The people are much nicer at this location than the Concord location but I'm always surprised at how little their toddler and young girl selection is. It's almost not even worth looking at. It's a hit or miss with this store. I'm used to the huge Old Navy Outlets in NYC and SoCal, so this store seems a little bit more on the pricier side for me. Every now and then, the store has some good sales such as half off on men's clothing, $1 flip flops, $2 tanks, and so on. But, when those sales for women go on, the store gets crazy. The one thing I am annoyed with is the fact that they got rid of all their maternity clothing. I asked an employee there as to what happened to all the maternity clothes, and she said that they don't carry them anymore, and that they're the only store who does not have them. read more

I love Old Navy. Personally, their clothing fits really well and since I wear shirts more often than not, I walk into ON!! Its a smaller store than the one in SF. That's where I usually shop for clothing because they tend to have more variety in the SF store, seeing as it is a bigger store. Why only 3 stars? I've been really into old navy lately because they have been having some great clearance deals. Discounted on top of more discounts... And I end up with dresses for like $7... The lines are really long whenever I go. I probably go when everyone else goes, after work. The selection is fair. This is a smaller location, I think... So they don't have as much as other locations. It's fine. But yesterday, I had a little conversation with an employee that kind of bordered on rude. Like a backhanded compliment. I have a kate spade bag that I bought for myself. It's bright, eye-grabbing... And leather. I placed the bag on the counter to pay for my purchase. The girl behind the counter is helping me... She says, "I love your kate spade bag. I can't wear those bags though." I think to myself, "maybe she thinks she couldn't pull it off. That's not true. She could." But I say, "oh really? Why not?". "Because it's leather." Then she went on and on about bags she can't wear because they aren't vegan. And I'm like wow. I really don't care about your ethical stand on handbags. I know that sounds really rude of me. But I found it irritating. I really didn't care about what she was saying at this point. I kind of had a figurative "k." written on my face. I know I will be back because I like to buy things from old navy but I want to do without this kind of conversation next time. read more

My visit here was pretty painless. I have an adorable 1.5 year old nephew and is constantly in need of clothes. Everything I got him was 50% off. A jacket, a two piece pajama set and a pair of socks were under $30. Nice. I also came to an Old Navy looking for Halloween costumes and they were so adorable! If you need to just return something try to go when they just open so you won't have to wait so much. The workers are friendly and helpful enough. No complaints there. I'm not pleased with my experience at Old Navy. I rang up my purchase & the cashier spoke very quickly after he charged me & said "We're not doing print receipts anymore so what's a good email for you?" I see plain as day there is a receipt printer at each station so I ask him, "You can't print one for me?" He quickly said "No" and I felt completely forced to give over my email address in order to get a receipt. Reluctantly I gave it to him & he proceeded to reach over to the pinpad & hit "I agree" FOR ME to receive old navy emails & promos, before I could barely read what it was I was agreeing to!!!! This is the reason I didn't want to give my email in the first place. I told him I didn't want to be signed up for any ongoing emails & his response was "You can unsubscribe." Are you kidding me!?? I never wanted to subscribe in the first place! I walked away dumbfounded & annoyed & as I did so he said that it will be a California law soon. What he is referring to is a law that isn't even passed yet, which says that CA business will only print receipts upon request from the customer. I requested one. I didn't get one. And that law doesn't exist yet. I felt rushed & pressured, and not given a friendly experience here. Stopped by to look at the new spring/summer dresses... #1. 5 stars on cleanliness of the store. I saw 3 employees on the girls side straightening and folding. Everyone said hi and asked if I was finding everything okay... that was nice.. #2. 3 stars -- typical Old Navy ... they have petite/regular/long in EVERY OTHER SIZE except my size... which I'll say is a 6-or-8... depending on how the pant is cut... Oh well. #3. My biggest complaint, the ladies clearance section is 2 racks high... and I can-NO-WHERE-NEAR-REACH the top rack... *SIGH* . I'm 5'1", and I had heels on after work... So I didn't even bother looking through it because I couldn't reach it to get something down and #4 The clearance was a wreck. The whole store was PRISTINE, except that... another reason why I didn't want to look at it. I'd rather see some unfolded shirts here and there on the full priced or sale items... but there's NOTHING worse than a disgusting clearance section! Oh well ... will I be back? Got nothing but love for this Old Navy! