Ambience - old world charm Decor - a wide array of "stuff". Sports to stain glass to........ Food - good but nothing seems to be made from scratch. My guess is most is frozen. Service - good, old school hospitality Noisy - can be a bit loud but remember it is a bar too! Open floor concept. Bar is off of dining room with no buffer to reduce sound.

I'm a regular customer at least once a week and refer a lot of people there. Daytime bartender on today does not provide the same service standards as all the others. He drops food and then goes out of sight to the back of the bar. This is every time he's on, it's a shame because the other bartenders make eye contact at least every few minutes. Bottle served with shredded foil around the entire lip of the bottle, I had to fold back especially since no offer of a glass. Out of town guests next to me commented on the inability to get his attention too. I sit along the bar that backs up to the dining room to be able to see the door.

Great place to grab a drink and some food before hitting the casino. Prices are very good and food is pretty tasty nothing to write home about but good. Definitely recommend to stop before stopping at your hotel. Extra points given because of the open 24 hours is awesome. Pretty big bar lots of seating inside.

Food: 3stars Ambiance and Service: 4stars Finally checked out this historic spot and it is very cool and enormous inside. I would highly recommend everyone grabbing a drink here to check out the cool vibes and decor. This place is huge with plenty of seating inside and outside. The outdoor patio is pretty spacious with a bar and some TVs. No real view of anything but parking garages, but they did a nice job making the patio itself welcoming. Our waitress Denise was very kind and shared the rich history of the pub. The bestsellers were apparently the corned beef special and fish and chips. The fish was good and I would recommend it. The corned beef special receives two thumbs down from me. Wet and weird tasting corned beef with the tiniest pinch of Russian dressing and coleslaw. It looked and tasted pretty sad. I ordered a blue moon and my bf was even convinced that it wasn't actually a blue moon. Maybe it was but they need to clean the line because it tasted off. I would 100% return for drinks but will be skipping the food.

    Salad yummy yum

7/10 It was classic nothing special if your doing takeout but the place had a lovely atmosphere and the servers were nice. The onion ring breading slipped right off but the sauce for the fries were delicious.

Nice little place with a rich history . If you're interested in their storied history just ask and they will give you the run down . Prices are super cheap for booze and it's a nice place to have a beer and maybe even a shot . Bartenders are very friendly . Cash only .

This is the bartender from hell. Rude, obnoxious. Will not be back

Food good service SUCKS, bartender rude with attitude. I'm from New York and I know busy bars. Friends had previously recommended the place, but one of my friends who went with me stated it was NEVER this bad. If I could give zero stars I would

**Be advised - They're CASH ONLY** Stopped in for drinks and an after-dinner snack. The place is definitely, noticeably iconic, with the newspapers plastered ceilings and memorabilia all over the walls. The bartenders seem pretty friendly and do an adequate job keeping up with patrons. Menu is interesting too. The place is old and dated and worn, but that's part of the charm. Definitely worth stopping in! Plus, after going, I read where they're in the top 25 bars in NJ... I can see why.

ATLANTIC CITY: The Irish Pub Atlantic City is famous, open 24 hours, and is dog friendly in the bar area for extremely well behaved dogs. The building has been through a lot of history since its opening in the 1800's and the pub came along in 1972. Being open 24 hours a day and located on St. James Place, a square on the Monopoly board game, along with a full bar and American food, and a truly unique interior space, this place is popular with locals and visitors alike! Leashed and friendly dogs are allowed in the bar area, with an emphasis on friendly. The tight spaces and popularity draw a lot of guests and they want everyone to be safe and happy. There is also an outdoor patio open in the summer. The staff is so friendly and shout out to Quinn and Angie who were wonderful to talk to and gave us other dog friendly tips nearby AC.

I've been to the Irish pub many times before, but I read online that they have some of the best Christmas decorations. So I was extremely excited to go visit it when we were in Atlantic City during Christmas time. If you haven't been to the Irish pub it is definitely a mass. The bartenders are very friendly and it has an old field to it. That is very cozy and comforting. I was extremely impressed with the Christmas decorations. They were everywhere and in every room and I absolutely loved it. This is a great place for families, couples and kids. We went on a Sunday afternoon and there was a limited menu. We ordered the corn beef sandwich which the corn beef was delicious. The only thing was that it was served cold. I wish that it was served warm. We sat at the bar. All of the bartenders are very attentive, and they have really good Guinness on tap which my husband appreciates. One thing to know is that it is cash only so make sure that you have cash with you. If you aren't staying at a hotel nearby, there is a free parking lot. We walked from Hard Rock and the walk was very easy. We will definitely be back next time. We're in the area and I can't wait to go back again at Christmas time.

This is a cute little hidden gem that used to be a speakeasy "back in the day"! Luis was fantastic and helped us in any way he could. He had escorted us in and was so respectful to mom and me, fitting to the establishment. Go, LUIS! (Owners, please give Luis a raise!) One unsatisfactory thing was our service in dining. Waitress with pink hoodie sweatshirt and blonde-ish hair brought food and drinks but then never followed up with us (the place wasn't busy by any means). We felt ignored. It maybe wouldn't have been an issue, except, after not following up with us, I saw her wait on other people who just came in, AFTER I'd seen her sit down down and socialize with some people instead of checking on mom and me. (I feared that my mom and I were ignored due to age (mom is 94 but still amazing and a very kind woman). I could be wrong, in my eyes, but ageism is as bad as racism. When I nicely asked the waitress why she had done that, she gave "pushback" and said that the people she sat and socialized with were the owners. Well. I don't think the owners would want her to ignore paying customers who were dining in their establishment on order to "shoot the breeze" with them. (My observation of their interactions is that it was social, as opposed to they'd "ordered" her to sit down with them, which, of course, I would've understood.) If the server had been apologetic and humble, I would have instantly forgiven and moved on. But she wasn't! Mom and I always tip 20% or more for good service. This is the first time we didn't leave a tip at all. P.S. Mom liked the food! I would still recommend this place. It is so charming. Everyone makes mistakes, and maybe the server was having an "off" day. Stop in sometime! I will be back next time I'm in Atlantic City to try it again.

