Outstanding Dining Experience Review I recently ordered door dash at this place and the taste thoroughly impressed me. Here's my take: First impressions Food The food was delicious and served hot, exactly as it should be. It's clear there's a strong commitment to quality and timely execution. I forgot to snap a photo of my own dish, but I did photograph my son's meal--his sandwich looked delicious and was presented well. Highlights Consistently hot and flavorful dishes. A kitchen that clearly cares about the quality and timing of the plates. Would I recommend? Yes. If you're looking for reliably tasty, hot meals and delicious food. Quick note for future visits If you're like me and love snapping photos of your plates, try to capture your own dish next time--though the presentation on my son's plate was a great tease of what the kitchen can deliver.

Grilled Chicken Italiano With Spinach and Provolone

Really good sandwiches. We're eager to try more of their menu. Finally tried Johnny Paisano's in their newish location near Staples. Had passed by their old one on Baltimore Pike previously but had never gone in. Boy, we missed a lot. We ordered two different sandwiches to split while watching bowl games and they were both great (the sandwiches, not the games). Grilled Chicken Italiano: With Provolone and Spinach. Perfectly melted cheese wrapped the chicken and spinach. Very tasty. Grilled Chicken Spezie: Grilled chicken pieces with a combination chili oil and pesto sauce, with asiago cheese to hold everything together. Really, really spicy. Really good. Both sandwiches came on seeded rolls, about 10 inches each. We didn't make much progress on either sandwich because they were so dense. More leftovers though! Waited a few minutes for our order upon arrival. Payment was easy (self service) with contactless payments and a separate screen for tip. They have a refrigerator section at the entrance for desserts. There is also a small dining room, which was packed. Parking was easy in their shared strip mall lot. It's near Orange Theory Fitness and Capriotti's. I'd definitely go back to try more takeout items.

We had the wings and grilled chicken Caesar salad hoagies which were great but there's something off with the Caesar dressing imo. Staff was very attentive and friendly.

Pistachio cake, salted caramel cake (special), ricotta bread (special)

Service is superb. The staff wanted to make sure I had a fresh cake. Their hard work with the display worked on me as I got a pistachio cake slice in addition to their special of salted caramel crunch vanilla. I think the pistachio one comes out the most for me because they used actual pistachios. The crunch from the other one comes from the nuts I think, but it works. With both cakes, the syrup texture felt similar and even though I liked the syrup, I didn't love it. I'm not an expert on making food, but this is what my palette was telling me. Maybe others can offer an opinion on their cakes as well. I also ordered their special of Ricotta Special Bread. They have a picture of this on their IG, and it's almost like a pizza, but it just works. The combination of flavors and the different type of ingredients, and the portion size is nice. This should probably be a regular on their menu instead. One of the ladies working there was raving about how she wanted some herself too- I wasn't sure if it was just her being a great employee- but no, it's the real deal! The staff here really want to make you feel like you're at home. I'm wavering between 4 and 5 stars here, and I think it comes down to based on what you order and if you enjoy it or not. I think some of their items will "knock you out of the park" and others are just okay. I don't think there will be anything people would absolutely hate unless they are too picky. They update their FB and IG, but their website doesn't have the current specials listed. Just me thinking about it, it sounds like a lot to update.

    Homemade Italian dishes!
    Mike M.

We were in the area visiting from DE., found this place with good ratings, good reviews & great food! Everyone was friendly, accommodating & you can feel the Italian vibe in the air. We started w/appetizers: the meatballs & cheesesteak egg rolls. The egg rolls tasted freshly made & tasted like a crunchy little cheese steak. The meatballs...omg!!!!....these are the real deal, all beef, homemade! Side note: we met the owner table side, telling him what good food he served. In conversation, my wife mentioned she has food allergies & couldn't eat some of the items on menu. She mentioned how good the cheese steak egg rolls looked but they come from same fryer as shellfish so she couldn't have them. Johnny came back shortly with a cheese steak egg roll & grilled it for her, (so not to trigger her allergies), which she loved. It says a lot about what Johnny Paisano's is all about. A team working together like family. For entrees, I got the short rib ragu over fresh Pappardelle pasta and my wife got the braciole. Both dishes had home made Italian gravy that tasted so fresh, garden tomatoes, garlic, herbs & spices with a whole lotta love going into this sauce. The meat in both our dishes was flavorful & tender. I couldn't believe it, but we had barely enough room for deserts: The Chocolate Bomb & Crème Brûlée cheese cake. Looks can be deceiving; the Chocolate Bomb, filled with chocolate mousse, cream filling & Nestle Crunch crust, was 1/2 as heavy as the cheesecake. Both....were amazing! We live 1 1/2 hrs away, but Johnny Paisano's is locked in my favorite restaurants!

Food was delicious, came out quickly, huge portions, fair prices, clean space, and friendly staff. Also Johnny is hilarious! -UF Florida waterpolo team

Homemade fresh Chicken Pot Pie Soup

On this cold night, we are enjoying the Amazing Escarole soup, Chicken Pot Pie soup, and Chicken Caesar Salad. Over the top FRESH and FLAVORFUL. Bellissimo!

My Wife and I were looking for something quick to eat for lunch and came across this place and figured it was worth a try from what we heard. As soon as we entered it has a classic and intimate atmosphere. The staff was friendly and immediately invited us to sit down. They have an extensive menu of a wide range of Italian foods but I decided I had to try the Italian sub. The Italian sub was packed with so much flavor, quality meats, and all the toppings you would want on it.....it was overflowing. I took my time and enjoyed the experience.....I personally can't wait until I return.

