sad signage about NO BOARD GAMES ALLOWED!
    Jerry H.

Food: Our family always shares their signature grass jelly shaved ice. The shaved ice is more from grass jelly and tastes very refreshing. On top, the glutinous balls of taro and sweet potato are a highlight. In addition, it comes with whole slices of grass jelly and creamers that I would recommend adding slowing as you eat it, layer by layer. We have seen a lot of people get their more traditional shaved ice towers with fruit and condensed milk. Got to try that next time (spy photo attached!) One note: As a board game fan, sadly this location strictly forbids the playing of board games... I see places like this offering their own board games so it is sad to see a sign like this at this location.

Haven't been here in years. They're less busy nowadays, even on a Friday. Parking in this plaza is still challenging but underground is better. There are three kiosks to use. You pick up the order yourself with the number at the counter. Self serve the utensils and napkins and put the dishes away when done. There is plenty of seating inside. Good ambiance with strong AC and generic music. We got two signature dishes: (1) hot red bean soup which comes with taro and mochi (2) iced grass jelly which comes with grass jelly, taro balls, and shaved ice at the bottom. Portion is pretty good.

Wanted some dessert after dinner so decided to get some grass jelly here since I haven't came here in years. The parking in this plaza isn't the easiest but they do have underground parking. There is a large indoor seating area with comfortable seats. You can order at the counter or at the kiosks. We got the Signature Ice Grass Jelly ($10) and added red bean topping ($1), and also got the Signature Hot Red Bean Soup ($10) with additional grass jelly as topping ($1). The toppings are kinda expensive so didn't add more. The menu has a good variety of dessert options, hot and cold, plus drinks. Their shaved ice looked pretty good so I do want to come back someday. We did dine in so we took a seat while we waited. When the order is ready, they send a text to the number provided and you go to the pick up area. And they have small bowls and spoons to grab yourself if needed, which I liked. I liked the signature ice grass jelly. The portion is pretty big for the price and is good enough for two people to share. The taro and pumpkin balls are as good as I remember, and they tasted good with the grass jelly and shaved ice. I did do less ice but it was still a big portion for two. It tasted extra good after adding the half and half. For the hot red bean soup, it was pretty good too with the taro scoops inside. But I still prefer the iced desserts. Overall, this is a safe dessert spot option for Taiwanese grass jelly, shaved ice, and drinks. They have lots of Taiwanese options to choose from. I think it isn't as popular as it used to be with all the new spots opening up but it is a good Taiwanese dessert and boba spot. It is not amazing but the quality and portion are both good.

3.5 stars. Multiple kiosks available. Can also order with cashier as you walk in. Lots of seating. I usually get dessert from Meet Fresh, but decided to try a new drink from them. DRINKS: Matcha Jasmine Latte w/ Matcha Fluffy 4/5 Not bad. Tastes fine, but over $8 after tax is a little pricey. Not exactly good value cuz I can get tasty/good matcha elsewhere for $5

The dessert here definitely taste better fresh and especially at this location. Arcadia location is okay... its hit or miss for consistency. This location, the service is ehhhhh ... young teens who dont want to work or avoid interactions with customers . No smile or eye contact. I come here 1x a week . If u need the bathroom, they won't give u the code, u MUST purchase something first and then you'll get a code to use bathroom .. my daughter had to use bathroom so badly but we had to order first . We tried to ask employee if we can use it first. Strictly whisper 'no'. So I asked another person... he gave us the wrong code .... unbelievable employees here. Atmosphere is nice . Parking is hard to find, so go underground for parking. Its in a nice plaza with a variety of foods and places to hang out if u want to come here to meet with friends and family . Ill give this place after 3 star since employees here show no interest to work there and horrible attitudes. U can just take anyone's order... they don't even care . If u asked them where is my order, they whisper softly .. honestly they cant even put effort to vocalize but i can hesr them talking amongst each other normally with normal voices . Anyways... Someone took our order and they didn't even know or care. Just let them know and they'll remake it. You'll get a text message when your order is ready . I only come here for authentication dessert, disregard the employees. Hehe

