Caprese Toast
Shaun T.

This recently changed ownership but for now seems consistent to other experiences. Nice, friendly space in a strip of storefronts. Prime time on a Saturday and parking was available despite a busy parking lot. The calamari appetizer is lightly breaded and crispy without being oily or greasy. Mostly uniform circles with some larger pieces. Very good. The caprese toast, tomato, mozzarella with herbed oil is a good shareable dish. The rigatoni in vodka sauce shined as top notch. Here, pasta is a strong suit and it shows. Sauce is flavorful, served piping hot mixed with the homemade pasta. While I enjoyed the chicken saltimbocca, it was different than what I think of as traditional. No sage sauce or capers but moist chicken with ample prosciutto. Service is attentive and plates come at a nice pace, especially this night when the house was full.

Chicken Parm Meal

Under New Ownership. I have driven by many times and it never looked busy so we decided to give it a try. We picked the wrong night. It was super busy. Waited 15 mins for a table. When finally seated we sat for 15 minutes. Order was taken and it took a long time. Food came out finally and they forgot our appetizer. I had the chicken parmesan it was good but not like normal Italian BYOB's in the area. the portions were smaller. Usually I ahve leftover for Lunch the next day. GF had Lobster Ravioli, she and I did not taste any Lobster. Told the owner he brought her Cheese Ravioli this time. Tasted the same just a different sauce. Dessert was ok I had a Brownie Sindae. Mostly Ice Cream as the Brownie was small as well. I will give them another shot because there are other things on the menu I would like to try. So we will see, hopefully new ownership has worked out the kinks by then. 15 tables take up the room. It is BYOB but pricy.

I ate there yesterday and was so pleasantly surprised. The food was outstanding. The service impeccable and I love the building and decor. I will definitely come again.

Meatballs

This unassuming store front in Broomall is serving up filling Italian American comfort dishes. Had the privilege of going here during their Restaurant week which offered a three course lunch meal for $25. It was well worth the value featuring an appetizer, entree and dessert. The meatballs and the ricotta and honey were the two appetizer that came out relatively quick. Both came with ample sized piece of bread. Like any fine Italian American cuisine carbs were a plenty. The bread seemed to have been baked in house and was a running theme during the meal. It had a lightly seeded crust, but was crisp and dense. It may have contain a lil oil or butter which only added to the overall flavor. The mussels and chicken parm were our entrees which paired well when sharing. More bread was provided for dipping the rose colored mussel sauce. The dessert was tasty and plentiful like any good Italian establishment. The olive oil cake was dense, seemingly with a hint of lemon, but also contained some crumbly parts. It was topped with a blue berry sauce. The portion size of the tiramisu unlike any other place I've ever been too. This was a soup bowl sized portion, topped with cocoa powder. Excellent. I almost had to roll myself out of the place as the food was so plentiful. Great portion size for a 3 course meal. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Cappuccino was on point as well.

Pappardelle Alfredo

The service was good... food was meh, mostly because the chicken was dry in all the chicken dishes. I am not sure what else I can say.

Enjoyed an excellent meal at Roz & Rocco's last night. Angel Hair Pomodoro and Penne Vodka. We also enjoyed their signature garlic pull-apart bread. All ingredients are hand made (yes, the pasta). Small, cozy little spot with a huge focus on quality and service.

We ate at Roz & Rocco's for the first time a few weeks ago, and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was good, and the service was quick. We especially loved their rigatoni and mushroom soup. I'm happy we finally made the time to try Roz & Rocco's! It's nice to have a new, local place that is reasonably priced and has solid food!

I have learned my lesson and usually don't like to review a place after only going once but Roz & Rocco's was so charming I am going to break my own rule. We felt very welcome from the minute I called to make a reservation until we were walking out the door. The restaurant's decor is welcoming and almost like walking into someone's home. They make the most of their space without overcrowding the restaurant. We were seated immediately with our server telling us the specials and her favorite menu items al while opening our wine. This was so welcome - especially since she was spot on with her recommendations. We started with the ricotta and honey toast which was delicious. The picture was taken after we had eaten 2 pieces of bread. My husband had the lasagna made with homemade pasta while I had the salmon with the beet and arugula side salad. The lasagna was different with the edges of the pasta being crunchy. In this case different was very good!! The salmon was simple and cooked to perfection. The beet and arugula salad was the perfect complement. Dessert was tiramisu. Honestly at this point I was so full I only had a bite so we took it home. I tasted it the next day and it was soooo good. Overall, we had a really pleasant night out. Great service and great food. What else is there?? So Roz and Rocco's - please don't change a thing. Ever. Thank you.

