Worth noting that their "milk teas" actually don't have dairy at all (they use a non-dairy creamer) -- only the "fresh milk" teas have real dairy. Helpful for people who are lactose-intolerant or vegan. Meet Fresh isn't really a place I'd normally go but I was with friends who wanted some Taiwanese desserts. The place was super-crowded and there was a long line, but it moved fast and the service was good. They also let us sit and chat for as long as we wanted. I'd love it if they could offer clearly-marked vegan options on their menu because I wasn't sure how many of their offerings were vegan or not, and I couldn't find an allergen sheet that could've listed sneaky dairy or egg ingredients. Definitely an "authentic" place -- we were the only non-Asian people in the whole place :) I probably wouldn't go back again unless they had some clearer vegan options or I was with friends who wanted to go. read more

I have never written a review before. But the experience was so bad that I had to. We came at 7pm on a Thursday night. All tables except 4 had chairs on them so customers were not allowed to sit. Out of the 4 tables, 2 were occupied and the other 2 were filthy and had drippings all over. We cleaned the table by ourselves. When the shaved ice came out, everything including ice cream were all smashed together. It looked like a mess and completely unappetizing. I took a bit of the taro and it was uncooked. The only trash can by the door was completely overflowing and food was spilling out to the floor . There were 4 workers. The girl was at the counter collecting money and looking at the phone at the same time and eating at the same time. Two of the boys were leaning on the counter and looking at the phones. No one was bothering to clean up the place or showing any interest to provide service. Wow, I was so disappointed. We used to love to go to MeetFresh. What happened to the quality of the product and the service? The store looked pretty outside but it was filthy inside and the workers had no interest working. We could not eat the shaved ice at all and wanted to throw it away but there was not even a trash can to throw it. So I give it back to the cashiers and asked them to taste the taro and told them directly to their face" it's embarrassing what's happening in this store". This is the last time I will visit MeetFresh. Above all, they charge $16 for a desert plus tax. We used self order machine to place the order and gave 10 percent tip also. What a rip off and what a shame. read more

I normally love meet fresh and will stand in line for many many minutes to get some good dessert, but after last night's experience and having that metallic taste in my mouth for the rest of the night, I won't be goIng back for a while... I've been to multiple Meet Fresh locations worldwide and the quality tends to be fairly consistent all across the board. My only qualm with this one is that I feel like the service gets worse every time I stop by. The person who took the order was okay--rather indifferent and impersonable, but the girl who gave us our food seemed dismissive and I got the feeling that she didn't want us to be there. Could it be the masks are hiding some smiles? Nah, really don't think so. Come here for the food, but try not to let the less than satisfactory personalities ruin your experience. read more

Stopped in here and got the Q MOCHI MILK SHAVED ICE and it was sooooo gooood! I'm so glad I stopped in. My order came out quickly and it's exactly the desert I needed. Their mochi and jelly have great consistencies and overall it was a great balanced sweetness. The service was great and pretty quick. I will definitely be coming back! read more

This Meet Fresh is a bit larger than the Temple City location, although tables are spread lengthwise. Located in the outdoor area of the mall by Nordstrom. When they first opened, the menu here seemed to be slightly more expensive than Temple City's, but upon returning a few weeks ago, I feel like the prices are more or less the same. The items are pretty standardized, and the workers go through training to make sure they have the basics down flat. I was a little annoyed that they were advertising an October special on their menu when the special was no longer valid. Stupid me didn't look closely at the dates, and I told the worker I wanted the special. I wish he had told me it's no longer a special because I was charged full price for the drink. Since I thought it was cheaper than normal, I added a fresh milk cap on top for an additional $1. If I had known it wasn't the special, I would not have ordered the drink! The milk tea with grass jelly was alright - I think it was heavier in tea flavor and didn't have that sweetness I craved. Grass jelly was alright, but hard to taste. I did enjoy that fresh milk cap on top - sweet and creamy and the perfect amount to match the cup of tea. But the drink was just alright for me. I've ordered their signature special from this location as well as hot grass jelly. They've always been okay - nothing wrong with the order. But that last experience just wasn't the best. read more

