Must have been a bad night, but food not so good. The bartenders were amazing and the servers very nice. Veal could not be cut with a knife and could not eat. The veal parm tasted freezer burnt too. Not impressed. Paid $23 for the fettuccine alfredo to barely have any alfredo on it. Paid another $29 for the chicken fettuccine alfredo that barely has any Alfredo on it. The price I paid was absolutely not worth it. The pizza was very good with lots of flavor but you're not getting your moneys worth. read more

We came back out this past weekend for an impromptu dinner / drinks and once again, they outdid themselves. Dom & Mia's is tagged as an Italian restaurant, which it nails 100% with the apps, dinners and deserts. I had the bone in ribeye and my wife had seafood Pasquale, which is out of control loaded with crabmeat, shrimp & scallops too. For apps, we couldn't go wrong with the arancini balls which is like no other. But the thing that makes this a 100% win is the bar menu too for specialty drinks for my wife & daughters and the beer menu for me. We love going here and can NOT wait to come back. read more

Birthday dinner with my partner. Very nice ambiance with open kitchen. Everyone on staff with whom we came in contact was very friendly. It happened to be extremely loud in the restaurant the night we dined but our server (the wonderful Jean!!) told us that was very unusual. Apparently a group of businessmen came in unexpectedly, first to the bar and then sat down to have dinner. Fabulous mandarin Cosmopolitan (only $8 vs. the specialty cocktails on the drinks menu that were $15)! Partner started with cup of beef vegetable soup which arrived lukewarm. Had it been me, who likes her soup hot, I'd have sent it back. My husband likes lukewarm though so it worked for him. We both very much enjoyed our entrees, he the "Burning Sun," saffron ravioli (see photo of menu) and I the Jalapeno Burger (not too spicy and cooked just as requested). French fries were delicious. For dessert we shared the Sweet Potato Cheesecake which was very light and fluffy--it could easily be shared by four people, it was that rich. Our decaf coffee was really good as well, not the usual swill often served at restaurants. One suggestion for the restaurant. As noted above, Jean, was a terrific server. However, one of the young food runners, rather than walking around the table to serve my partner, dropped the food by me and pushed it over to him. Just something to teach a young newbie. There's a lot I like here. I think they did a fantastic job with the look of the place. Everyone I encountered on the staff were wonderful and attentive. I was mildly surprised that they weren't overly busy on Father's Day at 6 p.m. but they weren't dead either. It seemed like the perfect night to try them. My wife and I split the Stromboli Egg Rolls. They had a nice and crispy exterior with lots of meat filling. Definitely has a little more of an oily taste to it which isn't necessarily a bad thing but some might think they're a little on the greasy side. But it's not a cheap kind of oily if you know what I mean. The flavor of the peppered ham comes through in some bites more than others. That red pepper gravy is phenomenal though. I would take some to go if I could just to have at home. Maybe a little less oil and a little more spicy ham and this is a total winner. But we both liked it. She ordered a pepperoni pizza which I also tasted. The cup style pepperoni is a good touch. She loved the crust to it, which had a nice crisp and sweetness to it. I wasn't getting much sauce flavor in the initial taste. Pepperoni can overwhelm that to be fair. But toward the end of the slice I caught a good taste and loved the kick it had. It wasn't an overwhelmingly great pizza, but it was a good enough restaurant style pizza. I like it when the sauce is bold throughout but that's a personal preference. I went with Chicken Parmesan. For $27, I had high expectations. I'd say the majority of them were met. The portion is huge, first plus. The Sunday Gravy is fantastic. I tasted it separately and really enjoyed the depth of flavor, second plus. The chicken was juicy and tender, third plus. I'd say the breading on it was good and crispy, but it was slightly overdone in spots. I bring that up because at times the flavor of the breading in a bite would counter the sauce flavor to the point where it wouldn't come through. It's a shame because the sauce on its own is that good. It's a very subtle thing. The cheese comes out firm and not gooey, which some may like or not like based on texture preferences (I did for the record). My boy gave the thumbs up on his chicken fingers and fries. He's easy. I did take home some of their creme brûlée. It's gone now. Ain't nothing wrong with it at all. The dessert menu looks like a winner. I'm going to say that this place has a ton of potential. I'm rooting for them in a big way to succeed. And this was a good meal in a lot of ways. But I can see the opportunities to improve too. Thankfully they're minor in my mind. read more

