Great location in center of Atlantic City. They have valet and self-parking. We did valet. I do not recommend. When we picked up our car is was close to an hour. Absolutely insane. This entire complex is a maze. We were trying to find a restaurant and had to ask 3 different people. Ended up having to go to one elevator to get to the 5th floor of another tower then to another elevator in a completely different tower to go down to that lobby and then through several hallways. You will get lost. Check in gets 10 stars! Super convenient and quick. You aren't waiting. Service was great. We were put in the Salona Tower. There's 2 elevators. That's it. Waited in line for 20 minutes just to get on the elevator to go up to our room. Seems like there's a bank of 4 but only 2 are working. This was super inconvenient. Room itself was good. Spacious and all the things you need. Seems as if it has been updated. There's a huge bathroom with a tub, one sink and toilet. The bed was comfy and a king. There's a TV, chair, and small table. I think there was a fridge but not sure as we didn't use. There was an ironing board as well. Safe too. Overall good accommodations. Nothing fancy. Just what you need. read more

I will say that I love that Tropicana has everything inside it's a casino, hotel, has restaurants, clubs, arcade, imax theatre etc.... We stayed in the new tower the Solana Tower & I loved it. It was very clean. HOWEVER, #1 they have no one that can help we had mad luggage (totally our fault) we know for next time we have to consolidate. That's not a hotel you can be have mad luggage with. The concierge was useless we wanted to take the luggage cart they said no a concierge has to do it. NO concierge in sight. We had to lug it ourselves. I booked a one night for me and my wife overnight into valentines day. We stayed at the South Tower. It was not a good stay. It was one of those trips where almost everything was just awful. I do not understand the positive reviews of this place. I booked a penthouse sweet. It wasn't awfully expensive at $350 as the photos online looked like a nice room. When we got there, the check in process was ridiculous. There was no staff at the counter, it was closed. So we had to do kiosk check in. It couldn't find our reservation. I spent 10 minutes doing it over and over again until someone walked by and said "oh, that one is not working, try a different one". Next one worked, and I was hit was an additional $189!!! Not wanting to look like a cheapo on valentines day i just paid it. No idea what it was even for. We walked like 1mile (literally) across the entire complex, through the casino, over the sky bridge to our hotel. Elevators are so old and dingy. We get to the room and its a dump. I'm supposed to walk a mile back to an empty desk to complain? It was Motel6 quality at best. Couldn't wait to go eat. The bright spot of the trip was the food at Chickie and Petes, that was good. Time to gamble....maybe not....the casino was DISGUSTING. There were cigarette trays filled butts everywhere, i don't even think they have a non-smoking section anymore, and if they did, the exhaust fans must not be working because the whole place smells like cigarettes. Empty bottles, cups, trash, all around the machines. And the tables... just as bad. And forget about getting a drink, in 4 hours of play time, we saw servers twice. What a joke. And it was not overly busy, only about half the tables were open. Went back to our room, slept fine, except for the thermostats don't work so you better not care about what temperature you sleep in at night. Checkout day, we had breakfast at Casa Tequila. Best breakfast in AC for sure. Check it out, you'll love it. Time to leave the room and we have 30 minutes before check out. And guess what - 3 of the 4 the elevators aren't working. We waited 20 minutes and since everyone is trying to leave, the one elevator is all jammed up. I'll be damned if they are going to hit me with a late fee so there I go running down 20 flights of a urine smelling, graffiti filled stairwell (don't take your kids in there unless you want to explain to them what the yellow puddles are and what all the sharpie drawn words and pictures mean) and back across the whole complex to check out in time. To add insult to injury, they hit me with a #30 PARKING FEE!!!! I'll obviously never return here. The Tropicana and Atlantic City as a whole is now a dilapidated trash filled dumpster of a town with hookers and empty lots and blown out buildings everywhere. read more

BUYER BEWARE! My wife and I were given a Ceasars gift card for our anniversary by our children. At the time of purchase my daughter confirmed that it could be used to pay our room bill at the Tropicana and was told that we could use it upon check out. My wife called before we went and they confirmed once again that the card could be used upon check out to pay the bill. When we checked in we spoke to Kyle at the front desk who advised us to charge any incidentals to the room and we could use the gift card to pay the bill upon check out. Upon check out they would not accept the gift card and we had to use a credit card , we even spoke to the manager on duty. Now we are stuck with a $450 gift card that is useless to us. The misinformation they gave us regarding the use of the card is beyond belief. read more