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The store is is well organized and stocked. Every corner of the store is clean. Great deals are found around every turn! Once I got to the checkout counter, they even gave my little one a balloon. This place is kept pretty clean compared to some of the old navy's I've been to. Bathrooms were clean but needed to be restocked. I only happen to go to this store because I'm shopping at the other stores in Hacienda. On the few occasions I do browse I've then left because I can not take standing in that never moving line to purchase my items. On one occasion I saw a shirt that was really cute for my upcoming travels so I bought that and some shorts which obligated me to stand in the winding forever time frozen register line. When I got home the shorts didn't fit but I dred to take them back so they're just at home never to be worn and I'm out the money *which I'm happy to do to avoid a line again. I'm not sure what exactly takes them sooooo long. I guess they handle everything at the check out registers I saw people making exchanges, paying their old navy credit cards, online orders etc.. I saw no reason why each transaction was taking so long. Another HUGE problem to me is their signage & accuracy in the register. They have tons of signs as something is always on sale yet it never rings up properly. I bought two sets of gloves one for a boy on for a girl both on sale, both the same price yet they ring up $3.97 and $ 4.00 I don't care about the $.03 its just a matter that the system is always wrong. I attempted to purchase a fleece on sale for $8.00 but when I get to the register it rang up $10.00 the cashier offered to go check but refer to the never ending line statements above. I was already in line forever and just wanted to leave so I didn't purchase a lot of items I had intended on purchasing because the prices were always wrong. I came here few weeks ago to see if this location sold long sleeved shirts for my tot because prior to coming here I went to their online store and they sold them there. Usually, if the online store carries the clothes I'm looking for .. for the most part, the actual stores would have them too and they did thankfully!! After a bad experience with the Concord Old Navy, I spoke to An associate named Chandler that was very courteous and helpful with my needs. I came in and they gave me a full refund and re-entered my purchase manually (over 15 items) with a reflection of a promotional discount with out hesitation. Chandler was amazing and also the floor staff who were very helpful as well. The inventory here is way better than concord and Walnut Creek location. Horrible service at this Old Navy. I have been an Old Navy cardholder for 3 years now and shop at Gap and Banana republic for quite some time now. This store had horrible service and the store manager 'Evelyn' was downright rude. They sold us defective item and when we went to return it they blamed us. I went in looking for cream white long pants. A lady called Ta'lia was amazing at helping me try to find what I was looking for, she was efficient and very polite. Sadly they did not have any more cream pants, but Ta'lia made our dark discovery painless. More about the store: the price scanners did not work, so we had to use a barcode app to price check. The customer service is horrible! I wish I could give it zero stars. I went in to return a gift and they didn't have any merchandise cards to put the money on. After 10 minutes of them trying to find a merchandise card, they told me I need to drive to another Old Navy to return my item. They would not override the need to put the money on a merchandise card and were very rude about it. It was their fault their store was out of merchandise cards, yet I am the one who is very inconvenienced. I can't say much about this store except that this Old Navy location in Dublin, CA is just the worse I have ever come across in a retail clothing store. Why? Because due to VERY POOR management, and a few of the associates who have portrayed themselves as individuals who do NOT value customer service and do not care to meet the needs of the customer. Example: I called the store and spoke to Samantha who is one of the managers. I asked her if she could connect me to a person in the front to find out if they had a specific item in the store. I could tell by the background silence over the telephone she was not on the sales floor where there is usually loud music. She said she could but then stated that they were REALLY BUSY and that I'd be on hold for awhile. I then asked her if she knew if they had on stock the Rockstar low-rise ---and I was cut off. !!!! Omg. What kind of manager cuts off a customer and doesn't allow them to finish. ?? Samantha then said with certainty ...Not just once but TWICE....that they do not have *****ANY low-rise Rockstars.