Really great shave ice and boba spot. I ordered the brown sugar & boba shave ice with red bean. It was really good. Love the warm flavors of the brown sugar. They have plenty of seating with chargers and outlets! Very convenient if you're running low on battery. Unfortunately they were out of a lot of fruit including mango, so I wasn't able to order my first choice shave ice. Overall I would come back and visit! read more

At first, it's a little weird if your not Asian and not used to eating all the different balls and beans. Took me 2-3 times to fall in love. I was hooked and anted it almost everyday. It's kinda like boba. Like at first it's weird and then YOURE HOOKED! read more

Their icy signature grass jelly dessert is my go to! I can eat this everyday and never get sick of it. I've been to other places, but Meet Fresh is still the best. I love to add the half & half and watch the colors combine. The half & half has such a rich taste and complements the fresh light tastes from the grass jelly. The taro & sweet potato balls are perfectly chewy and delicious-- to die for!The dessert isn't too sweet which makes eating a whole container to myself even easier! I actually haven't tried their drinks or or their desserts, so this review is solely for their icy signature grass jelly. Con: The wait can be a bit long. read more

Usually the experience here is about 3 stars. The desserts and drinks are good, pretty pricey, and the wait is long. They took away the self ordering kiosk and the online ordering was down. And only 1 cashier. This particular experience was a 0 star. We ordered a potaro tofu pudding and signature red bean soup. The wait for these 2 items was over 20min. And when I finally asked them about our order, they said they were out of boba and said it would be 1 min. 10min later, they still said the boba would be 1 min so I asked them to substitute taro balls instead. I asked for a bigger bag to carry the 2 desserts since I was carrying shopping bags on 1 hand and a purse on the other. The employee said both desserts would fit in the 1 small bag and she proceeded to smoosh the 2 bf bowl of dessert into the 1st bag. I can't say it didn't fit, but I did have to hold handles with my thumb and pinky. The handles didn't meet. As I was heading to my car, one handle slipped out of my pinky then my thumb and both desserts spilled. I was already so done with the day that we just left. Oh, and in the spilled red bean soup, I only saw the taro balls substitute. The rice balls, taro, and other ingredients were all absent. So I just spent $20 and 30min waiting for mediocre service, packaging, either the wrong order or they didn't put in most of the toppings they charged me for that I didn't get to eat anyways. We shop here often so I'm sure we'll forget this horrible experience at some point and get a drink or dessert here. There are a couple of garages and outdoor parking at this mall but can get very busy on the weekends and holidays. read more

I love this location over the other one in San Gabriel. Instead of 45 minutes wait, it's usually less than 10mins even when they are busy. I love that I can order via their mobile app and my order is ready when I arrived. The staff always nice and professional every single time. I come here often almost once a week and the quality and services are the same every single time even when they are under staff. The staff are kind and nice. read more

Meet Fresh - Grass Jelly - Desserts Near Me - Arcadia, California

Disappointed but maybe I just didn't order the right thing. I got the fluffy herbal ice drink with grass jelly and to be honest, I wasn't entirely sure what I was ordering. It just sounded different and I wanted something refreshing. The drink was straight up ice. The fluffy cream and grass jelly was all at the top of the drink and it was like torture because I couldn't get to it! Too much ice in the way! The straw was too short and it was so frustrating and messy lol. It would've been better if it was a softer icy drink with maybe some of the cream blended in and with grass jelly at the bottom instead. I also tried my husbands oolong milk tea with boba and the boba was not good. Too small and mushy. Maybe I'll give it another try one day, their desserts looked interesting... read more

I love this location. It is very spacious inside, with awesome lighting/decor! I love stopping in for a drink while I am running errands and it's a great hangout spot for desserts too! This is the worst Meet Fresh I've ever been to. The worker here is really slow, and don't even call our numbers when the order is ready. We were the ONLY customers in the store and they took so long. See photo for $10 melted ice soup. It also looked nothing like the ube special on the menu. Went here yesterday to walk the mall and get a drink. I ordered a black sugar milk tea with boba and fresh milk, but all I got was milk and boba. I don't think the paper cups are working. Came in to get a mango passion fruit green tea and a passion fruit green tea. Both were refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness. I will definitely be back to try their desserts. Service was quick, and it was easy to order, read more

