we came on a Sunday and sat at the bar first to take advantage of the happy hour drinks and food. It was definitely worth doing that. The bar is relatively small, but there were seats. If you come on a Sunday, definitely expect the early bird special. The service was very good. Also, keep in mind that this restaurant location is a pretty far walk from the main casino areas because it's in the Chelsea Tower. The restaurant also faces the water was plenty ocean view seating if you come early enough before sunset.

Chelsea Five is a gastropub located in the Chelsea tower of the Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City. It's quite the journey from the main parking area so be prepared to walk far. The ambiance is great for a date night or small group with beautiful ocean views! Definitely make a reservation because every table was booked on Sunday night when I visited for Restaurant Week. I looked at so many menu offerings for the 3 course special, & have had my eye on the pork chop for some time. This dish was highly recommended by the waitress which was another great sign, so after starting with the tasty Lobster Bisque, I got the Double Cut Porkchop! It is spice rubbed with bourbon & brown sugar apples on top & served with a red wine reduction. The chop itself was cooked to a perfect medium as I requested & so juicy & tender. It's the most flavorful Porkchop I've had in ages! We ended the meal with a Chocolate Jubilation cake that was very delicious & decadent. For $40.24 per person, this was a great deal since the regular price of the Porkchop is $39.99 so we essentially got the starter & dessert for free! The entree is also the regular size & not a smaller offering like at other restaurants. Sides & drinks were extra. We got the mashed potatoes, green beans & an espresso martini & everything was awesome. Our food & server were on point & I'll definitely be back!

This place is fantastic and truly an upper scale shore vibe. We came for an early dinner when they opened at 5p on a Friday and it wasn't busy. The server Bob was absolutely the best and he was so quick and helpful on every turn that he made our experience even better. Everything we ordered was delicious; Clams Casino, Sliders w Chips, Stuffed Shrimp and saving the best for last.... CAPE MAY CHOWDER Yes it's summer and who eats soup in the summer but OMG I NEED MORE. Just get it, it won't disappoint.

Went back to this place just for the pork chop 3x! And I'm not local, so whenever I come for a small vacay to NJ this is definitely one of the top spots to hit! Service is great, and food is even better, ambiance is clean and refreshing. Love this place and will always have a spot in my top 10's.

The food was incredible, a must visit on your vacation in Atlantic City. Located inside the Tropicana hotel/casino. Servers are top notch, excellent experience all around. Will be visiting often when i'm in town.

Every time I come to AC, I have to hit up Chelsea 5. I cannot stress how great of a hidden gem this restaurant is. Its vibe is lounge like. The passion fruit martini was a hit, and my food is always so good. The waiter was kind and the service is always top tier!!

We found this restaurant while searching online for someplace nice to eat near Tropicana. We made a reservation and headed there early on Friday night. We had a very hard time finding it. We ended up asking a security guard who pointed us in the right direction. It's on the 4th(?) floor of the south tower in the Chelsea hotel at Tropicana. I'm very glad we found it because we almost gave up, and that would've been a shame!! Every server in the place, no matter their function, is amazing! The first server that came to our table welcomed us and asked if we would like water. We had another come over to tell us specials and take drink orders. (By the way, the drinks were delicious!) Yet another server brought us fresh bread, and someone else took our dinner order. Everyone was pleasant and all working together for us. We started with the mozzarella cheese curds. It's very similar to fried mozz but so much better!! Such fresh mozzarella!! My husband then ordered the seafood Alfredo. He ate every bite. He had to take a break, as he was getting full, but it was so good he had to finish the last few shrimp in his dish! I got the bourbon and brown sugar meatloaf. It just sounded good. It came out as a little, personal sized meatloaf coated in the Bourbon and brownsugar. It was very tasty, but a tad too sweet for my taste. The meat loaf itself was really good. The mashed potatoes were delicious! The asparagus was a bit under cooked, but the cheddar jalapeño corn bread was awesome. Our view was pretty, overlooking the beach, but also, unfortunately, part of the roof. Well, nothing is perfect! Just as we were finishing up, I went to finish my bellini to find a bug in it. I was finished anyway, but my husband insisted on mentioning it to the server. He offered me a new drink, which I declined, as I was just too full. He apologized and took the drink. A short time later, a manager approached us to apologize. He removed both drinks off our bill. We didn't expect it, but it was appreciated! We will definitely eat here when we visit again. We don't ever stay on this end of the boardwalk, but this restaurant is worth the walk or short drive over to Tropicana!

