Vietnamese Iced Coffee
Jenny C.

Located inside the supermarket food court, this small Vietnamese dessert stand focuses on traditional chè. If you're browsing the supermarket and want something cold and satisfying, the head over to the food court and grab a treat. The store front is straightforward and no-frills approach -- with premade desserts displayed and ready for purchase. The menu has recently expanded to include a Vietnamese coffee, but the desserts are the real highlight. The coffee is a nice addition to the menu, but the chè is what really stands out. The set up is pick the "main che" -- and build up with add-ons like extra jelly, beans, boba, etc. The place is casual so point what you want and pay at the counter. My favorite here is the three-bean dessert (chè ba màu). It's a classic Vietnamese dessert layered with red beans, mung beans, jelly, crushed ice, and coconut milk. There are plenty of sticky rice desserts displayed-both sweet and savory! The food court has plenty of tables to sit and eat.

My drink that wasn't too sweet

What a hotspot after dinner. Located in a shopping center I've never even been to, the place is right next to a Viet coffee shop by the same owner. We ordered a variety of desserts and they were all delicious and reasonably priced. My brother in law has been here so he ordered for us. I even tried the pandan pudding. I'm not a big fan of pandan but I'm sure it was the artificial version. This pandan was subtle but still distinct. Definitely fit my palette. Interesting how they give you a bag of ice for your drink if you want to water it down, make it colder, etc. If the bag was sturdy, could probably pour all your drinks in a bag and go (like in Thailand). Worth checking out. The place is constantly busy so beware! Esp after dinner.

This place really never disappoints. I'm not sure on the consistency as far as the che. Some days it's milky, some days it's full of ice. But everything else is always delicious. I'm pretty sure the prices went up because things used to be $2.50 to 5 dollars depending on the sizes? Now everything is about $4.50 to 6?So definitely going up. But it's still worth it if you stop by once in a while, not every other day like I used to lol The staff here are always quite friendly. Not very conversational, but they still make you feel somewhat appreciated. There's something about all the colors laid out that just attracts me. It's like a big bright rainbow. Everything is just so pretty. Too pretty to eat! :)

Take this review with a grain of salt since I just moved to California, but even though this is mainly a dessert spot, I have to give a shoutout to the coffee, specifically the Vietnamese coffee . It's genuinely authentic and reminds me so much of the coffee stall next to my home back in Vietnam. The balance of sweet and bitter is spot on, something I've honestly only experienced in Vietnam until now. Nothing overpowering, just perfectly balanced and so comforting. The little snacks on the side pair so well with the coffee and make the whole experience even better . I wish I had time to sit down, try the desserts, and give a full review, but that will have to be for next time. Definitely coming back.

#24, "Tropical Coconut"

4.5/5 This Vietnamese dessert (chè) spot is so underrated, IMO! It's located inside the GW supermarket- in the food court area, and parking is free. It can be challenging to find parking during busy hours at this location, as it shares the parking lot with several other businesses. The drinks are customizable, but if you're overwhelmed, they also have "favorite drinks" options. Some of their "favorite drinks" only come in one size. I tried their "Thai dessert" drink but switched out the boba topping for glass jelly. I liked it even though it's on the sweeter side. The lightness of the glass jelly topping balanced out the sweetness of the drink much better compared to the boba topping. If you don't like sweet drinks, I would not recommend this one. I also got their "Tropical Coconut" #24, and it's not as sweet as the "Thai Dessert." It's more refreshing and lighter! They also have many small bites and snack options!

Three color and Thai

I enjoyed the 3 color and the Thai dessert. You can get it with ice and without ice. It was very busy. The staff speaks Vietnamese and English's it is located in a food court with lots of seating.

I've been coming here for this specific item for years & I still love it As of 11/2025 it's $5 I usually come to get Che ba mau which is good too

11.13.2o25 It's been a crazy year and I finally got to try this place for the first time. It was also my little niece's birthday, so here to get her a drink. I got 3 items from the top drinks menu. The Thai dessert (x2), Tropical coconut, and Passion fruit. I got the Thai dessert for myself and it was surprising to find how many ingredients were in there! I don't know what they were all called but there was jackfruits, lychee, boba, different kind of jelly desserts, etc. To me, it was very appetizing. As much as I also want to try the others, I am already thinking of getting the same thing again!

Amazing Vietnamese dessert. This is my first time grabbing che and other Vietnamese desserts here. All the stuff I ordered here was so good. This is located in the food court of the market. They are authentic and I'm so impressed by their flavors. I totally forgot to take a picture of all the stuff I got here. Next time I will. It's also quite busy but the wait isn't too long. I think I'll make a regular stop here when I'm in the area.

Menu Item #22, Che Thai. So delicious and refreshing!