Enjoyed the shaved ice with various mochi, different jellies, peanut. Alll of it was covered in condensed milk. 3 people shared one after dinner and we did not finish it. They gave all sorts of drinks and can choose the level of sweetness, you order in the front, given a buzzer and pick up your own order. Parking can be a bit challenging

I've been coming here since they've been opened. I remembered the days when the lines were out the door and there were no kiosk ordering. It's nice to see it's still busy on a Friday night with big groups gathering. Because of the big groups, it's quite loud. Good amount of seating but the attention to the tables is lacking. I understand it gets busy, but the tables were not wiped down. We had to do it ourselves. The servers are not very friendly considering the fact that we're not even ordering with them. They just have to call our names. They are soft spoken and we couldn't hear or tell who they are calling. I still enjoy the desserts especially the Icy Grass Jelly Signature. The drinks are also yummy and my daughter loves their egg waffle.

    Fanny S.

I really like their taro balls and hot grass jelly, so I order them quite often. Since parking in this plaza is not very convenient, I usually order through Uber Eats. The desserts always arrive still warm, which I really appreciate.

The pricing of this location and other meat fresh places have gone up astronomically I still remember when they first open pricing was around the $7 point and now it's nearly doubled actually a little more than doubled but I digress that's just California and inflation and labor increase and everything increasing let's talk about the food it tastes really really good grass jelly is their signature so make sure whatever you order that you do include grass jelly that flavor that taste has not changed luckily they offer promotions sometimes so be on the lookout and follow them on social media I like that they offer water because Drinking Water is easier to drink it and compliment it with the sugary dessert that you're about to eat they have Mobile kiosk ordering they'll have online ordering and they do have a order closing. Sometimes it's slightly before they close so be on the lookout and check out their operating hours they can get busy when they're really really busy so it's hard to find a seating area the parts of their restaurant seating area flooring Etc seems to be slightly deteriorating due to not maintaining and not properly cleaning I can notice this because I knew this place when they first opened just an observation

    Jenny T.

This is my first time here and I thought that it was a little pricey for a bowl of ice grass jelly, two sesame balls, sago and almond pudding. Each item was tasty enough but the grass jelly and almond pudding could've had more flavor and the textures were a little too soft. I enjoyed it as it brought me back to my childhood when my great grandma would make these desserts for Chinese new year. Service is fast but not super helpful. The place was busy and people seemed to be doing family style but it felt a a little chaotic and messy.

    Jane K.

I got the winter melon tea half sweet with caramel pudding and the drink is sooo sweet! Thank goodness I got half sugar. But it's very good! Nice and velvety. Also I ordered the crystal mochi and mung bean mochi set and the crystal mochi is sooo good with red bean inside, very soft and delicate! I didn't really enjoy the mung bean cakes! That's okay though I'll still come back to get other things. My roommate got the tofu pudding set and really enjoyed that.

    Vicky O.

i got a shaved ice for my family of 6 to share and it was perfect. i feel like this could be for 8 people. We really like the brown sugar, boba, and the ice cream. i think there's also some type of milk tea in it, which we also enjoyed. My favorite topping is rice balls, which i always add.

I will tell my story as how it happened. I was in Temple City. I needed to use the restroom like quick. I got lucky to have found a parking spot in the Camellia Square where Meet Fresh is located. I knew they were the biz that would have a restroom. I quickly walked in and headed to the restroom area. A code is required. I had to get the code from the staff at the front counter. I thought they were "All Gender" restrooms so I quickly punched in the code at the very first restroom closest to me. Well, they are not "All Gender" restrooms. I mistakenly went into the wrong restroom. Oh well, first time for everything. Funny thing is that two people came into the restroom I was in shortly after I entered. Luckily, they used the urinal. It's my fault I entered the wrong restroom, but seriously, they should have a different code for the women's and men's restrooms IMHO. This is one story that I will never forget! LOL In support of Meet Fresh, I ordered the Coco Sago Soup Signature to-go via their self-ordering kiosk. Staff was friendly. The wait time wasn't too bad. Unfortunately, for the last few Meet Fresh locations including this one that I have visited recently, their dining area is just a mess. Tables and chairs are not clean and organized. Floors are not swept. Atmosphere just looks dirty. Sorry, but I am a stickler when it comes to cleaniless and organization. They need to have dedicated staff to attend to the dining area throughout the day. THIS IS A MUST! Anyway, the Coco Sago Soup Signature had tons of great ingredients such as taro, miniature taro balls, soft and chewy boba, coconut flavored mochi, soft and bouncy sago, and freshly made coco sago soup which I love. It was good overall. However, I was surprised it did not taste sweet at all. I may have to ask them to sweeten it if I should get it again.

