This store has a terrible customer service. The employees are rude and they also do not greet customers. The lines are extremely long and one customer had to ask for them to bring out more cashiers to help ring up customers. They also give you a hard time when you want to return an item saying you cannot return when it's clear that the policy allows return an item that is unworn with tags attached, and within 30 days. I came here to look for a pair of pants for my son and also checked out end of the year sale. It was the perfect timing to come this afternoon as all red tag items were an extra 25% off. I end up buying a pair of puma slippers, hat, and a cute Christmas card collection pack for myself. I did end up finding a pair of Hurley Khakis for my son. Mission accomplished. Nordstrom stores seemed out of reach when I was growing up. We didn't grow rich but we also didn't grow up poor. We were always taught to find things at a bargain. Now my ideals and shopping needs have evolved over time, but I do love a good bargain especially ones that I know are designer quality. I also hate paying things at full price so you'll likely see me at Nordstrom Rack just for just that reason. Now don't expect to find what you're looking for here. When bargain hunting, you don't always find what you want. Also sometimes there's a surprise and you find something you didn't need but you end up buying. Last time I was here, I ended up finding a dress for a wedding that was a little higher than what I would regularly pay for a dress, but it looked so darn good in person that I just had to buy it. So I did. I did also get a few hair clips and scrunchies from the clearance bins which was a steal. I also did find some shoes, but decided to hold off as I know I had some shoes at home that could work with the dress. Was it all organized in the store? Somewhat, but I ended up kind of organizing the accessories clearance area just because I was trying to dig through the mess and was a little annoyed at how disorganized things were. Was it relatively easy to check out? Yes, but of course there always seems to be a line. Overall it's nice to have this Nordstrom Rack (in Persimmon Place in Dublin) when I want to peruse some "designer" items, but only when I have time as this isn't a place to find everything you want but a place where you "may" find a deal. read more

Not my favorite Nordstrom Rack. For some reason it feels like the stuff here looks cheaper or isn't merchandised as nicely as other locations so it sort of feels like Marshall's to me where it can feel chaotic at times. I feel if they stepped up their merchandizing game it would make the clothes look and feel nicer. They have a big makeup department and their shoe department is decently sized. They also have a home goods section that is a touch larger than other locations. read more

Located next to Home Goods in Dublin. The store is messy at times but they do have some cute dresses and outfits at a reasonable price! During the sales, a lot of the S/M sizes are out so that sucks! Be patient and take your time fumbling through the racks, you may find a great deal! They also have shoes, jewelry and accessories, home items, etc. You can also order online and pick up at this location. Lines move quickly and I hardly see a long line of 10+ people like at the San Leandro location. Plenty of parking but it does get really busy during the weekends since there's a lot of other shops and restaurants around. read more

It's taken me a few days to processed what happened, but friends encouraged me to share my experience. The store was pretty busy, but no one was in the men's sportswear section. I was shopping for my dad and was about to move a cart out of the way (tight corners with so many racks) when a man approached me forcefully spewing a racist rant. I quickly walked away, back towards the center of the store to be near other shoppers. Since I had items that I wanted to purchased, I got in line. There were 6 or 8 people ahead of me, and by the time I got to the front, there were 14 behind me. - No social distancing - Masks weren't enforced - There were 4 cashiers at first, but ended up with 2; the one that helped me was manning 2 machines I was visibly shaken and told the cashier about the man that was still in the shop. I wanted them to know in case he harassed other shoppers. The cashier asked if I wanted to speak to a manager as another worker passed by, indicating I should speak to her. As I was recapping the situation, the man left the store, and she replied, "unfortunately we just have to deal with stuff like that" and walked way. I purchased my items and stood dumbfounded at the entrance. There was no store security and if I couldn't get the support of the "manager" then how was I going to safety walk back to my car? I waited until there was a family leaving to walk out with them. My family whom I had been texting had called the store and the cops. The store told them they kicked out the guy (which wasn't true). In the end, nothing was documented so here I write. There was no Nordstrom corporate email to send this to so a one-star review will have to do for now. Unfortunately Nordstrom Rack will just have to deal with stuff like that. read more

