They have outdoor seating. Service: Great! Ricardo and Kevin were engaging and attentive. They had a great sense of humor and rolled along with our shenanigans. Great drink makers. Drink: taken for pomegranate. It had stateside vodka, prosecco, pomegranate, rosemary,lemon, and club. It was so refreshing and delicious! This is our favorite drink from here. Food: CRISPY SHRIMP (GF) with red pepper aioli, charred scallions, arugula, and basil. The dish was good. We wished the size of the shrimp was bigger. It reminded us of bang bang shrimp from Bonefish. CHICKPEA POLENTA FRIES with an herb pesto. They were ok. The herb pesto wasn't a good pair with these fries, and the fries weren't good enough by themselves to eat, so I used my friend's roasted garlic aioli dipping sauce from her regular fries. Decided to come back to Lola's Garden. I wasn't as happy with my experience this time compared to the last time I came. The oat milk coffee I was given was pretty mid. The temperature was thrown off by the very cold froth. This left a weird taste in my mouth. I started out with the Buttermilk Biscuit Board. It comes with house-made jam, honey butter, pimento cheese (the pimento cheese is fire by the way). They give you more condiments then the actual biscuits. The butter tasted great and had a savory, but sweet finish. When the 2 biscuits came out they were cold and hard. The waitress was nice enough to swap them out with warmer ones. Tell me how we went from 2 biscuits to 1.5 biscuits, did the other half of the biscuits disappear or something? So we asked the waiter for an additional biscuit and she was able to provide us with it. The Seven Hills Burger was very good and I definitely would come back to have It again. I used the left over pimento cheese from the burger to dip my fries in. All in all my experience was meh, hoping it's better next time I come. read more

We recently held an engagement party here and it was fantastic! The service was amazing, the staff helped us decorate beforehand and even provided some of their own decorations! The room was beautiful, clean, and prepped with a water table and coffee station beforehand. Drinks came fast, food was prompt and tasted delicious, and they gave us boxes to take everything home at the end of the night. Would definitely recommend this place for a party and would absolutely come back for a nice dinner. read more

I loved my dinner at Lola's Garden! This new restaurant in Suburban Square is great! They have a huge outdoor seating area with a patio they built that was really well done. Hats off to whoever created this area for Lola's. We started off by ordering drinks. I was intrigued by the cocktail flight because I've never seen this on a menu before. I ordered the Girls Night Out flight which arrived in a tree stand. So cute! I wondered if I was going to like all there drinks and I really did, they were all great. I would definitely order that again! For dinner, I ordered the hot fried chicken sandwich after hearing so many good things about it. It came out on a really good roll and had slaw and pickles on it. This sandwich was hot in all the right ways. It had a good heat to it without being overwhelming. It has a strong black pepper taste so if you like black pepper then you will really like this sandwich. The french fries that came with it were spot on. Hot and tasty. I would definitely get this sandwich again. For dessert, we shared the ricotta beignets. These were so good! Loved them! Nice and warm and cooked to just the right amount of brownness. Our server, Molly, was fantastic. I could tell she had a lot of experience. She seemed to be able to manage a lot and was attentive without being overbearing. Beautiful decor all around, inside, deck and front patio style seating. Very earthy with a modern 'warehouse' open exposed ductwork motif with large push out windows. There is a suggested time limit so your service must move accordingly. It pretty much moved along. A further the introduction I was offered water I accepted. If 'Madie' hasn't been to the table she will arrive shortly'. She had but appeared again Within 2 mintues, I placed my full order along with my to go desert. At 7:49 My food was ordered 8:00 it arrived cold. Nothing worse than cold French Fries! After I informed the server I received another order of fries within minutes they were slightly greater than warm. This would be okay if the ketchup wasn't served cold. In all the Lola's Burger was pretty decent, juicy and flavorful because of the added condiments. The fries are shoestring generally how I like them. Based on my view of the bar the person there was working it like 'A BOSS! The cocktail flight Margaritaville and the drinks alone may be worth the visit. This is the flight to get. Got to Lola's around when they were opening for lunch. Because of the time which was still pretty early for lunch, we were one of the few there though as we were leaving you saw it picking up. The place is nice, with outdoor and indoor seating available. It was chilly so we opted for inside and it is a nice, clean comfortable space with a mini indoor garden feel to it. The food was great. I'm not a big brussel sprouts person, but the General Tso Fried Brussel Sprouts are possibly the best I've ever had. I would change the name cause it's not spicy and more creamy, so don't expect a General Tso taste but wow is it good. I would go just for them lol. The Smoked Salmon was tasty. The Fried Chicken Sandwich was really good. It was crispy with nice moist chicken and they do not scrimp on the sauce. A little messy but in a good way. read more

