I was supposed to bring a spare shirt that I was going to throw on over my uniform t-shirt. And of course, I left it in the living room at home where I wouldn't forget to grab it. I haven't had any terrible experiences here that I can recall it's a pretty standard Old Navy, larger location since it's located in the suburbs. The lines go by fast and they usually have my size in stock. It's decently organized as much as fast fashion can be. Sometimes the fitting rooms can have long lines or they aren't cleaned out which is a bummer but that's the price you pay for good family deals I suppose. I came in the store to buy two dresses for a trip. The systems were down so I couldn't buy the dress and had to come back. I called the number here the next day but it was out of service. Then I drove back the next from 20 miles away and the system is still down. You can't even buy anything online and take it from the store. I just got off the phone with old navy. I ordered over 20 items. They missed one item, and sent me only 1 short on a 2 packs order. I called them spending 25 minutes on the phone, they refused to either credit me back or send me a new one which makes more sense. Instead, they asked me to fill in a claim and/or go to the store?? I have recently been loving the sales at old navy but I'm super frustrated with the checkout system! I bought a few items from there a week ago, today I went to go put on a top and there were security tags on them...I didn't beep when leaving the store nor was there anyone to take the tags off when I was checking out. I get it, there is a lack of staff but there should be a system in place for ensuring the security tags are removed. Now I will have to find a way to get them off or just throw the tops away because I threw my receipt away. Kind of annoying if you ask me! I went in today to used my super cash and rewards cash. I found a few items and went to try them. When I left the fitting room, the associate said, "Which ones don't you want?" in a hurried tone although there was no one else waiting for the fitting room. Hmmm... Then, I waited in a fairly long line. I heard people complaining about the wait, even though line moved fairly quickly. The employees are friendly and were very helpful. This review is based on their online order drive up/pick up. I am so relieved that they have drive up order pick up now. I have ordered online a few times in the past and their pick up system in their store was terrible, frustrating, and so unorganized! What a 180°! Unfortunately, when I placed my order; it indicated that it would be ready within two hours and I would be notified via email and text. Well, I didn't get it until a few hours later even though I did a few errands in Dublin so I had to pick it up two days later. Once I pulled into the stall, I called their number that I received via text. The associate asked me what stall I parked in and to have my trunk or back of the car open and readily have my ID for verification. Within two minutes she was at my car and asked to see my ID (mask on and I held out my ID as far as I could). It was such a quick and easy process! Whew. Store return policy changed all of sudden after 30 days. No signs up, no update on windows or register giving anyone a heads up... no emails from corporate no heads up nothing they made a "company decision" to not accept anything even for store credit after 30 days. I spend a lot of money here on my family of 3 kids! No more. Ok after 30 days we get it, I can understand but a store credit for moms would be ideal. They offer nothing at all after 30 days. No major complaints. Old Navy is a great store if you want something cute, but don't want to spend a lot of money. I find the Dublin store has better service than most Old Navys. It isn't perfect and sometimes you might get someone who doesn't really know what they are doing, but there is usually a store manager that does. PROS: ORDER ONLINE Pick up in store for free - Easy, convenient and if you don't like it you can try it on and return it right there. DEALS - Lots of sales online and in store, makes it easy to get a good deal. SERVICE - is better than other Old Navys I have been too. JEANS - Great quality, cute, last a long time, can get them for only $15 on sale. CONS: QUALITY - Although it is inexpensive, some of the clothes get old fast, especially sweaters and cotton business pants. This is your typical Old Navy. It's located near some of the car dealerships and in the complex with a lot of other stores, it's actually a very big big complex it is located in. I feel like when I drive in, I get confused where I am going but I make it to where I need. The store is large and it has a large selections of stuff. The dressing room was messier than I would like, someone left some food item or something disgusting in there and it was just sitting there as I was getting changed. The lines always seem long here, I guess it's pretty busy or maybe I came around a busy time? I think of Old Navy like the cheaper version of Gap. The clothes are okay, they aren't the best but they are cheaper in cost than their other sister stores. Sometimes, you can find some good deals on some items. So life is busy. I have kids, work, chores, errands, after school activities and my dear mom is on Hospice care. Sorry but returning a pair of brand new jeans to Old Navy fell off the radar. So, today, 107 days after I bought the jeans, I took them back. They were brand new, with the tags, never worn and I had my original receipt. Although