The reviews for the Tropicana are certainly a mixed can of worms. Our experience for our 2 night stay was positive. We had rooms in the South tower on the 20th floor. Due to a reservation mix-up we had different rooms for both nights. We got lucky, because both the rooms we were given were huge and had ocean and bay views. We were at a conference with other friends and everyone else's rooms were half the size of ours. The Tropicana is vast and a city unto itself. There are several towers (South, North, Havana, and Chelsea). The Chelsea appears to be the older side of the building and a maze to get to. My recommendation is if you can get a room in the South Tower on an upper level, you shouldn't be disappointed. There are many restaurants, eateries, and bars all within the Tropicana. We actually had all our meals right on the property. There was plenty of entertainment from live bands to dueling pianos. All within the walls of the Tropicana. read more

This casino is living in the old ages. I live in Reno, and regularly visit Las Vegas. Tropicana's machines regularly glitched out and didn't allow me to cash out or place a bet. Take notice of the picture in my review disallowing a cash out. This ended up costing me hundreds of dollars. Wouldn't recommend such an outdated casino. I've stayed at The Tropicana AC multiple times. And although Tropicana is a bit far from the main boardwalk, it makes up for it with a variety of things-to-do. The Tropicana has multiple restaurants and bars with music and pregame spots like Wet Willie's for a quick to-go drink. Perhaps best of all, it has many solid nightclubs with music ranging from top current pop hits to 70s throwbacks. A little bird told me it's very easy to pickup singles at these spots. Price wise, you can often catch bargains for rooms. They are generally clean and comfy if you pay a bit more and choose a renovated tower - Solana Tower in the west wing or the South Tower. On the otherhand, drinks tend to be a bit pricey at the bars and pop clubs. So, I highly recommend pregaming in your room before you head out. Overall, Tropicana is on the top of my list of AC spots when I'm not interested in cruising the boardwalk. read more

They have so many excellent Restaurants to choose from PF Changs, Carmines, Cuba Libre and Wild honey just to name a few. They also have a IMAX theater for all your movie needs. We had a really amazing time we had gone on a cruise for our 25th anniversary of New York and I surprise my husband was a trip for three days to Atlantic City staying at the Tropicana. Everything was exceptional with a little scary moment the first night we were there had a fire alarm go off, but eventually after a couple hours was all fixed up in the straightened out and went back to gambling made money. Everybody was friendly and kind and helpful because he's disabled and we had this fantastic room in the salt tower overlooking the ocean. This review will focus mostly on the other amenities portion of the resort. This resort, unlike some of its sister locations, has so much more to do and offer. That is the whole reason I had come here in the first place, I wanted choices of things to do and places to eat. Tropicana is an immense resort complex, quite possibly the longest one on the boardwalk...at least at this end. Typical casino features on the floor, but I bypassed this and made my way towards the entertainment portions. Which includes the shops and restaurants. They have a good variety of places to dine at different price points which some locations are lacking in. They also have a great variety of places to shop. The theming in here hits the mark and continues into all areas. Maybe, if I ever come back to AC, this might be where I stay. read more

My stay at Tropicana in the summer of 2024 was absolutely horrible! I sent two emails about my issues and was told that it would be reviewed by management after my second email, and no one hasn't replied still after almost two years. The hotel is good to just visit the sites and attractions but as far as staying overnight? I wouldn't recommend it. They ended up giving me a smoking room and I'm asthmatic because they overbooked. Also, about ten minutes ago, I told my issue to a live agent and was told that in order to speak to an Email Consultant who would call me to discuss my issue further, I had to pay a $5 reimbursement fee.......until the disclaimer says that I'd also be paying a $65 membership fee! Had a great time at the Trop! I've been to Atlantic City a ton over the years, but never stayed at the Trop until recently. The basically have everything you could need in one spot - multiple restaurants, clubs, restaurants, shops, a spa. The rooms were a bit small, but were clean. I went to multiple restaurants during my stay- Cuba Libre, PF Changs, Chickie & Pete's to make a few. I love the variety of cuisines. The casino floor is clean and has a lot Of slot and table options. Drink service is always pretty quick too. Great experience overall!! read more

