Ordered strawberry milk shaved ice to go,want to add boba but they run out of it then change to add Q mochi. When I got food I asked is there mochi inside to make sure because they were busy I thought maybe they can't remember, and they said yes for sure but they didn't add it. And it's not milk shaved ice just regular ice. I know it's just one dollar for mochi but that's not point I asked them to check but still happen, disappointed. read more

Meet Fresh - Desserts Near Me - Arcadia, California

I haven't had this kind of Taiwanese dessert in such a long time, so I was really craving for it. I created my own dessert. I got the grass jelly base. For toppings, I got sweet potato taro ball, caramel pudding, taro ball, taro paste ball, q-mochi, melon jelly, and mini taro ball. It came out to be $17.03, which is pretty expensive for a dessert. However, I really wanted to try as many of the toppings as possible. You must be thinking I'm crazy for getting so many mochi. I'd tell you everything was delicious. It's not too sweet, which I like. It's hard to say which is my favorite because all the toppings were yummy and had their unique texture. What I found to be most interesting is the Japanese Q-mochi. They give you two pieces one black and one white. It was quite different from the other kinds of mochi. I also really liked the taro paste ball. Taro is a unique flavor to Taiwanese cuisine/dessert, and I'm glad that this shop is able to serve authentic Taiwanese food in the states. read more

The service attitude is not good, and I feel discriminated against! Ask a question and ignore it! Won't go again!

I placed an order on Jan 13th, 2021 for pick up when they opened at 11am. My order was cancelled. Since I was next door picking up DTF for lunch, I thought I'd stop by to make an in-person order instead. There was a tall skinny non-Asian guy standing by the door. Apparently he works there. He told me he saw my order came in but cancelled it because they didn't have what I ordered available. He then assured me no worries that they would refund my credit card. EXCEPT they did NOT refund my credit card. They charged my credit card 2 days later and now I have to dispute it. I get my Taiwanese desserts from Meet Fresh all the time but this is so annoying. Other merchants have it set up that when the order gets cancelled (due to the merchant's unavailability, not the fault of customer), they don't charge you. Please have this fixed. read more

I was very disappointed with my experience here at Meet Fresh. We came in excited to get some drinks and maybe some dessert too. The menu is big, with a lot of variety on it. However the staff seemed very disinterested in helping us. We asked simole questions such as if the fruit is fresh, and they could not be bothered to answer truthfully or clearly. We asked how the shaved ice was made and they seemed confused as to why we would even ask that, and rudely responded to us. We then tried to order a Mango Shaved Ice, and they said it was a seasonal item and was out of stock. The kicker is that the shaved ice takes up 20% of the menu, but there were no signs saying it was out of stock. We ended up ordering a strawberry smoothie and mixed fruit smoothie. The mixed fruit smoothie was not that good but the strawberry smoothie was actually tasty, though they messed up on that one as well. They also did not have open seating, which was weird considering every other restaurant in the mall was open. We might be willing to try again in the future, but probably not at this time. We've gone to Meet Fresh multiple times in other locations, and we very disappointed with our experience. read more

Happened to see this place while shopping the Promenade section of the Santa Anita Mall and thought it looked interesting. The drinks were delicious and I had one of their iced Taro Specialty desserts....loved it as it wasn't overly sweet. I would give 5 stars for the drinks and dessert, but the service lacks. The lady taking the order is incredibly rushed and unfriendly. We already knew what we were going to order and before we could finish she's already interrupting...Is that it...is that it....is that it? Holy Sh*t, No!!! There's 5 of us here...It's a busy place so as we waited I watched the employees be impatient with just about every customer. They had a line of mobile orders at their counter but the orders didn't have names or an order # on them. Customer comes in and ask and they'd just point "here!here! here!" and turn away....no , thank you for coming....no hi....no smile. It happened with different employees. I didn't see a single smile or bit of kindness....don't know who's training them but customer service needs a lot of improvement here. read more

Located upstairs on the Promenade of the Santa Anita Mall, across from Daiso. Same concept as other Meet Fresh locations. You order, then get your food/drink when the device buzzes. Once you're done, you take your tray and bowl(s) to the mini window near the back. This location doesn't accept the Fivestars program. Also, the prices are slightly higher here. The good news is that there's two cashiers, so the line goes by fairly quickly. read more

This is the Meet Fresh that is located in the Santa Anita mall's Promenade section. The area itself is quite small but there is seating with USB ports along the tables. Much appreciative of that. There is a self-order option or you can walk up to the cashier and all the drinks are made to order. This is a great Taiwanese dessert place for shaved ice, ice grass jelly or drinks :) I usually go for a drink if im in the mood for something lighter, or if im in a group of friends, id get a huge shaved ice for all of us to share. When I say huge, I mean HUGE. There's plenty to share and the shaved ice is kinda milky, which is nice because it doesn't feel like its just water. This is a dessert shop, so it's just sweets here, there aren't any savory snacks here. read more

