    Dry Aged Steak Salad Dinner
    Rick M.

Anniversary Vibes on Point Pulled up to DePaul's Table this past Sunday around 7:30 PM for an anniversary dinner while in town--and from start to finish, it hit all the right notes. First off, the location was super easy to find and they've got on-site valet, which made things smooth from the jump. We were seated right away--no wait, no hassle. The vibe inside? Classy but not stuffy. Perfect lighting, stylish decor, and just the right energy for a date night. Felt like the kind of spot you go to when you want to enjoy yourself and still keep it grown and elevated. Our server was on point--super knowledgeable, friendly, and always around when we needed something without hovering. The food? Fire. Everything was prepared exactly how we wanted. The tortelloni in particular was next level--rich, clearly made with fresh ingredients, and hands down the best I've ever had. Given the quality of the food, the service, and the overall experience, the price was absolutely worth it. You're getting a full experience here, not just a meal. I could definitely see myself coming back next time I'm in town. Highly recommend if you're looking for something upscale, romantic, and still real.

My significant other and I celebrated our anniversary at Depaul's Table, and it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The ambiance was beautiful--elegant and intimate, perfect for a special night out. The service was incredibly attentive without being overbearing, which made us feel truly taken care of throughout the evening. We started with the creamed spinach served with pita--hands down one of the best I've ever had. It had a perfect balance of cheese and creaminess without being too heavy, and the pita was a great touch for dipping into the spinach itself. For the main course, I had the dry-aged steak salad. The greens were fresh and crisp, the steak was cooked medium rare exactly as I asked (perfectly tender and seasoned), and the vinaigrette added just the right amount of zest to tie everything together. To end the night, we indulged in the brownie sundae--rich, deep chocolate flavor with chocolate chips, paired with creamy vanilla bean ice cream and fluffy whipped cream. It was the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable meal. Can't wait to visit again--this place is a true gem! Definitely recommend!

DePauls table is awesome! Went for the first time yesterday I was not disappointed in the slightest. I got the autumn mule and it was so delicious! The atmosphere inside is upscale, yet approachable. I was within walking distance of the restaurant but it's a nice little add on that they have complimentary valet. The Kona Crusted Filet Tips appetizer are to die for. For my main course I got the lamb chops and they were cooked to perfection. Exactly what I asked for. Highly recommend the lamb if you are unsure what else to get. If you're willing to swallow the price, everything else will go down easy.

Everything here was great from the time we walked in. We arrived early had a drink at the bar, bartender was phenomenal great conversation and very good drinks. Our reservation was on time and we were seated promptly. We had the bacon to start and it was great!!, we each had a starter salad they were also extremely well appointed. We had the filet probably the best i have ever had, and the bone in veal parmigiana that i could only compare to Chef Volas in AC wonderful meal Wonderful service 100% will be back

DePaul's Table has a nice atmosphere, but if you're looking for a romantic dinner date, I wouldn't recommend it. The tables are pretty close together, so it doesn't feel very intimate--more of a lively, social setting than a cozy one. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller, and I have to say, I wouldn't order them again. They were completely overloaded with hollandaise, which overpowered everything else. It was just too much. For my entrée, I had the dry-aged steak salad, which I did enjoy--the steak was cooked well, and the flavors were good. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but I'm not sure I'd rush back, especially for a date night.

The Delmonico steak of my dreams
    Danielle A.

Luke and Glen were the tag team of a lifetime. They not only served a very happy "birthday night out" for us, they also assisted a table of 10 rowdy executive types across from the way. They ordered what seemed like the ENTIRE restaurant. With that said, the tag team did not skip a beat. every table the served above and beyond, including ours. Dinner was lovely, (although I should seriously stop ordering calamari anywhere. It's always so oily). Not their fault, I just set my expectations too high. The drinks were spot on! Thanks again to Luke for making the "peach drink" that knocked my sister out of her chair. It was a great price point for such a nice evening. Ample parking. Very spacious. Very clean. It felt family & romantic friendly. Gals, friends, boys, whatever, whoever night out perfect. I'll be back, and next time I'll get the Delmonico that I am now dreaming about.

    Bone marrow
    Alexis O.