my receipt clearly says "merchandise with receipt may be returned at anytime for the original form of payment for price paid or you may apply price paid towards a merchandise exchange", the cashier told me she was unable to return the jeans because it was past the 90 days. Me: Can you please show me on my receipt where it says it has to be within 90 days? Cashier: Umm... hmm... yea, it's not on there but that's our policy. Me: The receipt says I can return it at ANY TIME. Cashier: The policy is within 90 days. Me: No, you need to honor what's on my receipt. Cashier: No, our policy changed. Me: OK, so the policy changed, but when I bought these jeans, this wasn't your policy. It's not like I've had these for three years. It's been just over 90 days, which isn't even stated on my receipt. The jeans are brand new, with the tags on and I would like the credit to go back on my credit card. You need to honor what's on my receipt. Cashier: We can't do that. The policy is 90 days. After going through the same thing with a manager who's hair got tangled up with a Clorox bottle, and standing firm on my ground, I was able to get a credit. However, at first the manager said no. Then later changed it and told me she wouldn't be able to give me the full purchase price because it was past the darn 90 days. Finally, she did give me a full refund (credit back to my credit card) but only after asking for my ID multiple times, some heavy sighs, and acting like she was doing me a huge favor. Between standing in the long line and then standing at the register, this simple return took close to 30 minutes. Worth the money I got back on my credit card? Hardly. But businesses need to honor their own policy that they print on the receipt. read more

I can't really say anything bad besides it seems like they were low on stock on some of the menswear items especially the smaller sizes. I had to ask a staff member to get the small size from off the mannequin. Oh yea, they offer Old Navy "cash" to spend the next time you come in between a range of dates, but when you read the fine print you can only use the "cash: if you buy a certain amount. Other than that, overall I usually find stuff I like at Old Navy especially for my fiancé. Good basic polos and button up shirts. They also sell sports T-shirts like 49ers, which is something I'll remember in case I ever need to stock up on some sports gear to show that Bay Area team spirit! I bought some awesome surprisingly comfy leopard heels. They weren't a super high heel nor old lady low heel, just the right medium height heel. I wore them to work, and they didn't give me blisters! You could come here at one of their slowest times and there will still be a long line at the front because they only have one person working the register! I'll start this with a disclaimer. I hate clothes shopping. No, really. I HATE clothes shopping. Especially for pants. That said, I have been to this store several times because it is convenient and they often have really good prices on clothing and excellent sales. However, aside from their jeans, I am not a big fan of Old Navy clothes. I've bought some shorts that were cheap and didn't look too bad, but were poorly designed and very uncomfortable. I ended up getting rid of them a couple of months later. So much for saving myself money. Now I often find myself settling when I buy pants (which is why I bought the above shorts) and that is because I find it almost impossible to find a decent pair of pants that fit me properly. I don't really understand why as I am not unusually short (I am petite but not tiny) and I don't think I have a weird shape. But anyway, I found myself desperately needing a pair of decent work pants and bras. I am very hesitant to buy these things online because of my history with finding properly fitting clothes Forget the bras. Old Navy doesn't carry lingerie. So onto the pants. I ended up trying on 12 or so (many on sale). Now, these are all one brand and yet the sizes were all over the map. One size in one style I would be able to squeeze into. The same size in another style would swim on me. I know there are things like skinny pants etc, but I am also talking waist size here. Also, the length of the pants were crazily different even for pants that were labeled as "regular". I couldn't find any petite pants at all and finally asked the sales associate about that (who by the way had been having the worst coughing fit I had ever seen). Turns out Old Navy doesn't carry petite sizes in their store but they are available online! Huh?. Now why would I want to go online and order their petite sizes if I can't even figure out what size I am in person? Complete bust and an utter waste of my time! I had a previous review here that I deleted because one optimist felt like I was being too much of a "Bitter Betty." It was an old review anyway, (from 2007) and l am sure the employees that I complained about have moved on to other things. People don't tend to last long in retail unless they know and enjoy what they are doing which is obvious at this store that they do not. And yes, I do know what I am talking about here as my Mother and Grandfather each worked in retail for more than 60 years collectively. I was raised in retail. I'll keep it simple. I really try to avoid this store. I've been there twice since my last pessimistic review, hoping for a good time, but the service still sucked. The selection still sucked. They are always out of what they advertise. I usually try to just walk past them on my way to T.J. Maxx. If you don't like this review, tough cookie. One month you may buy a pair of jeans and you'll get a coupon for your next pair. Another time stuff maybe be marked down as much as 70% off. I am in love with one brand of jeans they carry "Rock Star" comfy, affordable, can fit most sized women and stretch material. My friends and I look like we dress alike 'cause we're all loving this Brand. Wide selection of Yoga and workout wear. Sure, you can shop anywhere these days (Target even) for athletic wear but it's nice to be able to hit up a store front with its own section in place and not have to drive all the way to the mall, as an example. read more

