Located inside the supermarket food court, this small Vietnamese dessert stand focuses on traditional chè. If you're browsing the supermarket and want something cold and satisfying, the head over to the food court and grab a treat. The store front is straightforward and no-frills approach -- with premade desserts displayed and ready for purchase. The menu has recently expanded to include a Vietnamese coffee, but the desserts are the real highlight. The coffee is a nice addition to the menu, but the chè is what really stands out. The set up is pick the "main che" -- and build up with add-ons like extra jelly, beans, boba, etc. The place is casual so point what you want and pay at the counter. My favorite here is the three-bean dessert (chè ba màu). It's a classic Vietnamese dessert layered with red beans, mung beans, jelly, crushed ice, and coconut milk. There are plenty of sticky rice desserts displayed-both sweet and savory! The food court has plenty of tables to sit and eat.
If you've been to The Square in Rosemead you will know they have a food court inside. They have been around for many years and is a staple to the community. You will find some cheap eats in here ranging from Chinese, Thai, Korean and Vietnamese. Today I came here to get Vietnamese dessert at Che Hien Khanh. It is a chain and they have stores in Little Saigon as well. This is a smaller boutique so they do not have everything that the OC locations have. My go to order is the number 21 which is the 3 color or che ba mau. It is a drink/dessert that has an assortment of beans, pandan jelly (banh lot), coconut milk and shaved ice. When you get the drink it will be in layers and you will have to stir it to mix it up. It is similar to halo halo but Vietnamese. The large goes for $6.50 which is not too bad considering Bambu used to be around $8-$9 when they existed in San Gabriel before. Also the large size is huge in comparison. You line up at the food court and you let the staff know what you want. After you pull off to the side and can pay with cash or card. There are plenty of seats at the food court so go find a table and begin mixing your drink. Other desserts I like are the sticky rice, cassava and the mung bean pandan jelly. All the items are not too sweet and full of textures from the different ingredients inside.
Nice lady here and I loved the traditional it was so yummy and refreshing on a hot day! Sweet but not too sweet had mellow, seaweed, white snow fungus, jujubees, goji berries, and lotus seeds. Def super authentic and nice. It's located in the food court area. Worth trying if you are craving Che veit deserts
This place really never disappoints. I'm not sure on the consistency as far as the che. Some days it's milky, some days it's full of ice. But everything else is always delicious. I'm pretty sure the prices went up because things used to be $2.50 to 5 dollars depending on the sizes? Now everything is about $4.50 to 6?So definitely going up. But it's still worth it if you stop by once in a while, not every other day like I used to lol The staff here are always quite friendly. Not very conversational, but they still make you feel somewhat appreciated. There's something about all the colors laid out that just attracts me. It's like a big bright rainbow. Everything is just so pretty. Too pretty to eat! :)
Take this review with a grain of salt since I just moved to California, but even though this is mainly a dessert spot, I have to give a shoutout to the coffee, specifically the Vietnamese coffee . It's genuinely authentic and reminds me so much of the coffee stall next to my home back in Vietnam. The balance of sweet and bitter is spot on, something I've honestly only experienced in Vietnam until now. Nothing overpowering, just perfectly balanced and so comforting. The little snacks on the side pair so well with the coffee and make the whole experience even better . I wish I had time to sit down, try the desserts, and give a full review, but that will have to be for next time. Definitely coming back.
4.5/5 This Vietnamese dessert (chè) spot is so underrated, IMO! It's located inside the GW supermarket- in the food court area, and parking is free. It can be challenging to find parking during busy hours at this location, as it shares the parking lot with several other businesses. The drinks are customizable, but if you're overwhelmed, they also have "favorite drinks" options. Some of their "favorite drinks" only come in one size. I tried their "Thai dessert" drink but switched out the boba topping for glass jelly. I liked it even though it's on the sweeter side. The lightness of the glass jelly topping balanced out the sweetness of the drink much better compared to the boba topping. If you don't like sweet drinks, I would not recommend this one. I also got their "Tropical Coconut" #24, and it's not as sweet as the "Thai Dessert." It's more refreshing and lighter! They also have many small bites and snack options!