Living so close I just had to experience all the hype myself... well it was totally worth it..! I'll keep this simple. Went for lunch and won't be going back anytime soon. Food: just ok; I don't have a problem paying high prices for a meal but this place charges way to much for what they offer. My husband ordered the chicken with broccoli rabe, sharp provolone, and aioli sauce sandwich. It was supposed to come with sharp provolone. When my husband asked where the cheese was, the waitress said cheese wasn't supposed to come with it. The menu clearly stated it came with sharp provolone. My husband was insistent so the waitress took the plate back to have cheese put on it. Several minutes later, the manager came back with the sandwich and said the "chef" put cheese on it but the "chef" removed the aioli sauce. No apology, no nothing...and why would you remove something??? Service: just ok; no knowledge or comprehension of what dished are or can be made gluten free. Waitress said she would ask "chef" and then proceeded to make a beeline for the bar area where she had a lengthy discussion with the manager after which she came back and still was clueless. What a great gem tucked over near the new high school. The food there is A+++++! The Italian is very personally prepared by somebody who really knows,loves and cares about first impressions. The atmosphere is cozy too! Windows all around . Bar on one side w all the games, golf,etc tables on the other side. Big open area at the center where you enter. You can peek a boo the games from the tables. Servers are hustling there! Food moves pretty efficiently. Had Chuck Mac singing the Sinatra Elvis Martin hits when we were there, in the atrium. Our second visit back to Dom and Mia's on a quiet Tuesday night. Our server was attentive, and we appreciated her recommendations. We enjoyed the autumn harvest salad although we would have loved more goat cheese. The blackened salmon with toasted farro was interesting, and I appreciated that the dish was slightly different from salmon served at other restaurants, particularly with the addition of the farro. The pork chop was a generous portion. It's amazing what they did to this former bank, and we love the vibe. Springfield doesn't have many restaurants like this. The only unpleasant part of our dining experience was the cold air that blasted from the vents every so often. We were seated by the window, but the draft seemed to be coming from above. read more

We've eaten here a few times since they opened. Mostly because it's a 5 minute walk from our house so it's convenient. The restaurant is nicely decorated. It could use a bit of sound deadening as it sometimes can get loud. Every time we've been there the staff have been friendly and welcoming. I think they may have changed up the menu in the last year but I could be wrong. The food is good. Faint praise. It's not terrible but not outstanding either. For the price, it should be better than "good". For example the sauce on the chicken parmesan, it's light, bright, doesn't seem from a can...but really doesn't bring pop to the plate. Maybe some fresh basil and garlic to elevate it. In summation, it seems like the place doesn't know what it wants to be, a local joint or a fine dining destination. read more

Nice interior, bar is really nice. The interior like the menu don't seem to connect. You expect a nice Italian restaurant being called Dom and Mia. The menu is lost it's more of an American menu with some Italian some southwest it's just all over the place. The interior feel is somewhere between sports bar and American restaurant. Definitely not an Italian restaurant feel. The prices are way to high for whatever it is they are trying to pull off. We drove by tonight and not a person in the place. I think folks went and expected one thing and got something else. Time to pivot quickly or this will be like way too many restaurants. read more

Visited on a Wednesday for a late dinner. Not very busy, so service was good. Comfortable temperature inside, tabletop/dishes/silverware were all clean. The bread was light and fluffy, flavorful and fresh salsa for dipping as well. For an appetizer we had the goat cheese brussels sprouts, which was delicious. The loose leaf sprouts were nice and crispy, while the whole sprouts (halved) were cooked well in the balsamic glaze. The goat cheese was fantastic and melted in my mouth on first bite. Great dish. I ordered the seafood special, which was a mix of crab, shrimp and scallop meat over spaghetti in a scampi sauce. The scallops were delicious and cooked to perfection, but shrimp left more to be desired. They were cooked well and had nice texture but lacked seasoning. I can say the same for the scampi sauce, which was a bit heavier than expected. The butter abundantly overpowered any garlic or lemon that may have been present in the sauce, leaving the flavor a bit one-dimensional. On the bright side, the spaghetti did a good job of soaking up sauce and made for flavorful bites. My girlfriend had the scallops over risotto and swore by it, so I had a bite. The scallops, as previously mentioned, were cooked to perfection. Risotto was light and fluffy, and the prosciutto added a nice crunch to the overall texture of the dish. I'd like to order it the next time out. Overall a good experience! Wine came with a nice chiller sleeve and price was affordable but not cheap. Dom & Mia's provides a nicer-end experience to Saxer Ave, and I'd like to explore more of their menu on the next visit. read more

