I've been here twice--once shortly after they opened and again last Thursday. You know a bakery is popular when they consistently sell out daily! That said, I'm giving 4 stars mainly because both times I came, they had sold out of nearly every baked dessert before 3pm. So if you have your heart set on something specific, I'd definitely recommend going earlier. So far, I've only tried the durian pandan, and it's very good! The durian-to-pandan ratio is honestly perfect--you can taste both flavors without one overpowering the other. It is a little sweeter than my personal preference, but I can definitely see why it's such a popular flavor. I'd love to try their che's next time, along with some of their other baked goodies. Hopefully I'll actually make it early enough to get one! This summer heat has been brutal to say the least but what better way to cool off than with some chè. I got the pandan grass jelly which was milky, creamy, filled with big pieces of grass/pandan jelly and not too overly sweet. So fire! They also are always having bogo deals which contribute to the long lines (which isn't necessarily a bad thing. We had delicious dessert and drinks at Bake & Che. When I order with my in laws who like to eat, we order variety! Multiple drinks, desserts and bags of ice! They're generous with ice that you add to your drinks. I really liked my pandan pudding that actually tastes like natural pandan. I hate fake coconut, banana, grapes and, now, pandan. When you have the natural version, you only want the natural version. They also give you sugar syrup to dress as much as you like. Worth trying. I found this on Yelp because I was craving Filipino halo-halo, but ended up with Bake and Che's house special. I ordered it 50% sweetened (honestly, I should have ordered 100%). It was very good. Their refreshing dessert was served with small ice and not crushed. It had beans, durian and jelly (yum!). It was very filling! The place is very cute! They have tables that can accommodate big groups and service was quick. I also bought packaged roasted macadamia nuts in their shells that were delicious. I went to Bake & Che for the first time yesterday and loved it so much that I came back again today. Both visits, I ordered the Avocado Che for myself and the Thai Che for my boyfriend. Yesterday, I wanted to try some of their baked goods, including the palm sugar cake and cassava cake, but they were already sold out. I'd recommend coming earlier if you want the baked goods, as I stopped by around 7 PM on a Saturday and most of them were gone. Today, I came earlier and was able to grab their sampler, which included palm sugar, cassava, mung bean, taro, and pandan cakes. Everything was delicious and not overly sweet. My favorites were the palm sugar and pandan cakes. The Avocado Che was excellent. The avocado was incredibly creamy, and all of the jellies inside were delicious. I thought it would come topped with the green jelly pudding shown on the menu, which I assumed was pandan pudding, but mine didn't include it. I still really enjoyed it. The milk they use is so flavorful, and the drink itself isn't overly sweet. I also tried a few bites of my boyfriend's Thai Che. It was refreshing and tasty as well. One thing I liked is that you can customize the sweetness level and choose whether you want the ice mixed in or served on the side. The only downside is the size. The cups are smaller than what I've seen at other places. I believe they're around 12 ounces. The Thai Che was $7 and the Avocado Che was $8, which is typically what I pay elsewhere for a 16 ounce drink. I'd definitely keep coming back for the Avocado Che and the palm sugar and pandan cakes. read more

Brought my grandma and I'm happy to say this spot has her approval haha that in itself should mean this review actually has 6 stars cause grandma be picky. We both got the C1 dessert, and I also got an order of the pandan durian layer cake and an order of the taro cake. The pandan durian layer cake wasn't overwhelmingly pungent with durian, it almost felt like they just brushed the cake with some durian if that makes any sense. The taro cake was delicious! I think they may have warmed it up a little and I enjoyed the bits of taro in it. We came in a Saturday afternoon and was able to park in the lot as well as walk right up to the register. I think 5-10 mins later there was a line almost to the door and all the tables were taken up. It's so great to have this here in SGV, we no longer have to drive to Garden Grove. This location gets busy and parking is limited. Luckily, there is street parking. Inside is very clean with ample seating and some outdoor seats as well. I have had the House Special with Durian. It's so rich, yummy, and full of toppings. My favorite, though, is the Longan Aloe Vera. It's so refreshing and has a unique taste. For banh, I have had the Cassava and Durian Pandan. Both delicious and perfect snack-sized. I was looking for some good che in the area and found Bake & Che. From the reviews, it seemed like they would have something I would like here for a sweet dessert. Now I've had che many times before and enjoy the simple mixture. Here at Bake & Che, it's definitely more of a decorated milky dessert. The dac biet che had all the normal ingredients, but they added some extras and also peanuts. I have to admit the peanuts added a nice crunch to it. But they do go a little crazier with the ice, so I'd recommend asking for less ice, or get the largest cup for maximum che. A regular size cup was $7 for the regular dessert che. It was a little bit more than I expected, as usual che is about two dollars less. If it was maybe less ice, it would be a better match with the price. Counter staff are fine here, nothing too special there. They take both cash and card here. A few tables inside and outside, but they are taken quick if it's a busy day. Been seeing soo much social media advertisement here and have been craving che for the longest time. Its been hard to find che since Bambu had closed down. This is located right next to Da Vien on Garvey in a small plaza. Parking may be limited especially when both Da Vien and Baked&Che has lines out the door sometimes. Theres a couple of tables indoor and outdoor. Service is quite slow but the girl was patient since it was our first time. I ordered the pandan grass jelly and flandan cheesecake. I like that they ask whether you want to adjust your sweetness and ice on the side. I opted for regular sweet with ice inside since it was my first time so I wanted to taste how it should before I make adjustments for the next visit. What I did not like was that the ice was crushed ice rather than shaved ice. The chunks were quite large which was hard to eat. Regular sweetness did not taste like anything. There was no coconut milk flavor. The grass jelly also doesnt have the typical grass jelly flavor. It was very bland. So everything was just bland in general. What i REALLY enjoyed was the flandan cheesecake. It lacked a bit of the pandan flavoring. I wish it had more pandan flavoring. Theres more flan than cheesecake. Smashed Coconut Dura Dam Thot Not - $7 -- Delicious and creamy! This is a coconut lover's dream lol. This contains all types of coconut, and I will just continue to order this haha. Customer Service: Pretty short - nothing frilly. You also have the option of pre-ordering online. They are cordial but not exceptionally nice. Seating: Indoor and outdoor table seating are both available! The store gets busy, so snagging seats can be a little difficult at peak times. Parties tend to stay for some time, so just be prepared. Parking: There is a parking lot, but it becomes extremely crowded during the day. Street parking is also available right by the shop, which is most convenient for me. Could not pronounce it well, cha dac biet is much like halo-halo for Filipinos, except they use coconut milk (evaporated for Filipinos) & they use regular ice, whereas Filipinos use shaved ice (or finer crushed ice). It is so good & full of ingredients. There's coconut or jelly, boba & even crunchy peanuts. The durian cream was supposed to be included but I had them put it on the side. I was not sure if I was going to like it, which in the end, wasn't as pungent or off putting as I had expected. The new pandan flan cheesecake caught my eye so I ordered it & it was better than expected. It was soft & luscious, sweet & delectable. Would definitely return to try other items. Walking into this dessert shop, you could see how busy it is. There wasn't a line, but almost all the tables were filled. Service was quick because after ordering, within minutes we got our che.