Ordered their grass jelly taro with xtra taro ice cream and what i got was extra taro paste instead ‍. It was a pretty hot day but and the a/c in the place was not working cold enough so the shaved iced watered down wayyy to quickly. Its a lot smaller than what i am used to in Irvine. Also gave their oolong milk tea and winter melon with taro balls. The milk tea was too sweet for me but the winter melon was refreshing. read more

Visited this location yesterday 4/28 around 3/4pm. My group and I were intrigued by the Win Win tea and decided to ask the server at the register what was inside of it. He replied saying "Boba and Lychee Jelly," something that was already stated on the menu. We asked again more specifically what the tea was (in terms of the base of the tea and how it tasted). Upon asking, the server rolled his eyes, sighed, and replied "It's a milk tea with boba and lychee." We were extremely taken aback by his attitude and ordered other drinks that we were familiar with. Drinks tasted great and service was fast however we felt very uncomfortable with the situation that ultimately made us decide to visit other locations in the future to avoid having a situation like this happen to us again. read more

For a slushie the strawberry slushie was very smooth it was more like a smoothie, you don't get those annoying chunky ice crystals -- so good. It's definitely made from strawberry syrup not the fresh fruit, though, which is unfortunate... ironic considering the name of the place Almond pudding is always a winner. Red bean compliments the soft texture very well, you get to bite on something not too rough not too soft while enjoying the intense sweet almond flavor I'll always come back for the almond pudding 10/10 I also got jasmine milk tea with noodle jelly (not pictured), when asked for milk sub I was told (FYI Everybody) the milk they use is CREAM POWDER. Tmi? Yea I cringed too, got it anyway, and won't do it again but you can taste it in the milk tea- NOT enjoyable. Left a grainy after-taste after every sip. At least use some actual milk, and using substitutes will help the lactose intolerant (s/o to 95% of the customers who come here and drink milk tea anyway, high five) and vegans -- for this I give the drink 3/5. Love jasmine and the noodle jelly, not a fan of cream powder and lack of ice & sugar reduction option read more

Who runs out of milk tea Came in for a boba milk tea but was told they were out and only had Jasmine and Oolong. I asked if they were just out for the moment and making more or out for the day. The cashier couldn't understand me and kept saying only Jasmine and Oolong available. so I ended up getting one Jasmine for my sister and an Oolong for myself. A tad disappointed from their lack of milk tea but it was made up when I forgot to get a side of almond pudding after I paid and asked to add it and the cashier added it for free. She was probably in a rush to keep me moving and not have to ring me up again but I'll take it ! read more

Very impressed with this location. The service was quick and pleasant and the food was on par with what I expected. There seems to be also more things on the menu here as well. Worst boba drink I have ever had! Ordered their classic Taro paste fresh milk tea because I was attracted by the menu picture and gave it a try but disappointed very much that the drink has no taste of milk or tea with little so called Taro paste. No quality at all. All I can say is they have really nice marketing pictures and posters to attract people in but not expecting to return. read more

Located on the outside promenade, easy to find on a corner with plenty of dine in seating. PROS: option to self order or with cashier, customizable toppings, drinks made fresh to order, red beans were large and not disintegrated like other places CONS: self order was down so longer wait time, limited seating for to go orders, 20 min wait when boba runs out Overall a great option to snack on inbetween shopping or after dinner. Quality is there however wait times are long when busy. read more

Meet Fresh has consistently fast service and great desserts! This visit I had the egg pudding with boba and almond pudding with red bean. The egg pudding is definitely on the sweeter end. Meet Fresh consistently has good desserts and good service! This location included. We ordered the icy grass jelly with taro paste and ice cream and added an egg pudding with boba. The grass jelly tasted amazing combined with the ice cream and shaved ice. I thought it had the perfect amount of sweetness. The taro balls added a great chew, but nothing can compare to the Q mochi we threw on top. SO SOFT. Also, service was ridiculously quick, I literally put down my things at a table and the buzzer was already flashing to say that my order was ready! I liked that this Meet Fresh had a lot of seating both indoors and outdoors! Better yet the outdoor seating was underneath a shady-ish area depending on the angle of the sun lol. (Although we did opt for indoor seating because it was a little too hot for us outside). It was very clean and we saw a lot of dogs walking outside, so it's the perfect place if you want great desserts and dog watch!! Overall, fast service, good location, and great desserts! read more