Old Navy used to be my go-to place for clothing until the paragon outlets opened! But they still have some amazing cute stuff at very decent prices. It's owned by the same company as Banana Republic and GAP, so it's essentially the same clothes, just priced differently. I absolutely love that they have $5 flip flops, because I wear mine out too fast, and they have a great selection of sporty, cute, and casual clothes to pick from. I bought some of the comfiest yoga pants from here, and I still jog in them to this day :-) The line tends to move really slowly sometimes, but if you don't mind waiting to be rung up, the place isn't so bad. Wow what a busy ON. I drove out here from the Peninsula, only to not pay shipping costs for something that was sold out online and they had my size....I know! I spent it in gas money. Wow (read: sarcastically). I placed an order online and went to the store. I didn't see any cancelled e-mail until I checked my spam. The email says that the item was out of stock. Since I was already there I decided to check if the item was there. And it was. There was one left. When I asked the salesperson why they cancelled my order she replied "when we just have a few, we cancel the order". Seriously? They have a good selection of sizes and most times this locations is well organized and not too crazy busy. They seem to keep a decent number of registers open. I'm a fan of Old Navy for cheap, cute summer dresses and their endless clearance options. Easy and plentiful parking along with a clean well kept store. Let me start by saying I love Old Navy as a company. Pros: Lines are handled well, calling up multiple team members when the line gets long. In this store, 90% of their team members are very nice and helpful. Store is always clean and organized. Cons: One time I was being rung up for a large order, the team member kept answering her earpiece because management kept telling her it was time for her to go on break - multiple times while she was helping me. She remained professional and kept replying that she was assisting a customer and almost finished. Not sure why they were constantly badgering her to go on break when she is telling them she is in the middle of assisting a customer? The manager Heidi who rung me up was extremely rude and condescending, ripping items out of my hand and crumpling them into a ball before putting them in my bag. I had a couple of questions on coupons and such and her response was more defensive than respectful. I won't shop in this store again until she is gone, I'll just shop online. read more

I only walked in the door because Old Navy was next door to Party City and I had 15 minutes to kill while they filled 25 balloons with helium for a birthday party this evening. I don't usually shop at Old Navy other than to buy jeans that really fit. I mean, their target market is a MUCH younger and trendier crowd than I. Their shorts are... well... short - really short... like show your cheeks short... They make women my age look like they're trying too hard. And I really don't like the commercials with the mannequin families. REALLY DON'T LIKE THEM. Yet, here I am with 15 minutes to kill; it won't hurt just to browse and laugh at their overly trendy clothes, right? Thirty minutes later there I am standing in line with my arms full of adorable clothes at bargain prices. Who knew? Old Navy has a wonderful selection of jeans in all different shapes and sizes because women come in all shapes and sizes and need different types of jeans to flatter their bodies. I appreciate that they have clearly marked all their styles of jeans so that you know how high or low the waistline is and how snugly or loosely they are going to fit. There's really something here for everyone, yet I didn't buy a single pair on this visit. Why? Because there was so much other cute stuff on sale that I filled my arms just with sale and clearance items. Dresses originally $25 for $8? Yes, please! It was a one day only sale and I just wished they'd had my size in more colors! Henley tops in both bright and muted colors, stripes and solids, two for $10? Where do i sign up? Clearance tops for $2.99? They knew what they were doing when they put the clearance racks right next to where I was standing in line waiting for the dressing rooms. I had only the dress when I got in line, but my arms were full by the time I made it into a fitting room. And almost everything fit, not just in size, but in the cut and how the fabric hung off of or clung to my body. The ladies (and guys) working the checkout stations were moving people through pretty efficiently, yet they still had the time to chit chat and laugh with me about my purchases. The girl helping me asked if I found everything I was looking for and when I told her the story about killing time whilst the balloons were filled she