    Spaghetti & Red Sauce
    Rifkah S.

This is a small neighborhood Italian red sauce restaurant with a wonderfully attentive & thoughtful matre de and a knowledgeable & friendly staff who could use a little bit of polish though. The environment is bright & lively although cramped. The food is exactly what you would expect from a standard red sauce restaurant but served & flavored well. I would recommend making a reservation rather than just popping in as it is a small spot with limited seating & not much room to wait.

Service was ok. Let's start with the beverage, soda was flat. Salad was not as good as it looks.$16. Ordered the Sunday dinner and idk it was a disappointment. Sauce tasted like "chef boy arde". Tiramisu tasted previously frozen. (Maggianos has the best). Won't be returning to this location. Meatballs were terrible and they used to be really good. Also charged a "service fee" before bill was paid. Felt ripped off. Fake ambiance fake food. IMO

Ordered the Italian Wedge. When I asked the server about the dressing was told Caesar. Salad was supposed to be served with blue cheese crumble although they were not evident. That said it was served with blue cheese dressing... The fried prosciutto vs the bacon was nice but perhaps some crumbled Gorgonzola would have made sense. Ordered the Veal Parm, from the specials menu...asked what came with it ended up getting pasta... no prices on the special menu, so ask. When my veal Parmesan arrived it was made with a veal chop which was completely unexpected...overall ok but not great. My wife had the pasta bolognese which was decent. Decided to look at the dessert menu and decided to try the Crème Burlee Donut...(sounded interesting) it wasn't!! $9 for an old donut that was lite on fire with a blow torch.., save your money... Some people might enjoy the food we really didn't but only our opinion.

Prime time on a Saturday and parking was available despite a busy parking lot. The calamari appetizer is lightly breaded and crispy without being oily or greasy. Mostly uniform circles with some larger pieces. Very good. The caprese toast, tomato, mozzarella with herbed oil is a good shareable dish. The rigatoni in vodka sauce shined as top notch. Here, pasta is a strong suit and it shows. Sauce is flavorful, served piping hot mixed with the homemade pasta. While I enjoyed the chicken saltimbocca, it was different than what I think of as traditional. No sage sauce or capers but moist chicken with ample prosciutto. Service is attentive and plates come at a nice pace, especially this night when the house was full.

Perfect for the evening. It took a few minutes for the server to get to us, which wasn't terribly surprising with it being a busy holiday. By the time he got to us, we were ready to order, so we got those placed quickly. We started with the Italian egg rolls. They were very yummy, but the Calabrian chili sauce stole the show here. We would have loved a side cup of it for dipping. Still a solid appetizer. For entrees, I had the gnocchi, one of my favorite pasta dishes. It did not disappoint! The sauce was a great consistency, and the gnocchi were cooked to perfection. I wasn't used to the portion size though. I ended up taking home enough for probably another two meals. Great value here. The angel hair with crab was also a sizable meal. And for dessert, tiramisu finished off the evening. Yet another large portion and great for someone with a sweet tooth like me. I'd probably try a different dessert on another visit, but I was quite happy with it. All and all, a great outing that I'd be happy to repeat.