11.13.2o25 It's been a crazy year and I finally got to try this place for the first time. It was also my little niece's birthday, so here to get her a drink. I got 3 items from the top drinks menu. The Thai dessert (x2), Tropical coconut, and Passion fruit. I got the Thai dessert for myself and it was surprising to find how many ingredients were in there! I don't know what they were all called but there was jackfruits, lychee, boba, different kind of jelly desserts, etc. To me, it was very appetizing. As much as I also want to try the others, I am already thinking of getting the same thing again!
I enjoyed the 3 color and the Thai dessert. You can get it with ice and without ice. It was very busy. The staff speaks Vietnamese and English's it is located in a food court with lots of seating.
Amazing Vietnamese dessert. This is my first time grabbing che and other Vietnamese desserts here. All the stuff I ordered here was so good. This is located in the food court of the market. They are authentic and I'm so impressed by their flavors. I totally forgot to take a picture of all the stuff I got here. Next time I will. It's also quite busy but the wait isn't too long. I think I'll make a regular stop here when I'm in the area.
I had to come try this. Che is making a huge virality run on social media. And with a Che shop opening up down the road on Garvey I had to compare. I'm ngl, I like this place better than bake and Che. It is in the food court at the square plaza next to GW. THE BEST THING: Build your own Che! With bake and Che, there's and set menu and no customization. With Che hiện Khánh, they let you build your own and add whatever you want! Plus their durian is actual chunks. Not just durian flavor cough. They also separate the ice for transport. Price (6.50 +1.50 for durian premium) $8 abt the same as bake and Che! Quality is similar. Just the vibe and shop is a bit rustic haha. The worker was super nice. We didn't know Vietnamese so we just pointed and she helped us through the whole ordering process. They also have a lot of bake products, jellies, and prepared foods that I need to try next time. Everything's super fresh made that day. It's been here for a while and has jacked prices up to stay competitive with others around the area. But I don't mind paying for the great quality and quantity here. Definitely hidden gem. There is a public restroom in the back on the right side of the shop and parking is plenty! Be careful for all the old Asian folks though walking around the parking lot. That's all to say, this will be my Che place when I'm craving it and my aunts aren't making a huge batch for the whole family haha.

It's consisted of red kidney beans, yellow mung beans, green pandan jelly, coconut milk, and ice. It wasn't too sweet and it was so refreshing! This was 9/10 Love that there is the option to customize your own ché and add as many toppings you want! Pretty reasonably priced - $5.50 for 4 toppings and $6.25 for 5 toppings! This spot is pretty popular so there most likely will be a line during lunch or dinner time especially on the weekends! Would definitely recommend and return
Stopped by this Vietnamese dessert stall in a food court next to a supermarket. The place looked kind of run down and was mostly filled with Chinese and Vietnamese customers, which felt pretty authentic. I wasn't sure what to get, so I went with the #33 -- a chewy pandan and pomegranate drink with less sweetener. It was interesting! The flavor reminded me of light coconut with chewy pandan noodles mixed in, but honestly, I couldn't really taste the pomegranate. I also tried the pandan mungbean layered cake, which was steamed. That was pretty good -- nice and chewy, not too sweet, and a solid traditional dessert. If you're curious about authentic Vietnamese sweets and don't mind a no-frills setting, this spot is worth a try.
8/29/2026: I am in love with this humble little Vietnamese dessert stall. The service is outstanding! They are so kind as they help me maneuver all of the interesting choices of unique and beautiful options. Their "drinks" are desserts on their own! Icy cold, fresh, not too sweet and the toppings options are plentiful! The Che Thai (#22) is colorful and refreshing. We were too full and too far from home to order one of everything (which was tempting).. so at the suggestion of the young lady behind the counter, I got the green and purple treat with sesame seeds and coconut sauce on the side. One of her personal favorites! I've since learned that it is called Xôi Ngọt (sweet sticky rice). The green side is Pandan (Xôi Lá Dứa) and the deep purple side is Magenta (Xôi Lá Cẩm). Mochi-like in texture, slightly sweet and their coconut sauce on the side is drinkable! Pardon the pic, the vibrant colors aren't showing well! Next visit I just might have to get everything on the counter to try at home since I live a distance away.. I was hoping they had an assortment where you could get a piece of this and a piece of that, but everything is already packaged in styrofoam boxes and they don't separate the items. My only complaint which isn't this shop's fault is the heat. The food court area of GW Market doesn't have air conditioning and on a 95°+ summer afternoon, it is oppressive sitting at the tables. But since we live far away and we don't want to eat in the car, we toughed it out. Next time I may bring a portable fan so we can linger a little while longer! read more

