During most of the year, this legendary, 24/7 pub is famous for its unique, memorabilia-filled atmosphere and historical ties to AC, the Monopoly game, prohibition, etc., attracting visitors who enjoy its authentic, home-style vibe. But during Christmas, its decorations are on a whole other level of amazingness. Photos will not permit you to understand just how fantastic the volume and scope of lights, ornaments and figurines abound all around the restaurant and bar areas. The owner starts decorating weeks before Christmas adding new items each day through Christmas. You can't miss catching the Christmas spirit here, while taking in some spirits! Every bit of it was on point. I have to tip my hat to our waiter Jeff (bald) who was just a great experience. His customer service was great and he made sure we were well taken care of given how busy he was with others. He was conscientious to his job and was very energetic.

The proximity to the Tropicana is nice and having a parking permit helps. Unfortunately, the Tropicana is not what it once was, so you will need to drive up to the newer casinos. We had a first floor room that was adequate. Be aware if the folks in the room upstairs get busy (YKWIM), you will unavoidably hear EVERYthing. The bifold bathroom door was falling apart and the toilet is pretty low to the ground, so you'd best be limber. The shower is quite small and the curtain was ripped as well, so don't put the towel on the floor during your shower. Bring your own soap if you can. The breakfast is good, although more Hampton Inn than traditional B&B. Keep in mind that it's a lower price point than the resort hotels, although paying more is never a guarantee of better.
