This is the first place I've ever walked out of after having appetizers. I was really excited to have dinner here based on the reviews. The service was really terrible. When I walked in for a table, it seemed like I was inconveniencing the waitress and bartender even though we were the only table there. The appetizer I ordered was OK and there was a bug in my drink. If the staff was less stand offish and the app wasn't dry, I would've at least tried the dinner. Will not be returning. :( read more

Friday night. Out of many things on the menu. The food we received was way overcooked, like the wings. The potato bits were overcooked, and the bacon was on the verge of being spoiled, but it was also overcooked. The waitress was not particularly attentive, but she was nice. The drink at the bar was ordered, but they let us know they didn't have enough to fill a full glass. This is a neighborhood gem. There's parking behind the restaurant. There's outside seating in good weather. The interior has a great vibe. Better than expected. Honestly didn't expect much, it's a bar in an out of the way suburb. But the food and service were fantastic for a late afternoon lunch with my dad (85). The roast beef sandwich was tasty, flavorful, a good portion. My dad's burger was charred just right and also more than he could eat. I was really looking forward to trying this place out. They open at 12. I walked in with my family of 4 at 12:15, but was told the kitchen doesn't open until 1. This review is long overdue. We held our daughter's high school graduation party here and everything was fantastic. The food, service, staff, decor, it all worked perfectly. We still get nice feedback from people who attended the party back in April 23'. We had the place to ourselves from 12-3 on a Saturday for a very reasonable price. My wife and I go here a few times a month for dinner and happy hour. I have never had a bad meal. We love the roast beef, burgers, Brussels sprouts, wings, pizza and fries. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong. The bartenders are friendly, attentive and make a solid drink. They typically have a pretty diverse beer selection. I recommend the Dewey swishy pants hazy ipa. You will be handed a menu and cocktail and beer list when you sit down. If you are in the surrounding area it is worth checking out. The bar and dining room are not huge, which I like. The place holds about 90 people. If I have to say one weak spot, I would go with the parking. There is a small lot and the overflow parks across the street in the neighborhood. That is a minor inconvenience in my opinion. In the end, I am happy to finally have a bar in Broomall that we can now call our "local spot". It is quickly turning into our favorite hang out. See you there, cheers! read more

My wife found this place and took me there to celebrate. It was nicely laid out and offered outdoor seating, nice ambiance. We were greeted as soon as we walked in even with the employee being busy. The bartender provided menus and was patient with us working through it and also gave us recommendations, but saying how alot of the food was good. The old fashioned I thought was pretty good and the blueberry martini is good. We ended up getting the wings and had them made with garlic parm and Buffalo, which were amazing.....that is the only way you should get them. The Brussel sprouts were also really good, they could have used a little salt but I also realize the dish was supposed to have nuts but I am allergic so I am sure that would have filled the void. We decided to go in with the pizza and that was amazing. The bread was fresh and amazing, while the cheese and topings were fresh also. It was a great experience and we couldn't stop eating. Yes! Beautiful rustic decor. Great drink specials. The drafts are cold and they pour a deep spirit. The food is tasty. The only blemish is the Big Daddy burger which used to be a smash burger. Instead of caramelized crust and onion it's now just a flat top patty with little flavor. The servers are confused about this too because they won't take a temp on the burger, they still claim it's a smash burger. Salads are great and the pizza is good. Excellent servers. Their sister restaurant, Delco Steaks and fifty yards away, makes a better and cheaper burger. read more

I thought the Marple Public House was great. I was having lunch with one of my best friends who lives in Broomall and she suggested this place. She also suggested the fried chicken sandwich and I'm really glad she did because it was pretty amazing - a large super crispy and juicy chicken breast on a toasty potato roll with a yummy dill pickle slaw. SOOOO good! They don't have a real extensive menu, but hallelujah, their choices are not the typical fare you usually see on menus in Delco and that makes me happy. I definitely want to go back and try the Big Daddy Burger and a couple of their pizzas which sound absolutely fabulous. Will be going back very soon! read more

Hidden Gem in Broomall! We went here following a subsequent dinner outside and I was still hungry. We just got appetizers but they were amazing. We will definitely be coming back for entrees. We had the fries, brussel sprouts and burrata. These were all so filling! The burrata was complimented with a bacon/fried porkbelly pieces, walnuts, jam, and balsamic glaze. Each bite was complimented beautifully with the condiments of the burrata. The brussel sprouts and I believe it had a fish sauce glaze, yes, fish sauce glaze with goat cheese I believe on top was to die for. Best brussel sprouts ever! The fries you can get loaded with crab, but we opted for plain fries and they were crunchy but just a tad too salty. Overall great experience. For drinks, my husband got a beer and I got the Marple Tea. Would highly recommend it. It was not too strong and had enough liquor for me for the night. Pretty ambiance. They were out for a lot of food and it was about 6:00 p.m. when I was there. Friend had shrimp added to her salad and the shrimp were gray in color. Drinks were watery. Great when it first opened. Needs work to get back to that spot. Put more variety in the menu and the bartenders need training. Good service though. read more