***** Because she said it with such certainty,...and TWICE..I decided to leave it at that. However something made me call back because I had the feeling she was wrong. And unfortunately...Samantha picked up the phone again. I told her that I'd like to be connected to the front to speak with someone who works with stocking the clothing. While she connected me to someone who works stocking the clothing....and while on hold while the young girl was looking for it....I ended up going into the store to look for the Rockstars---Low-rise pants I wanted to purchase. And guess what I found?!!!! Yes...I found a good number of Low-rise Rockstar pants on the shelves that contradicted Samantha's statement that they don't have ANY low-rise rockstar pants. And this is only just ONE example of the HORRIBLE customer service this store delivers. To top this....was two of the other managers, Evelyn and Chelsea, who portrayed themselves as immature, unprofessional....not knowing the meaning of customer service. 1) Evelyn......you don't tell a customer to shop somewhere else only because you can't take constructive criticism when you are told that management needs to better train the associates (when one associate informed me that she could not look up what other stores had an item in my size at the cash register). And 2) Chelsea....this was one of the managers that again needs to learn to hold her tongue and just LISTEN CAREFULLY rather than argue with the customer and tell the customer, "No you need to listen to me!" Oh My! FYI ......1- you never argue with the customer and in front other customers too ! and then illustrate your unprofessionalism and immaturity by telling the customer as you did....."No you need to listen to me!" 2- When you are not allowing the customer to talk so you can understand the needs of the customer.....how can you possibly deliver good customer ???!!! 3-....if a customer gives you a gift card with a balance and one of the new associates did not properly process that transaction using a gift card....and that balance somehow gets zeroed out,....you don't tell the customer that you can't do anything and that the customer has to be the one to call corporate!!!! on a weekend. Seriously. ??? Then,...and only when the customer insists on YOU to fix the problem the store associate you're working with....then you pick up the phone to call and restore my previous gift card balance? Now that just COMPLETELY showed laziness and VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Bottom line....these individuals, who informed me are mangers at this store, .....IMHO portrayed themselves to not really know what customer service is let alone value a customer's shopping needs,.. There was no respect coming from these individuals on different occasions. And IMHO....this store is one store that needs serious training. To drive 40 Minutes away to shop at another Old Navy just to avoid what I feel to be utter incompetence and an unprofessional environment is worth my time. read more

The Old Navy location in Dublin in Hacienda Crossing plaza is in dire need of hiring individuals who are MATURE and PROFESSIONAL so that a good level of customer service is provided to its new...and return customers. In my personal opinion,....the Hiring Manager should be much more selective in hiring the best fit,...and not just any young kid who is rude to the very people (the customers) who make it possible for them to work. Tonight I went to go shopping for a few pair of my favorite jeans and upon arrival at the cash wrap where the registers are......I had THE most shocking experience I have come across with one of the cash register associates, whose name was JUAN. The first thing that caught my eye was when this teenager stuck his finger in his mouth to moisten his fingertip with his saliva. Uh...,GROSS. He did this so he could get the plastic bag for the customer before me. Yeah,...great way to spread germs and viruses. I noticed that there was a bottle of the Purell hand sanitizer at the next door register. I took it upon myself to bring it over to him and ask if he could use it. He clumsily did so and as he was ringing up the pairs of pants,...I asked if those were on sale as I thought I saw that it was on sale,.....this then prompted me to ask if I could speak to a manager. So he calls her and as I wait,...this "boy" said in such a rude and demanding tone, " Will you put that back where you found it !" I then said to him, "Excuse me?" And then he said, "I said to put that back where you found it...." in a more obnoxious immature and unprofessional manner. I then told him that he shouldn't be talking like that to a customer, and that he could put it back if he would like. IRONICALLY, he then calls the manager on duty, Niesha, who said she was the hiring manager, and told her, "I have a customer here that's being rude. And I don't want to deal with this." Anyone who knows the meaning of quality customer service knows that 1) you never talk back to the customer and 2) you should never dictate to a customer to do anything like JUAN did,.....Especially if it's something you could do since you're the one who works for the company So Niesha comes over to the register and I explain to her what was done and said and informed her that