What everyone is saying about the elevators is accurate. We got on the elevator one day and jarred us so bad it went from floor four to the casino level in one second. Where do I begin? I checked in to the Tropicana for two nights recently in the South Tower. It started off bad because they never called us for our room, we had to stand on line to ask if our room was ready, what is the point of early check-in and using the kiosk? When we arrived to our room, it was disgusting. I immediately wanted to change rooms but we were pressed for time. I'm a platinum member mainly because I am a veteran even though I drop plenty of cash on the casino floor. With that being stated, why would you put comped vets or anyone else in the type of room we were in? Just because we are comped doesn't mean we should be given the worse of the worse rooms. It's down right disrespectful. The rug was beyond filthy. How the housekeeper not see it and report on it, is mindboggling. You would have to be blind? We had to put sheets on the floor to cover the stains . We had to screw the light bulb on and off to get light because there was no switch or anything to turn it on, seriously? My guest burned their hand turning off the light. The walls were very dirty. Everything was dusty, everything! The worse of the worse was the water, it came out BROWN! I had to run the water for too long before it became clear. The second day, only one of us was able to shower, the water kept changing back to brown. Whatever made the water brown, stained the sink BLACK! I pray we are not contaminated in any way. This is unacceptable on every level. I will never stay in the South Tower again, ever. I'm not going to go into the horrible elevator for the tower. It was as if the room hadn't been occupied in a very long time.Tropicana, you should be ashamed and embaressed. read more

Just when you think a casino has hit bottom and is going to turn around, the Tropicana hits a new low. A majority of the slots that we played had buttons that didn't work right, ordering a drink was near impossible, and despite losing over $500 in about an hour my only beer choice was a small cup of warm Budweiser which took an hour to get. So this is my first time staying at Tropicana and I must say the customer service is zero there isn't any I was asked if I wanted to upgrade my room for an additional charge of $30 per night. I checked into my room was told that the cost of my room was $223.46 the following morning, the front desk tried to charge me the same $233.46 that I already paid the day prior from my 2 night stay . Call down to speak with the front desk they informed me that I needed to come down and speak to the front desk manager as the agent that checked me and did not check me in with the correct information. First time at the Trop in probably 10 + years. It has gone so far down hill I will never be back. First - we apparently had a room at Chelsea tower- which is not even in the trop and as soon as we got off the elevator we said nope. It was like a motel 6- gross. Totally gross. It should not be used ever. So we went back to the desk and told them it's unacceptable and we need a new room. So they put us in jr. suite. Nice of him. The room smelled like an ash tray -- it got worse and worse every hour. I was so sick I couldn't stay in the room, "slept" with a hoodie over my head to help elevate some of the smell. I am allergic so I was sneezing, coughing and just sick to my stomach the whole night. I needed my inhaler to get my voice back. I could not get out of there fast enough. The hotel needs to be gutted or imploded. I refused to shower or brush my teeth, I was so turned off by the smell of everything. Good thing we only stayed one night--- less than 24 hours. The tables were crappy, no waitress in sight for an hour... while the quarter is great but the rest needs serious renovations. Needless to say, we will stick to hard rock and ocean. Will only go back for dinner in the quarter. Stay at harrahs instead. Just don't go here. We stayed in the North tower. The only positive would be the access to the north elevators and the boardwalk access. also - business manager Ryan. Please do not tell me to contact Cesar's. You're a manager -- you can contact them. I just want people to know how disgusting this place was. It is embarrassing and totally disappointing what' it's turned into. also. We chose Atlantic City for our mini Oct vacation; we enjoyed Vegas so wanted a similar experience. I had two choices near the boardwalk or the Borgatta away from action I picked Tropicana. My early impressions of Tropicana were that looked old wasn't loving the layout of food court and main lobby but it grew on me and finally decided it was a fun time. We were in Havana tower, where you have to walk through casino floor all way to end of Quarter up escalator just to reach elevator. I did like that you had everything to do there, IMAX, comedy club, Escape room, nightclubs, sports bars, indoor pool, many restaurants, casino games, boardwalk access, beach access. I definitely got my steps in every day and being a runner appreciated I could step out behind food court right onto boardwalk. Going toward Ventnor City & back was 5.5 miles, other end toward Showboat was 5 miles to and fro. Our room was fine except no microwave so to-go boxes were not taken. Service was serviceable make sure have ID or front lobby can't help. There is not a whole lot to do in Atlantic City but within Tropicana there was. read more

