First time at MWB tonight, at the recommendation of some neighbors. Here are some thoughts: -As we were arriving, we noticed there were cars parked alongside of both sides of the road. We thought it might be crowded on a Saturday night, but didn't expect this. -When we got inside, the England World Cup game was on the big screen. Place was packed. Very fun. -My daughter got a spicy margarita, and I ordered a mango beer. Meanwhile Brewing was not on my "to try" list when we were in Austin. I think when I swept through the Yelp listing's for breweries quite some years ago it may have not been around. But I did another sweep just before our Austin trip and became aware of it and then I got the opportunity to try a beer of theirs. The beer Steve and I had was an IPA by the name of Polaroid Ghost. This was a good IPA and it had a great unfolding bouquet with it's flavor profile. It kind of had a unique signature to it which we both really liked and wasn't like a usual IPA at all. Flavors to look for with this beer are dry, clean and a dankness to the flavor profile. There is a hoppy bite but it isn't extremely strong like some IPA'S. It's just a bit more subtle. This IPA is also smooth in body which makes it a nice drink. Polaroid Ghost is a good beer to sip on in the shade as summertime turns up the heat. read more

We picked this spot for the playground and the variety of food truck options, and luckily they had a big watch party set up for the World Cup game happening that day. The outdoor patio area was really nice - an endless amount of tables available! The playground was so perfect for the kids to run around. I liked that they had different options for food trucks outside so we were able to easily find something for both adults and kids to eat. I know this is a brewery, but that's not really my thing, and surprisingly I ended up finding one of my favorite coffee drinks of the trip right here at Meanwhile. It was a seasonal shaken root beer latte and was so creamy and the perfect balance of sweetness and coffee! They even had agua frescas so our kids enjoyed that as well. We had a great time celebrating a birthday at Meanwhile Brewing. They have extensive outdoor seating as well as a small indoor area. I was a big fan of their hard seltzers, which are 11% ABV. I got the berry orange and strawberry lemonade hard seltzers. These were really good and only $10 each for a sizeable glass. I was feeling it after one, and two was a lot for me. They only had the Texas Keeper cider and no rotating options, which it says on the menu. It was a dry cider and not really my taste, although it clearly says on the menu that it is dry. My friends who drink beer liked their beer. They have a lot of IPAs. My friend bought a really cute shirt from them with dogs on the back and a dog thinking about beer on the front. Brewery stop #2 was Meanwhile Brewery, located at 3901 Promontory Point Drive also in South Austin. This brewery had its own personality and had more a homey, stay a while feel. First, when you walk up to the brewery, you immediately notice three food trucks on the left-hand side - Besame ice cream, Pueblo Viejo tacos and Distance Relatives BBQ. It is always a good idea to have food available when you are drinking beer. The venue offers a unique blend of craft beers, comfortable surroundings and friendly service. When you are at a brewery, drink beer or something like that. Meanwhile Brewing has over 90 active beers. According to the bartender, their Secret Beach IPA is a local favorite. In addition, they offer a wide range of beers including German and Italian-style pilsners, stouts, sours, and a helles lager. The Black Cherry sour was a standout. The outdoor space is a major draw for groups or families with a covered structure. With a large patio shaded by trees, a playground for kids, and a turf soccer field, it's designed for the young to more seasoned guests. The vibe is super chill with picnic tables sprinkled throughout the venue. Live music is another big draw according to one of the servers, frequently you can hear songs being belted out on the patio. Meanwhile Brewery is also do-friendly too, so fur moms and papas, prepare for some love for your fur babies. Today, a construction firm had rented a back room and the entire patio. They seemed to be having a big time. My server also said other companies and community events are hosted at Meanwhile Brewery. Came here to grab a drink with a friend and we had such a nice time here. The outdoor seating here is awesome! Such a cute vibe. Only complaint is that they make everyone stand in a single file line for the bar so it wraps around the outside of the building which seems a little silly. I ask why not. I live in Pflugerville and during COVID, I always drove here for my favorite beer to go! The drive at that time was quick and easy. Now, when I am south I always make it a point to go or bring visiting friends and family. It's a beautiful setting, spacious indoors and out. Literally one of our favorite places to visit when we're in the city! The setup, drink options and food trucks make this the perfect place to meet up with friends or a great place for a date night. The playground makes it a great place for families to come and enjoy also. We love that there's both indoor and outdoor seating. We love that they usually have a game playing, so for you sports lovers, it's also a great place to spend a Saturday or Sunday. As many times as we've been here, we've never been able to try the BBQ food truck, but the pizza and Pueblo Viejo are our go to trucks to eat at! Ingredients are fresh, portions are good, prices are reasonable, and the food tastes great. Parking can be a bit cumbersome, but circle the lot a few times if you just, cause it's a great place to hang out. Street parking is also available and a short walk to the restaurant. This is a combo review: Stopped by Meanwhile Brewing while in ATX. The brewery campus and tasting room is stunning. Outside they have a great selection of food trucks with a great variety of food options from BBQ to Pizza to Tacos to Ice Cream. I grabbed a Japanese Lager from Meanwhile and my stomach decided a Pizza and Wings from Side Eye Pie was the best food choice for lunch. I ordered a The Local Trip Pizza and Duck Confit Chicken Wings. The pizza comes topped with hi-fi oyster and crimini mushrooms, garlic cream, fontina, and herbs, I added Italian Sausage and it was a perfect combination of ingredients and toppings. The wings were excellent, I got them tossed in their Calabrian buffalo sauce, a great heat and amazing flavor. All enjoyed with a refreshing light, clean and crisp Japanese Style Rice Lager. This is a great place to stop by and enjoy a cold beer in a great atmosphere. Check out one of the food truck vendors on campus and bring the food in to the tasting room to enjoy together on a hot summer day. read more

