at some point he threw: "I am being kind enough to offer to pay $40", to which we answered "No... we are being kind enough for offering to pay $70 because of your mistake". Anyway. as I said at the beginning, we are fair people who praise the good job (believe me, that %20 tip we gave them the first time was much more than his $40 we has offering), but who also has the moral obligation to denounce the abuse of people like the guy who answered the phone (I presume he is the owner of the business). To end the story, 15 minutes after hanging up the phone he messaged us saying "I'm sorry, let me know if I can help you. I'm sorry again". Honestly by then we did not want to deal with him anymore. We will just file the complain as we said we would. We already hired another company and got our stuff moved. Yes, we had to pay the $140 entirely. read more

If I could give this moving company six stars, I would! My moving experience could not have been better, and considering the horrible weather on moving day, that is certainly saying something. TLDR: do not hesitate to hire these considerate, professional, detail-oriented movers for any move, especially small, local moves! I had the luxury of a short overlap between leases at my old studio and new one-bedroom and primarily hired Best Movers to move my big stuff - mattress, couch, other large furniture, TV - along with heavy kitchen items packed in about a dozen boxes. I moved on a cold, rainy day between a high-rise apartment building with a freight elevator/loading dock and a small condo building with twisting outside stairs leading to the front door. My movers were two very professional guys who had clearly done this many times before. They were extremely organized, came prepared with clean moving blankets/furniture wrap and gave me a detailed run-down of my contract upon arrival. They worked extremely quickly but not recklessly; they showed incredible care for my belongings and wrapped every single item very thoroughly to prevent damage from the rain and moving truck. They never set a single item on the ground outside, including my moving boxes, when they arrived at my new place and navigated the outside stairs with my large couch perfectly. From start to finish and including travel time, my move took exactly two hours. I'm planning to hire these movers for all of my future moves and would absolutely recommend them to anyone! read more

The best movers I've ever hired!! I've used Best Movers twice now within three years, and they just get better. Boris, the owner, responds immediately to all inquiries. The movers were prompt the day of, and incredibly efficient. Knocked my move out (despite moving out of a three story walk up) in about three hours. I had a number of glass items (coffee table, bar carts) that were carefully wrapped by them and moved without a scratch. One of their office employees called during the move to make sure that everything was being taken care of to my satisfaction. You can't beat the prices either. No hidden fees, they're 100% up front about all costs. Plus, I got a call within an hour after they left to inform me that one item - a shipping tube with some prints I'd intended to have framed - had been left on the truck. The movers gave me the option to have them swing by when they wrapped their next job. When I told them that I was headed out of town, they said they'd handle it and call me back the next day.
