Came here to buy kurta for my son. There was large selection to choose from and quality of material was good. Service was not so great. The person who showed us kurtas was not interested in showing us different pieces and did not let me browse through their collection. He seemed to just want us to choose from 2 or 3 pieces he showed. My experience was that the staff took a lot of time(about an hour) to help me out choose the right outfit however I was in double minds about buying it since I needed a second opinion. I told the lady who was helping me that I will come back tomorrow with my sister for a second opinion. The lady looked at me in such a bad way and made a face at me (like - i wasted time on you???) . It was so bad and I vouched never to come to this store again. I have told all my friends about this experience and they were shocked as well. I did buy one item which was not supposed to be expensive but she overcharged me for it because she was very pissed off when I did not take rest of the outfits. I've been shopping around Berkeley & South Bay for a wedding sherwani and after viewing & trying on a bunch of them I never found anything that I liked on myself. I happened to enter Varsha's store because we were next door buying a mangalsutra and wanted to look for something that my grandma could wear to the wedding. While we were there, although I wasn't looking at all and didn't mention anything - Varsha brought out a sherwani that she thought I should try on. I thought it looked nice so I tried it on and it actually fit me perfectly (which has been difficult to find because I have broad shoulders) and looked good on me! Then she brought out a dupatta that I also thought was really nice, but she felt that she had another dupatta that would work better for me and she brought that one out and I liked it even more! I ended up buying the sherwani & dupatta and was extremely relieved that I don't need to continue looking shopping for these things and impressed that Varsha found & suggested the perfect outfit just from looking at me. All I knew was that I needed a Sherwani for myself as the groom, and 8 matching groomsmen outfits. Immediately as I walked in, I was greeted by Varsha herself and she made me feel so comfortable. She is extremely knowledgeable and quite the fashionista herself. I explained to her my vision of colors and outfits, and she truly made me feel like sky was the limit. After going through a few options, I found the absolute perfect Sherwani for myself and I felt like a king wearing it. It was a very exciting feeling. Once that was purchased, we moved on to options for my groomsmen's. I had 8 guys ranging from 5'7 to 6'4, which I thought would be an issue. Varsha and her team showed me different fabrics and patterns that matched my color scheme, and instantly we found exactly what I was looking for. We were able to order all 8 matching Kurta's with the perfect colors to offset my outfit. I was in shock how effortless this process was and I wouldn't have changed a thing. The sales associates were very friendly and let me know that I could have it altered and fitted to my preference. They shortened the sleeve and Kurta as well for me. Now it's looking perfect.