The menu looks huge but most of the items are really similar. I don't like the fact that they charge more for "fresh" milk. Seriously? Shouldn't you make it with good quality ingredients anyway? I got their new brown sugar fresh milk with boba. Even though it sounds like it's super sweet, it was actually pretty light and tasted more like milk with a hint of sweetness and boba. Their boba was pretty decent though so I'll give them props for that. We did have to wait an extra 10 minutes for them to make it though. read more

Utilize their online ordering system and return at the scheduled time. We ordered then walked around a bit, returned in the time window indicated on the website and our drinks were ready. I only ordered drinks but they also have Taiwanese desserts here with shaved ice, mochi, pudding, tofu, and fruit. If they are busy, then it'll be a bit of a wait. We ordered right after lunch and they had a 20-minute wait. No worries, we went to a nearby bakery for some dessert and walked back to pick up the teas. I ordered a mango passionfruit tea and a tofu pudding milk tea. Both were refreshing and delicious. read more

This place is filthy! Walked in and noticed that there were flies just chilling on the tables. The worst part was there was a fly on someone's shaved ice when the staff put it on the pickup counter!! How is this sanitary?! Ps. They don't tell you when your order is ready if you order from mobile app. By the time you inquire about your order, they give you an attitude. By the time we got our shaved ice, it was already melted. Thank you for the purple water soup, even though I ordered ube milk shaved ice. read more

So, so disappointed at this place. Started with a greeting telling me I'll have to wait if I order, which isn't any problem. I ordered the Chocolate Deluxe and strawberry/mango shaved ice. First, they didn't have the chocolate egg waffle but they can make it with chocolate chip. No biggie, I compromised. I eventually got my order and the chocolate deluxe has none of the toppings or ice cream. When I asked the lady about it, she said I had to order each item separately. I was a bit annoyed at this time because she could have told me earlier when I ordered it. I asked how much it was to order the ice cream and wanted to pay for it. Then I was told I had to go back to wait in line to pay for the ice cream. (FYI place was busy). Now, I'm super annoyed. I went ahead and did just that, then the ice cream was put in the little container for sauces like ketchup...No joke! I would say it was about a 2 tbsp scoop. I was just ready to leave the establishment. I went out to eat my shave ice and it found that it was purely liquid!!! Back to the establishment I went, and I asked if they can remake it. I showed the lady how it was all liquid. She offered to give me ice, but I refused since it'll dilute everything even more. She then said I have to wait another 20 minutes if she remakes it (at this time, I was already there for about 45 minutes). I told her that I'll just take a refund. She really tried to help me but I couldn't help but to be frustrated because the next thing she said was she couldn't process my refund because the manager was not present. She tried calling corporate and they were having discussions on what to do. In the end, I'm there more than 1 hour, so I gave up and asked her to just give me the ice to make everything less of a hassle. Then she offered to make me the new shaved ice at the time!!! No more wait all of a sudden! This is a rant, I know. However, it shouldn't be this difficult!!! Maybe I came on an off day, who knows...The one by Hacienda Heights left such an awesome experience. So I'd definitely recommend that location 100 percent! read more

My sister was excited for the black sugar boba shaved ice but they said they didn't have enough boba left to make it. This was on a Tuesday at around 5pm. I wanted the mango slush, but they were out of mango syrup. We finally decided on mango shaved ice and egg waffles. The egg waffles were too chewy - I couldn't eat them. The place got super busy and his co-workers were rushing around trying to fill orders while he just stood there chatting. read more

The whole store was indeed really sticky on the ground and unpleasant to be in because of that :/ customer service was kind of a miss. They don't modify fruit tea sweetness and yeah it was too sweet. Husband was happy with the hot grass jelly but I feel the grass jelly flavor doesn't come through. It was kind of a letdown after having great experiences elsewhere at other MeetFresh places. read more

For the most part, I never had an issue with the service. However I went in tonight 12/9 to order some desserts and the group of workers there were chatting (understandable because it was slow). I approached the cash register and a male worker had his back towards the entrance and leaned back toward the cash register. I made eye contact with another worker he was talking with and smiled and they greeted me. The worker at the register turned to look at me and then turned back around to chat. He didn't turned back around until after someone had told him to take my order first before continuing to chat. I suppose he was annoyed since he asked for my order with an annoyed tone. Hopefully, this was just a one time thing. All that being said, I haven't had any other negative experiences other than tonight. The quality of their teas and desserts are amazing! read more

