We wanted some coffee and found this cafe. The outside is charming. The inside is a little crowded - ok a lot crowded - but thankfully there were only a few others inside when we were ordering. The people were helpful. The cappuccino was stellar. The pastry.. not so much. Sitting outside and enjoying the ambience was worth it.

We have been to this delightful cafe year after year and were a bit sad when we saw the name change. But we had to check it out before passing judgement, and we were so pleasantly surprised!! Not only have the delicious coffee expectations kept up to standards, but may even have improved! We got house coffee without cream and both loved it! So tastey! We also got sandwiches. My husband got the buffalo chicken sandwich and loved how spicy and fresh it was! I got the BLT special and LOVED it! It was so crisp, fresh, and flavorful! The ambiance and atmosphere is wonderful! One of my least favorite things about the last place was that you couldn't get on WiFi. Now, they have WiFi, which makes it a much more viable hangout! Great coffee, food, atmosphere, and friendly staff: what more could you want? We look forward to returning to this cafe long into the future! P.S. Thanks for being open on New Year's Day! Happy 2020!

Most of the good reviews are from when this place was Seven Stones Cafe. It's had new owners for a little over a year and is now called Cafe Isla. Oh how I miss my 40 plus days a year sitting outside with a great coffee or latte and a pastry. No one of course like changes but I've been patient for about 11 months in hoping Café Isla would improve. Today was my 7th visit in a year( way down from 40). They say that's WiFi but it doesn't connect. The playlist although really good is too loud outside for you to be able to converse with your dining partner if you sit at any of the 3 tables near the building. These empty tables were never empty under previous ownership Inside The guy behind the counter had to ask me to repeat my order. My Irish Latte was barely warm not hot today. How does that happen? He handed it to me when I was in line. My muffin was dry and stale. I guess you get whatever is leftover from Friday on a Monday morning??? I guess I'll be back to just grab a coffee to go sometime but since it's worse than last time I can tell you it's only going to be occasionally. And I'll ask them to ensure my hot beverage is indeed hot. And I'll skip the muffins

Came here after a three-year hiatus since we moved to New Hampshire. The name is changed. The staff, menu, ambiance, and vibe is as good or better than before. There are a few more outside tables for the large crowds and several more umbrellas. Other than that, it's a Media institution. We got here on Memorial Day on a whirlwind trip but we had enough time to see the Media Memorial Day parade and we came over a couple of hours before to have brunch at the old Seven Stones, now Isla. My husband and sister had delicious quiches and I had the Power Protein Breakfast Sandwich, a multigrain bagel with egg whites, tomatoes, and spinach. And on top, I ordered a slice of lox. I added a dash of salt and a squirt of Tabasco and had it with my regular large almond milk latte, this time with LaColombe coffee. As usual, it was an amazing brunch with al fresco seats, people watching, enjoying a delicious Spring day and waiting for the parade.

Tried this place out on a chilly day. I appreciated the seating outside in the courtyard. I got the recommended Harmony drink which is basically a dirty chai with vanilla and cinnamon. Also got a piece of the flourless chocolate cake. I like the combination of the two together. Each by themselves I don't think I would do again. Outdoor seating, no indoor. Nice staff.

Nice chic cafe shop located in the heart of Media. It's a small place with unique coffee options. They have a small sit down area. I did not see table service, so I guess you order and then seat yourself. There was a small area in the front outside where you can enjoy the sunshine during warm weather. We had 'Harmony Latte' and 'Black and white' coffee. My latte was sweet with a hint of cinnamon flavor and smell. It tasted very well for an evening drink. My wife ordered Black and white which basically was hot chocolate with coffee. But it was very sweet. So, didnt enjoy that much. The place was reasonably full on Sunday evening. They had other baked options which I found a bit expensive. Overall, nice place to have coffee.

