My 1st time coming to a restaurant in the Pike Place Market, even after living in W.A. for so many years. Being that it is by the water the day was perfect for eating with a window view. Gorgeous sun and blue skies. It seems that this place is pretty popular. It was pretty crowded non-stop. It's not really spacious, so the aisle ways and tables are a bit narrow or small. Nothing really to note. The food was delicious. It's not a cheap place, but they give good amounts of food for the price. So in the end it is worth it. Definitely recommend when you're at Pike's Market! Great location with a great view. They occupy three floors, but it's not as if the further up you go the better the view. Every floor has a view of the port/bay (whatever it's called lol!). Service is friendly and fast. Coffee is self serve, which is fine by us. Ordered the Crab Benedict and pancakes. Both were good. Only complaint is that you could tell the crab wasn't heated thoroughly so one star off of what would otherwise have been a five star review. read more

A barista at the OG Starbucks across the street recommended Lowell's for satisfying greasy diner food and it delivered!!! You can wait for table service or just go through the other side and do counter service and grab a table like we did. I got the crab cake bennie and it was exactly what I wanted!! Only complaint is that it was definitely cold... You can go upstairs and order drinks at the bar. They do a kimchi bloody mary and it's delish. Cool place to rest and eat with a great view of the sound. When we first passed through the market which was around noon, we saw there was a line to get in and order. Decided to walk around and do the tourist stuff. On our way back to the parking garage, saw there was no line and took our chances. So there's two parts to this place, there's a cafe style order then look around for a spot to sit type restaurant. Then when we got up to the second floor, we saw there was a seated type of restaurant which signs indicated was their bar. We journeyed up to the third floor to find the great view and a packed room. Luckily, an older couple was willing to share their table with us. We ordered the clam chowder in sourdough bread bowl, a 16oz seafood soup and a calamari. We spent about $40 for the 4 of us to share. Bread bowl was mediocre but the chowder was good, I really enjoyed the seafood soup and my kids loved the calamari. It was nice and soft. I liked how they had the self serve stations available since I was dreading walking down and up the stairs for utensils, napkins and refills because we already did the whole zig zag thing. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast at Lowell's. I ordered a bloody mary (with an oyster) and my boyfriend ordered an Irish coffee. The salmon scramble was better than I'd hoped for. The capers and cream cheese were a nice compliment. I also enjoyed a bite of my boyfriend's crab omelette. Also, the sourdough toast was the best I've ever had. It was so thick...perfect. The view was an added bonus. If you'd prefer to be served, that's an option on the second floor. Otherwise, order when you come in and seat yourself. This is the second time I have eaten here. I like fish and chips and clam chowder. I went to the second floor because that's where I sat the last time. There was a long wait so they told me I could order on the first floor and seat my self on the third floor and they would bring my food to me. This was actually much better because I could order without waiting for a wait person and the third floor had better seating choices with a better view of the water. The lady gave me a coffee cup so I could serve my self and get a refill without waiting for a wait person. The water was also self serve. The food came out much faster than it would have if I sat at on the second floor with the waiters. The fish and chips were excellent but the clam chowder was terrible. I let the young man know that was dropping off food for someone else and he ask me if I wanted another kind of soup. I didn't like the choices so I ask for a refund since you have to pay when you order downstairs. The young man came back within five minutes or so with my refund. I was so impressed that I used the experience when I gave a sales meeting the next morning about customer service. I tell everyone about my experience and recommend this restaurant. This place is out of my area but worth the parking challenge. All of the employees were nice and seemed happy to help everyone. This is a totally different experience from what I had at the Beach Cafe in Kirkland. Large portions, pretty presentation, but meh food We wondered by and stopped because of the line. If you want table service, head upstairs, there is a hostess that directs you. If you wait in line on the bottom floor, you order at the counter and they give you a number and then you find your seat. You can sit on the main floor or upstairs on the 3rd floor. We ordered 2 of their breakfast sets. We got the: All American Farmer's Breakfast - Three eggs, bacon, ham & sausage, crispy hashbrowns, toast All American Classic Breakfast - Two eggs, crispy hashbrowns, toast The food was pretty slow to come out. We waited about 30 mins. There isn't really a system to how they bring out the food either. Sometimes they call your number, sometimes they just plop it down. There wasn't any service either besides someone bringing your food. The breakfast was okay but nothing special. The hash browns were super crispy which was a plus. I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese and the eggs were so dry and even with the cheese it tasted like cardboard. We ordered some eggs soft scrambled and they came out exactly the same as regular. The toast was soggy and mushy. The meats were good though. We liked the sausage the best. Maybe their lunch is where it's at because their breakfast was underwhelming. One of our favorite traditions of going to Pike Place Market is eating at Lowell's. Though most people try for the water view, we love the view from the 2nd story booths overlooking the Market. Went there today and the food was great as always. They make an excellent Bloody Mary and today was no exception. My son got the chowder bread bowl and it is one of best chowders in the area. My wife got the Beecher's grilled cheese and it was cooked perfectly -- you definitely cannot go wrong with Beecher's cheese! I got the Reuben, which has the perfect ratio of meat, sauerkraut and cheese. Our server, Andrew, was friendly and attentive. The food came out fast and we never felt like we were rushed, despite the fact that when we left there was quite a line. A dependably great experience. read more