The meals and service here were on point! We made a reservation having not been to this restaurant previously and having no frame of reference for its popularity. We were seated quickly, and then greeted by a member who poured our water and then informed us as to the name of our waiter and stated that she'd be with us shortly. Fresh warm bread and whipped butter were brought for us as we reviewed menu selections. There was a large group in the dining area, but the ambiance & general chatter still allowed us to converse without difficulty. As for beverages, my fiancé ordered a beer and I had a Puebla Margarita made with Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur that had a delicious flavor! Onto our appetizer & entrees. My fiancé and I both love French Onion soup and ordered a bowl to share. We both agreed it may have been the best tasting French Onion soup we'd ever had! She ordered the Flounder Francaise and I had the Chicken Primavera. Both dishes were outstandingly prepared! We definitely recommend this restaurant! It was a great pick before heading off to hear Earth, Wind & Fire perform at The Hard Rock Cafe!

Last minute reservation for a Saturday night resulted in an unexpectedly very good meal. We didn't get the primo table by the window but the back row still allowed a beautiful view of the ocean. Fantastic service. Complimentary bread was warm and delicious. My steak was done exactly as requested and well worth the price. Definition Will recommend to others and plan to return when in the area.

I am back! After a while I came back to USA! For weekend we came to Atlantic City and the first time we stay at Tropicana Resort. Aaand for the dinner ( btw it's my first meal for today) we came Chelsea Five Gastropub! I have to say everything was pretty good! Especially French soup was perfect!

    Flounder Francaise - really good!

Their wings come out crispy which we both enjoyed (my mom is very hard to please), the onion rings were good, and she very much liked her salad. Service was great and the ambiance is nice. Our lunch here came out cheaper than breakfast at Hash House at Tropicana. The only thing problem is that only 7 pieces of wings come in one order. That's an odd number for wings. Should be at least 10 pieces. I mean if people know your wings are good, not sure why you wouldn't offer at least 10 pieces like most WING places.

One moment there was a place with burgers and beer flights, a hum of televisions and bar chatter, and the next there was only silence and a locked door. We were left wandering near the Convention Center, hungry and confused, like pilgrims whose holy site had vanished overnight. I give it two stars because once upon a time, the food was decent and the beer cold. But the sudden disappearance left us stranded, and the city felt emptier for it. Atlantic City is cruel like that, swallowing places whole and leaving only echoes where the laughter used to be.

We also ordered fries and truffle fries (subbed instead of regular fries), and everything tasted fantastic. That said, the pricing gave me a little pause. About $75 for two burgers, truffle fries, and sodas felt steep, but honestly, the flavor helped justify it... at least a teeny bit. Later in the evening, we returned just for drinks and dessert, which were both solid. The espresso martinis were especially good (though at nearly $20 each, expectations are high), and we had more than a few. The only real downside was service during our second visit. When we let the staff know we weren't ordering food since we had already eaten earlier, our silverware and napkins were quickly cleared and our water glasses were taken as well. I had to request that water glasses stay and be filled, which felt awkward and honestly a bit dismissive, especially given the cost of the drinks we were ordering (4 of us). Overall, excellent food and drinks, but the service inconsistency took away from the experience. With more attentive hospitality, this would easily be a 5-star spot. Solid option and they can deliver to the room if you scan from the room. We ordered and asked for it to be delivered and they said they couldn't. I opted to sit near the bar at a low table. In seconds my table was surrounded by the team, my server, the bartender and the owner, making me feel welcome and insuring I was comfortable. I was presented with multiple menus, all updated for the season, I selected the That Dill Though, it was there in two minutes, a tall glass with ice, vodka, dill syrup, lemon, Granny Smith apple, and prosecco, garnished with fresh dill. It was cool, refreshing and delicious. I discovered a lot of new items with creative flair and sounding amazing. I selected from the Prix Fixe menu. This is a new feature that includes an appetizer, main and dessert at a great cost saving price with various options. My appetizer was a Caesar salad, it included a generous portion of fresh crisp hearts of romaine, preserved lemon, parmesan, onion jam, croutons and just the right amount of house made creamy Caesar dressing. Together the flavors are an outstanding, the preserved lemon pieces offer a fresh pop and contrast with the onion jam. This is absolutely a must have, just writing about it is making me crave it again. My main was the Jail Island Salmon. It was beautiful and delicious. The Salmon is delectable the skin is perfectly seasoned and crispy, look at the photo how moist flaky and executed perfectly, It is perched atop wonderful butternut squash and chilled farro with apple and fresh parsley. This was without a doubt the best salmon I ever had. For dessert I enjoyed the house made cheesecake, it was so creamy, served with fresh strawberry slices blueberries and a fresh whipped cream a light dusting of powdered sugar and a mint leaf this was decadent, a very rich soufflé style, simply spectacular. My server was Manuel, very friendly professional and attentive. The entire staff checked on me, frequently including the Chef Michael who stopped at my table after every course was delivered. The restaurant is decorated nicely for the holiday with a great sound system playing excellent music. This was such a wonderful dinner that when I was leaving I opted to walk the beautiful grounds even though is was raining, just to prolong this exquisite culinary journey! It was a bit tricky getting into this place because maps told us to go to the backside of the restaurant and there was no entrance there but there were signs saying go here for this and go there for that but we figured it out, obviously. Soon as we walk in they seat us. There are a few others dining but it's not packed. There's a lively group sitting behind us and that's fine because it's daytime and it's meant to be lively. The setup was such that there was a constant draft. I don't really like drafts where I eat because too much can blow through and the food cools down faster but it wasn't that bad but it is why I didn't give it 5 stars. It was a little chilly that day also so that didn't help. It wasn't cool enough that we needed a jacket on but with the draft, maybe we should've put them on but who wants to eat with a jacket on? I ordered the chicken and waffle but substituted for french toast. The french toast was so good that there was no reason for syrup at all. The french toast was cooked perfectly and wasn't dry and already sweet so you didn't need syrup to make it sweet or to soften it up. It was perfect as it was and the eggs were light and fluffy. What does that even mean? Light and fluffy eggs? I heard that somewhere so I repeated it, lol but if I knew what that meant, I'm sure I would say these were that. Regardless, they were good. I love eggs! Please try this place. You will not be disappointed.