Huge servings of delicious, homestyle Italian dishes served with hot, toasted garlic bread. Loved the warm, welcoming atmosphere (shout out to our friendly server, Bernie) and the wide variety of pastas and sauces. The dining room is small, so try a weeknight or arrive before 5 to get a table for an early supper.

So their Cacio E Pepe was a natural choice for me. Gnocchi is not typically my first pasta choice of texture but Luca's makes the gnocchi and sauce blend so well together . I feel like I would love this sauce on fettuccine and I would like that more but I also think it complements the texture of the gnocchi better too. The shrimp accentuates this dish . So hopefully you like shrimp. They peeled off the shells completely which was nice. The bread had tasty herbs and the salad was refreshing. The sfogliatella was crunchy with tasty custard but the winning dessert has to be the pistachio ricotta cake.. The flavor of the cake is a fun experience in one's mouth and I didn't feel it was too cheesy or too sweet etc. The ingredients are just balanced so well together for a "food harmony." Anyone reading this and seeing that made up term wants to make you give this place a try now! Everything tastes like it was made from scratch. The menu may be relatively small, but they are good at what they do. Staff was friendly and they seem to know their regulars and new people. I also might have been the only one ordering on a random Wednesday night. I believe there is a small seating area but I took out.

I waited approximately six minutes before I was escorted to my own event room (the patio). The table was set with the proper amount of place settings. The event room was clean and appeared well maintained. The server, Billy, arrived within two minutes of being seated. He introduced himself and brought menus. He also brought menus with specials. As I was a bit concerned about the standard menu not having enough variety of selections, the specials added items I did like. I had the swordfish special. All food and drink items arrived within a reasonable amount of time. As extra items were needed, they were also brought in a reasonable amount of time. Billy and the rest of the service staff that assisted were attentive, pleasant and friendly. The food was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The prices were reasonable when compared to the quality and portion received. My guests and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would recommend and return. Many of my guests are new fans of this restaurant because of this experience.

When I first stopped in here it was in a whim, and although they do have a selection of whimsical, sweet, dare I say, ridiculous and sweet coffee beverages, they were able to make me a traditional Italian macchiato. I had been unable to find a good, even passable REAL macchiato anywhere, and they delivered in spectacular fashion. Not only was the drink silky, strong, and small, it was made with outstanding Italian roasted espresso that has a different character than the standard, heavier-roasted American palate has come to be used to. This alone would have been enough for me to return time and time again when I was in the area, but after getting breakfast sandwich on a whim, this instantly became a weekly stop; more than that, a destination. Fast forward a few years and the initial attraction of coffee, sandwich, and friendly staff has transformed into a beautiful relationship where I can easily walk in, everyone knows me before I am all the way through the door, and even knowing my idiosyncrasies, are still excited to see me and listen to me prattle on about whatever might be the story of the day. The time spent here has given me the opportunity to try nearly everything on the menu and try every drink available. Including all the dry goods, pasta for sale, frozen trays of delicious Italian staples, and more. I am not one to just stick to the things I know I enjoy as I am always on a journey for something interesting and exciting, so whenever something shows up I am getting that rather than something in my "comfort zone". This has led to me traditionally losing interest or finding that the quality of a place declines for myself over time, especially multiple years. Not the case here at Napoletano, it has only done the exact opposite and gotten much more rewarding and somehow even more delicious and embracing of people and everyone who comes through the door. This brings me to my most recent food adventures into the menu here, the newest additions for the most part, the added amazing hoagie list. I have had two. The first I tried was the Gondolier, which I was enamored with for weeks. I had been there too early to order lunch time and time again, and then FINALLY, one day it was about time for lunch to be available and Michelle, the wonderful woman running the front of house and so much more, was able to get me this sandwich just a bit early. It had it all....outstanding bread, roasted red peppers, seriously premium meats, both standard deli and cured. However, something just missed the mark for me. I couldn't believe it. I don't know what and I don't know why. I was immediately disappointed, likely because I had hyped this up in my head for so long and I have come to expect so much from Napoletano, I simply couldn't believe that this wasn't the best hoagie I had ever enjoyed. That fact has eaten at me for at least a month now, but today that all changed, and is possibly why I finally found my voice to put all my thoughts together an write this after so many years. During my visit to say hello today, I realized it was once again right around the time where I could order sandwiches. I toyed with the thought of the cutlet sandwiches or even the Cuban which is amazing, but after going around and around and around talking to everyone working about this and that, I finally decided on another hoagie; the Sicilian. Kris, another of my favorite people along with Fanny (who was on vacation) helped me inch toward this one based on my description of my whole previous experience, and tbh is sandwich is so interestingly unique. Topped with lemon and orange zest, it doesn't sound like it would work, but once you take your first bite, you begin to examine your entire existence. Why have you never had a specialty Italian hoagie topped with citrus zest??? The question has been running through my head all day since lunch, and I still cannot understand why I haven't been enjoying something like this my entire life. So many years lost of amazing sandwich experiences.....this sandwich was so divine, despite looking slightly barren and strange, that it blew apart my entire disappointment I had been holding since the gondolier. I will absolutely try the other four in the list. I would have anyway, but this definitely took that mission off of life support and put it front and center. There are so many reasons to go to Napoletano. I could spend another thirty paragraphs writing about what is great about this place, the people, the drinks, the space, all of it. But instead of doing that, you should just go here. Even if you're not close, and enjoy!
