    Veggie eggs Benedict

An underrated spot for breakfast on the weekends. Good location for enjoying your meal outside and a good beer selection.

939th different cheesesteak eaten in the last 4 years. Guest Eater Amigo Dan. Joe was there for the drinks. I was a very very very good cheesesteak. It is made with sliced Rib Eye. The meat is amazing, tender, juicy and flavorful. It comes on a slightly toasted seeded roll. The roll holds up to a lot of juice. The cheese was melted on top very nicely. I would describe this as an elegant traditional cheesesteak. Great balance of flavors. It was very easy to eat. Our bartender, I'm 98% sure her name is Vicki (she's from Pittsburgh) was fabulous. The sweet potato tater tots were Super-freaking-amazingly-stupendous.

Decided to stop in for brunch today and had a great time. Great food, great service, and the perfect spot to hang out and see old friends. The eggs Benedict was fantastic, as were the breakfast sandwiches. They even had a gluten-free bun for my daughters sandwich that she really liked. I highly recommend this place and with such a diverse menu, there is something for everyone to enjoy! There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and you just can't beat the service. Will definitely be back.

Brunch was good. Nice beer selection and excellent Bloody Mary. Sever was very friendly and attentive.

The cheeseburger on the kids menu is half a pound?! Why are kids around here eating more beef in a sitting than my wife eats in a year? They must grow them big in West Chester, PA, because the joint down the street also serves the most gigantic pizzas I've ever seen. Massive Pennsylvanian children aside, Side Bar is a nice spot for a beer and a snack on a beautiful day. We sat on the street, drank ciders, beers, and cocktails, and watched the town beer crawl by (we just seemed to be here on the right day). We also indulged in a few tacos (both the pork and the chicken), and they weren't bad at all. I think you could do a lot worse in West Chester.

    Beef tips and octopus

We came here for dinner Friday night. It was beautiful out, so we wanted to sit outside and eat with the dog. First off, the low rating has nothing to do with the service. Everyone that waited on us and came around were absolutely the nicest and have always been, even when we come here for drinks. We got the octopus and beef tips as appetizers. The octopus completely lacked flavor, was very bland and chewy. Even after putting lemon and salt on it, it still wasn't worth continuing to eat. The beef tips were cooked to temperature perfectly, but also lacked that seasoning punch and tasted bland as well. The drinks are always good here. I enjoyed a cold brew coffee/liquor drink and my girlfriend got a perfectly made espresso martini. We split the pork sandwich as our main. It was tasty. I am a fan of spicy food, and this sandwich was VERY very spicy. I enjoyed it, but if you're not a fan of heat, pass on this sandwich. Overall, the experience ambiance at the restaurant was nice, but the food was lacking flavor. I'll come back here for drinks any day, but will pass on the food.

Came here for brunch today and it was very good. They had a nice pitcher of mimosa. Ordered the shaved ribeye and it was delicious. Very generous portions

Wonderful night with my husband! Ambiance was amazing! Food was delicious! Service was stellar! I'm not sure what to commend more the food or the service, so I'll spotlight both. We split 2 apps: scratch made pierogies were a comfort food gone gourmet, and seared scallops and shrimp were tasty and fresh in a savory tomato reduction topped with creamy goat cheese - mind blowingly delectable. We split an entree peppered steak topped with old bay lump crab meat, perfect fingerling potatoes and a fresh mixed green, tomato salad. Ended with a zingy "chocolate pudding shot" for dessert. -- Now if that's not enough for a 5review, let me add in Tatum! This ponytail wagging dynamo greeted and seated us. Then an understandable, yet uncomfortable wait ensued. We had taken in the spirit of al fresco dining in West Chester, politely observed passerby's but were feeling forgotten. Tatum revisited our table, apologized, brought water, drinks took our order, checked on us appropriate yet multiple times tending to our requests. She was also observed -solo-carrying tables and chair out for additional seating. We aren't sure if she was a hostess, server, manager, busser, food runner, but she did it all! Definitely a team player, pleasant, efficient, get the job done, woman of action!k

We were seated at exactly 4:30, and our server was friendly and fast. RJ and I ordered Downeast Peach Mango Cider which was refreshing and delicious. We started with crab and artichoke dip and beef and weck eggrolls, and our table ordered 2 fish and chips, the "Luxury" seafood pie, shepherd's pie, and the beef on weck sandwich. My weck included onions, mushrooms, swiss, and bacon with a side of au jus and horseradish. Yum, what a salty, savory, spicy combo. The roast beef was very tender and juicy. The fish and chips were all enjoyed, as were both pies. We did not make it to dessert but will try that again another time. We were in and out in about 1 hour without being rushed at all. We will definitely return to the Whip!