Floor is dirty, trash and foods everywhere when we got here at 12pm. Restaurant smells bad....

Kinda makes me think, "Is this where all the cool kids go?" said by: definitely not a cool kid me. My gal friend and I always want dessert and believe life is always better with sweets. It was around 9 pm already, and of course, we wanted something sweet to end our day. The plaza on Duarte Rd is pretty dark, but 626 Ice Cream was the bright corner filled with tons of people in line, even at 9 pm. They have their posted in a few spots in the line so customers can check out the flavors. My friend was happy there is something non-dairy for her, which was the Mango Sago flavor. They seem to change up their ice cream flavors every now and then I noticed, which is so fun! It was our first time here, and the man who helped us was very sweet in letting me try all the 6 flavors and pick my favorite. I ended up with their Cereal Ice Cream flavor which tasted like a childhood milk & cereal breakfast, the sweet milk you drink after you finished your cereal. I thought "wow!" This was totally it and I fell in love with it. I also want to mention their Yakult flavor was amazing as well; it's the perfect tartness I love in Yakult drinks and had just a teeny bit of sweetness to it. It's great for those friends you may have in your life who just want a little bit of sweetness. Their toppings are so fun, and I would just go back for their toppings to be honest. I asked the team member to choose my toppings for me, you get 3 toppings if you get the mini cup size. So I got red bean, cacao nibs, and mochi. I would come back to eat this combination over and over again. My friend got a Mango Sago flavor, it's non-dairy, with Mochi and Fruit. She loved it as well and I got to try some of it - it packs a punch in mango flavor and is soooo good with their mochi! There is cozy seating inside, or you can totally be a cool kid and pick up one of those stools outside and sit in the parking lot. So nostaligic almost like a backyard party. Thank you 626 Ice Cream for existing and being in the neighborhood! I'll definitely come support more often!

I was hoping to have my own AE86 built and ready when I finally stopped by, but maybe for the new location. As an honest critique of the actual storefront, the appearance and decor is very charming. In a very bright, Japanese themed cafe kind of way. But because this is an Initial D themed drink and snack spot, I can see this being a place where mostly guys use this place as a meet-up hub. Especially for a small car meet. Very niche right? Especially for the dying breed of 1980's 1990's - 2000's JDM cars. That said, how many guys in the city could you actually get to come here regularly for soy and soy-based accessories, drinks, and snacks? The dessert was okay, and I wasn't in love with the drinks. Light, tofu refreshing, but not captivating. Personally, the menu doesn't appeal to me, since I try to avoid soy since it tends to be a pro-estrogen consumable. I don't think they had to box themselves in into being a purely tofu-only cafe. They could sell tofu products, and also have something simple but repeatedly addictive; like In-n-Out, Wurstkuche, Howling Ray's, Tea Master Matcha Cafe, Savoy, Langer's, etc. The closest idea I can think of that would be forced into tofu would be like really excellent, authentic mabo tofu, agedashi tofu, or like a karaage or Tokyo fried chicken style fried chicken with a mabo tofu dipping sauce, heavy on the ma-la flavors. Hell, I might even stop by more if they imported more car parts, from like Impulse, TRD, or Apex'i. But the way the AE86 market is, it makes more sense to sell online to the global niche. Wonderful atmosphere and mood for the Initial D/MF Ghost/Subaru to Subaru fandom. It was fun just to follow on instagram and catch a glimpse of all the influencer personalities in the car community stopping by. I'll look forward to what their next Project T(ofu) looks like. See you next time, Space (cow) boy. Oh-oh-oh. I need you babe.

The ice cream is so yummy! I got the matcha and pure milk. My honey got the pineapple, but I…read moredidn't get to try his. The matcha w/ red bean taiyaki is good, but it doesn't need the extra flair, honestly. So tasty on its own. I'm not a huge ice cream fan, but this was really enjoyable. Service was quick too, if that is important to anybody. Definitely will come back!

