Really solid KBBQ spot. A ton of options and very friendly staff. The menu and prices $26 per person is unbeatable for AYCE! We've been here and the Glendale location and this one is less busy but expect waits on weekend, holiday and roughly after 7 PM. We have been to the Mana BBQ in California and it is sooo good!! There is one in Texas thats great too! I assumed this would be the same, however, this location had a different vibe. No one greats you when you come in. You can't get on the list via Yelp ahead of time....put your name and party size down on the clip board when you arrive. Staff seemed overworked and not friendly. Took a while for our waiter to come by and check in. The place is very small compared to other Korean BBQ spots so make it hard for employees to move around. Lots of food selections on their all you can eat menu, def something for every type of eater and their sides were fresh and tasty. I think Manna BBQ is a solid spot. They are an all you can eat restaurant which is pretty nice. However due to that I think their overall quality of meat suffers a little. They have a good variety of sides and a wide selection of meat. The service and ambiance is nice as well. Waiters are very attentive and friendly. And the inside of the restaurant looks nice as well. They have a pretty long wait so if you want to eat here, come early or be prepared to wait an hour. read more

We had Manna for our anniversary dinner this year! We arrived just before 7PM on a Monday and there were several parties already waiting, including one party of 5. There was no host/hostess, instead, just a list you add your name and number of people in your party. Right above it is a list of rules/guidelines which includes remaining at Manna to be seated or risk being skipped. We waited about ~20-30 minutes and that was with 4-5 people in front of us. Being a party of 2, we were seated before the party of 5 before us (who knows how long they had been waiting/ended up waiting for). I appreciated that the table was already set with menus and banchan by the time we were seated, and that the server brought water over. You can order 3 things at a time. Service was okay; they are definitely understaffed so we put in an order every time we saw our server even if we weren't ready. We definitely ordered our money's worth (ACYE, $28): -Gyoza- 1 order comes with 2 -Corn Cheese- Best eaten hot or the cheese becomes congealed; literally just cheesy corn. -11. Chadol Baegi (Beef Brisket)- This is the thinly sliced beef you see everyone ordering. -13. Beef Belly- Like thick bacon. -14. Bulgogi- This was my favorite!! -15. YangNyum Galbi- Came separated in small pieces, making it easier to grill. -16. Manna Steak- Tough and unseasoned; season with the salt on the table. I would skip this. -28. Hawaiian Pork Belly- The canned pineapple makes it Hawaiian? -39. Vegetables- Huge slices of zucchini, mushroom, and onion that were not the best quality. For the price, it is a great value and more authentic than the popular chain ACYE Kbbq (you know which one). Wonderful service we sat right next to the kitchen so the food and drinks were given right away, but I really felt bad for the workers as their drain in the kitchen seems like it was not working it looks like it was hit with a hurricane with all the water it was really flooding badly very unsafe workplace for the workers. read more

We've been to this spot many times over the years and every time when we got guests in town we'd bring them here as well. service has always been slow but no problem I understand it's a busy restaurant... no server would ever be rude to us until this one last time we went, which was today, just now (had to write this review right away). We went around 6:30pm, waited for a table and when the table was finally ready the younger female server gave us two fingers?! To show us we could go sit there... and then she asked what we'd like to drink and that was it, never talked to us again. Ignored us every single time when she passed by us and we had to get the male server to come (he was very friendly btw)... even when I asked the female server for check she'd give me that facial expression like she didn't want us there. I've been a flight attendant for almost ten years and I deal with customers on a daily basis, hundreds of people per flight, and I'd never treat my passengers that way. No longer coming back again. Long time customer of 7 years, used to love this place until what we experienced today. Have never had a waitress so rude. We were a small group of 3 coming to celebrate our friend's birthday, we sat down and ordered our first round of food, but never received our brisket. After our first order, our waitress decided to no longer help us for some reason? She was tending to other tables around us but would not come to us to check in or even make eye contact. We don't know what we did to deserve that, we are a quiet group and we don't complain. A second waitress finally came by after waiting a long time and we were able to place our 2nd order with her, but still never received the brisket we ordered. When the first waitress walked by we asked her if we could get our brisket and she shooed us away with her hand and walked away. Never seen a waitress do that ever. So disrespectful. Also never got a refill on our waters until we pointed it out and asked to speak with the manager. We only had 2 orders of food by the time we wanted to just leave this place. Spoke to manager, who said she would talk to them but not sure if anything will actually change. She offered us free ice cream to resolve the issue, we did not accept. Went here last week with a group of friends. The service was