I thought the store was just okay. I browsed around the men's section. The merchandise appears to be mostly picked over rejects from the main Nordstrom's or perhaps different goods entirely. It did not really look to me like these are the same products that are sold in the main Nordstrom store. I happened to see a sign in the women's section that indicated they were products from actual Nordstrom's stores. I did not see such a sign in the men's section. This left me wondering if these were in fact goods brought in specially for Nordstrom's Rack. I learned later that if you look at the tags carefully, you can see if the product was made just for Nordstrom Rack, or if it indeed came from a Nordstrom store. I also checked the men's shoe section. One good idea: The shoes are all arranged by size, so this made it much easier to see if I liked anything. Again, these products do not strike me as shoes that really are sold in the main Nordstrom's store. They just do not seem to match the high-quality that I expect from Nordstroms. I think if you want a bargain, there are better alternatives. On the other hand, if you really want the main Nordstrom's quality, I recommend going to a actual Nordstroms. On the plus side, the stores are big bright and easy to navigate. There seems to be plenty of cashiers and staff. As with all stores in Persimmons Plaza, the parking can be absolutely terrible. read more

I am in store 2:30 pm on 9/8 and was trying things on and when I finished, i asked the older lady (working right now at the dressing room) working where I should put it and she said over there on hangers and I said sorry not all have hangers and she ROLLED HER EYES at me . I'm surprised by some of the negative reviews of the Dublin store. My experiences have been excellent. I've purchased items in store as well as many items online and had no problems returning. The store has an outlet type vibe (reminds me of a Marshall's) with lower prices than Nordstrom, so it's not going to look like a Nordstrom store. You have to spend time looking through the racks although they also have sections w brands of jeans etc. I always expect lines to be longer esp if I go there knowing it's prob a busier time of day, ie after work. I see same in many other stores as well. In my opinion, complaining about long lines or store policies re: returns is not necessary. read more

Horrible customer service from a company that supposedly has some of the best. I received some shoes as a gift, but didn't like the way they felt or fit. Never wore them outside and only tried them on the one time. The person who gifted them to me lost the receipt and can't find it. I took them to the store and asked if I could exchange them for a different shoe. Still in the box, with tags on them, and the tags match the shoes which match the box. Should be easy, right? No. They said it without a receipt I couldn't even exchange them for store credit even though everything matched and they have never been worn They said it is store/company policy. Maybe so, but then your policy is awful. People lose receipts. It happens. People give gifts without gift receipts, it happens.Very disappointing from a company that i had heard had great service, but they clearly don't. Called their customer service number and was given the same answer. Not shopping here or at any Nordstrom store again, and neither will anyone in my household, since that's the kind of service they offer. read more

The shoe selection is ok but I have issues with both the quality of the items sold here, as well as the service. I purchased a pair of black suede pumps and loved them so much that I decided to wear them to work the next day. Imagine my embarrassment when, several hours into my workday, the shoe begins to fall apart. As soon as I left the office I took them back to the store, receipt in hand. The sales associate (I didn't get her name, but she was a black woman with braids) gave me the feeling that she was suspicious of this transaction. I provided her with my receipt, explained to her what happened, but she just gave me the feeling that she didn't trust me. She examined the receipt like it was the Rosetta Stone or something, and she inspected those shoes at least three different times for wear. At this point, I could tell she was getting ready to hit me with the BS... and she did. After completing her final "inspection" , she tells me in a snide tone "Well, we don't *normally* accept items that have been worn... ". Well guess what, lady? I don't "normally" wear shoes that fall apart WHILE I'M AT WORK... and less than 24-hours after I purchased them. Yet here we are. I completely ignore her remark and keep checking emails on my phone, making it very clear that I'm not leaving this line until I get my money back. After a few seconds, she finally adds, "... but in this case I guess we can make an exception." Like she was doing me a favor or something. Smh. Two things I hate about so-called "customer service" in certain retail stores: when sales associates immediately treat returns with suspicion, as if you're trying to scam or defraud them, or when they act like returns are coming directly from their own paychecks. If an item is deficient, it's the fault of the manufacturer. Period. That's something that store management should take up with the manufacturer. But the customer should not even have to entertain the option of being stuck with a faulty or defective product because a store chooses not to address an inventory defect with the manufacturer. I'm not sure if it was actually store policy, or if the woman really just didn't want to do her job. Either way, word to the wise: if you buy something from here and the item is defective TAKE IT BACK and don't leave the line until the customer service agent (or manager, if you need to escalate the situation) gives you the refund you deserve. I was willing to overlook the issue with the shoes, but I cannot overlook the suspicious way in which I was treated by the sales associate. There are too many other retailers in the area that sell better quality shoes, and I'll be taking my business to them from now on. read more