Glenn with 2 "N"'s was amazing. He had really good recommendations on food and was attentive. The Prosecco was crisp, bone marrow wasn't bad but it wasn't the best I've had by far. I ordered my steak Oscar style and it was to die for. Edit: I was invited to return by the owner and his wife and the experience did not miss. Kevin and Jordan were a great duo although she was in training she seemed to catch on quick and jump right in to providing excellent service. For appetizers we had oysters Rockefeller and bone marrow... I know I said the bone marrow wasn't the greatest but in my opinion I just don't like what it's accompanied with. We decided to use the bread for the table to spread the bone marrow and it was the best choice we made because we genuinely got to enjoy all of the flavors in the bone marrow. Oysters Rockefeller are of the best I've had in any restaurant and I don't know why I didn't get them the last time when I love them so much. I had the surf and turf and she had the Delmonico. Steak was amazing we enjoyed our time, the food, experience and the staff. I'll be back soon!

This restaurant is upscale and intimate. The light is dim, very romantic setting. Perfect for a date or special occasion celebration. Our waiter was super enthusiastic and friendly. He recommended dry-aged Delmonico steak and brussel sprouts as appetizers. He was absolutely right. I ordered both of them and they are outstanding. Brussel sprouts were charred but not bitter. It was served with hot peppers so it has some kick to it. I asked for a medium rare steak and it was the way I liked. It's huge with big and crunchy onion rings on top. Highly recommended. Dessert: he recommended crème brûlée and brownie sundae. I wanted to be a bit " healthy " so I picked carrot cake The carrot cake had thin icing so it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. It's ok. Not memorable. I tried my husband's brownie sundae and it's delicious. The brownie was served with ice cream and whipped cream.

    Happy hour menu
    Sable S.

This is truly an amazing happy hour! The martinis, wine, and beer are all on happy hour. I tried a delicious cosmo and the house red (Cabernet). Next time I'm going to try the apple martini. The food options are even better than the drink options. The cheesesteak spring rolls are so good that we had 2 orders. The white truffle fries and steak tacos were also good. Happy hour is only at the bar. The service was great and the bar has a nice crowd. There's complimentary valet parking (but that may only be some days). We will definitely be returning.

We had a nice private table overlooking downstairs

This was our first visit to DePaul's Table. We were celebrating our anniversary and the service and pace was just what we were looking for. We had a nice two top table at the top of the stairs that was more private. We started with the Philadelphia cheesesteak eggrolls which were delicious and made in house. My husband ordered one of the specials Short Rib over mashed potatoes. I got the filet with Kona rub and we shared broccoli and a baked potato. We both loved our entrees and sides. Our server Josh was very attentive and struck the right balance of checking in but also leaving us to ourselves. He was great! We shared the crème brûlée for desert. The owner also stopped by to check in with us which is a nice touch. It was a wonderful experience and we have found our new special occasion restaurant.

Once inside, the feeling was a lot better. Not much in the way of art work on the walls, but still had a nice warm feeling. There were 3 of us and we did a lot of sharing. The Scallops in Shredded Filo was good but the Crab & Artichoke, with garlic aioli, parsley and capers was definitely "the winner". The Seafood Ceviche with scallops, halibut and shrimp was also delicious. While 2 of us were still enjoying our appetizers, our entrees were brought to the table and our plates moved to make room for them. I made the comment to no one in particular that I would try to eat faster as the seafood ceviche was pushed off to the side of the table. We had a 7 pm reservation and for the most part the restaurant was full by that time but we were not intentionally eating slowly. I could see if we might be taking up too much time eating and they had to move the tables but that was not the case as the restaurant was only half full by the time we left. For an establishment that is charging the prices that it is, Avg $18 for appetizers, high $30s for entrees, no one wants to feel rushed. The Halibut Almondine with Beurre Blank was good but not as good as we had hoped, with it being on the dry-side. The Dorado with Baby Vegetables was delicious as well as beautifully presented with "potato fish scales". A shared warm Pecan Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream completed our meal. Their menu is extensive making it an easy decision to return but I will mention that we would like a more leisurely experience this time around.

