This is a tough one to score. It is a big cheese steak. I got the special cheese steak.The special cheese steak comes with fried onions, green peppers, mushroom, sauce and cheese. The fried onions, green peppers and mushrooms were mixed in nicely with the meat. The cheese was melted on top which I am getting use to. The sauce was sitting on top of the Cheesesteak under the cheese. I would have liked it much better if the sauce was mixed in with the meat, fried onions, green peppers and mushrooms. Anyway, $9.25, a big cheesesteak, good flavor and the roll held up well through a lot of travel in the night in my refrigerator. Very nice people, good looking menu and take out only. Hi I'm here visiting my best friend. I got them to go out of their comfort zone and order from someplace new. We ordered a large thin crust cheese pizza, wings with hot on the side and cheese fries. It arrived 15 minutes early. Pizza was great. Just the right amount of ingredients. Wings were perfectly cooked. I'm glad I ordered the hot sauce because it wasn't too spicy. Fries were still hot and crispy. Got cheese sauce with it. No complaints here even from the "picky peanut gallery" I think my friends will order from here again. If we could give a zero we would. We ordered two sandwiches at 7:15 and by 9:30pm we still had no food. At some point when it's been 40 minutes since you left the shop someone has to realize that this food is going to be horrible. All the woman on the phone kept saying was that "he was out". We only live 10 minutes away. We were promised a replacement at another time of the same order by way of an apology but we definitely will NOT ever be giving this place our money. We tried several menu items the other night, and were pretty pleased. Itemized reviews in descending order of satisfaction: CHICKEN FINGERS This is our main item of choice here. They have a honey mustard sauce that is great. Nice big fingers done perfectly, crispy outside, but chewy chicken inside. Good flavor. Any time I crave chicken fingers, they have to come from Tiny's. FRIES Everyone has a different kind of fries they like, and these were on the money for us. They were the kind in between steak fry size and shoestring size. ( They were NOT that batter-dipped crap they sell at a lot of other places now, thank you Fry Gods.) Most of our fries were nice and crispy from the fryer (as I love them), and only needed a little salt for a very satisfying experience; I would not taint them with ketchup. MUCH better than the fries at nearby, Pinocchio's, but not as good as the fresh cut ones at Buddy's. GYROS Perfect. Just as a gyro should be. Good spice on the meat (not overpowering), delicious sauce, fresh veggies. SALAD The large salad is a HUGE salad. My husband and I split it as a side. For ~$6 we got at least a full head of iceberg, a full small tomato, a handful of seedless Kalamata olives, and an s-load of Feta (basically a full package of the size they carry at Trader Joe's), plus a full hard boiled egg and some cucumbers. Personally, I'd have preferred more cucumbers and didn't need the tomatoes, but value-wise, it was more than worth the money. We got their house oil + vinegar dressing, which was good. This was definitely a satisfying Greek salad. My favorite in the area is at Minella's Diner in Wayne, which is owned by a Greek family and their salad is fabulous, made with gourmet art as far as I am concerned. So Tiny's is not quite the best, but they do a very good job of satisfying the craving of the taste, and the value is amazing for what you get. BURGER Their burgers are definitely decent, and toppings were really fresh, plus kaiser rolls are a good pairing for a standard burger. I can't say it was a super-memorable burger, but the value of the burger/fry combo (listed under "platters" in their menu) is a lot of food for the money, and will definitely satisfy your burger cravings. CHEESESTEAK This was our least favorite. The cheesesteak just wasn't very flavorful in the meat department and there wasn't as much cheese or as many onions as we'd have liked. It also needed salt, which is actually probably a good thing because a lot of places salt the heck out of takeout to make it taste better and leave you dehydrated the next morning, like a hangover. So we wouldn't go back for cheesesteaks, but the other items were hits. * * * * * Re: The OLD Tiny's... Another reviewer mentioned the old Tiny-T's Hoagie shop (from back in the 80's), and I have to say it was right on the money! Palmolive bottle? HA HA HA HA! YES! So true! I was crying, I was laughing so hard! YES! The sandwich guy was missing fingers, and as a small girl going there with my dad to pick up 30 of the $1 hoagies, for a family reunion, he would be furiously cutting meat to get the order done (because my stupid family would order an hour before they needed them, on a SATURDAY, and give poor Tiny's no notice -- this happened repeatedly too), and as he raced to finish, I was so scared he'd lose another finger. I think I saw a Julia Child skit on SNL around that time (Dan Akroyd in drag is "The French Chef," and cuts his finger off, with blood everywhere), and I must've blended the idea of the skit with that guy at the meat slicer. I was so afraid for him, but I remember being afraid OF him, which I guess kids tend to do in projection. Anyway, I remember there was 70's faux wood paneling everywhere and probably that orange countertop, and I swear the deli counter was up on a stage because looking up at the guys making sandwiches seemed so high to me, maybe because I was so young? Both the woman and man I spoke to would not do anything about it, other then told me to call back in an hour to talk to the manager. So they expect me to pay for it. i walked over to tiny's at lunch today with the intention of getting a greek salad as i often do. and by often, i mean about once a week. it's good stuff - HUGE and loaded with chunks of feta (no crumbles here!) as well as olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers and an entire hard boiled egg with a homemade oil & vinegar dressing. but i didn't order it today. nope. i was cold and in need of something warm. see, come summertime, i work in an igloo. in the winter, when i am properly dressed in warm layers, it's an oven in my office, yet in the summer months, my tank tops and sundresses, perfect for the warmth outside, are simply not enough to bear the frigid temps of the company-controlled AC. BRRRR!! tiny's soup du jour was not french onion (theirs is tasty) and i wasn't really feeling an egg & cheese sammie. so i asked maria, the friendly counter lady/owner, if i could get a grilled veggie sandwich which is not listed on their extensive menu. she smiled and said "of course!" then asked me if there were any veggies i didn't like (no) and if i wanted cheese & sauce (yes, please!). ten minutes later i came back to pick up my piping hot vegetable parmesan hoagie which, much like their greek salad, was HUGE and cost a mere $3.75! (the salad is more like $6) needless to say, i was already stoked based on appearance and price alone, and to top it off, it was delicious! seriously, my coworkers were all jealous as i sat nom-nom-nom-ing at my desk, the aroma of marinara wafting through the chilly air. the veggies were tender, the cheese plentiful & gooey...if anything, my only complaint was that the bread got a bit soggy, but eh, i've had worse and it's to be expected with so much sauce & cheese. once i was all finished, i called maria to tell her how much i loved my sandwich (i'm nice like that), and let her know to be expecting many more orders for these bad boys. as i said before, their menu is quite extensive (i suppose standard for a greek deli), even including pizza in both personal size as well as large pies. they have mostly meat offerings, but plenty of veggie eats to keep me happy, as well as sodas, juices, chips, desserts, the daily paper and cigs for those who are so inclined (not i). best of all, everything comes served with a smile :) read more

We ordered a couple of cheesesteaks, an Italian hoagie and an order of cheese fries. I would classify the cheesesteaks as ordinary but my wife really enjoyed the Italian hoagie. The cheese fries were fair, fries with plenty of whiz on the side. The order was processed fairly quickly and the staff was pleasant both on the phone and in the "shoppe". Remember a 3 star Yelp review is defined as "A-Ok". We would certainly be open to returning to Tiny Hoagie. read more
