This place used to be so good, with good air conditioning and customer service. If you want to enjoy a nice cold dessert on a hot summer day now (and the LA heat is BLAZING), the air conditioning is not on, the windows are up to the ceiling and no curtains to block the sunlight. You will sweat nonstop even while eating your iced dessert. Don't want to sit in the heat while eating dessert and get a to-go order? They will NOT make your order correctly. Multiple times where I've ordered a dessert and added condense milk, they've forgotten it. No problem, I learned my lesson to check if it's on the side before I leave. This time I went I wanted to add sesame balls. I didn't check because why would I need to open the container and stir around to see if it's in there? I got home and there was no sesame balls or the other toppings I added. Each topping is $1-1.25 each. Sure that's not expensive by itself. But with each order it adds up. Hard to want to enjoy something from what use to be your favorite spot when they keep messing up and don't bother to care when you bring up a complaint to them. I love meet fresh especially on a hot summer day. We always get the icy grass jelly which comes with qq balls and taro balls. Sometimes we'll even add mochi to it. Food: Our family always shares their signature grass jelly shaved ice. The shaved ice is more from grass jelly and tastes very refreshing. On top, the glutinous balls of taro and sweet potato are a highlight. In addition, it comes with whole slices of grass jelly and creamers that I would recommend adding slowing as you eat it, layer by layer. We have seen a lot of people get their more traditional shaved ice towers with fruit and condensed milk. Got to try that next time (spy photo attached!) In the mood for a good boba milk tea? Don't go to Meet Fresh! Walked in and the place had a normal amount of customers, but muggy with no air conditioning. You know Pasadena & Temple City are hot during the summer. We order, and wait 20 minutes in with no AC. I finally get my black sugar milk tea with boba... so excited! Then so disappointed. Wanted some dessert after dinner so decided to get some grass jelly here since I haven't came here in years. The parking in this plaza isn't the easiest but they do have underground parking. There is a large indoor seating area with comfortable seats. You can order at the counter or at the kiosks. We got the Signature Ice Grass Jelly ($10) and added red bean topping ($1), and also got the Signature Hot Red Bean Soup ($10) with additional grass jelly as topping ($1). The toppings are kinda expensive so didn't add more. The menu has a good variety of dessert options, hot and cold, plus drinks. Their shaved ice looked pretty good so I do want to come back someday. We did dine in so we took a seat while we waited. When the order is ready, they send a text to the number provided and you go to the pick up area. And they have small bowls and spoons to grab yourself if needed, which I liked. I liked the signature ice grass jelly. The portion is pretty big for the price and is good enough for two people to share. The taro and pumpkin balls are as good as I remember, and they tasted good with the grass jelly and shaved ice. I did do less ice but it was still a big portion for two. It tasted extra good after adding the half and half. For the hot red bean soup, it was pretty good too with the taro scoops inside. But I still prefer the iced desserts. Overall, this is a safe dessert spot option for Taiwanese grass jelly, shaved ice, and drinks. They have lots of Taiwanese options to choose from. It's nice to see it's still busy on a Friday night with big groups gathering. Because of the big groups, it's quite loud. Good amount of seating but the attention to the tables is lacking. They still have their signature series, but I liked the variety of different ingredient combos they used to have, especially the grass jelly, which is my favorite. This is my first time here and I thought that it was a little pricey for a bowl of ice grass jelly, two sesame balls, sago and almond pudding. I will tell my story as how it happened. I was in Temple City. I needed to use the restroom like quick. I got lucky to have found a parking spot in the Camellia Square where Meet Fresh is located. I thought they were "All Gender" restrooms so I quickly punched in the code at the very first restroom closest to me. Well, they are not "All Gender" restrooms. I mistakenly went into the wrong restroom. Oh well, first time for everything. Funny thing is that two people came into the restroom I was in shortly after I entered. Luckily, they used the urinal. It's my fault I entered the wrong restroom, but seriously, they should have a different code for the women's and men's restrooms IMHO. This is one story that I will never forget! LOL In support of Meet Fresh, I ordered the Coco Sago Soup Signature to-go via their self-ordering kiosk. Staff was friendly. The wait time wasn't too bad. Unfortunately, for the last few Meet Fresh locations including this one that I have visited recently, their dining area is just a mess. Tables and chairs are not clean and organized. Floors are not swept. Atmosphere just looks dirty. Sorry, but I am a stickler when it comes to cleaniless and organization. They need to have dedicated staff to attend to the dining area throughout the day. THIS IS A MUST! You order from machines when you go in and then pick up your order at a counter with no pager or any notification of any sort. You just kind of have to figure it out. They didn't really raise their prices so I would consider it almost Fair now. I usually customize a grass jelly dessert and sometimes will get drinks. I understand this policy is likely in place from management and perhaps has to do with keeping inventory, but it's not a good look. If inventory is the issue, you can get generic takeout containers. This alone gives me pause to recommend eating here in the future. Also, I normally try to be generous with tipping, but their setup basically works as takeout. It is ALWAYS such a mess when I go here but I'm not surprised since it's in one of the top worse fisted busy plazas in the 626 and you can't deny that it's a great place to grab some dessert after getting a meal from a restaurant in the same plaza. They do have self serve ordering kiosks but they are a bit slow and laggy, and almost ALWAYS sticky sadly. It might be easier to just order from the staff. Also the times I've gone, only 1 ordering kiosk is usually free. Tables and floors are sticky and some buffoons almost always stack and leave trash there despite there being designated areas to do so. I usually try to get a corner in the back table where the utensils and the drop off window is to make my escape much more efficient, but it is what it is. Clientele, probably triggered by their own unmeasurable misery by being in the plaza, can be quite rude. I've had friends been cut in front of by women resembling turtles and when confronted feign ignorance or get real Karen-y. Lady, meet me to 1v1 in the lot, your grass jelly isn't at the cost of your human decency. I've only ever gotten their huge grass jelly bowls with the shaved ice, generous grass jelly, QQ mochi balls, and creamer on top, almost always since I usually only get Mikiya here and those 2 go great after some hot shabu shabu. I enjoy coming here after eating at a nearby KBBQ across the plaza. The jasmine milk tea here is very floral - not a huge fan but typically I do enjoy the drinks here and their teas. They have quite a large menu so there's plenty of options to choose from. One of our favorites is the ice grass jelly signature! I could eat a big bowl of this!!