Landmark 24 hour bar the Irish pub has been a go to spot for years little known fact the gravy fries are to die for not always available and when they are, they run out quick if you wanna drink and pub fair and when I get out of casino casinos, this is a must stop bar. If you've never been you don't know what you've been missing out when I say 24 hours it's 24 hours 1 o'clock in the afternoon is a good time 2 AM is a good time. One of the photos in this post is rare. It actually has the mural being painted which was probably around 11 PM in the summer some years ago. The Irish pub is probably the best decorated spot in Atlantic City for Christmas decorations.

My friend and i spent 3 days in AC and this is always our go to place for our dinner meals. The food is always consistent and their steak fries are to die for. Staff is always friendly and you can't beat the price...2 meals for under $30 tip included

Forgive me, but the corned beef looks processed (cold cut like) in the pictures. Is the corned beef cooked and sliced on site? Thank you!

Is the Irish Pub open during the fall?

From what I read when I was there it indicated that it was open all year. They have rooms above the restaurant they rent out as well. That's where I'd stay if I went back

Does the Irish pub have happy hr? If so what days and times

I don't think so. They have many specials and their drink prices are always low. The pub is open 24-7 and have 50 cent wings after midnight

Do the inn rooms have tv's?

    No

They had a Valentine's Day dinner special that was just nothing but goodness. From the beets salad, to the 8oz filet topped with crab meat and the Chocolate Fondant for desert. Every bit of it was on point. I have to tip my hat to our waiter Jeff (bald) who was just a great experience. His customer service was great and he made sure we were well taken care of given how busy he was with others. He was conscientious to his job and was very energetic.

We also ordered fries and truffle fries (subbed instead of regular fries), and everything tasted fantastic. That said, the pricing gave me a little pause. About $75 for two burgers, truffle fries, and sodas felt steep, but honestly, the flavor helped justify it... at least a teeny bit. Later in the evening, we returned just for drinks and dessert, which were both solid. The espresso martinis were especially good (though at nearly $20 each, expectations are high), and we had more than a few. The only real downside was service during our second visit. When we let the staff know we weren't ordering food since we had already eaten earlier, our silverware and napkins were quickly cleared and our water glasses were taken as well. I had to request that water glasses stay and be filled, which felt awkward and honestly a bit dismissive, especially given the cost of the drinks we were ordering (4 of us). Overall, excellent food and drinks, but the service inconsistency took away from the experience. With more attentive hospitality, this would easily be a 5-star spot. Solid option and they can deliver to the room if you scan from the room. We ordered and asked for it to be delivered and they said they couldn't. We returned for breakfast the next day and the food was delicious and hot! Definitely delivered...

She eyeballed me with her one good eye as she muttered the words. Leading me to feel as if I was the "riffraff" of which she spoke. As I pulled it out I looked around at numerous rusty nails poking up. I considered myself lucky at that point. I would have split right then but it was so hard this place and now I'm in pain and bleeding. I just needed a drink!! Uncaringly, French offered up the daily special. "A good honest fisherman's drink and pay in advance", she barked. I gave her a 20 and she disappeared out the back somewhere. 25 minutes later later she reappears from dark staircase to the left and behind us and hands us 2 steamy wooden flagons topped with a writhing frothy head of foam. "2 Maggot Bhoonas", says she. Her 1/2 cocked smirk showing a snaggled golden tooth. It glimmered in the sickly candlelight. I scraped away most of the unidentified froth and obvious maggots and pounded the liquid part of the drink. To be fair. It wasn't as unpleasant as I thought it would be. Almost like a warm very salty & sour Mai Tai. Refreshing and quite warming because it was absolutely damp and cold inside. We paid our tab and we left. Myself, limping and toe bleeding. I learned later that this restaurant has been around since the early to mid 1900's. Plenty of parking in a large open lot. The place is very large and has one of the longest bars I've seen. The wood is very dark and you can see the chefs cooking over the hearth. They don't take reservations and won't see you until your entire party is there. One of the things I liked for our party of 10 was they had no problems with seating as they also have many large round tables. For mixed drinks, they make them pretty big and potent. For my martini, they sent back an extra glass. They also had great bleu cheese stuffed olives. We ordered onion rings (8 large to an order) and fried zucchini. The onion ring I had was pretty good. I didn't have the fried zucchini but heard it was also pretty good. Other than the light fare items, all dinners come with their salad bar which has both iceberg lettuce and Caesar Salad along with many fixings as well as cheeses and bread. I had the Baked Seafood Platter which came with scallops, shrimp, Clam Casino (without the shell), Maryland crab cake and a small lobster tail for $49.99. My wife had the baked chicken breast which she said was quite dry. The dining area is quite large and reminds me of the restaurants at a casino. Some in our group said it reminds them of Medieval Times due to the dark wood vibe. While I thought it was a bit pricey, I would still come back and try their signature steaks or prime rib.
