We had a great experience here today! This is a super cute cafe in Media on a stone street. There seems to be outside seating for the warmer weather! There was some seating inside as well so we were able to sit and enjoy our lattes. We tried the milk way, the friends and neighbors, and the nutcracker. Along with the fun names, the drinks were delicious. Very sweet, but not overly so. We really liked how the inside was decorated, and if we hadn't just come from brunch we would've wanted to try some of their snacks/pastries. The staff were polite and our drinks came out quickly. The coffee here is nothing short of perfect--rich in flavor and far better than any other place I've been. The service is incredible; the staff are true "people people." We have been to this delightful cafe year after year and were a bit sad when we saw the name change. But we had to check it out before passing judgement, and we were so pleasantly surprised!! Not only have the delicious coffee expectations kept up to standards, but may even have improved! We got house coffee without cream and both loved it! So tastey! We also got sandwiches. My husband got the buffalo chicken sandwich and loved how spicy and fresh it was! I got the BLT special and LOVED it! It was so crisp, fresh, and flavorful! The ambiance and atmosphere is wonderful! One of my least favorite things about the last place was that you couldn't get on WiFi. Now, they have WiFi, which makes it a much more viable hangout! Great coffee, food, atmosphere, and friendly staff: what more could you want? We look forward to returning to this cafe long into the future! P.S. Thanks for being open on New Year's Day! Most of the good reviews are from when this place was Seven Stones Cafe. It's had new owners for a little over a year and is now called Cafe Isla. Oh how I miss my 40 plus days a year sitting outside with a great coffee or latte and a pastry. No one of course like changes but I've been patient for about 11 months in hoping Café Isla would improve. Today was my 7th visit in a year( way down from 40). They say that's WiFi but it doesn't connect. The playlist although really good is too loud outside for you to be able to converse with your dining partner if you sit at any of the 3 tables near the building. These empty tables were never empty under previous ownership Inside The guy behind the counter had to ask me to repeat my order. My Irish Latte was barely warm not hot today. How does that happen? He handed it to me when I was in line. My muffin was dry and stale. I guess you get whatever is leftover from Friday on a Monday morning??? I guess I'll be back to just grab a coffee to go sometime but since it's worse than last time I can tell you it's only going to be occasionally. Came here after a three-year hiatus since we moved to New Hampshire. The name is changed. The staff, menu, ambiance, and vibe is as good or better than before. There are a few more outside tables for the large crowds and several more umbrellas. Other than that, it's a Media institution. We got here on Memorial Day on a whirlwind trip but we had enough time to see the Media Memorial Day parade and we came over a couple of hours before to have brunch at the old Seven Stones, now Isla. My husband and sister had delicious quiches and I had the Power Protein Breakfast Sandwich, a multigrain bagel with egg whites, tomatoes, and spinach. And on top, I ordered a slice of lox. I added a dash of salt and a squirt of Tabasco and had it with my regular large almond milk latte, this time with LaColombe coffee. As usual, it was an amazing brunch with al fresco seats, people watching, enjoying a delicious Spring day and waiting for the parade. read more

Tried this place out on a chilly day. I appreciated the seating outside in the courtyard. I got the recommended Harmony drink which is basically a dirty chai with vanilla and cinnamon. Also got a piece of the flourless chocolate cake. I like the combination of the two together. Each by themselves I don't think I would do again. Outdoor seating, no indoor. Nice staff. read more

Nice chic cafe shop located in the heart of Media. It's a small place with unique coffee options. They have a small sit down area. I did not see table service, so I guess you order and then seat yourself. There was a small area in the front outside where you can enjoy the sunshine during warm weather. We had 'Harmony Latte' and 'Black and white' coffee. My latte was sweet with a hint of cinnamon flavor and smell. It tasted very well for an evening drink. My wife ordered Black and white which basically was hot chocolate with coffee. But it was very sweet. So, didnt enjoy that much. The place was reasonably full on Sunday evening. We stopped into this café after grabbing some breakfast on the street and needing a little more caffeine for the road. What we found was a very cute local spot that is serving up some great drinks. Two of us ended up with a harmony latte, and while I don't remember exactly what was in it, I remember how delicious it was! It was of sort of beverage that you make everyone around you try because it's so good. My best half had some sort of a latte that infused a red tea into it and it too was pretty amazing. There is seating for probably 30 people in a room just off the main coffee bar and there is a courtyard just outside. The whole place just screams of relaxing, catching up and enjoying something delicious. We were super full by the time we got here, but everything food wise looked amazing and if the quality of the beverages is any indication, I suspect that it's doing just fine! Great spot, great beverages, this is the place you should definitely try. read more

Really nice local coffee cafe in Media. My GPS had a hard time finding it as it's on Plum Street, but it's the part of Plum that's for pedestrians only. It's very close to the Olive Street lot by the courthouse. I was extremely lucky to visit on a nice day and grab a table outside. I had the Irish potato latte and an almond crossant. The cafe seemed to be very popular, which always makes me happy to see small businesses doing well. read more