Reserved a table for 8. Called to confirm the next day and they said they didn't have the reservation. (We have a google confirmation). Arrive. The hostess asks us to wait while they prepare our table. They pushed two tables of uneven height together. A bit odd. We ask "how many rolls with the cinnamon roll small plate?" Server says 4. How many with the biscuits. Server says 4. Server comes back and corrects the cinnamon roll order by telling us it's only 2. Orders come. 3 Biscuits. Not a big deal but the issues are adding up. While we wait for our meals two servers at two different times brought meals to our table that weren't for us. Our food comes. Smash burger is really two patties on a bun. Half the plate filled with fries. Eggs Benedict was two small eggs and a huge portion of breakfast potatoes. No care with the presentation on these two plates. One of our kids got French toast that was not cooked through. We sent it back and he shared his brother's chicken. Ice cream dessert came in two shifts no spoons. Had to ask for spoons. Kids got a big laugh by looking under the tables and seeing gum stuck to the bottom. I mean gums. All in poorly trained staff, poor service, poor food quality. Will not return. read more

I went out to Lola's Garden for a birthday dinner for a good friend of mine. I had never been to Lola's Garden before, despite it having opened around a year ago, so I was excited to check it out. Lola's Garden was quite crowded when I arrived. There is an indoor and outdoor section; our party sat outdoors. The outdoor spot is covered, but the sides are open to allow for fresh air. The dining environment is quite nice as you are in the center of action in Suburban Square. Unfortunately, the nice ambiance of the restaurant is really where the positives of my experience end. It seemed that my waiter was quite aloof throughout our meal. I ordered a caesar salad, but he forgot to place it with the kitchen, despite me seeing him write the order down on his notepad. Not only was the wait for appetizers long, but I ended up getting my caesar salad 15 minutes after everybody had received their appetizers. Not optimal for a dining experience. Most of the salad was not fresh, leafy greens, but instead hard pieces of lettuce that I would describe as "bad." I got a hamburger for dinner, which came out with the rest of the meal. Usually the bare minimum, but I suppose that's not the case at Lola's Garden. With that said, the hamburger was solid. The beef was medium as requested, but I thought it could have juicer and more seasoned. The tomatoes on the burger were fresh and tasty and the fries were scrumptious. We did not stay for dessert in part because much of the table was concerned about how long the wait would take. Overall, the ambiance at Lola's Garden is nice, but the food could be improved and the service needs lots of help. I'll probably return some time over the next couple of years, as others in the party enjoyed it more than me, so hopefully they improve in these areas. read more