My parents come here periodically, and I'd been trying to join them on one of my visits back home,…read morebut on a couple occasions we couldn't get reservations, and then the third time, we got one but it turned out they were going to be closed that week for a post New Year's vacation. Fast forward to this latest visit home. I finally secured a reservation...but then late yesterday afternoon my mom's knee started acting up to the point where she could barely stand on it. Fortunately, ice, Advil and rest overnight--and my mom really, really wanting to come here--kept us on track, and tonight I finally made it. It's a cozy spot, and I can see it making an excellent date night, especially since the BYOB setup allows you to bring the wine of your choice (and save some $$). We were seated promptly--this Sunday was relatively mellow--and the servers were super accommodating about removing a chair so that my mom's walker could occupy the unused space on our four-top. The menu is what I call right-sized. It may seem smallish, but there is a strategic assortment of salads and apps, pastas and mains (and, of course, desserts) that is sure to accommodate everyone. Dean, the young man who would go on to do an outstanding job taking care of us for the night (with the other two servers chipping in seamlessly as needed), went through the specials. My mom was particularly intrigued by a squid-ink fettucine with lobster and shrimp (and cherry tomatoes) in a saffron cream sauce. Could we split it as an app, we asked? Would it be too much food? On Dean's advice, we went ahead, while my dad got the mussels. All three of us ordered the pork chop, which my parents have been raving about for a couple years now. How could I not try it? Ordering finished, bread and olive oil (with a bit of balsamic) arrived at the table. Knowing I had a pasta coming and that the pork chop was a good-sized portion, I didn't want to overdo it, which I think was ultimately a good choice. The bread took the edge off, and then the pasta arrived. It was just the right amount for two people to share as an app, and we both enjoyed it, while my dad loved his mussels (and then dunked lots of his bread in it). Then came the main event. The pork chop lived up to (and frankly, exceeded) the hype. It was tender and perfectly cooked and oh-so-flavorful. Definitely one of the best I've ever eaten, and this isn't my first pork-chop rodeo. It was accompanied by asparagus and yummy baby Yukon Gold potatoes; I left a view of the latter, not because they weren't yummy but rather because the pork chop was huge and I was not skipping dessert. For dessert, I went with the house-made cannoli, which was a lovely, sweet (but not oversweet) ending to an excellent meal. I'd be happy to come back to Burrata anytime.

The waiters were very attentive. The menu was limited but has something for everyone. I went with the Chicken Parmiginia. The sauce was flavorful and delicious. The chicken was so tender and the portion size was just right. Not overwhelming at all. My wife had the squid ink pasta in a white wine and garlic sauce with crab meat. She didn't leave a morsel. We were amazed at how good our food was and why we hadn't dine here before. We split a mixed greens salad which was also delicious with apples. Topped it off with Strawberry Gelato and Limoncello cake. We had a great date night and can't wait to go back. Very reasonably priced and also a BYOB. So grab your friends or family, some adult beverages and have a wonderful dining experience. Burrata we will be back and sooner then later.

The moment you walk in, the vibe hits you first: vibrant colors, rustic touches, and an ambiance that feels like stepping into someone's family dining room back in Italy. It's authentic, comforting, and alive with culture. The food? Unreal. Their **homemade bread** sets the tone -- rustic, fresh, and full of that old-world character. The **pizza** is on another level with dough that's so good it almost steals the show. Every pasta dish carries that handcrafted feel, the kind that tells you the recipe didn't come from a cookbook -- it came from memory. Appetizers are just as impressive, but the **grilled octopus** stands out as a true star. Perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and proof that Exit 13 puts heart into every dish. The service was very good: attentive and friendly. The ambiance is similar to Not Your Average Joe's in Ardmore with the upstairs/balcony seating and downstairs and big screen TV showing sports, but much noisier, especially as the upstairs also was filled with guests. By the time we left at 7:45pm after a 6:45pm reservation, it was loud enough that we had to fairly shout at each other to continue our conversation. The food was okay, except the salad which was excellent, but not worth returning for just the salad. - beet salad - 4.5/5, plentiful small diced red and yellow beets, avocado, arugula, a light dressing and burrato with crushed pistachios. a very solid starter salad and the server kindly split a large order into two small plates for us to share - fried calamari - 3/5, having just eaten at Estia last night which has a very good fried calamari, this one was not breaded as consistently and some of the pieces were a tad on the large side for a reasonable bite and too chewy to be cut with the fork or knife. - penne puttanesca - 3/5, my husband ordered this and while he not a self-proclaimed foodie, for him to say it was just okay means it was really just okay - linguine vongole - 3/5, points for the very plentiful offering of clams, i counted probably 20 generously sized clams (sometimes you get miniscule clams with this dish), but overall the sauce was too salty and there's not much you can do to fix that, and the linguine was a bit overcooked, definitely not even close to al dente We skipped dessert as by that point our ears were starting to ring with the high decibels coming from around us on the balcony and the floor below. It looked like a lot of people were having a good time so maybe it's just not for us.