Is it the greatest boba place in California, hardly. It's nice. I had the mango green iced tea and Yan had a slushie thing with fruit and ice cream. That was kind of weird but it was what it was. The drink was exactly what I thought it would be but it had like three ice cubes in it. Being it's located in a mall, I'm sure it will do well. I'm only giving it a three because as my Chinese wife says, "It's so so." Not bad not fantastic. read more

This is a lovely place for an after dinner kick back. There are plenty of cables for you to juice up your phone after a long day; they carry all sorts of USB cables too, ranging from USB Type-B, USB Type-C, and even the iphone ones! You can't really go wrong with meet fresh, their dessert is relatively healthy as most Asian desserts are. I especially love their taro/sweet potato mochi balls with the grass jelly, with some creamer poured on top. However, the reason why I gave this place a 3-star was because of its terrible wait time. The store was filled up with people sitting at their tables, but with no food! That's because they either did not have enough staff working, or everyone is not yet up to speed. I could tell other tables were very unsatisfied with the wait tile as well, and it definitely contributed to how crowded the restaurant was, considering how some people just wanted to get their dessert to-go and leave. All in all, if you come in during a non-peak/non-dessert time, you will have a great experience. Otherwise, watch out for how many people haven't gotten their dessert yet. read more

I've always been a fan of Meet Fresh and even eat less at dinner so I can save room for dessert. However on my most recent visit at this location on Wed 1/30/2019, my friend and I shared a hot Grass Jelly Taro Ball dessert. However it was NOT hot, not even lukewarm. We didn't know what to make of it. It was like room temperature? Wanted to complain however would they just put it in the microwave? We didn't wanna waste time since it was getting late/cold. If a Chinese dessert is suppose to be serve hot, it is NOT tasty at all when it's not serve at the right temperature. Maybe I'll just stick to the TC location which I frequent more often. read more

Meet Fresh is pretty consistent everywhere I got, except I feel like this Arcadia location is a bit wonky. Sometimes they're great, sometimes they're not. I've had milk teas that weren't shaken enough or the flavor was just too watered down. The grass jelly ice is probably the only thing that is consistent here. I always get mine with a variety of the sweet potato and taro mochi balls, grass jelly, pudding, matcha mochi balls, or with boba. The only thing I really dislike about this place is that it's not too sanitary. There are always dirty dishes, napkins, utensils, or tables lying around. I wish they put in a little bit more effort into cleaning and staying on top of it. It's a great location, being at the Santa Anita Mall, but it's not the location that I would steer towards. read more

I ordered the Winwin boba iced milk tea because it was starred as a popular item and it was delicious! It has lychee bits and boba. The boba is a bit smaller than most usual boba shops, which made it easier to chew and actually let the flavor of the drink shine through a bit easier. The actual drink wasn't overly sweet and the milk tea was just right. I haven't tried other drinks or items on the menu yet but maybe I will come around to doing that the next time I visit. Overall, the drink was solid. Ordering during the day time didn't have too long of a wait time. Parking is outdoors in the mall's lot. read more

Hot or iced, not too sweet and all from the freshest of ingredients. Nothing artificial to see here. Throw in a scoop of vanilla on top for an added flavor that takes the cream of the crop. This is a very traditional asian style dessert and they deliver here. I would give it 4 stars for the offerings, but it's just a little messy inside. I understand that can't be helped. I personally prefer the iced variety, but if you're into warm for the cold season, then get the warm one!. read more

Just like the store name, for really fresh desert/drinks, you need to try Meet Fresh. They recently opened 4th store near my home. So good.. I have tried their Strawberry Grass Jelly Shaved Ice. Strawberries were so big and fresh. Nothing like the strawberries you see at other desert/drink places. Boba was soft, juicy, and tender... just perfect. I have not tasted this good boba in Southern CA. Maybe this is why customers are constantly coming. Line never stops. Store floor was little messy with napkins and it wasn't too bad. There are plenty of photo chargers (all kinds - apple, samsung, lg) along the wall. You don't have to worry about your phone dying on you. I would definitely come back again to try out drinks (so many choices) and hot bean soups and simple deserts. They all look so good but stomach was too full to eat anything else other than shaved ice. read more