complete crap. Sorry to be rude but it really was. Such a shame because the food is pretty good as always. First the woman who was watching over us, i understand she was the only one running 7 other tables it seems. So it was fine when she was rushing us, that was whatever. But when we weren't talked to for 30 minutes and asked another girl to stop and help us, she looked visibly upset that we had disturbed her. Finally the reason I am writing this review. There is a guy who thinks he is "funny". He came to see what out table was upto, my friend who is east Asian decided he wanted 3 more plates instead of 1, to my other friend who is Hispanic and i this was kind of funny as we were full to the brim, so another 3 plates was wild to us. We giggled to which the waiter side eyed us. After he was done taking my east Asian friend's order. He looked at us girls and when "you why are you laughing at him, i am feeling racism vibes, are you laughing because he is yellow". Now to me who is south Asian, i took this as such an insult. I got serious and was about to say something but he left quickly before I could even open my mouth. Guy came back and decided to ask my East asian friend "what kind of Asian are you?...... well because you act as a white guy, but atleast you're better than those two racist ladies there". Love this AYCE KBBQ spot! We were seated quickly on a Wednesday night. Once we were seated, the server asked if we're ready to order. Since we knew what we like, we were able to place in orders right away (drinks, apps and max of 3 meats per order - a lot of meat is provided each round). They change the grill often so the meats were never charred. It was pretty busy and it took some time to get our drinks refilled. We reminded our server for corn cheese since it didn't come out for us as the other table got their corn cheese. We ended up not receiving it but it worked out since we got full. Korean BBQ is my absolute favorite cuisine, and Manna did not disappoint. You'll have about an hour wait, so plan accordingly. They might call your name early, so don't stray off for too long. If you haven't had this yet, you must give it a try. It's a blast because you'll order one thing and get forty-five plates. What an adventure. Here, it's $26 per person, AYCE for a maximum of two hours. You make it yourself and they ask you every now and then if you want to order more. Pace yourself, because they say they'll charge you if you don't finish what you ordered. What we ordered: Grilled veggies Garlic shrimp Garlic chicken Chadol baegi (beef brisket) Bulgogi Beef tongue Yangnyum galbi (marinated thin beef ribs) Steamed egg Green salad The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because my husband wanted to order soju, and was asking the waiter about the different ones they had, and the waiter said "I don't know, I don't drink." The people serving are quick, efficient, and serviceable waisting no time as they know you are on a time limit. PLUS, THEY HAVE SOJU!!! Chamisul Fresh Ju Se Yo! Bring friends! Bring family! Bring your Bestie Beastie! Just bring your appetite as Manna will be a sure hit. Ban Chan replenished properly without a court order. The quality of meats, pork and veggies is tremendous. I am leaving this review because I want my community to do well. Do better. I have loved coming here (2nd compared to Gen, but still one of my favorites) for a while. Since they opened really. Recently, my family and I came to visit like we normally would and were sat in a reasonable time. This place is more of a squeeze, has small bathrooms, but emanates the spirit of a hardworking family/community. When we were first sat, they give you drinks/ban Chan (side dishes) and right away noticed the fish cakes tasted a little off. I saw what LOOKED like a sesame seed rolling around in the juices of the fish cake, but to our horror was some sort of small bug living his best life IN the banchan. Not like he just landed there, but was IN it. The owner reacted so nonchalantly and blamed it on the customers opening and closing the door. Upon further research, Manna BBQ received a D rating from the health department. I implore Manna and staff to please do better. Take food handling and cleanliness seriously. I'd love to come back and hopefully change my mind, but won't be for a while. read more

Went there on a Friday night. 1.5 hrs wait outside in the heat before our name was called for our table is ready. They won't let you order so much food at once bc you won't have room in table and maybe you won't finish, which is fine. They never come to check on you so you have to flag them down to order more food. Missing order and we had to order our soup again. At Korean BBQ restaurants is all about the flow of food because it's all you can eat and if there's a long pause in between orders it takes away from the excitement and you get full just waiting and eating the sides so you don't really get to enjoy the meat. Overall for the PRICE POINT OF $27 per person plus a charge penalty of $10 for over ordering and 18% gratuity for parties over 5 I just expected a more profound experience. Great space, my boyfriend and I frequent it regularly for date nights. My all time favorite japchae(must order imo)and their kimchi is to die for(get the kimchi jjigae, you won't regret it). Fresh banchan, always willing to give extra, and great meat quality(highly recommend the Hawaiian pork belly, SO good). All the staff are incredible, and we see a lot of the same faces working each time we go in. They're always so kind, and very speedy(even when we're the last table closing them out, sorry guys). Loved it for being my first Korean bbq experience. We chose