8/04/2025: Found this little gem hiding inside an Asian grocery store and decided to stop for a treat on our way out. Oh wow! Where has Che been all of my life? This is magical! This cute little stall in a humble food court-like setting has a lot to offer! An abundance of cool and refreshing drinks, a wide array of desserts that I've never seen.. and every bite that the sweet lady behind the counter had me sample was beyond amazing! I decided to get a Chè Thai dessert. With all of the pieces of fruit and the milk base, you almost feel like you're eating something healthy! OK, I'm not kidding myself, though. I don't want to know the macros. It's too good and worth the splurge! The prices were all very reasonable, too. I could come here every day and not get tired of it! The helpful lady knew I was going to drive to Altadena before sitting down to enjoy it and gave me one giant cup filled with "the good ice" and the other cup filled with the milk blends and fruits so it wouldn't get diluted on the way. It was SOOO good. Why doesn't every Vietnamese restaurant I go to offer this on a dessert menu? I'll be having conversations to inquire because this is too good to gate-keep! Go to Che Hien Khanh and see for yourself. I need to try absolutely everything they had in the case! You'll thank me later.

Food Court Shop

I had to come try this. Che is making a huge virality run on social media. And with a Che shop opening up down the road on Garvey I had to compare. I'm ngl, I like this place better than bake and Che. It is in the food court at the square plaza next to GW. THE BEST THING: Build your own Che! With bake and Che, there's and set menu and no customization. With Che hiện Khánh, they let you build your own and add whatever you want! Plus their durian is actual chunks. Not just durian flavor cough. They also separate the ice for transport. Price (6.50 +1.50 for durian premium) $8 abt the same as bake and Che! Quality is similar. Just the vibe and shop is a bit rustic haha. The worker was super nice. We didn't know Vietnamese so we just pointed and she helped us through the whole ordering process. They also have a lot of bake products, jellies, and prepared foods that I need to try next time. Everything's super fresh made that day. It's been here for a while and has jacked prices up to stay competitive with others around the area. But I don't mind paying for the great quality and quantity here. Definitely hidden gem. There is a public restroom in the back on the right side of the shop and parking is plenty! Be careful for all the old Asian folks though walking around the parking lot. That's all to say, this will be my Che place when I'm craving it and my aunts aren't making a huge batch for the whole family haha.

Love this Vietnamese dessert drink spot! It's located in the food court inside GW Supermarket so parking can be challenging! Service was decent, not good or bad Pricing was reasonable ($6-$7+) and there is a good variety of Vietnamese drinks and desserts! Got the "3 Color - ché ba màu" and it was so creamy and delicious! It's consisted of red kidney beans, yellow mung beans, green pandan jelly, coconut milk, and ice. It wasn't too sweet and it was so refreshing! This was 9/10 Love that there is the option to customize your own ché and add as many toppings you want! Pretty reasonably priced - $5.50 for 4 toppings and $6.25 for 5 toppings! This spot is pretty popular so there most likely will be a line during lunch or dinner time especially on the weekends! Would definitely recommend and return

Stopped by this Vietnamese dessert stall in a food court next to a supermarket. The place looked kind of run down and was mostly filled with Chinese and Vietnamese customers, which felt pretty authentic. I wasn't sure what to get, so I went with the #33 -- a chewy pandan and pomegranate drink with less sweetener. It was interesting! The flavor reminded me of light coconut with chewy pandan noodles mixed in, but honestly, I couldn't really taste the pomegranate. I also tried the pandan mungbean layered cake, which was steamed. That was pretty good -- nice and chewy, not too sweet, and a solid traditional dessert. If you're curious about authentic Vietnamese sweets and don't mind a no-frills setting, this spot is worth a try.

That's right, 5 minutes. Although I did go around 9:50AM so there wasn't a line nor another party in the dining area. Food: I woke up craving Vietnamese and this place didn't disappoint. The Bon Rieu had the depth of flavor that I crave. Honestly, I judge most Vietnamese pho restaurants by their Bon Rieu because some places simply use seafood powder in their stock to fake it. What results is a very thinly flavored broth that has very little umami. Bon Rieu should have THE MOST umami of any soup dish because of its tomato and crab base. That's how you can tell if a place is cutting corners. The Nem Cuom is huge and the dipping sauce is generous. The House Special Tea is reminiscent of a passion fruit green tea from a boba place. Sweetened just enough to not be saccharine. Ambiance: Quite small. I believe one of their main issues may be parking during peak hours as it shares a tiny parking lot with many other businesses. I ordered egg rolls and the Pho Dac Biet. The egg rolls came out first. Fresh from the fryer with lettuce, herbs and the nuoc mam/fish sauce. I ended up fishing that on my own (first meal of the day haha). I was wondering where my pho was. I flagged down the server and he seemingly forgot. He rushed to the kitchen to get that going and it came out within a few minutes. Broth check first. It was light and had flavor. Didn't need to add hot sauce or hoisin sauce. Dressed up the pho with the herbs and went at it. Finished that as well. Pretty extensive menu. Fresh food. Overall, a nice place to grab some Vietnamese food.

They accept card payment, there's ample free parking in the plaza and there's several tables in the store to dine in. Food 3/5: we ordered their house special set and split it between two people. in terms of portions, it was good because i felt content even after splitting the food with my bf. the taste was okay, nothing too special. i did like their fried sweet potato, the nuoc mam and the take away packaging. ambience 4/5: the restaurant is nice, clean and convenient. it's a bit bland in terms of decoration. it's a very clean simple store, there's not much character to it other than the take away box. service 5/5: the service was quick! staff was also really nice. no complaints from that front :) not sure if i would come again just because i feel like there's a bunch of local viet restaurants in the area that sells this dish with more substance and for cheaper. but i do like this place as a quick and light take out if that's what you're looking for.
