    Chicken Marsala
    Linda S.

It's a nice looking restaurant that was pretty busy. One would assume if a place is busy then it must be good. Well you know what they say about assuming. My husband ordered Angel hair with crab and I got Chicken Marsala. The sauce with his dish was watery thin and not as flavorful as he would have liked. My chicken marsala had the same issue. It really lacked flavor. The portion sizes were large, but I had to salt it 5 times and it still was missing flavor. Our waitress was great, so points for that. The restaurant is super loud, making it pretty difficult to have a conversation, but if you're married then that won't matter. I did see some pizzas at tables around us that looked really good, so if we do decide to go back, we might give that a try.

My friend wanted both sushi and pasta at her birthday dinner, which we thought would be impossible to find in a single restaurant. And then we discovered Lascala's Fire. Apparently, the sushi menu is new to this location. We had concerns that the quality of the sushi wouldn't be great, but those concerns were unfounded. Our server explained that the sushi menu is prepared in the kitchen by an actual sushi chef and not just pulled out of the fridge by the pasta chefs. My friends ordered the Spicy Tuna Tartare and the Spicy Tuna Rolls and enjoyed them very much. The plating was also lovely, but I wasn't able to grab a photo since they were eaten so quickly! I ordered the Ricotta Tortellini and another fried ordered the Spicy Chicken Cutlet Rigatoni. They were both delicious and the servings were generous. The pasta was fresh and properly cooked and the sauces were very flavorful. We shared a plate of Profiteroles for dessert, and they were devoured almost as soon as they landed on the table. Our server was very friendly and attentive and seemed very knowledgeable about the menu. The food is brought out as it's ready, which is great for temperature and freshness, but makes the pacing of the meal a bit disjointed. The sushi came to our table first, so those of us who ordered pasta basically sat and watched the sushi eaters eat while we waited for our food. Then the sushi eaters were done when we got our pasta, so they were just sitting there watching us eat. Not a huge deal, and we were all sharing bites of our dishes throughout the meal, but something to be aware of if you're planning a visit. The only thing I didn't love was the overall ambiance of the restaurant. It's a very large and open space, so it gets pretty loud when it's busy (we were there on a Friday night when the restaurant was full). And the space is packed full of tables without a ton of room in between them, so you kind of feel like you're sitting on top of the people directly behind you. And even though I kept scooching my chair in as far as possible, the servers passing through still bumped into me a handful of times. Not a great spot for a quiet, private dinner out, but good for grabbing delicious food with a group of friends. And where else are you going to find sushi and pasta in one restaurant?

Indoor and outdoor bar. Outdoor bar can be enclosed. Friendly fast bartender service. Maple bourbon old fashioned Buffalo chicken cutlet pizza- was ok but the chicken was chewy and the crust was very doughy. The prices are pretty high for the quality.

The tuna bowl was absolutely filling and delicious. Weight staff was very attentive. My only issue was the waitress who waited on us had a dirty black shirt on, She looked disheveled.

Came here for dinner with friends. We had a reservation and were seated right away. We had the mussels. They were delicious and a huge portion. For my entree, I had the spicy chicken cutlet rigatoni. It was in a vodka sauce and had burrata on it. This was amazing and the portion was huge so I actually split it with my mom. Service was great. Price isn't cheap but isn't overly expensive either, felt about what you would expect it to be at a nice Italian restaurant. I would defintley go here again.

I didn't realize the pizza was only for one individual and was much smaller than expected. However both of the pizzas we received were delicious. I wish the pizza was bigger for a group of people but I would come back to get their pizzas again.

I am in Newtown Square this week for a Work Trip...Was invited to Dinner to Lascala off Chester Pike. There were pre orders of Meatballs, Chicken parmigiana, & Neopolitan Pizza. I found the meatballs to be juicy, not dried, Chicken was crispy with melted mozzarella cheese on top, The Neo pizza was not bad then again, how can you mess that pizza up... Service was excellent, bartender was quick and friendly. I would recommend trying this place again next time I am in town as in Newtown....

    Lemon shrimp and crab

Dropped in for a late lunch and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is upscale in a comfortable way and there's indoor and outdoor seating with a full bar in both spots. Menu has something for everyone --we had a late lunch and I decided to try the Lemon shrimp and crab pasta dish with their gluten free gnocchi. It--was--really--good. The gnocchi were small but plentiful coming with an ample amount of crab and shrimp all sitting in a very fresh tasting lemon sauce. The chicken Marsala was a decent portion of tender meat atop perfect Al dente linguini and just the right amount of Marsala sauce. All of the staff seemed friendly and courteous and our waiter was no exception--checking on us at appropriate times without being disruptive. Next time I'll try one of the several salads and share La Scala's fries!

We were semi-self service in the restaurant because it was only 1 person working in the front. I felt really bad for him. He took sometime to order and brought the food out. Nevertheless the food was good. The mussels were flavorful. The sauce was white-wine base. Very unique. It came with the garlic bread on the side. I highly recommend to try. The wings are tender and juicy inside, good texture, not dry. Many tables and seats inside. Bathroom is ok. Street parking. Overall a good place to watch sports and get rowdy with tasty food.

Tap 24 was the one that had dining area right in front of the entrance with huge large glass window, so we were able to enjoy the beautiful summer day while dining. The dining space was not as big as regular restaurants, few tables in front for larger groups and smaller ones were further inside across the bar. The bar huge though where most people hung out. They also had a game viewing area in the back. But though out the place there were several TVs that had the game on. The menu had plenty of popular American style dishes. I got to try the chicken wings and mussels for appetizers. Both were excellent. My friends loved their sandwiches and salmon dishes as well. All the dishes were served within a short wait time. The bartender was serving our table as well. He did really good job. We had a wonderful time hanging out with everyone while dining and watching the game.

We chose this spot because we were looking for a Caribbean spot other than Ibis. We said we would run to an atm and be back and we were then informed that it would be $20...we tried to look this place up earlier ti find this info and saw noneee of that. Bouncer ended up honoring all of us but one to pay the 10, but it was you know, an annoying start. Once we got in there wasn't that many people here. So seemed crazy that you are charging 20 to get in...Scene picked up around 12-1, maybe then the price should change. Hookah costs 25. Coals are an additional charge of like three dollars- annoying, At least the first coal should be free. Especially when they aren't even the big hookahs... Drinks were about $7 which isn't bad. Shots were sufficient, no real issue with that. Maybe another bartender would help. The place is spacious, vibe is great. This night they played American Music and Caribbean music so great blend. I heard that on Fridays theres no cover and they have $5 fishbowls...thats my kind of party so I hope that it's true. There's one functional pool table. Enough tvs to watch a game and ultimately a nice little hangout spot. There is parking in the back as well. Overall, once the party picked up and we kept drinking the fun increased! Didn't want to leave! Limited chairs/seating. There was an event that night, someones birthday and food was served. Not sure if thats every night but either way totallyyyyy worth the cover

There's five or six flatbread pizzas to choose from a nice offering of salads as well as sandwiches, and four entrées, consisting of mac & cheese, fish and chips, muscles, pork cutlet. I always enjoy Reuben so I took their twist of a Reuben cheesesteak on a pretzel hoagie, which was nice and soft and a fun twist on a Reuben.