bigogi meat which was tender n delicious and garlic shrimp. I wish they would have peeled the shrimp and then marinated it, because after you peel it, it has no flavor. All the other "all u can eat" sides were also really tasty. All of these were really good. We didn't even get white rice because we wanted to save our stomachs. This place fills up quickly. Servers are diligent in getting the orders in & the food came out fast. For the meats, we ordered BEEF BRISKET, BEEF BELLY, GALBI, BONELESS SHORT RIB, HAWAIIAN PORK BELLY, & MANNA STEAK. I will say the Manna steak was our least favorite because it was TOUGH but all the other meats were good quality. Between 3 people we put away a lot of food & was so full we didn't even eat dinner. Sam was our server, he was excellent, super attentive, extremely knowledgeable and happy to share, and super friendly. Having never been to a cook your own, all you can eat Korean BBQ, and having read the rules that sound kind of strict, we figured we'd rarely see our server when we wanted more meat. We were totally wrong! Sam was right there anytime we needed anything and our meat orders came as often as we wanted it, and quickly! The Bulgogi beef and short ribs were incredible, our favorite by far. The banchans were fresh and delicious and included kimchee, radish, cucumber, fish cake (nope!), bean sprouts, and a scoop of mashed potato that looked like ice cream. All were excellent, but no fish cakes pass these lips (again, blek no matter where I get them). We cooked some veggies including very large mushroom stem slices and zucchini, and onion. With so much meat available, I couldn't bring myself to use much of the grill for veggies, they were alright. We tried a few pork meats but didn't love them, they were fresh and beautiful, just not our flavor after the bulgogi beef and short ribs,...man we're they good! Tried the beef tongue, but it was pretty chewy and we were packed. We also ordered the kimchee soup which was delicious. Both the cold kimchee and the kimchee soup/stew were stellar! Love kimchee. The soft steamed egg was also very good. Garlic shrimp and gyoza were good too. We started with a salad, Sam recommended we share one, he was spot on, it was huge and the dressing was excellent. Even though we ate way too much, we'll be ready and willing to go back soon. This was genuinely a five star experience all around. NOT MY FAVORITE AZ KBBQ SPOT I came with a large group of 7 to throw a going away party for a coworker who is moving states. We wanted to go to GEN, but they always have long wait times, especially for large groups, and do not do reservations. We had a reservation for 7:30 and got seated around 7:45 in the back where they have larger tables! They had kpop music playing in the front of the restaurant, but not in the back unfortunately. It was silent, and the TVs were playing some random channel with ads. It would be a fun touch to maybe play kpop music videos or Korean dramas on the TVs like some other KBBQ restaurants do. Our server was so friendly, funny, and helpful though! We loved her from start to finish. In terms of food, this is not my favorite place. A lot of the meat was too fatty, and not in a melt-in-your-mouth kind of way. I'm not sure what exact meat was what, but we believe it was the chadol and the bulgogi that were really fatty. The side dishes were okay, it was not the best kimchi ever, which is always a big determiner of how I rank a Korean restaurant. The side salad was not my favorite compared to some of the other KBBQ restaurants. The corn cheese was great though, just be sure to eat it fresh while the cheese is still melted! The gyoza was nice and crisp and they gave us a lot of it in our order! All in all, I would only return for large gathering perhaps if I'm invited. Great AYCE Korean bbq spot! What sets this place apart is on the AYCE menu you can also get bibimbab, ramen and other sides like that I haven't seen many other places. This was my first time trying Korean BBQ and I was NOT disappointed. Super cool concept and all the different meats were delicious. There was not one food item that I did not like. I have been craving this meal ever since I went - too bad it's so far from me! I might have to take a trip back to Phoenix just for this place, I am getting hungry just thinking about it! The only reasons I took off a star was because of the service. While it was fast, they forgot items each time and didn't really explain which items were which. Overall, it was fine, but we had to ask for items over and over. We had to wait a bit (which was fine, it was Valentines Day), but the process was very disorganized. There isn't really a host so it gets confusing as to what you are supposed to do when you walk in. Such a good AYCE KBBQ in the area. The meats are marinated, like the teriyaki bulgolgi, so well and the sides are amazing, the cheese corn especially. They patrol up and down the aisle so they're pretty speedy with taking orders and getting them out. I noticed some are easier to grab than others and some more attentive. It's relatively noisy from nearby conversations and the grills but that's to be expected and that's the whole appeal of AYCE. read more

I've been to Jin Bbq and Gen. Both were mediocre at best. Manna bbq definitely has a Korean bbq feel from the moment you step through the door. The ajemma was super friendly and helpful. Service was fast and the restaurant was clean! We went for lunch so it wasn't too busy but there was definitely a crowd. This is my favorite Korean restaurant in Phoenix besides Hodori. If you are in phx and hungry for Korean bbq. Take the extra time and go to Manna bbq. It's worth the Uber ride. read more