Their happy hour is 3-6pm and only available at the bar. I highly recommend the Taken For Pomegranate cocktail. It's light and refreshing: vodka, prosecco, pomegranate, rosemary, lemon, club soda. Not too often do I round down, but maybe this place is a 3.4 out of 5. Maybe... Service was painfully slow. So slow, that we decided not to get an appetizer. Food did come out quick though--even the dessert. Cocktails did not. Taking orders did not. If you make people sit and wait, it's more enjoyable with a cocktail. We wanted to come here last year for our anniversary. I don't remember the timeline, but right before our anniversary, Lola's reached out about our reservation and said they would be closed that day. What? Really? We finally attempted to come back a year later. We were seated prior to our reservation. Happy about that. We didn't have our cocktails or our order in for at least 25 minutes though. We did have "easy" entrees though. Duck Confit leg and Short rib. Both had to have been made earlier, so it's really just reheating. Not sure if they just have the most efficient kitchen, but it was out in record time. Maybe if the staff doesn't put tickets in, the kitchen can't ever be backed up? The food was alright. Nothing special to me. A bit dry on both dishes, but it's hard to get that type of food right for a long dinner service. The first cocktail flight I wanted was out of stock on the Summer 2022 menu, when it wasn't even officially summer yet. My hospitality test has always been the water glass. If the staff is refilling your water, most likely you will have an above-average experience. Here, never refilled even once. The more times they refill, the experience is just that much better. When they fill it up just that first time, it usually means it's a one-and-done place for me. Nothing to bring me back. Nothing to make that place seem special. Black Bean Quinoa burgers were the best I've ever had. Garlic bread was soft and flavorful. Fries were served hot. Everything we ordered was very fresh and portions were generous enough to take some home. Drinks were on point. I recommend the Cuba Libre. Outside seating really set the tone and allowed me to unwind with my family in a clean safe space. Our server Robert was knowledgeable, polite, attentive, and made the difference in our experience. Went to Lola's Garden for a family birthday celebration. The ambience was a 10/10 for me! The outdoor dinning area was beautiful and had a fun vibe. The food was presented nicely, but it was just okay. The fish and scallops didn't have much flavor. My favorite thing on the menu was the fried chicken sandwich. Even though it was fried, it was surprisingly light. If you like hot food, that's the dish for you. Like others mentioned, the service was very slow, and it took awhile for a server to even greet us. Lola's Garden in Suburban Square, Ardmore, PA, is a gorgeous restaurant with lots of outdoor seating. A lot of it is reserved but if you can snag a bistro table as a walk-in as I did today, that works. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and my son had the kids' chicken fingers. Gotta say, their plating is lackluster. A little garnish would go a long way, but there was no sprig of anything green or colorful on the plate. It looked like what I'd get at a diner. Presentation could be forgiven if the food were delicious, but it's not. It's fine. It's average. The Benedict was bordering on bland. It wasn't creative nor interesting in any way. And the fries were almost cold. My son's chicken fingers had more flavor than my Benedict. This was our second time here so I was hoping the food would be better this time. But it wasn't. It's a shame the food doesn't match the ambience, because it's a beautiful setting and a fun vibe. They say 3 times is a charm and this third time proved that Lola's Garden is totally worth it! The first 2 issues weren't biggies but just don't let the hostess schedule you for a Monday dining experience because apparently the restaurant is closed on Mondays. Lola's is part of the same restaurant group as Morgan's Pier and Harper's Garden and you can tell - the garden aesthetic is beautiful! Plenty of seating both indoor & outside (apparently this is currently the largest outdoor space in the area). It's Ardmore Restaurant Week, and I normally don't take advantage of the special because it never seems to be worthwhile. Nevertheless, Lola's definitely delivered (only $30 for 3 courses) and didn't skimp with reduced portions - woohoo! Each course got better and better: 1. Burrata Cheese & Baby Beets app was good 2. Pan Roasted Cod was flaky, buttery & big...and the sauce & garnishment were delightful! 3. Seasonal Fruit Tart surprisingly won me over considering I'm a chocoholic and there aren't any chocolate desserts currently offered (hoping they expand the menu soon to include chocolate dessert...I need it in my life! Lol). Other people in my party ordered Roasted Free Bird Chicken Breast which was tender & crisp at the top with stew sauce, olives & zucchini AND the Grilled Duck Breast was juicy and "never had duck this tender" lol. Our server Katie was great! Very attentive to our needs and questions while providing thorough explanations. For instance, she advised that only PA liquors are currently served while they work on securing a more expansive liquor license. Also the AMAZING part about the drinks is that every cocktail is on draft - so you can taste before you commit! Great food. Great vibes (both The Internet & Solange played overhead). Alright so there's going to be a lot of caveats to my review. I will say I think you should come here. You should come for lunch or happy hour. The drinks are really good, and fun. I had a watermelon vodka cocktail, and a glass of frose. Both were really solid. I love a good happy hour so I'd love to see what is discounted. The atmosphere is really fun. It's fresh and open. It feels like a very nice shed. Like for a garden... I swear its a compliment. The food was pretty good. We had the tuna crudo, flatbread (which was maybe my favorite thing I ate), and I had the Nashville hot chicken. I loved all the olives and capers that came with the crudo. I would say it's definitely not a Nashville hot chicken sandwich, but it did have quite a bit of freshly cracked black pepper on it. Service was a bit mehhh. But it was also a really busy night so I'm trying to keep an open mind on it. I'd definitely come back for a cocktail at their cute outside bar. read more

