Parking available in the private lot or street. THE BLACK AND WHITE: This is one of the great breweries of Austin. This and Zilker brewing are my top two in Austin. Great beers and branding along with awesome glasses to hold your beers. My favorite are the lighter beers like the pilsner and the helles. Although you can't go wrong with any of their beer, they have a nice SoCal lager and occasionally a rice lager onboard. Family friendly fun and also dog friendly. Last weekend we had my baby shower here. We chose the venue because the space is huge, staff is friendly, and food and drink options are vast. This place really impressed me! The menu has everything from beer to wine to cocktails to espresso! I married into a beer family so coming to a brewery with a ton of selection was soooo appreciated. They have an outdoor stage where I imagine they have live music which I will definitely look into further. There are tons of food trucks with the perfect selection so no matter your diet you can eat here. You can choose from bbq, pizza, Mexican, burgers or ice cream! Our book club met here once before but I couldn't find a place to park so turned around and went back home. Sad. This time I was able to park on the street but they had a band playing so charged an entrance fee. We sat at a picnic table far away from the stage and were able to talk without the sound blaring at us. This place is huge and has a lot to offer. I will be back to try the food and drink next time and hope to catch a good band. The bathroom was out of paper towels and had only one hand blow dryer. First thing I should mention is that this property is a lot bigger than it looks with tons of seating both inside and out. There's more picnic tables out back than I could count. The problem is the parking lot is undersized considering the amount of people they can hold. We got here at 4 PM on a Friday and were lucky to score the very last spot. The other drawback is the fact that there's no kitchen, only 5 food trucks. Food truck fare is OK, but it seems like a copout to not have a proper kitchen and menu to complete the experience. After a couple of beers we decided to dine out somewhere else. At the back of the property you'll find a large music stage, a kids play area, mostly comprised of wood and an outside serving area for when it gets crowded. W. O. W! This has to be the coolest brewery I've been to in a while! When we drove up there were cars parked all the way down the road and around the corners. It turns out that is normal parking for this place because their outdoor space is HUGE! They have a soccer field, a giant playground, a huge sports viewing area and one of the best beer ordering set ups I've ever seen. The bar had 6-7 kiosks with a bartenders behind each one. The line moves so fast and the staff had the flow down. They had a wide selection of beer, cider, sours and EVEN WINE on tap! If you have kids and want to get outside for the day, this is the place for you. If you don't have kids, it's good for people watching. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was Kid City. There were also a bunch of dogs. They have a playground out back, a soccer field, and a stage/big screen where they were showing the local soccer game. The parking lot is small for their venue, but at least you can find a free spot on the street out front. We had to walk a ways to get to the venue. When you walk up, you join the line to put in your drink order. I was appreciative that the line wasn't too long and the bartenders were very friendly. I didn't prefer my cocktails because they weren't a typical cocktail, but made with seltzers. Even though the space is large, there wasn't really a vibe or ambiance. Kind of chaotic with no music. One small peeve of mine is not putting drink prices for public viewing. You have to ask for drink prices, but after visiting, I would assume it's around $10 a drink. Also to note - A sign advises you don't have to wait in line and close out because they'll put a 20% grat on your tab for you. Not sure this is the place for us as we don't have kids, but that's just a personal preference when there's so many other similar places to choose from. read more

LOVE this place! We have three kids (4, 8, 10yrs) and they love it here. Our daughter can play with other kids in the shaded tree area while our boys play soccer on the turf field. I'm in love with Meanwhile Brewing! This place is the ultimate hangout spot. On my first visit, I had no idea what to expect. I thought I was going to a small brewery with a few food trucks outside. But then... I discovered this place is enormous! The indoor space is ample, but the outdoor space--WOW! Their beer list has a great variety of styles. You'll find something to suit every taste bud: beer, wine, cocktails, ciders, and even coffee! There are at least five food trucks serving up delicious food. I believe they're the same ones I've seen on my visits over the past eight or nine months. They have trucks for BBQ, tacos, pizza (I haven't tried it yet), burgers and sandwiches, and ice cream (I haven't tried it yet). These food trucks are worth checking out! Meanwhile Brewing is not just a brewery, it's a full-on entertainment center! There are picnic tables, lawn chairs, a music stage, a pickleball court, and a cornhole area. And get this, it's huge! And the best part...Whenever I'm in Austin, whether on business or pleasure, I can now take the last flight back to Dallas, so I can end my day by relaxing with some good food and cold beer in a great location. As a New Mexican, brewery's have become our State staple for microbreweries for numerous years offering a touch of individuality and in search what other states are doing. While visiting Austin and had some time before my flight heading home, I visited this taproom and 15-barrel brewhouse, Meanwhile's outdoor space is a backyard-style enclave filled with trees, outside seating and food trucks. The 3.7-acre brewery has become and it seem evident that's a favorite among Austinites because of its growing list of specialty and award-winning IPAs and lagers, as well as spins on traditional cocktails. Tried the Oktoberfest brew, and it was very good, to the nose is malty and bready. Taste follows, slightly sweet, equally bitter. The food trucks options where plenty and with no surprise went with the Mexican food truck. Had there 5/taco special with shredded lamb meat, also known as The term "barbacoa" refers to the way the meat (usually lamb or goat) is prepared--topped with leaves and slowly cooked in a pit dug into the earth. To make barbacoa at home, you can use a slow cooker for tender, juicy tacos. Not around the corner, worth visiting if you're in the area and close to the Austin Airport. read more

They were such a breath of fresh air when taking my order and gave me a boost of positive energy when I wasn't feeling my best. Then when my latte was mistakenly made in a to go cup instead of for here, they made the choice to take the time, and do the right thing, remaking it for here from scratch and not just dump it into a ceramic mug. My sister lives in the area and wanted to bring us here since we brought our nephews down to visit, and it was amazing!! We are pretty COVID conscious, so we LOVED the tables spread apart. We couldn't get my nephews away from the play place, what an awesome spot for families! I got one of the sour beers. It was great, my only complaint, my nephew wanted me juice haha! Really like this place for many reasons, and it's something different each time I visit, even though I've really only gone with the same person every time! The first time was because I wanted to get ice cream from one of the food trucks so we went here after dinner. Second time was on a Saturday morning/early lunch time after playing some pickleball- it was pretty hard to decide which food to get from all the selection they have outside but we ended up going for the Mexican food truck and it was definitely the right decision! The most recent time was to meet up and talk - we were inside since it was in the middle of the afternoon and it's 100+ degrees outside. I finally got to try some brew.