Not sure whom all posted positive reviews but I recently had lunch there and it was probably the worst meal I've had in along time , by far!! French onion soup had totally burned layer of what may have been cheddar cheese - soup was ok but nothing the least bit good. Followed by a roast beef dip of some sort - roll ok and then went down hill fast! Meat was tough and au jus was necessary to get the sandwich down - ran out of au jus and that was it ! Club soda was good and place inside was nice but "can't judge a book by its cover" in this case. Highly don't recommend . read more

This has become one of my favorite local places to grab a brew and very good pub food. As Marple's only bar, this place is long overdue and they deliver in a big way. They have a nice menu of good regular/craft beer, wine and well poured drinks. The food is also very good but to be honest my experience is limited because I'm hooked on the crab fries (not just seasoning ... real crab), wings that are a healthy size and very tasty and the old fashioned roast beef sandwich - which is great. read more

Found out this place was opening up so we checked it out. Only the third day in business but there is a ton of potential here. I had the pomegranate margarita, which was refreshing but could've been a bit more flavorful, and the marple pizza, which was good but needed maybe a bit more blue cheese to add that next level flavor. The general manager Matthew came over to introduce himself, explain some of the new restaurant and what they plan to do in the near future. We explained some gluten free options moving forward would be great as my wife is gluten intolerant, and we were informed the menu should be expanding in September. I think this place is close to hitting a home run if it continues to ride its early momentum. The crowd, atmosphere and food all were great to start out. We just went here for the first time and will definitely be back. We ordered the Brussels sprouts (a unique blend of ingredients that tasted amazing), wings to share (we got 1/2 naked with garlic Parmesan sauce on the side and another 1/2 with the Buffalo sauce), and I got the Philly pulled pork sandwich - it had the right amount of spice with the long hots and horseradish). Our server Gail was amazing - we had a table of 9, which included 5 kids, and she was so good with them. The kids loved her too. Overcooked dry salty tough roast beef sandwich. Tasted terrible and extremely well done. I would not even feed it to my dog. Two bites and that was it. My wife had the pork sandwich which was extremely dry and greasy in which her stomach was upset till 4:30 am in the morning due to stomach pain from what she ate here. Fries were cold and too salty. I can salt my own food thank you. Service was slow and they definitely attend to the regulars first. Cannot say we were impressed. Music was loud. Parking was a pain. Will never be back here again. It's busy - but that is plenty of staff to handle it. So, what happens next? Nothing! The bar back is busy stocking glasses. The 3 bartenders are all congregated together at the far end of the bar, chatting with each other - not paying any attention to anything. I wait about 7 minutes and walk out. As I'm walking out, I notice the hostess is standing around chatting with a waitress at the door - what a shock. Lourie and the bartenders have always asked me what I want and service is great. Food and drinks are exceptional for the price, much better food than most pubs. Owner, Nick, is awesome dude and love what he's done with the place. I am a regular here once I turned 21 and grew up here. Glad someone took action to open up a local pub after so many years. If I could rate zero stars, I would. Went there last night. Was told they have a "limited menu", which consisted of fries, Caesar salad, nachos, wings, mozzarella sticks, and potato skins. Then we were told they were "out of fries". Also overheard they were out of red wine. We ordered two things off the very limited menu. Then we hear the bartender telling other patrons about the shrimp tacos, and another patron ordered (and was served) a roast beef sandwich. ??? I don't get it. I never would have ordered the horrible bar food in the first place if I would have known other people got special treatment. I will never come back here. Awful experience. read more

We visited for lunch on a Sunday: Our waitress was awesome, but we felt badly for her when she had to let us know that the food options were limited, because there was no chicken, no salads, and no beef! So we ordered from what was left available on the menu: my pizza would have been good if it had been cooked longer (a bit of raw dough), the rest of the table said that their food was fine. This had been my partner and I's favorite spot since we moved to broomall. Recently we stopped in to get our usual, and our favorites, the broccolini ceaser (something I loved especially because I'm a vegetarian and it's one of the few options on the menu), only to find out that it had been replaced by the ceaser salad. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement, the broccolini ceaser was such a unique item on the menu, and I was never disappointed (the croutons were so good, as was how it was all prepared). My partner and I both ordered the ceaser salad instead, and were also disappointed in how it turned out, croutons were average, and the dressing was barely there. We still enjoy the brussel sprouts, though it also seems that there is less given than when we were first ordering it. I know we won't be coming back as often, very sad. read more
