Egg choices offered were only fried or scrambled. Bacon was well crisped. Pancakes were good enough. Small cubed potatoes, southwestern style with red onions and green and red peppers, were well crisped and very nice. Coffee was delicious. Quality food products and casual calm venue. I tried to come in Tuesday 8 AM and the place was closed even though their hours were 7-3 pm that day on the door and online. I figured I'd try Sat morning and they were open but no mile high du jour. I am being a bit picky because not as many specialty items are available now with all the craziness of 2020 and shipping and delivery issues. While this specialty item is on their website, it was not posted in the cafe appropriately so. It was still a slight disappointment nonetheless. Probably 4 star experience for most people. The vibes I got personally were a bit different for me for this experience. This cafe is connected with Di Fabio's and I tried to call them Tuesday morning/afternoon . Left a VM and never heard back through Sat. In-person, they told me they aren't open Tuesdays now or possibly later (at random implied). They indicated that they still need to update their opening sign on the doors. :/ Their seafood soup special isn't overly soupy and filled with good content. It didn't stand out for me being the casual foodie critic I am but it certainly did not disappoint. They also have shirts, assorted bakery, and bottles and a few drink machines w levers (punch or lemonade today). My receipt for take out items was thrown away and I didn't want to ask for receipt since it was already thrown away. I like to keep track of my purchases more astutely and there wasn't emailed receipts either. Parent store DiFabio's has some famed pistachio chicken fingers. Both iced lattes were super watery. Not good. Also specifically asked for 16 Oz lattes and got 20oz lattes and was charged for 20oz. They forgot what I ordered so I had to remind them. Inside seating is dark. Outside seating is better if the weather is nice. Basic Breakfast sandwich is more expensive than other places and not worth it.never coming back. I have to say right off the bat that when I saw a pork roll, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel was $7, my first thought was that it was a little high. Then I saw it in my hands. It's freakin huge and full of eggs. While the bagel might not be on the level of a place that specializes in bagels, it's pretty good for this. And in the end, everything came together in a really damn good sandwich. Yeah. In the end it's worth the price. I was won over. I saw some bacon, egg, and cheese scones on the counter. I ran into the Media Bean because I needed to hop on a work call, and I was STARVING. This seemed like a win-win. I ordered a cubano and a cup of coffee, and hopped on my call. The coffee was solid, the wifi worked great... things were looking up. Until... They brought out my sandwich. I picked on the chips until I could go off camera to eat. The chips were great! I took a bite and almost got sick. The sandwich was DISGUSTING. Gristle, sour, worst flavor combo... I pulled the meat out and pretty much ate the bread because I was so hungry and now I deeply regret that $13 decision. Then... they closed. I had been there about 25 minutes before they turned off the lights on me and shooed me out the door while I was leading a meeting. Camera open, I had to pack my things up and sit outside to finish up my call. I NEVER would have ordered a sandwich and a coffee if I didn't even have 30 minutes to eat it. They never mentioned that they'd be closing soon. So I sat outside for 15 minutes on a 35 degree day leading a call on zoom amongst my colleagues. If this was my goal, I would have just taken the call from the car. Hard pass on this place. Won't be returning. read more

The food, chef, and staff are excellent and friendly! HOWEVER, I'm giving it 1- star because unless you want to eat your breakfast or lunch while sitting in an oven, you wouldn't be able to spend more than a few minutes in the place! It is soooooo hot and clearly, other customers and employees are more than uncomfortable. How this owner treats his people is disgusting and doesn't even care enough about his bottom line to keep the place air conditioned for the customers. This little cafe is nothing short of ADORABLE. A once very "friends" type of coffee house under the previous owner, has been transformed into a bright, thoughtfully curated design, featuring old French country motifs in the chandeliers and antique furniture pieces. The breakfast sandwiches are VERY tasty, the coffee is great, and the staff is so incredibly sweet and helpful. Top-notch spot, I'll be coming back frequently! read more