I usually don't make reviews on retail stores, but I experienced discrimination by an employee whose name may go by "Elke or elka" I had asked to view a designer eye glasses in which she had responded to me that "I need to be careful because LP (loss prevention) was watching." When I was done trying them on I put them back in the case and she quickly asked me where are the sunglasses assuming I had taken them. I have an unusual story. I thought I left my Nordstrom gift card at the store after my purchase. I panicked and called hours later. The manager and cashier were extremely helpful. Bottom line: they verified that I had the card when I left the counter. There was a sizable balance so it would be terrible to lose it. As it is, I found it later in my car. So the story ended well!! I was looking around for some stuff all day and decided to walk in to Nordstrom Rack to see their collection. BUT... it was definitely like walking in to TJ Maxx and having that weird look in your face that says "What just happened here?"... it was so chaotic and things were thrown around so even if they had what I was looking for, I didn't see it or I should say it was Hidden! They do have a decent collection of bags but everything else was Okay. The store is really packed tight, they had showcases from the moment you walk in to the end of the line. read more

Poor customer service from one of the old lady cashier. She was rude atleast to me I guess. She Talked too much to co worker, instead of doing her work. She charged my card 2x the price of the same item I only got one of that item. Not paying attention until I noticed it. She turned around to her co worker and chit chat before she printed my freakin receipt for the mean time I was standing there waiting for them to finish their chitchats before I can get my receipt and leave. If I could give 0 stars I would. During a time of pandemic it is absolutely alarming to see no restrictions of number of people inside at once (completely opposite of HomeGoods next door), people were not social distancing to the point it felt uncomfortable and unsafe. As other reviews state, no urgency in checking people out to keep the line somewhat manageable. We stood in line for over an hour and with how it wrapped around again it was less than a few feet between folks. When we finally got to the check out counter, the person helping me did not know how to look up my credit card so I could pay for my purchase. After waiting for 5 minutes I asked if she could ask someone on how to do it. She did but still was unable to figure out how to look me up. By then I was quite frustrated and we ended up paying with another card. Will not be coming here again due to significant lack of precaution and poor customer service. read more

10/3/16 early evening after dinner next door I stroll in here. It isn't very busy and parking was open particularly near Paxtis and Starbucks. The buzz from this Nordstroms from when it first opened is apparently gone. The store itself was surprisingly orderly with exception to a few pairs of shoes out of place in the mens department. Still, the appearance was great. As good as humanly possible. There was a mens jacket marked down from $500 to about $200. It caught my eye but I probably would only pay $100 for something that looked the way it did made in some foreign country. The material was sort of trendy but cheap looking. Didn't try it on. I suppose if it fit well with minimal tailoring necessary it would be a good deal. Overall, the clothing was orderly but the selection didn't seem that great. I remember nicer jeans at Fremont Nordstrom Rack when I went a couple years ago. Maybe some cool made in the USA selvedge denim is in there somewhere? I would have to go back and set aside a few hours. So many bad Yelp reviews from this place about a rude cashier and a security guard profiling a lady due to the color of her skin. Another incompetent cashier who didn't know how to look up a Nordstrom card number for a return. Other Yelpers reported the people here lack the fit and finish of a real Nordstrom. I wouldn't hang out here. I think you might get a bad taste in your mouth for Nordstrom's. And there is no better business when it comes to customer service than Nordstroms. (That I actually learned in business school from a big fat text book back in the year 2007 - good advertising, huh?) San Leandro Nordstrom's seems a bit better. I think the people working there know their stuff after so many years. I bet many have worked there for years. Plus parking isn't an accident ready to happen. Insurance agents take note: if your customers frequent Persimmon Place cancel their policy. Too risky. Another note: The tailor at Nordstrom's San Leandro is my one and only trusted tailor on the planet - besides my mom. Shes great. No... shes the best. Go there. She will make any old jacket and jeans look outstanding on you with her talent.... And I really mean that. Its all about how something fits.