It strikes that rare balance where your table feels private and intimate, but you're still very aware of the buzz and energy around you. It's lively without being overwhelming. What really ties it together is the staff: cool, calm, and genuinely helpful without hovering or trying too hard. If you're in Atlantic City and want something with personality, style, and substance, this place absolutely delivers.

If you are a fan of anything retro, you gotta go and check this place out. From the tailored cocktails with done with that mixology type of approach, to the lounge or the restaurant. The vibe is my favorite, food is good and the people both in terms of service and interaction/people watching will keep you there!

I've always stayed in the Havana tower which was always a pleasant stay and the rooms were lovely. However the Chelsea tower needs a major update. The Trop kind of hyped it up when they acquired it. When you enter the lobby area it's modern and bright. Oh but get on the elevator to take you to the rooms it's a completely different story. The hallways are dark and the furniture in the rooms is obviously old and showing wear and tear. I gave two stars only because I didn't see any bugs and it wasn't dirty just obviously worn. If you're going to the Trop skip the Chelsea tower and go for the Havana.

The bathroom door didn't lock, in fact it was an office door on the bathroom, that required a key to be locked. The door to the room did not have a security lock, instead it had a chain for a regular door. The shower also had the knobs mixed up and didn't provide much pressure. But it was clean and pretty. The wall paper in the halls gave 80s vibes, pop corn ceiling in the room. I could hear the guest in the next room talking and I could hear every time they flushed their toilet. I must also add that the bed was very, very comfortable.

Great location in center of Atlantic City. They have valet and self-parking. We did valet. I do not…read morerecommend. When we picked up our car is was close to an hour. Absolutely insane. This entire complex is a maze. We were trying to find a restaurant and had to ask 3 different people. Ended up having to go to one elevator to get to the 5th floor of another tower then to another elevator in a completely different tower to go down to that lobby and then through several hallways. You will get lost. Check in gets 10 stars! Super convenient and quick. You aren't waiting. Service was great. We were put in the Salona Tower. There's 2 elevators. That's it. Waited in line for 20 minutes just to get on the elevator to go up to our room. Seems like there's a bank of 4 but only 2 are working. This was super inconvenient. Room itself was good. Spacious and all the things you need. Seems as if it has been updated. There's a huge bathroom with a tub, one sink and toilet. The bed was comfy and a king. There's a TV, chair, and small table. I think there was a fridge but not sure as we didn't use. There was an ironing board as well. Safe too. Overall good accommodations. Nothing fancy. Just what you need.

The concierge was useless we wanted to take the luggage cart they said no a concierge has to do it. NO concierge in sight. We had to lug it ourselves. We had to walk thru the casino thru the quarter to get to our elevators. #2 ALL pools were closed #3 ALL POOLS WERE CLOSED #4 Leaving was worse than coming elevators were closed were walking around lookin dumb trying to find how to leave again and AGAIN NO ONE TO BE FOUND TO HELP & REMEMBER we had all them bags.