I was craving chè and came across Che Hien Khan. The photos of the drinks on their website looked great, so I decided to give them a try. It was a little difficult to find at first because I didn't realize it was located inside the food court of a supermarket. I ordered the Che Thai. I liked that it was loaded with toppings, including large pieces of jackfruit, longan, and assorted jellies. Unfortunately, the liquid portion was far too sweet for my taste. It seemed like the syrup from the canned fruits and jellies may have been used in the drink, which made it overly sweet. I ended up eating the toppings and leaving most of the liquid behind. I wouldn't order this item again. I also asked for a sample of the cassava mochi strips. The woman working there kindly gave me a sample and topped it with coconut milk. It was delicious. The coconut milk was rich and creamy, and the dish itself wasn't overly sweet. I would definitely come back to order this. Customer service was friendly and welcoming. read more

Che Hien Khanh is located inside an indoor style "mall" / market kind of place. Walk into and towards 99 ranch and there's a food court area where there's a few vendors for food/desserts/drinks/snacks. You can build your own drink or choose from their menu. They have a variety of dessert/snacks to choose from. I tried the Pandan jelly/cake and it was good. Perfectly chewy and not too sweet. These are best consumed within a day, 2 max, otherwise they get oily and mushy. I also tried the pandan jelly with coconut milk and it was okay. The jelly was a bit on the overcooked and too chewy side but the coconut milk was good. read more
A local place in the SGV to get che, vietnamese dessert. There is hard to find parking in this plaza, but I always stop by when I am here. Prices are alright and desserts are freshly made. I am glad they have clear menu with prices. Sometimes it could be a hit or miss, as I do get less toppings of unbalanced portions for my dessert drinks on some days. read more
This Vietnamese dessert spot is the ULTIMATE, MUST-TRY place in SGV! So much better than Bake & Che and other Viet desserts places IMO. Been coming here since I was a kid with my parents and relatives. Super glad they're still around even tho the food court is pretty dead and empty now. They always have fresh, yummy desserts from cold to hot ones. Our favorite is the three color dessert Chè Ba Màu. It's always packed with delicious ingredients and flavors. Even tho their prices have gone up thru the year and the cup sizes are different now, they still offer the same tasty flavors and friendly, quick service. We usually order it to go, but you can dine at the food court, especially if you want to enjoy it fresh and hot. read more
I always come here with mother, her and I enjoy almost every drink we get. Today I came to try their #27 which my friends pointed out looked very refreshing. It was refreshing but the green squiggly thing was too agar-like for my taste. I usually like the green lil squiggly thingy when it's more chewy like boba. Anyhow you can never go wrong with the build your own option, I'll stick to that LOL. Service is good. read more

Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5 This is a hidden gem in the SGV for Vietnamese desserts. My go to mix is mung bean, red beans, white beans, and clear jelly. Mung bean is my favorite, so I always build my drink around it. Definitely worth a visit. read more
This is my go-to che (Vietnamese dessert) stop in El Monte. I tend to pick up my weekend treats here after lunch so that it would be easy to find parking in this busy shopping center. Today I was running a bit late but nonetheless the desserts were delicious as always. I ordered two custom drinks.(2,3,8,9 and 1,4,8,13) , my favorite green pandan cakes, and bun (rice noodle with minced meats and fish sauce, and caramel pudding. Their pandan cake is fresh and excellent, even at 4pm! Their drinks are always on point. The employees are friendly and provided quick service. Love that they now take credit card!!! For years I had to go to the ATM before stopping by here! Soooo much more convenient now. 5 stars read more

this che spot is located within the food court of a supermarket. the parking lot can be very busy and hard to find a decent spot close enough. i liked how convenient these little booths of food places are because there are so many to choose from within the food court and even on the way out the door of the market. there are plenty of indoor seating to enjoy your food afterwards. so-so food and service. read more