It looks aesthetically appealing in their photos online but it wasn't as good as it looked. Saw…read morethis off Yelp so decided to try it. We were the only customers. The girl working the counter was a young girl just getting by her summer day job. She was nice but timid. It was our first time there and a little more energy on her end could've been better. Ordered the ube swirl, pineapple dole whip, mung bean taiyaki, and a custard one togo. The taiyaki that goes onto the ice cream is a lot bigger than one we ordered to go. I thought it would be as big, but when I got it, it was so much smaller and flat. Also, the taiyaki that goes on top of the ice cream was old. It had been sitting there for a while or was made earlier as it was hard and difficult to bite. The red bean inside I also assumed was a paste like how they make the Japanese version, however there were whole pieces in there. It was okay, but I thought they'd be like paste. Overall, the only thing that was good was the ube swirl and the pineapple dole whip. It was also extremely warm in the shop, like no AC in the triple digits summer heat. Had to eat it elsewhere. I most likely won't be back.

I originally just popped in for a quick look, but the rows of adorable mousse cakes behind the…read morecounter immediately caught my eye. Their round, cute little shapes were honestly impossible to resist I picked out a few, and the mousse was smooth and delicate, with just the right amount of sweetness. Paired with the cake layers inside, everything felt light and balanced. The atmosphere here was just as lovely. It's the kind of place where you can find a quiet spot, order a cup of coffee and a few little desserts, and simply slow down for a while. Perfect for an unhurried afternoon--just sitting there, chatting, or doing absolutely nothing for a bit. The Portuguese egg tart had a flaky, crisp crust with a soft, creamy custard center, and the price was surprisingly friendly. The caramel croissant was beautifully layered with a subtle caramel aroma. The berry tart was fresh and refreshing, with tangy berries balanced by smooth cream. And the tiramisu had a lovely coffee flavor paired with silky cream and a soft texture. A few different flavors to share and slowly enjoy--it's just the kind of sweet afternoon treat I love.

I found mousse flavor to be too faint and underwhelming, the filling's texture was similar to a crystallized jelly which I didn't think brought the best pairing texture nor flavor. Overpriced for the quality. -Portuguese egg tarts $99 cents/each, this is a GREAT deal. Flakey crust and perfectly soft custard filling, highly recommend. -Passionfruit lime bomb tea and Iced americano were standard cafe quality, nothing to note. Ambiance 4/5 -Good amount of seating available in the shop, metal chairs felt a little unwelcoming/chilly, but that's just my personal preference. The space in general is very clean and minimalistic.

I've seen this business on my socials & had it saved for a potential visit. It was everything I…read moreexpected it to be. I drove all the way from Long Beach to visit my discount hobby mechanic Bobby; and yes it was worth the one hour drive. One because I had an amazing ice cream and two; I by passed a tune up at Fletcher Jones Toyota of Carson who for some reason didn't honor the previous warranty, because "Fletcher-Jones is now the new owner of the Carson location." In a sense, I am thankful for the grifting, because it lead me here. If you're indecisive Kinrose Creamery does offer samples. I ended up ordering two scoops of Saffron Pistachio Rose, & Orange Flower Pistachio. I definitely savored this unique frozen dessert in this unforgivable heat. Loved my choices and I will be coming back through the summer. The customer service is excellent, the establishment is very clean, & nicely decorated as well. It appears they have local art on the walls, and it's also well air conditioned. Additional information: parking is a bit of a hassle in this area. I ended up paying for a one day parking pass, which is ten bucks and having to walk about two blocks. I did not mind the short stroll but do recommend to look up neighboring businesses to get the best out of the one day pass. There's a pottery painting workshop near by, a spa, furniture shops, and also an amazing tea place adjacently across the street.

I must say the iced cream was too busy for me and didn't need much added as the base ice cream flavor was good. I noticed they had a lot of great flavors and some popular ones I'm excited to try next go round. The place is small with few seats inside but they had additional seating outside. Staff were friendly and I loved the vibe. You do have to pay for parking, but there's aplenty of spaces to park. Cannot wait to be in Pasadena again to try this place again.