So yummy

What a great find! Family owned and run, the dedication and passion to become a great little restaurant is obvious in every bite. On a trip to the east coast a friend mentioned this NEW, cozy restaurant. I love to support new small businesses. Fantastic food, amazing service! Great place for family dining. I recommend anybody looking for a fun, delicious new spot - check out Roz & Rocco's! I had the chicken parmigiana, and it was fabulous. I really enjoyed the bread, cheese and honey (photoed) I noticed a few said small portions.(?) only in America, lovers of "super sizing" fast food and all you can eat buffets. My order is in photos, perfectly sized for a meal. Who would think this is too small? Please go through the drive thru. Soon this place will be a local favorite.

My parents come here periodically, and I'd been trying to join them on one of my visits back home,…read morebut on a couple occasions we couldn't get reservations, and then the third time, we got one but it turned out they were going to be closed that week for a post New Year's vacation. Fast forward to this latest visit home. I finally secured a reservation...but then late yesterday afternoon my mom's knee started acting up to the point where she could barely stand on it. Fortunately, ice, Advil and rest overnight--and my mom really, really wanting to come here--kept us on track, and tonight I finally made it. It's a cozy spot, and I can see it making an excellent date night, especially since the BYOB setup allows you to bring the wine of your choice (and save some $$). We were seated promptly--this Sunday was relatively mellow--and the servers were super accommodating about removing a chair so that my mom's walker could occupy the unused space on our four-top. The menu is what I call right-sized. It may seem smallish, but there is a strategic assortment of salads and apps, pastas and mains (and, of course, desserts) that is sure to accommodate everyone. Dean, the young man who would go on to do an outstanding job taking care of us for the night (with the other two servers chipping in seamlessly as needed), went through the specials. My mom was particularly intrigued by a squid-ink fettucine with lobster and shrimp (and cherry tomatoes) in a saffron cream sauce. Could we split it as an app, we asked? Would it be too much food? On Dean's advice, we went ahead, while my dad got the mussels. All three of us ordered the pork chop, which my parents have been raving about for a couple years now. How could I not try it? Ordering finished, bread and olive oil (with a bit of balsamic) arrived at the table. Knowing I had a pasta coming and that the pork chop was a good-sized portion, I didn't want to overdo it, which I think was ultimately a good choice. The bread took the edge off, and then the pasta arrived. It was just the right amount for two people to share as an app, and we both enjoyed it, while my dad loved his mussels (and then dunked lots of his bread in it). Then came the main event. The pork chop lived up to (and frankly, exceeded) the hype. It was tender and perfectly cooked and oh-so-flavorful. Definitely one of the best I've ever eaten, and this isn't my first pork-chop rodeo. It was accompanied by asparagus and yummy baby Yukon Gold potatoes; I left a view of the latter, not because they weren't yummy but rather because the pork chop was huge and I was not skipping dessert. For dessert, I went with the house-made cannoli, which was a lovely, sweet (but not oversweet) ending to an excellent meal. I'd be happy to come back to Burrata anytime.

The waiters were very attentive. The menu was limited but has something for everyone. I went with the Chicken Parmiginia. The sauce was flavorful and delicious. The chicken was so tender and the portion size was just right. Not overwhelming at all. My wife had the squid ink pasta in a white wine and garlic sauce with crab meat. She didn't leave a morsel. We were amazed at how good our food was and why we hadn't dine here before. We split a mixed greens salad which was also delicious with apples. Topped it off with Strawberry Gelato and Limoncello cake. We had a great date night and can't wait to go back. Very reasonably priced and also a BYOB. So grab your friends or family, some adult beverages and have a wonderful dining experience. Burrata we will be back and sooner then later.

The interior is cozy and welcoming with neutral colored furniture and ambient lighting. When we walked in, we were greeted by what appeared to be the owner who checked us in for our reservation. The tables are a little close together so I can see how it might get cramped if every table is occupied. This wasn't the case tonight, though, as there were empty tables scattered throughout. Plenty of parking in the lot, too. Our waiter took great care of us from start to finish. Super attentive and friendly staff from what I heard and saw at other tables. One thing I would suggest is providing bread for the table. That would've made it a 5 star rating for me. We chose the Mozzarella Caprese as our appetizer and the mozzarella was fresh and firm. I added some salt and pepper to taste. My entree was the gnocchi truffle. The sauce was extremely flavorful and the gnocchi was al dente. The truffle pieces and cheese on top made it a 10/10 meal. We skipped dessert, but each enjoyed an espresso. Everything we ordered got to our table relatively quick, which was unexpected for a "holiday" that is typically busy. They seemed to have their operation under control, and that's awesome. A big thumbs up to Fellini Cafe. I'm looking forward to dining here again!