Dom and Mia's is the perfect date night!! My fiancé and I went in on a Saturday night for the first time and couldn't compliment them enough. Our waitress, Gina was so sweet! She was friendly and accommodating through our whole night. We enjoyed the BEST CALAMARI ever as an appetizer. Seriously, every bite was filled with flavor! Highly recommend!! As entrees we enjoyed perfectly seared scallops over bamboo rice and the best cutlet sandwich I've ever tasted. The chefs go above and beyond to perfect such a simple recipe making you want to savor every bite. The cutlet sandwich was topped with a lemon burrata that to die for. Tried this place for the first time tonight. Not sure if it's an Italian Restaurant- Gastro Pub - sandwich Shop or a Pizza place...don't think their to sure either... Wait staff young and inexperienced...although friendly enough no follow up once your food arrives. Ordered the Oven Baked Wings $15 with "Bayside" sauce...not knowing what that was...ordered it on the side...wings came out by a food runner who dropped and ran...covered in sauce...no sign of our server so we started eating... Not bad but not great either...although Oven Baked just not sure how long ago... They arrived pretty quick so obviously re-heated!! I'd prefer freshly cooked myself... Then tried the pepperoni pizza...barely 14"...$17 not good... Crust is cracker like, way to much flour!!...on the bottom...should have taken a picture of my black napkin. Tasted raw flour...very thick tomato sauce...and I think there was cheese on it?? I understand how difficult it is to open a new restaurant...been there - done that!! Figure out what you want to be and do it well...no need to try to offer every type of food served in the entire neighborhood... My wife and I always joke about who's drink cost more...tonight mine far exceeded hers $28 for 2 Jamison neat?? $12 for 2 6 oz pour of Merlot?? Makes zero sense to me!! Don't think I'll be back until they decide what they do best and do it!!! 2 stars for the interior, restaurant is beautiful inside... Best of Luck!! read more

We tried Dom & Mia's tonight for the first time. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the food. My wife and I both started with the Summer Onion Soup (French onion). Soup was delicious. They were very generous with the cheese. The serving size was too small. This was much smaller than a traditional bowl of French Onion soup...more like a cup of soup. Entrees - I had the bone in New York Strip steak and my wife had Chicken Parm. I didn't taste the chicken parm, but my wife said she enjoyed it. I was not a fan of my steak. On a positive note, I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out cooked as I requested. On the hand, it was very chewy and had a lot of fat that was tough to swallow. The steak came out smothered in something called 145 steak sauce. I was not expecting it to be covered on steak sauce. Honestly the sauce wasn't very good and it took away from the taste of the steak. I wasn't happy with this entree. For dessert I ordered the skillet cookie. The cookie was good, but another waiter accidentally served my cookie to another customer. By the time my cookie came out everyone else had finished their dessert. This should have been taken off of the bill. Lastly when we arrived I asked the waitress if we could have separate checks and she said yes. When the bill came, everything was on one bill. She said she thought I was asking if they could split the check between two cards. I thought this was a common request in the restaurant industry. Food is okay but not worth the price. Not sure if I'll be going back. Maybe I'll give it another shot. read more

Service was excellent. For the price tag food was just ok. Fried calamari was excellent. We enjoyed that very much: Not quite sure what was going on with the French onion soup. It was kinda sweet. Cheese was odd... My complaint is the filet mignon, it was a very poor cut of meat: if you are going to charge those prices please leave out the gristle. It was not enjoyable at all. The fish special was just OK. Not good and not bad. Ambiance and service was great. I live 3 mins away from the restaurant. I was so excited to have a decent restaurant in delco. I wish I could say I would be coming back often.. shame because it is so convenient. read more

We recently went to Dom & Mia's for a couples dinner. I would first like to comment on what others have said that this place is unsure what it is. I understand the comment but do not agree with the sentiment. The restaurant is located in a family friendly area and they offer sandwiches and pizza for all while also having a short list of more upper end disbars. So to me, they are meeting multiple needs very nicely. They do not have a dedicated parking lot but we found a space without difficulty. Walking in, the place is very nicely laid out - bar and tvs off to the one end and tables that have decent spacing between them for dining. We tried the calamari and the Chateau salad as appetizers - both were plenty big and very good. We tried the scallops and crab cakes (listed as an appetizer but they are 2 significantly sized crab cakes). Both were good; the crab cakes could use a little more flavor (sauce or accompaniment) and the scallops were above average. We also tried a Tripping Lille and C-Note cocktail - both were very nicely done (the C- Note was great!). The pricing was appropriate, the service was attentive and friendly. read more