We stopped into this café after grabbing some breakfast on the street and needing a little more caffeine for the road. What we found was a very cute local spot that is serving up some great drinks. Two of us ended up with a harmony latte, and while I don't remember exactly what was in it, I remember how delicious it was! It was of sort of beverage that you make everyone around you try because it's so good. My best half had some sort of a latte that infused a red tea into it and it too was pretty amazing. There is seating for probably 30 people in a room just off the main coffee bar and there is a courtyard just outside. The whole place just screams of relaxing, catching up and enjoying something delicious. We were super full by the time we got here, but everything food wise looked amazing and if the quality of the beverages is any indication, I suspect that it's doing just fine! Great spot, great beverages, this is the place you should definitely try.

Really nice local coffee cafe in Media. My GPS had a hard time finding it as it's on Plum Street, but it's the part of Plum that's for pedestrians only. It's very close to the Olive Street lot by the courthouse. I was extremely lucky to visit on a nice day and grab a table outside. I had the Irish potato latte and an almond crossant. The cafe seemed to be very popular, which always makes me happy to see small businesses doing well.

It's the perfect backdrop for reuniting with old friends over laughs and stories, or bumping into locals I haven't seen since my younger (more rowdier) days. The vibe is warm, welcoming, and quintessentially Media - right at the Orange Street corner of the iconic Media Courthouse. Jeez, jury duty must suddenly feel like a blessing when you can pop over for a midday lunch break! Now, let's talk food - Does Rivalry deliver! Their fresh hand made crab cakes are the best this side of Maryland: juicy, flavorful lumps of crab with just the right crisp, no filler nonsense. Paired with their other tasty dishes - think fresh salads, hearty sandwiches, and soups that never miss - every item on the menu is a hit. I've yet to try something that didn't leave me with a smile. The portions are generous, the service is friendly, and the prices feel like a steal for the quality. Make no mistake ALL made fresh. If you're in or near Media, do yourself a favor and make Rivalry your next stop. Whether you're a local, a visitor, or just fulfilling your civic duty nearby , this spot turns any occasion into a memorable one. Five stars all the way - can't wait for my next visit!

Originally the search was for a place that we had assumed was in…read moreNewtown Square, but was actually in Newtown; much too far to go to for an impromptu breakfast unless we were prepared for a small trip. However, this is the circumstances that led me to Rolling Stars. Not knowing what to expect whatsoever, except that I read that they served bagels, I was blown away by the offerings and the quality of everything they have, and will definitely be coming back to try some other menu items in the near future! Not only do they make almost everything from scratch, homemade here, with the bagels obviously being their signature item, everything is fresh, bold and wonderful. They even have a daily soup that is prepared by hand, that is available all day long, even for breakfast. If you've read any of my other reviews, you know that this is a game changer for me. Their coffee drinks are very good, and while not the best I have had, they are fun, tasty and they will make special additions simply if you've ask. In my case I ordered a simple cappuccino but they added little heart sprinkles for Valentine's Day since it is upcoming, even though the drink doesn't have them. The biggest problem I had was trying to decide what to actually choose from the menu because I was faced with way too many options that I wanted. I ultimately went with "the Bella", a portobello sandwich, which comes on your choice of bread, or any of their bagels, of which I chose the egg everything. Within a few bites I knew that this was easily within the top three bagel sandwiches I had ever had, and I am very critical of bagels and have had a TON of bagels and bagel sandwiches, coming from a kosher deli family. I also had the soup of the day which was a brilliant chicken noodle with awesome large macaroni elbows that just totally kicked it up. In our entire visit we only encountered one thing that was bothersome and it wasn't with my food but with our table's, and this was likely due to expectations. The jalapeño cheddar bagel is simply a plain bagel with a slice of cheddar and diced jalapeños on top. Now it was still outstandingly delicious, but I feel like we were under the impression it would be cooked into the dough and the entirety of the bagel. This wasn't the case and I can't knock them for it because it was still fantastic; aesthetics be damned! You should definitely visit here if you have not been here yet, and I can guarantee you will be coming back again and again. I cannot wait to go back, and I didn't even touch on the crazy awesome bagel chips that come with nearly everything!