This Hotel is like the UN, everyone stays here, even the homeless. They occupy the benches. Security is very laxed, i guess they are told to leave them alone. But at the end of the day, they don't bother me. I like the Tropicana this place has a lot to do, great restaurants and weekends is always very busy. It's always maintained pretty clean, casino floor a lot of security. If you venture outside of the hotel at night make sure you are in company of Mr. Glock or just jump in an Uber. The restaurants in the casino were the highlight. We ate at two different restaurants and both were fantastic. What did not go well was that we arrived as a bus group. We had to transport luggage up an escalator then down a ramp then down an escalator. It took about 10 minutes to get there. There was NO ONE to help. Getting to the check in desk there was an emphasis to use kiosks to check in, however none of them were working. They had three people behind the desk who were obviously overworked and seemed annoyed that we were checking in. Getting to the room again with NO help required another escalator ride, a long walk through the casino and the elevator up. While the casino was full of lights and music the rooms were underwhelming. Wallpaper was falling off, the carpets needed replaced and the bathroom had one roll of toilet paper and the floor was full of someone else's hair. The floor we stayed on was non smoking but the entire place had a smell of stale cigarette smoke. We found out the floor below us was a smoking floor. More money needs invested in smoke eaters throughout the entire hotel! I wouldn't go back NOR stay at this casino. read more

This was our first and probably last time staying at the Tropicana. We did valet parking and were told if we paid ahead of time we would have our car out and ready and wouldn't have to wait in the morning- that didn't happen. Check in wasn't that bad and the bell services brought up our cart all the way to our room on the 46th floor. The room was big, seemed clean. Getting to the room from check in was a hike. The place is so big and maybe some people like that but we did not. We didn't go to gamble so it wasn't worth staying at the casino. The worst part was check out. We waited 20 minutes for an elevator then our family split into different elevators because they were so full from everyone checking out. The self checkout didn't work. I waited in line where people kept butting in line then the diamond club members got priority so all in all it took 40 minutes for elevator and check out then our car was not ready and we waited another 20 minutes- 60 minutes just to leave the hotel. Pros were the large room and large panoramic windows for the view, it would probably be worth upgrading to a beach view. read more

Last time I went here I was disgusted with the poop on the bathroom floor and that has not been clean for hours. I ended up playing here the most out of the other three Caesar's property. I would say this one needs the most love as I found some of the areas out of date and the lighting was really dark and old. The place was hot as well. I ended up playing here the most because of the selection of games and I was winning a lot in the beginning. Unfortunately, I most bad here too at the end, but the casino always wins. I did enjoy some of the old machines like the top dollar wheel and the $5 dollar Blazing 7's. I did hit a jackpot as well. The selection of games I could not complain. They do have a marketplace and Tony Luke's the famous philly steak sandwich place, but we were full. We usually stay here to celebrate friends and families birthdays because of the nightlife and the entertainment available at the resort. The nightlife there is pretty impressive! There are some fantastic clubs like Tangos and Boogie Nights, which is a blast from the past with its 70s and 80s vibes. Dancing the night away there is a real treat! Plus, there are plenty of great places to eat, so you won't have to worry about finding a good meal after a night out. However, not everything was perfect. The main downside of the resort was the condition of the rooms. They were pretty dirty, which was disappointing. Customer service didn't help much either; it felt like they didn't care at all. If there was an issue with the room or a reservation, they didn't seem eager to fix it. To top it off, some of the staff came off as pretty ignorant, which really put a damper on the experience. Overall, if you're looking for a fun night out in Atlantic City, Tropicana has that in spades, but just be prepared for some shortcomings when it comes to the accommodations and service read more