First of what will be many visits. Stopped in prior to a game so we were only in for drinks and pizza at the bar but awesome first impression. As the locals know this was formerly a bank and they did a fantastic job with the remodel, especially the former vault. Drinks were good and refreshing and tap selection was nice (I believe around 7 beers on tap). The pizza's were different then what you would get from the neighboring take out places and that is perfect. My wife and I will absolutely be back for dinner to dive deeper into the menu. My husband and I went to Dom and Mia's last night for our date night. We had a gift card, and had looked at the menu in advance to make our game plan of what we would order. We were seated at a nice table that had plenty of room for the two of us. The restaurant wasn't crowded - it was the Thursday after VDay, so I'm assuming that a lot of people probably went out two days ago for dinner, hence the lack of crowd. The restaurant had just updated their menu this week, which was awesome because the new selections looked great. I started with the pom.com drink which was good. The drink prices here are more in line with drink prices in center city, but I felt that the portion was good. We started with the Shrimp Lejune and the Mini Crab Cakes. Shrimp Lejune shrimp were delicious and cooked perfectly. The sauce was a horseradish cream sauce and I felt like it needed a touch more horseradish, but overall delish. The Mini Crab Cakes were a favorite. The cakes themselves were filled with fresh crab, and the dipping sauce was flavorful. We will definitely order these again. For entrees, my husband got the chicken parm. He loved the sauce and the fresh pasta but said otherwise the dish was fairly standard chicken parm - he was expecting that of chicken parm. It's a comfort dish, so it's kind of expected that it's the same place to place. I got a new menu item, the seafood royale pasta. This was probably the BEST seafood pasta dish I've ever gotten at a restaurant and that is saying a lot - I have been to many fresh pasta places. The dish had four jumbo shrimp, two large scallops, and was covered in clams and crab. When I say covered, I mean in every single bite of the dish, I had multiple chunks of fresh crab meat and clams. All of this was coated in a lemon butter sauce. To die for. It was rich and I couldn't finish it all and I cannot wait to eat my leftovers. The dish was $35, but you definitely got your money's worth of seafood here. For dessert, we each got gelato. I had a scoop of dark chocolate and a scoop of salted caramel. Highly recommend that combo! It was creamy and so good. The reason I'm deducting a star here is related to the service. Our waiter was an older gentleman who was nice enough, although a little gruff at times. It felt like all business, no chit chat at all. He took a long time to serve us at every stage. For instance, after we sat down, we were there for seven or eight minutes before we had drink orders taken and another eight or nine minutes after our drinks came before he came back to take our orders. Food came out quickly once ordered, but we had to ask for things like new silverware after ours was collected with the apps, etc. At the end of the evening, when we were paying, he collected our gift card and credit card, and then didn't ring it up for another 15 minutes or so while he was serving other folks and doing things in the restaurant. There was another server who was there who seemed to be more efficient, but it just took a long time for every step of the meal, and it makes me nervous to have our credit card out of our hands for such a long period of time in any scenario. I really loved it, we will definitely be back. Food was awesome. But we'll know about the service being slow going into it in the future. read more

My wife and I were there last August 2022 for her birthday. Had a great experience. We brought friends tonight because we liked the place. Unfortunately, our waiter was very slow and not very attentive. We had to wait way too long for drinks and service. My buddy never complains but thought the bill was way too high for what we ordered. I felt embarrassed bringing friends here because they were disappointed. If we go there again, we will probably just go for lunch and order pizza because the pizza looked good on other people's' tables. Also if our same waiter is there, I will request not to have him. read more

Dom and Mia's was our families favorite restaurant for special occasion, or just when we wanted to do a nice sit down meal. Not always easy to find with a 16, 14, and 8 year old. Of course when my son was asked where he wanted to celebrate his communion he chose Dom and Mia's. I booked our reservation of 7 and a week and a half later I get a call that my reservations are cancelled due to a party that booked the whole restaurant. Now one week before Communion I am calling around for reservations. Shocker many places are booked due to the communion. I get that they are going to make more money from a party than my table of seven, but that doesn't make me less disappointed. I should have been contacted sooner! read more

The Arancini appetizer was unique and had a great taste. The crab cakes were mostly crab and spiced perfectly. The Salmon dinner was prepared perfectly. The Chicken Parmesan and homemade pasta were excellent, and there was so much chicken I wish I could've kept eating! The Seafood Medley looked incredible and dissapearred fast, too.
