I certainly hope the store manager for this store cares enough to read reviews that customers like myself take the time to write. There' a woman named "ROBIN" in their juniors department that needs serious training along with an attitude adjustment. I have been a loyal shopper of Macy's for decades spending tens of thousands of dollars there over the year. Well no more thanks to Robin's nasty attitude.
I was at the store around 7:00 PM yesterday, 9/20/2013 in the junior department looking for a homecoming gown for my daughter. Well, there was a specific dress she liked, but we couldn't find her size so I went to the check out line so I could ask them to see if they had the dress or if it was at another Macy's. I went to the only line there was and was then told with the customer that was being rung up to go to the opposite side which I complied with. The ROBIN showed up and scolded me for where I was standing, you know, where the other lady just moved me to, and said I was standing in the wrong place and that I needed to move, however she didn't specify where to and certainly there was no sign indicating where I was to stand. I was the only customer in line at the time as the lady in front of me was already being rung up. So I asked her where I should stand and she pointed to a random location not on either side but facing the inside counter of the register. At that point, another woman walked up who then got behind me. I kid you not, not three second later she says 'I can take the next person in line" which was of course me after she made me stand on the side "in line" when she could have just taken me to her register knowing that was her intention. I mean seriously, I felt like I was running laps around the damn cashier station for Robin's entertainment. And then when she finally looked up the dress, we asked her to look up by size with us looking for two different sizes and told her our size preference between the two and she proceeded to tell us she was not going to look them up in the order we wanted but in the opposite order instead. As it turned out, or so she claimed, the dress wasn't anywhere local so my daughter walked away. I then told ROBIN that I was originally standing where the other cashier told me to and her response was "well, she's knew". I responded by telling her "well, I'm not".
She's a rotten horribly rude person and I will never return after being such a faithful Macy's customer even when so many others have been less faithful. This sort of nonsense would never happen at Nordstrom, where I have been shopping more and more, and in fact if you were to stand in line at the wrong place at Nordstrom, they'd probably being willing to move the register to where you were or go to another store themselves just to accommodate my daughter's dress wishes. Macy's is now garbage and not what they used to be.
And by the way, if you read this ROBIN, rest assured I'm contacting your corporate office (I have your CEO's personal address) and will be letting them know how nasty you treated us and how you ruined my daughter during such a special time for her as she shopped for her homecoming dress. read more