The Choice is one of those restaurants that appears to be hiding in plain sight. When we first…read moreconsidered dining here, noting that it had received very positive reviews from a variety of sources, we were surprised to find that no one of our acquaintance had even heard of the place, let alone darkened the door. And yet... when our party of three arrived for a recent Wednesday evening reservation, we found the 50-seat dining room full and joyously overflowing. ... And, given the fact that the menu is awash with a host of French and Asian fusion innuendos, you would probably never suspect that the restaurant is owned by two Ukrainian families. But, since the well-traveled co-proprietor Volodymyr "Vlad" Hyvel served as sous-chef in London's Nobu and also put in time at Le Cirque, Alain Ducasse and Jean-Georges, his diverse culinary inclinations make impeccably perfect sense. Matters piscatorial - both preludes and main courses - play a major role in Mr. Hyvel's repertoire. His starters, for instance, range from cold items such as Yellowtail Sashimi, Tuna Tartare, and Lobster Ceviche to a comforting tomato-y Fish Soup awash with shrimp & scallops. Among his starters, however, the chef's magnum opus proved to be his extraordinary Scallops in Shredded Filo (pictured). The rich & meaty deep-fried bivalves arrived at table accompanied by a zippy wasabi cream sauce... and were simply irresistible. Entrées are pretty evenly divided between "Meat" and "Fish and Seafood." In addition to Filet Mignon, Short Ribs, and Grilled New Zealand Lamb Chops with a spicy Peruvian sauce, the former category also included Chicken Teriyaki and Duck Canton splashed with a seductive caramel-coffee-orange sauce. Once again, however, for our party at least, seafood took center stage. My dining partners decided upon the Halibut and Branzino, respectively. The former was companioned by mushrooms and finished with a green pepper dressing; the latter was presented with creamy mushrooms, crisp potato balls, and a side of fennel dressing. My Wild Caught Striped Bass (pictured) was a particular treat, as the filet was wrapped in a crispy potato crust, served on a bed of creamy leeks, and splashed with a delicate red wine sauce. If The Choice has a weakness, it is their desserts. As noted above, appetizers & entrées are both delightfully innovative and cosmopolitan in scope. When it comes to sweet endings, however, options are exceedingly limited and creativity is conspicuous by its absence - Chocolate Meltdown with Vanilla Ice Cream... Pecan Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream... Warm Apple Tart with Vanilla Ice Cream... Ice Cream. You get the picture. Given the quality of all that has gone before, you expect more... and it simply isn't forthcoming. Just be prepared... Dinner at The Choice is not a cheap date. Those aforementioned highly-touted Scallops in Shredded Filo, for instance, will set you back $18.00. Lobster Ceviche goes for $28.00; with appetizers topping out at $32.00 for the Pan-Seared Foie Gras. Entrée-wise, that Butter-Poached Lobster will put a sizeable $60.00 dent in your wallet, while all finny fare goes for either $35.00 or $40.00. Meats are $35.00 per, with Chicken Teriyaki occupying the menu's bottom rung at $28.00. Even those rather nondescript downhome desserts will set you back $12.00 per. Given the current state of economic affairs, I am not suggesting that these prices are outrageous by any means. However, given the restaurant's location - the western 'burbs - and the laidback atmosphere and service, they are a bit on the heady side. Not exactly a likely candidate for a last-minute inexpensive casual evening out... Fortunately, the fact that you may BYOB helps to soften the blow somewhat.

The service was very good: attentive and friendly. The ambiance is similar to Not Your Average Joe's in Ardmore with the upstairs/balcony seating and downstairs and big screen TV showing sports, but much noisier, especially as the upstairs also was filled with guests. By the time we left at 7:45pm after a 6:45pm reservation, it was loud enough that we had to fairly shout at each other to continue our conversation. The food was okay, except the salad which was excellent, but not worth returning for just the salad. - beet salad - 4.5/5, plentiful small diced red and yellow beets, avocado, arugula, a light dressing and burrato with crushed pistachios. a very solid starter salad and the server kindly split a large order into two small plates for us to share - fried calamari - 3/5, having just eaten at Estia last night which has a very good fried calamari, this one was not breaded as consistently and some of the pieces were a tad on the large side for a reasonable bite and too chewy to be cut with the fork or knife. - penne puttanesca - 3/5, my husband ordered this and while he not a self-proclaimed foodie, for him to say it was just okay means it was really just okay - linguine vongole - 3/5, points for the very plentiful offering of clams, i counted probably 20 generously sized clams (sometimes you get miniscule clams with this dish), but overall the sauce was too salty and there's not much you can do to fix that, and the linguine was a bit overcooked, definitely not even close to al dente We skipped dessert as by that point our ears were starting to ring with the high decibels coming from around us on the balcony and the floor below. It looked like a lot of people were having a good time so maybe it's just not for us.