It is so so bright inside. We came at night and the place was lit up like a summers day. Why? It was super unwelcoming and almost awkward. It felt like I was in a doctors office literally. A very cool bright light. I suggest dimming them and toning down the lighting to give a warm cozy ambiance.

A Taste of Abruzzo in Bryn Mawr ?…read more Exit 13 isn't just a restaurant -- it's a warm, home-style escape straight into the heart of Abruzzo. The moment you walk in, the vibe hits you first: vibrant colors, rustic touches, and an ambiance that feels like stepping into someone's family dining room back in Italy. It's authentic, comforting, and alive with culture. The food? Unreal. Their **homemade bread** sets the tone -- rustic, fresh, and full of that old-world character. The **pizza** is on another level with dough that's so good it almost steals the show. Every pasta dish carries that handcrafted feel, the kind that tells you the recipe didn't come from a cookbook -- it came from memory. Appetizers are just as impressive, but the **grilled octopus** stands out as a true star. Perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and proof that Exit 13 puts heart into every dish. This is the kind of spot where the atmosphere and the food work together -- where the vibe feels like home and the flavors taste like heritage. Exit 13 doesn't just serve Italian cuisine. It brings Abruzzo to life. **A must-visit for anyone who loves real, soulful, authentic food.**

The service was very good: attentive and friendly. The ambiance is similar to Not Your Average Joe's in Ardmore with the upstairs/balcony seating and downstairs and big screen TV showing sports, but much noisier, especially as the upstairs also was filled with guests. By the time we left at 7:45pm after a 6:45pm reservation, it was loud enough that we had to fairly shout at each other to continue our conversation. The food was okay, except the salad which was excellent, but not worth returning for just the salad. - beet salad - 4.5/5, plentiful small diced red and yellow beets, avocado, arugula, a light dressing and burrato with crushed pistachios. a very solid starter salad and the server kindly split a large order into two small plates for us to share - fried calamari - 3/5, having just eaten at Estia last night which has a very good fried calamari, this one was not breaded as consistently and some of the pieces were a tad on the large side for a reasonable bite and too chewy to be cut with the fork or knife. - penne puttanesca - 3/5, my husband ordered this and while he not a self-proclaimed foodie, for him to say it was just okay means it was really just okay - linguine vongole - 3/5, points for the very plentiful offering of clams, i counted probably 20 generously sized clams (sometimes you get miniscule clams with this dish), but overall the sauce was too salty and there's not much you can do to fix that, and the linguine was a bit overcooked, definitely not even close to al dente We skipped dessert as by that point our ears were starting to ring with the high decibels coming from around us on the balcony and the floor below. It looked like a lot of people were having a good time so maybe it's just not for us.

It's the kind of space that makes you want to settle in and keep enjoying just one more bite. This visit, I had the veal stuffed homemade pasta and the Sicilian meatballs both rich, comforting, and beautifully balanced. The pasta was tender and clearly house-made, and the meatballs were perfectly seasoned in a slow-simmered sauce full of depth. The shrimp appetizer was the standout, served with a special house-made sauce and crispy pickled cucumbers for the perfect bright contrast. Truly my favorite shrimp appetizer I've ever had. Our server, Andrea, really made the experience even better. She helped us navigate the menu and offered thoughtful suggestions that we absolutely loved. Between the food, the ambiance, and the service, Rosalie always feels like comfort done right.

The experience was a little bizarre. Their website says "Rosalie doesn't allow reservations for 1,…read moreplease just walk in". I walked in, as directed, just for a very flustered man at the front of the house to fumble with his system for a good 10 mins. Telling me there was a table, then taking it back and saying there were no tables for the night, then saying nevermind and making me a reservation for two (which I would have done if not discouraged by the website) for half an hour later. At this point I already had a very bad taste in my mouth from the level of chaos. I waited outside for my table. When I got to my table I will say my server was very nice until a strange comment came up at dessert. Once I ordered my dessert, he left and came back with two spoons, saying "I brought two spoons for us." It almost seemed implied he'd join me. I dine a lot alone, voluntarily. Most of the time it's after work and I really don't want, let alone need, company. His comment gave me anxiety as I wondered how I would politely tell this man I wanted to dine alone. When he brought the dessert he did not join me but made sure to say "I'll be back for a few bites." Maybe it was a joke but to me it was very odd and made me pretty uncomfortable. I gave three stars just for the Cacio e Pepe. It was very good. I did (without giving tmi) have a very sick stomach after the meal and the morning after so I wouldn't return just incase that was the cause. Like a said... a weird experience.