What a sweet cafe! And I mean that literally. They have too many pretty lookin' desserts on display in their front case. Congrats to them on successfully emptying my wallet. I stopped in on Saturday for a late lunch. They had a chicken salad option (always happy to see that on menus!), but it came on walnut bread by default. I asked if other bread options were available and a bagel was one of the suggestions. I thought that sounded fun, so I chose that and added cheddar cheese into the mix. While ordering, I also requested a pumpkin spice latte because I really can't remember if I've had one in the past or not, and figured it was a right of passage of being a human sooo. Once ready (didn't take too long), a staff member brought the sandwich to a table (and I followed, as I had just received my latte). Both items were stellar and succeeded in satiating my grumpy-I-haven't-eaten-yet-give-me-food attitude. On the way out, I purchased: two macarons, a gingerbread cookie shaped like a pumpkin, a double chocolate giant cookie, two pumpkin cookies covered in brown sugar icing, a slice of lemon loaf cake, and...I think that might be everything? What a great little place. A nice quaint little shop with good service. Randomly stopped in with my 16 year old daughter for breakfast and we were both pleasantly surprised. We love Seven Stones Cafe. If they ever left Media, I just don't know what I would do. I'm here often for breakfast, lunch, and take home dinner. The people working are so kind and sweet. The food is delicious and so are the drinks. Some of my favorites: the red tea latte, the seasonal lattes (always changing) and the herbal iced teas in the summertime. They use La Colombe coffee, and they have the Cold La Colombe draft. The food is always fresh and the soups are delicious and change daily. I love the paninis and the cold sandwiches-- especially the vegan wrap, black bean burger, and the Sweet and Savory. For breakfast I like the Santa Fe egg sandwich as a wrap. They have a well-stocked grab and go beverage fridge that includes great coconut waters and kombucha. I love eating outside when the weather allows. Just a sweet, soulful place. read more

Wish I could give this zero stars. HORRIBLE service. I cried after it was so bad. I don't even know what to say, I don't complain or write bad reviews. To start, we walked in and there is no glass covering the food in the case, and a quiche was just sitting out on top. I asked what flavor it was and got a "bacon maybe I don't know." Ok whatever, it was sitting out on a 90 degree so not that interested anyway, so I get a donut. I order my matcha and the blonde girl at the register is super nice, the credit card machine needs to be restarted and we are like that's totally fine and they thank us and we pay later, no problems there... then I get my iced matcha, and it was a cup of milk with a sprinkle of matcha... usually I would bite my tongue and just drink it, but after a few glasses of wine last night and again it was 90 degrees out, I was not willing to brave drinking a cup of milk. I told the blonde server that it wasn't very strong and mostly tasted like milk and apologized for being I convenient, and she was really nice about it... we wait a few more minutes (after waiting over 10 in the first place) and the girl with dark hair (sorry I didn't get names and I would like it well known that the blonde girl helping us was very nice), comes over and starts yelling that I need to pay for a new drink and that no one else has ever complained and she always makes it that way and keeps going on. I was stunned because she started coming at me and I was ready to ask them to replace it with a simple iced coffee, but it was pretty obvious this girl would have spit in my drink. After she kept yelling at me she said more matcha powder is extra, which I told her if you hadn't spoken to me like that this would be different, and I would have just paid for an extra scoop of matcha if she had nicely said that to me. Mind you my infant daughter is in a stroller next to me so I'm trying not to lose my cool, I tell her I don't even want it (which she had already thrown it away so I didn't have the option) and left, and she gave a loud "byeeee!". I went outside and cried I was so overwhelmed. I have never been so embarrassed like that when I'm just trying to get breakfast. I took one bite of the donut outside and the donut was awful. My friend threw her donut and drink away and we went somewhere else. Just save yourself the trip and go elsewhere. Downside is on several occasions the barista made my Chai Tea with whole milk instead of soy and I'm vegan. I was not a happy customer!!! All employees need to be more attentive to customers instead of chatting with other employees about their personal business which is frequent. What a cute little place. A friend and I came in here for breakfast last week and I was pleasantly surprised. There is a wide selection of baked goods in the case by the register when you walk in, and there are lots of coffee and tea options as well. Their breakfast was vast when you consider the size of the place. My friend got the quiche with a side salad and I got a lox bagel. You order at the register and then when you find a place to sit a staff member brings your food to you. The food was alright, nothing spectacular, but it hit the breakfast spot. The ambiance was cute and casual, and it was nice to just sit and chat for a little while. As other reviewers have said, they have a large outdoor seating area as well, so that's something to check out in the nicer months. Good spot! read more

My oldest daughter is smitten with this place, so we stopped in for a quick lunch a few days ago... It is indeed a cute little place with nice art/decor and I could tell by the crowd that it was quite popular. However, I wasn't overly impressed with the offerings on the menu but I guess it just isn't my type of food... I had the sweet and savory sandwich which was okay, and my younger daughter had one of the specials but complained that she had a hard time biting into the bread. And it was a bit pricey in my opinion. Anyway, we thought it was just so-so. I would go there again if my daughter wants to, but it would really only be to please her. Had some time recently to just sit here and enjoy breakfast. I love the outdoor patio. Good setup they have there. Quality of the food is decent. I've had better breakfast sandwiches as the eggs here seemed microwaved. You can't beat what they're serving just around the corner here, and that's a shame. But it was good enough for me to devour. The coffee is excellent, and the apple cake I sampled is close to addictive. So that made me a fan. read more