The review isn't for the store or service specifically but I still fault them for putting up a sign that has their QR code and saying this would be a quicker and simpler way to order when it absolutely is not. My order was not accepted the two times I placed it because I got a message the store was busy, which I thought was the point of ordering online, but they still charged my credit card twice. Then I had a difficult time placing my usual order. Third cashier had to give me a disclaimer that they cannot accept blame for if my drink is not sweet because I ordered it without sugar. We been here a couple for times before it's not too bad and we always stop by whenever we come to the mall. However, we came in around 9pm ( a hour prior to closing), they already prepared to close the store and didn't wanna take any orders. We went for the first time today. Ordered online and it had said ready in 25 minutes. But actually it was ready in 10 minutes. It's great that they're fast, just make sure you're nearby then especially if ordering something cold. It's better if you can eat it ASAP! Icy Taro Ball Signature (4.5/5) we chose "Less ice" and "2/3 sugar". We liked it the way we ordered, but wouldn't mind trying the regular ice and regular sugar next time. Gave this a 4.5 relative to the icy grass jelly below, which we loved more! Signature Icy Grass Jelly (5+/5) we love grass jelly and it was so good here. We added mini taro balls and asked for less ice, but actually regular ice probably would have been great too! This was great to eat in the shade right outside the store at the promenade on a sunny day. The girl kindly gave us extra spoons too since we were sharing these. (Oh yeah they're pretty big so can share!) Overall enjoyed both but if I can only pick one I'd go with the icy grass jelly and add mini taros to it. read more

Meet Fresh - Coffee Milk Tea and a bowl recommended by Michelle - Desserts Near Me - Arcadia, California

I have lived in Arcadia for the last two years. My husband and I love coming to Meet Fresh. I always get their Matcha Red Bean Waffle and a Jasmine Milk Tea or the Mango & Passion Fruit Tea. I would give this meet fresh 5 stars, but the service has been very upsetting in the past month and a half. I am African American and my husband is white. There has been new staff who always ask to see my receipt when I go to pick up my food and drink. This wouldn't be a big deal if they used the same protocol with my husband when he picks up our order. Either way, I've tried to be understanding to it until tonight. After work, my husband and I went to Meet Fresh to give ourselves a treat. It wasn't busy (it's a Thursday) and there weren't that many people in the shop. I ordered an egg waffle. I saw one other person before order one and the staff didn't ask to see his receipt. When all our drinks and the one bowl we ordered were called, my husband picked it up (didn't ask for him to show his receipt). Once our number is called again for the egg waffle, I went and grabbed it and sat down. About a minute after I sat down, one of the staff members shouts at me with an alarmed expression and tone saying "I need to see your receipt for that!" He looked at me like I had done something very wrong. It was embarrassing cause I'm sitting with my husband with very few people in the restaurant and he's making it seem like I stole a waffle! So my husband got our receipt, showed it to the employee, and the employee responds "Oh, sorry. Thank you." I would understand if this was the same protocol for everyone but I didn't see them ask anyone else for their receipt nor do they ever ask my husband when he picks up an order. I felt so embarrassed. I pay close to $30 for a some drinks and food, the LEAST this shop could do is not be prejudice. read more

I LOVE this spot. It's different than most boba spots in the sense that it doesn't cater to the American taste buds. You won't find any chocolate or coffee options, there's no Thai tea or matcha, they don't focus on trendy at all but what they do offer they have specialized in making this place 1 of my 2 favorite boba spots! It is Taiwanese in origin and in menu. They specialize in (and have mastered) Taiwanese drinks and desserts. Whenever I leave the house and say "be right back gonna go grab a boba" my mom replies with "buy me one" and I have to gently remind her "I'm going to the authentic one today mom" and she says a somber "nevermind" because she wants a honeydew flavored milk tea. I say this to say that Meet Fresh is unapologetically an authentic Taiwanese spot and I am soooooo glad for it. I feel like I get teleported to Taiwan when I step into this shop. So here are my 3 favorite drinks (it would be 4 but they discontinued the taro slush drink which was drool worthy) 1. The Jin Xuang Oolong tea , add fluffy, add mini taro balls, add taro paste 2. The winter melon tea, add fluffy, add mini taro balls, add taro paste 3. Jasmine milk tea add mini taro balls Can you tell that I love their mini taro balls I highly recommend this place as I frequent it often and was literally just there today . It's another one of those places that I proudly take my friends to knowing that they will love whatever they order read more

This is a place for tea connoisseurs as it has a wide selection of tea. I tried the Strawberry Slush and it was made with a blend of fresh strawberries and cream. If you're feeling like a fruity drink, I recommend this drink. After you make your order, you get a vibrating beeper to alert you when your order is ready. As you wait, there are plenty of outlets and charging cords to make the most of your time at the mall. With plenty of tables, this place is great if you want a longer hang-out with your friends or if you need a work place away from home. read more
