We have been coming here for years. Came in last Friday evening around 545. Waited 20 minutes for a table for 5 which isn't too bad. The server did not come to our table for at least 15 minutes to take our drink order. We had been there about 1 hour 15 minutes which included the time we waited for service. We had just finished and were sitting there talking and had just paid the bill. Then the manager Erica, comes to our table and says I'm going to start clearing the table because we a family that we need to seat here with a reservation!! She was very unfriendly and not even a smile. She basically was kicking us off the table. You never ever tell a customer to leave like that. We were there one hour!!! I didn't know there was a time limit. We spent $200 including drinks, food and a nice tip and that's how she treated us. Very disappointed in her actions. read more

I really wanted to be blown away with their food. My guest told me that their food was really good. I'll get to that in a moment. Walking in the restaurant there was a lot of servers ready to help that was nice. The restaurant was a little dark, but I can understand people were watching the game. Our server was super nice. He was friendly. He was on time. And there was no so shortage of servers ready to help if they had to. All Los Compadres employees of this restaurant that I noticed were really busy (the restaurant was full of guests) there was no chitchatting, there was no hanging out- they were working! The ambience was fun a lot of cheering for the Dodgers game and they had a happy hour. The margarita was lit- LIT! Talk about tequila overload- not complaining. Now to the food like I said, I wanted this to be an awesome experience food wise and it just wasn't. It's like every other Mexican food place I've had. Was it good? Yes, it was awesome. Was it great? Kind of, was it exceptional? Not really. Prices are kind of what you'd expect for today. Anything between 18 and 24 bucks. The parking situation was bad, horrible. For that size restaurant they really need a bigger parking lot. Would I go back? Definitely! Unfortunately I did not like the food. The chips were stale and had very little salt. The bartender recommended the Chili Colorado and I didn't like it at all. I was told it was spicy which I love. However, I didn't find it spicy. It had a strange taste and terrible aftertaste. I could not eat the meat. I ate the beans, rice and 1 tortilla. My gf and I came here for a late breakfast and had an incredible experience a couple weeks ago! I was craving chilaquiles, and I've been recommended to try this place quite a few times. We both ordered chilaquiles which came with eggs your way, she chose scrambled, I had over easy and it was so flavorful and delicious. The beans were very good too! I also loved the horchata, but it's so good... you guys need to put them in larger glasses to save your servers the foot work to the kitchen for refills. Haha. The guacamole was also very good. My dads favorite place; he's a regular. They have pretty good food, menu is outdated a tad; but doesn't matter when you are getting drunk on margaritas. The Italian margaritas are good; I'm impressed they know how to make these. Prices are fair/reasonable. They have gone up a bit. read more

Both things we ordered were awesome. Carne asada dinner was delicious. Carne asada was marinated grilled just right. Refried beans were decent. Flour tortillas were browned right and were fresh (local or house made) Salad with Carne Asada was giant with tons of vegetables stacked around the edge of the plate and even had a quesadilla on top. Chips were fresh and hot. Hose salsa was mild but they have a spicy salsa that is smoky, spicy, and delicious. If i could give this place a zero I would. Coming in with a bigger party you would expect the owners to be delighted but instead they sit with their miserable attitudes. As we asked if we could be seated knowing we wouldn't have menus the owner tried to explain if we reserved for thirty people all thirty had to be even though we didn't have thirty, instead just simply requesting for a couple extra seats. We went to sit down at a table that looked connected to the main table which we thought we were able to sit at. As we sat down the workers completely eyed us down demanding we move to other larger table. Some servers when taking orders constantly look they hate their job when taking our order and basically side eyeing us and was rude to older guests at our table. This place has been a classic and consistently good. It is the only place that my family will eat enchiladas michoacanas because most don't compare to my mom's homemade kind. The service is always prompt and attentive. The only thing I'm not a fan of is how dark it is inside. But that's just a personal preference. Highly recommend. We were greeted immediately with a smile from Brenda (fantastic server) who got our drink order right away, and the bartenders served our cocktails without delay. They were absolutely delicious! Did not want to give us a table until Erika from front desk seen everyone present , there was a table available told Erika and Nate after 2.5 hrs at 11:40am that our 2 other guest were parking outside she decided to put another group in . When they went in they said they were a party of ten . I counted them and they were only 7 going in they were still missing the 3 other guest !!!!! I told Erika and Nate. I've been meaning to come here for quite awhile. I needed a good old school Mexican restaurant and Los Compadres is perfect! I really wanted some good crunchy tacos and these were perfect - 1 beef/1 chicken, beans & rice were also yummy. My sister had the soft tacos with carnitas and she said they were yummy. We waited quite a while before we were seated, even though there were empty tables. I suppose they were short staffed. My dinner mate was talking to the fellow at the podium after we had been waiting for an extended time period. I could see he had menus in his hand. My friend came back and said he was trying to get us to eat at the bar but he may have just been trying to get us to order, because as we found out later, after we were seated, the delay in the kitchen was really bad. Soon after we got our food, which seemed like forever, they started putting the chairs up, as they got ready to close. No fun! When the food finally came, it was tasty, however both our plates were lukewarm at best. This seems strange since we waited so long. At this point we were barely hungry after eating probably 4 baskets of chips and salsa while we waited. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive.