So I'm between a 4 and a 4.5 overall. First, it's ADORABLE in there! The decor is great inside and the outdoor garden is super cute. Came here with a group of my girlfriends- really cute for a girls night out or brunch! Our server was nice and service was good! Drink menu was pretty extensive. Placed a reservation online for brunch on Saturday in case it was super busy. It was indeed quite busy, but there was plenty of seating indoors at their regular tables, the bar, and outside at their little patio area. We all ordered burgers and fries/salad. Fries are usually nothing special, UNLESS we're talking about five guys, McDonalds, or Freddie's, but I have to say, I was really impressed with their fries. It was perfectly salted and had just the right amount of crunch. My impossible burger was also delicious--it tasted just like a real burger. I might have lucked out on my choice of burger because my friends got the seven hills burger at medium well done, and her burger came back just a tad bit too raw. Overall though, a really great brunch spot with bottomless mimosas and plenty of shopping nearby. read more

I'm so glad Lola's is open! We tried it out last night for dinner with friends and everyone loved what they had. Our server was wonderful. We started with the cheese board with local cheeses from PA, it had Gouda, Brie and Blue Cheese. Everything was great on the board. I had the lamb leg which was really delicious with a rich sauce, (the server also approved of my choice). My partner had steak and fries and loved it. My friend ate the chicken entree and thought it was delicious too and the right portion. Not too big. For drinks we tried the Water Lily which was perfect. Not too sweet and the gin was delicious. I tried some wine. The Chardonnay and Sauvignon blanc are on draft from local wineries. The pinnacle dry rose wasn't great, it was sweeter than I thought it would be. I couldn't drink it. But I enjoyed the whites. We were too full for dessert, but I'm going to return for the ricotta beignets! read more

It was called the blueberry gimlet. Highly recommend. The food was just OK. The chickpea french fries were our appetizer, and we found them a little dry and dense. Although the fries were large, we wouldn't order again. The entrées were hit or miss. The steak was our favorite item and cooked to perfection. The complementary sides fit the dish nicely. The chicken skewer was extremely small. I was surprised to find this on the entrée menu after receiving it as it was more the size of an appetizer. The dish as a whole was flavorful and fresh but by no means filling. Overall, the ambience was very welcoming with an indoor and outdoor seating arrangement. On March 1, five of us went to Lola's to celebrate two birthdays. It was a fabulous, wonderful evening. The food was excellent! Some of us enjoyed the restaurant week menu and others chose food from the main menu. Everything was perfect. The drinks were fabulous. The workers are extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. Immediately upon walking in the host was unresponsive despite the restaurant being nearly empty. We went to celebrate our college senior graduation and the workers refused to sell us alcohol, even though we are all 22 years old. The manager was aggressive, sassy, and refused to speak to us. I have worked in the restaurant industry for 4 years and have never encountered a manager so rude to customers. Overall, I was excited to try out this fairly new restaurant; however the experience was terrible and will never be back. read more

We had a reservation at a nearby restaurant and when we showed up, they told us they didn't have our reservation so we were scrambling. We were so impressed with their ability to seat us and we really enjoyed the food, drink and ambience. The heirloom tomatoes appetizer was a big hit with our group- so delicious and beautifully presented. With the nice weather we decided to take a walk like many others to Suburban Square. We first noticed the new Lola's Garden and admittedly the restaurant looks amazing. It's why we stopped. The system and information download from the hostess was really confusing. We visited around 3:00PM and were told they were seating people with reservations only. The hostess then mentioned that the kitchen was either closed or closing soon but we COULD get a drink and carry it to sit outside to the many really nice outdoor tables the restaurant has. The whole thing was as stated rather confusing than just walking up grabbing a table and ordering. It may be, explained why there were so few people at the restaurant both inside and out on such a beautiful and busy day. If you are offering take-out drinks then the assumption would be the bartender serving these would be pretty ready for that option and welcoming as you walk in and approach. As I approached the bar the bartender on duty just sort of stared at me for a few seconds before looking away as she seemed far more interested in chatting with some friends/customers on the two bar seats by the window. I then verbally asked for a drinks menu this time explaining we wanted to take one outside. This time she did hand me the menu but did not bother to take the 2 seconds to include the beer menu (with the cocktail only menu I was given) and with her demeanor not really being too friendly, we decided to just go somewhere else. Had high hopes for this place but the initial review was not great. Perhaps will try again. read more

The managers are soo incredible nice, the food and drinks are delicious and they're so helpful in the set up and coordination that it's a pleasure to do anything our event May require. Once our server, Gabby, took our order, she disappeared and it was difficult to get her attention again to even get mayonnaise brought to the table.
