Early on a Sunday morning (8:30/9) there was plenty of seating available and no wait. Friendly faces greeted and sat us immediately. Our drinks in nice BIG mugs were on the table even before we could decide what to order. For me the Buffalo chicken sandwich on special caught my eye and I was sweating by the end of it. Great flavor, good heat, chicken extending far past the bun a win for me. For him, not so much. His omelet was on the small side, and favors were lacking. His side of scrapple thin - his toast unbuttered. Nothing worthy of complaining or sending back but definitely not like omelettes that we are used to getting. I would give The Kettle a solid 3.5 for the friendly service, comfortable atmosphere, and the chicken sandwich. Perhaps when in the area again we may stop back for another try

I was born with an intermittent fasting stomach; I've never been a breakfast-eater and brunch is gross to me! I mention this because I've never taken my son out for breakfast foods so it was great to have this experience. My little one had a HUGE "Go Go Bananas" It said it was "hot cakes stuffed with Bananas" but they were just plain. It mentioned caramel on top which wasn't there (they subbed syrup without asking); frustrating and unprofessional. It also had a slice of poundcake French Toast topped with grilled bananas, and then banana French Toast with granola. It was a decadent treat of gluten and sugar that we don't normally eat at home. My son was really happy. My burger was okay but not memorable, and the fries were that awful batter-dipped cheap kind that I don't eat and they just made the whole thing "mid" as the kids say. Service was very very slow per the crowd and it being the end of the shift. Our server was cheerful and I told her to take her time, but I didn't realize we'd be left waiting forever for water refills, 30min for food (kitchen's fault), and at least 10min after asking for check. I still tipped well over 20% but their staff seems too spent and overwhelmed from the crazy crowds that are so unusual this time of year. In summary, it was great for decadent breakfast foods, diner-quality for my burger, and while I understand how taxed our server was, the service really dragged. I had seen reviews commenting on the wait but do beware that it's still suuuper bad apparently at all times of their hours, and even random weekdays when people are enduring their Trump staycations. I rate it a 3 but my son was so happy with his food so I rounded up.