Three Color Dessert Che Ba Mau, also known as Three Color Dessert, is a traditional Vietnamese sweet soup featuring layers of vibrant ingredients such as red beans, white beans, mung bean paste, coconut milk, and pandan jelly. Each layer represents a distinct color, creating a visually appealing and flavorful dessert. Customer service is good. Ambiance is ok as it is located in the food court area. All I can say is that this dessert store has the best authentic Vietnamese desserts and drinks. read more

Cozy Vietnamese dessert shop in the food court of an Asian mall. There is lots of parking. The desserts are plentiful and all delicious. The prices are affordable. You order right at the counter and you can see them make the desserts in front of you. read more
Service is quick and they're patient, sweet, friendly! Maybe the trick is to not come right when they're opening/ setting up. All the other time's I've been here is right when they open. I stopped by over the weekend in the afternoon and wow they have MUCH MORE than all the time's I've been here. I love that you can customize your own toppings for a cup of che. Or if you're lazy you can always pick their preset topping off the menu. #22 is my favorite, they ask if you want it with boba or grass jelly. read more
Good dessert but a little lacking in flavor. I like the idea of customizable orders they have lots of options. I got the #33 chewy pandan and pomegranate and wished my drink was a bit sweeter, and I'm usually someone who likes less sweet. This place was really popular because there was a consistent line while I was here so definitely worth checking out again. read more
Been wanting to come here for a long time but hadn't the chance. I'll be coming back regularly now! The kiosk/store is inside GW Supermarket. My 1st time Hiển Khánh spread includes: red bean with coconut milk drink: you can choose your own toppings. I wanted something else so I ordered wrong but enjoyed this drink very much. It has more nutritional benefits than a milk tea boba & no caffeine! Will have again & add more bean options. Mung bean dessert: chè Táo Soạn in Vietnamese. I got the one with the bigger bean size. Personal preference; there's more bite to it than the regular mung bean. Mochi balls dessert: aka chè Trôi Nước. I opted for the one with the small & large mochi balls. The small ones are just flour (loved these only when I was little) & the large one has mung bean inside banana & potato/cassava dessert: aka chè chuối & khoai. I think they use cassava. Haven't eaten it yet. their popular sesame balls with mung beans - it's SUPER good. I'm picking up 2 boxes next time. They said this item usually run out after the 1st half of the day. baked cassava "cake": bánh khoai nướng. It was still warm. This is great as it is, or you can also dip it in the coconut milk if you want. read more
It was a hot day and I was craving something cold. Che Hien Khanh was the perfect solution that I needed for that problem! This store is located in a food court in the GW Supermarket. It was still busy at 5 PM, but parking wasn't an issue. I ordered the Che Thai (#22 on the menu) with durian. The drink was cold, sweet, and refreshing! It really hit the spot and I'd say it was worth the price! The staff were nice and spoke primarily Vietnamese, but English speakers won't have an issue. Note: They accept credit card, including American Express. read more

Hi Casey, our party trays are pretty simple. Small one, serves 6-8 people is $35 to $40. Large one, serves 12-16 people is $48 to $60. The cold drinks are measure by cup. Small one is 4-5 cups and $25 to 30, large is 8-9 cups and $48 to 60.
Is it possible to have the che thai as a party size?
Yes. The large party size hold 8 cups of Che Thai, while the small party tray hold 4. You can also bring your own container or pot, and we just charge according to how many cups it can holds. Our party size containers are displaying at the left side…
Are you open on Friday, 2/9/24?
We do offer party trays with almost 90% of our products line. Small ones range from $40-$45, and large ranges from $50-$60. Large is double the size in depth vs small. We require that you order at least 1 day ahead of pick up, and made a deposit.