and the lady at the next register got to giggling and teasing me about whether I wanted to make another couple passes through the store before I left. Getting back into loving their clothes again. I ordered online yet some of the pieces were fitting annoyingly so I decided to return those wares at the Dublin store while visiting my sister and niece. I walk up and here standard club music playing live and was like WTF? Standing right in front of me at the entrance was a live DJ and over-bubbly associates welcoming me to the store. My head started to bob then I bursted into dance while everyone began to crowd around me. I was hot and everyone in the store knew it... I woke up and realized I was actually dancing like Elaine from Seinfeld. Ok that would've been really bad because I looked like Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc with a black shirt on and that's tragic in itself! I just bobbed my head a little and then walked toward the registers to complete the reason I came in. The line was pretty long but they had enough people at the registers. I looked down the line of associates helping other customers and spotted this handsome man amongst ogres. I hoped I'd be helped by him and just as he was finishing with his customer, I was called up by a lady that looked like Roz, you know the counter clerk that helps Mike! Oh well I decided I would catch a glance as I walked off in a bit. I asked the lady why the live DJ and she said "Oh we have a new manager and he wanted to have a live DJ for his first day here as a welcome gift". I instantly thought oh wow, self-centered much?! Boy these associates are in for the rides of their lives if their new manager is going to feed off of self-importance. As I walked out and started to near "handsome man", he busted into a dance which reminded me of a contestant on RuPaul's Drag Race, just picture Sashay Shauntee...I was instantly not interested yet he gave me a wink...Eww. I found the cutest little khaki shorts that were marked at $9.49 ON the clearance rack that clearly stated "TAKE ADDITIONAL 50% OFF" there were 4 other pairs on the rack, so it obviously wasn't a mistake. She rings it up and it comes up as $9.49, mind you I CAN AFFORD the $9.49 but come on, they are supposed to be on clearance. My aunt and both tell her that there were a few other pairs on the rack, my aunt even told her I will run and grab them all or show you where they were... she had major attitude and kept saying, "if it was ON clearance it would ring up AS clearance." I haven't shopped at Old Navy in a loooong time but when my friend came to town to visit, we decided to hit them up. With my recent weight loss, i was (and to a point, still am!) in dire need of proper fitting pants! I really just wanted a nice dark pair of jeans for work, and i was ecstatically surprised at how well the Sweetheart style fit! (I knew my current jeans were too big and baggy, but i hadn't realized how much!) I discovered that i actually had legs! :p When Meli spotted us in the dressing room, and my beaming face at the flattering pants i'd found, she immediately asked my size, and proceeded to grab pants and tops for me to try on. She even was able to get me to try on skinny jeans- something i've never EVER considered! Now granted, i didn't buy the skinny jeans, but that is because i'm more of a bootcut girl. I never thought the skinny jeans style was something flattering for my body type. But i still tried them on, wavered a bit and gave them a chance! Meli was wonderful and picked out some great things for me to experiment with. I ended up buying one pair of jeans (dark wash like i wanted and even stretch, and which turned out to be on sale (woooo!!!), 4 tops, and 2 cami tanks. I spent a grand total of $75 and was well worth it. I wear the jeans and tops all the time! I also proceeded to go back the following week to buy a lighter wash pair of jeans of the same style, which were also on sale! I ran into Meli again, and she asked me about the skinny jeans again - wow, she remembered?! To which i answered that i wasn't quite there yet, but appreciated her opening my eyes to new styles. I will definitely come back here to shop again soon. The staff that i encountered was very friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to help me find some great clothes. read more

As the mother of a four year old, Old Navy has always been a godsend. Cute clothes that are very affordable without looking like they came from a Chinatown knock-off store. Sadly though, the Dublin store is a huge disappointment! If you have a son that is infant to toddler sized, this location doesn't have much of a selection. The part of the store that they devote to boys is barely more than a wall, while the girls selection is overflowing! I once asked a cashier about this and she said "Well it's probably because there are more girls out there." Um..Okay.. So I asked a manager about this and she said that many customers also had my same complaint and she honestly didn't know why they didn't increase their boys inventory and that it was up to the regional managers, etc. She then added that I could shop online, which is something I have already done for sometime. Who knows? Maybe one day the higher-ups will realize that there are many families with young boys in the tri-valley. I have to agree with other Yelpers about the lack of cashiers during peak times. It is frustrating waiting in line for 10 minutes or more while there seem to be plenty of employees on the floor. read more