he should not be talking to a customer like he did and that he needs some serious coaching. Niesha then stated that she would have a talk in private with him....and then informed me that he is in training. With all this in mind, especially with Juan's comment stating that "he doesn't want to deal with this rude customer" (.......which was comically ironic as Juan had just accused the person HE was rude to..as being rude).......JUAN clearly should find a job elsewhere. DEFINITELY not a good fit...there are plenty of people unemployed who would appreciate the job that JUAN has no respect for and OLD NAVY's customers. Juan.....if you can't communicate, be respectful towards the very people who make it possible for you to have a job......and act professionally and MATURE in the field of customer service........save everyone a favor of having to deal with someone that earned himself an image of someone who lacks the essential skills when working with the public. Maturity is one of many of these skills. People skills are essential when you work in retail or the customer service industry. GOOD Customer service starts with its store leaders,...which includes the hiring manager. Time to re-evaluate ! Wow. What more can I say? When you need cheap clothes that don't make you look like a freak and aren't knockoffs, what better place to get them? My girlfriend got a pair of khakis and 2 polo's here for $22. You can't beat that! With the amount of traffic that flows into this store, you can't be surprised with how disheveled some areas in the store are. Don't expect a whole lot of help from the employees because they're all off in their own little world, but if you need some nice cheap clothes come here. read more

I really want to love this location...I really do. Two of my other favorite stores are real close (Babies R Us and Barnes & Noble). I just can't love it though. I honestly prefer the location at Bay Fair. Why you ask??? Well, for one, I've been given much better service at the Bay Fair location. The employees seem friendlier and generally every time I visit that location, someone asks if I need help finding anything. At the Dublin store...not so much. Usually in this store if I walk by an employee, they put their head down really quick, and I'm almost suprised that I can't hear them praying...."please don't let her ask me a question". The general vibe I get in this store is...help yourself..don't ask me for help. Today, I went in there looking for some cute clothes for my new little one. The pickings were very slim. I found 2 onesies. I also looked for a few things for myself, but everything was out of stock. The only time anyone asked me if I needed help was at the checkout counter. I was asked by a very nice cashier if I had found everything ok. Unfortunately for her, by the time I'm at the cashiers desk, I'm not interested in finding anything anymore. Oh well. This was my third trip here, and it's been the same every time. In all honestly, I was a little hesitant to enter in an old navy store after seeing those AWFUL talking mannequin commercials. I found the experience to be sort of funny, or rather laughable. Being a nordies girl, I feel I am rather spoiled when it comes to customer service. I expect to be greeted, asked how I'm doing, what I am looking for and at the very least, pointed in the right direction. I saw a commercial for $19 jeans and $5 dollar t-shirts, two things I desperately needed. I walked around the store for about 20-25 mins, not once was I greeted or approached. There was an Old Navy salesperson in almost every section, but they never asked how I was doing or what I was looking for. When I went to look through the jeans, There were two salespeople merchandising and restocking the denim using a ladder. That's great, I'm glad you decided to use a big-ass ladder in the middle of the day to restock your denim. Neither of these people asked me if I was looking for jeans, if I needed them to move, if I needed help getting a size, etc. I didn't even try on any jeans because they were in my way the whole time and didn't offer to move. I was in the store for about 45 mins, I imagine that no one that entire time was able to buy jeans. Retarded! Then they have random rounders with sweaters and denim. something so disorganized tends to look like maybe it is on sale. Nope. not on sale. The most expensive thing I bought came from this miscellaneous clustermuck, which I only bought because I thought it was cute and more importantly, on sale. My favorite part of the whole experience was when I checked out and the cashier, who lacked all warmth, sincerity and genuinity, explained to me that I had been randomly chosen for a survey to recieve 10% off my next purchase. She gave me her name and said she hoped she was "efficient". I wondered why she even told me about the survey. I thought efficient was an interesting choice of words, since she couldn't use the word 'pleasant' or 'enjoyable' experience as she provided neither. You can't really beat old navy's prices, so I will probably eventually be back. By eventually I mean in like 2 or 3 years. read more