What a great little spot. Really fresh , well prepared food! Had an absolutely delicious turkey sandwich for lunch here today. Second time I've had food from the bean and it is positively going into my regular rotation. From the really crunchy perfectly salted homemade chips on the side, to the clearly superior sliced turkey with garlic aioli, to the really fresh ciabatta which was soft but ultimately crispy on the outside I'm impressed by a turkey sandwich...not something I'd usually expect myself to say. On top of that, they are super nice in there and make me feel like I'm at home when i stop in! Gotta try their breakfast and other lunch options for sure now. I was hoping this could be my new local spot but I don't know if I will go back. I got a sausage breakfast sandwich which was pretty delicious. The Lattes we got were pretty bad but the worst part was the açaí bowl. When it came out it was soup consistency. The staff clearly did not know how to make one and should have known not to serve something like that. We did not complain just wanted to get out of there. My husband took it home and put it in the freezer and said it was not half bad. For the price I expected more, even if I was done right it only came with a small amount of granola. Where is the fruit? If you can't do an açaí bowl right don't offer it, they are pretty easy to make. The sandwich was the saving grace. read more

Both vanilla and caramel lattes hit the spot and my friend raves about the Jamaican Me Crazy coffee. She said it has a caramel, cognac, vanilla flavor. I'm genuinely confused by the very positive reviews on here. I rarely give less than a 4 or 5 star review, but this was a poor experience from start to finish. My husband's coffee ($4.50) was no better than a cheap gas station coffee, and my pumpkin iced latte ($5) tasted like watered down, stale iced coffee. I even asked if it was indeed a latte and explained it tasted wrong, and the response was simply "yes, sorry." We drank maybe 10% of each before dumping them out and getting coffee elsewhere. The food was mediocre - the feta in the Greek omelette tasted rubbery. The beignets were decent - though the dough was too thick (more like a funnel cake donut than a lighter, fluffier beignet). The dipping sauce was good. The environment is nice - indoor space is pretty and there are shaded outdoor tables. In general, I wouldn't return. read more

For the first time, I visited downtown Media. I stopped here for lunch because of the Yelp reviews, and they employee people with disabilities. I ask the nice bearded person (the owner?) what is the best menu choice, and he said the turkey sandwich. I ordered this. It was so good, and the bread was tasty. Upon paying for the lunch, I bought a pretzel to go. It was tasty, too!! I would go here again, order lunch and buy all of the pretzels. read more

Upon my arrival the owner was very friendly and welcoming! He described how the shop uses locally sourced veggies and they make their own bread, baked goods, and smoked meat (plus more!). I had the chicken salad sandwich on focaccia and it was really delicious!! I could only finish half of it because the portion was so large. I highly recommend it. Good news! Media Bean Company now brings their fabulous breads, pies, FOCCACIA PIZZA ($4 a slice and worth every penny) and artesanal baked good to the Media Farmers Market on Sundays from 9 AM - 1 PM. We just love that pizza - especially the kind with fresh mozzarella, fresh basil (with or without a balsamic drizzle). My 13 year old gets 2 slices to go from the market and they are usually mostly gone by the time we drive home. Soooooo delicious - and supports working people with disabilities. Stopped by for coffee. Ordered a vanilla latte and one of their bakery delights. I forgot what the name was but it was hexagon shaped filled with vanilla bavarian cream and they also had a chocolate one. The latte was perfect I didn't need to add anything to it and the pastry was dreamy. The staff was friendly and answered my questions. They had limited outdoor seating but they are moving to Newtown Square in September I believe. For the pastry alone I would definitely come back. read more

I love this place. They have a great ethic. They have great coffee (I like. Mine hot and straight up black). And the have great food. They make a fantastic brisket sandwich, which is more like pastrami. I go to get my nails done with my sister down the street every few weeks, and we always stop here afterwards so I can get my brisket fix. I save half the sandwich for my husband. I love this place.