Tourist trap. Prices are a bit steep, but whatever, we were on vacation. Went, hobbled with my cane, up to the 3rd floor while my wife finished paying to sit down and wait. I set my camera bag on a table at the top of the stairs so i could do up my laces and was immediately accosted by the waiter (bus boy, cleaning crew, vulture, whatever his title is) with a no reserving tables unless you have a receipt. Okay, there are 5 of us, so i wont be sitting at this table for two anyways, I will stand here and wait with the one table of people for my family to make it upstairs. I can see if the tables are full and you are busy, but no need to be a (fill in your favorite adjective) when the place is empty. Anyways I had the seafood platter so that i could try various items. the crab cakes were almost inedible, the only thing you can taste is the hot sauce in the patty. the shrimp were shrimp. the salmon was really the only thing on the plate that tasted really good. No one really said much about their meals beside eh. I tried a bite of the crab melt my daughter had and if i hadn't known what it was I would have had no clue. After she decided she was done we dismantled the sandwich and if you tried the crab alone it tasted good, but no trace with all the other stuff on the sandwich. I try to avoid tourist traps, but my stomach was yelling at me so I had no choice. This is located inside Pike Place Market and there was no line when I walked by. The menu looked doable, so we paid at the cashier and went up 2 flights of stairs in search of a table. We had to order our alcoholic bevs separately at the bar and then bring it up to our table after. I guess walking up and down all those stairs helps one not feel guilty about eating so much here. Their Bloody Mary was GOOD, had a nice strong and spicy kick to it and even a fresh oyster! My breakfast tacos were super filling, which made the semi high price just a little justified. Breakfast Review Let me give you the low down on this spot since it's kind of confusing for anyone who's never been. First off, if you want drinks (just drinks..no food) head on in and head for the second floor. If you want to eat, stand in the long line you see coming out another door. You ORDER YOUR FOOD FIRST and then you can seat yourself. After you order they will com find you and serve you your meal. Since we had a stroller with us and no clue where the elevator was we decided that the first floor was our best bet. We all ordered Crab Omelets that came with bread and hash browns. The crab omelets were huge and filled with the freshest Dungeness crab I've ever tasted. So fresh the hubs still had part of a shell in his omelet. We definitely knew the crab did not come from a can! We all ordered Bloody Mary's which were nice and strong. I kinda wish they served them in a tall glass instead of the tiny cup mine came in. Confused why this place has so many stars. Other better options in pikes market area. Stars given because the port view is beautiful; however Lunch was AWFUL! ordered crabcakes as appetizer. Two small mushy 3inch crabcakes with dull mango salsa =$28. Appetizers arrived not before but at same time as the meal. Had charred salmon caesar salad. This seems like a great spot for lunch -- they have a variety of salads, sandwiches, and seafood dishes. The restaurant is inside Pike Place and was pretty busy at lunch time. Our food came out quickly though and we were easily able to find a table for our group of 7. Walking through Pike's Place, one tends to get pretty hungry. We were able to get in and seated on the 2nd floor with table service. Our table was next to the window with a great view of Elliott Bay. We watched a ship come in and be turned around to enter the port backward​. We also watched people coming and going in​ the street and watched the Ferris​ wheel go round and round. For my lunch, I ordered the Sauteed Chili-Tiger Prawns Tacos. I received two nicely filled with delicious ingredients (inc. cabbage and cheese) with lush fresh mango salsa on the side. The dish was served with a side of slightly spicy beans. Along with water, carrying a winter cold, my drink of choice was the "Old School" Hot Toddy with hints of cinnamon and cayenne pepper. It did a great job of clearing me out if only for a short time. It was quite warming. Lunch at Lowell's was a great respite from the busy market. The way you order food is kind of strange but it works for the layout. You walk in, order, and then pick where you can sit. I sat on the third floor by the window! Highly recommend sitting there, it's got a beautiful view of the pier. We ordered the fish and chips. It was 20$ before tax and honestly was not worth 20$. Online it rated as 2$$ and it should borderline be 3. You get 3 fishes about 3-4 inches long, with fries and slaw. Slaw was okay not really my thing and my fries were crunchy. Lowell's was a fun experience - getting to eat breakfast right inside Pike Place Market. We came fairly early - before 8:30 on Saturday morning. We ordered at the counter and ate up on the 3rd floor by the window. Amazing views. If you prefer table service, they have that available on the 2nd floor. We enjoyed the 3rd floor - people still bring your food out to you. They have water stations up there so you can refill your water anytime you run low. Food was pretty decent - nothing truly spectacular but nothing awful either. The spectacular part is the location and views of the waterfront while you're eating. We walked through the market on Sunday morning around 9:00 and the line to order at the counter was at least 20-30 people long so I'd say getting there early is a good call. read more

If you are taking in Seattle's Pike Place Market area and consider "deep-fried" to be a lifestyle, you have to stop here. Located inside the Public Market Center, the menu will win you over immediately. We had the fish and chips and the prawns for lunch - outstanding! So good we had to go back the next day to have it again. The only issue is that seating is limited. When facing it, there is an entrance to the right. It will have a line but it moves at a good pace. There is a menu board to look over while you wait. At the end of the line, you order your food and they'll bring it to you when it's done. The first level extremely small as the kitchen is located there. Seeing that was full, we went up the stairs to the third level where we found one table that had just freed up next to the windows. Another option is enter on the left side. There you can go straight to the second level for sit-down service, but again, tables are limited. Obviously if you have anyone in your party that has mobility issues, this may not be the place for your best choice. Whatever option you choose, if you get a chance to snag a table by the windows, you get a nice view of the Sound next to you and a slice of Deep-Fried Heaven in front of you. read more