I ordered the Darlin and my husband ordered the Invisible Gorilla - which surprised me because the menu highlighted notes of Banana and Coconut and my husband hates Bananas/Banana flavoring. That said, he thoroughly enjoyed this beer! Stouts aren't typically my thing, but I got a sip, and it was honestly the first stout I didn't make a face at. We stopped by Meanwhile Brewing on our way back from hiking in McKinney Falls State Park. It was a well-needed break for tired humans! The place was pretty packed when we arrived (around 5 pm), but we were able to find parking quickly. There's a great selection of beer and other drinks, including frose and mojitos, and they're all reasonably priced. My friend and I chose the Meanwhile lager and it was perfect with the pizza I got from Side Eye food truck. My other friends ordered mojitos (tasty) and the frose (which comes in a souvenir cup) and they all enjoyed their drinks and food as well. The place is super kid- and dog-friendly and there is plenty of seating inside and out. The weather was perfect yesterday, so we sat outside. Staff was super-friendly, too! The beer selection is a little heavy with IPAs for my taste. But otherwise there's a nice selection of other styles including Japanese ones which is new to me. There's a good selection of food trucks including a widely regarded barbecue one. Seating is mostly outside with an abundance of canopied tables, shade trees', and chairs. Counter service was friendly, helpful, and unrushed. Parking can be tight but street parking is abundant if you're working to walk a bit. Just stay off the private lots. Several of us were meeting up with a close friend that was coming into town so someone suggested we meet at Meanwhile Brewing. What a great idea! It was a little warm outside but because the indoor seating is very limited, and we had a seven year-old, we decided to go out and sit at one of the picnic tables. They have food trucks if you are hungry and lots of beer if you are thirsty. I got a frozen rosé because I am not a beer drinker and it was very good. They don't have any sweet wines so that was basically my only option, but it worked. They had a DJ that night and I'm guessing they have live bands because they really had a nice stage area. There is a playground for kids, room for them to play soccer, and plenty of things to keep them busy. This is a dog friendly place and there's a shaded area with picnic tables that I'm guessing would be really nice during cooler weather. You know how good the place is when you realize you gotta park on the streets OR the management needs to work on their parking abilities since they provide limited parking for such a high occupancy rate. My parents were in town, so my boyfriend and I took them to Meanwhile. It was our first time there, as well. The plan was to stop for a drink before heading somewhere else for a light dinner. When we arrived, there were tons of cars parked on the nearby street as well as in the lot, but we must have gotten lucky, because a car pulled out right in front of us just as we got to the lot, so we took their spot. Once inside, there were plenty of groups and families seated in the indoor, front area. There is a seating area in the back of the brewery, too, and seating outside. We ordered drinks and grabbed a seat inside to enjoy the AC, but it got pretty loud after a while so we headed outside to enjoy the live music. We ended up skipping our dinner plans and staying at Meanwhile, ordering from the taco trucks. We all got a burger, and they were quite tasty! read more

Otherwise, I say, Meanwhile beer is delicious...so grab a few six packs, and hangout in a more intimate setting with your friends- by the apartment pool, or someone's backyard. Their parking lot is too small. I was there on a Tuesday night, and had to park WAY down the street. There's room for kids to run and play, and it's dog friendly.
