Stayed for 3 nights last week. Perfectly fine place to stay. One of the people in our party complained that the furniture was cheap and the kitchen light was burned out, but honestly not a big deal - we're not cooking anyway, so not sure why they even cared. It's not fancy, and it's a bit further from the boardwalk than a handful of similar tier hotels, but it was perfectly fine for our needs. read more

We have been coming to Ocean City New Jersey since 1974 for the last four years we have been staying at this hotel. The parking is adequate sort of small . parking is conveniently located under the building, which is nice to keep the cars out of the sun. The lobby is small, but always well appointed with a friendly staff member behind the desk. There are two elevators and five floors. The pool is located on the top of floor five which is very nice because you can get good sun up there. You can also see the boardwalk and the ocean. We have stayed in the past on the Fourth of July so we were able to be out of the crowds and watching the fireworks from up stairs. On the fourth floor there is a mezzanine level with picnic tables and umbrellas. It is wonderful to bring food back and enjoy dinner there away from the chaos of the boardwalk. It is conveniently located about two blocks from the boardwalk. There is a cute ice cream store next-door. It is very close to Asbury Avenue and the shopping. The rooms are well appointed stove, refrigerator sink, small family room and adjoining bathroom to the bedroom which each room has a balcony. The hotel is clean each room differs because they are privately owned. There is made service service and laundry on each floor. It is non-smoking which is very very very nice. We like it here we've always had a good time. I highly recommend it. I can't speak for every room in the hotel as they are different but the ones that have always been very nice confident read more

Pretty clean, except the carpet and furniture is stained. Shower is small and doesn't drain properly. Could use an update on little kitchen. Pillows are uncomfortable as well as bed. Elevators were sketchy. Other than that, it did its job for our two night stay. Would be higher rating except someone on our floor was burning incense (we think to cover up another "smell") and it smelled our whole room up to the point we had to open windows and block the bottom of our door with a towel. Can't smoke, but can choke other people out with your incense. read more

My wife and I rented a "suite" for a weekend getaway and this is not what we expected. The pictures on the website of the suite room(120) is not what we walked into this past weekend. Aside from the smell in the room and lights not working the pictures I've provided do not do justice to what we had to deal with this weekend. The king size bed was horrible and like we were sleeping on springs and no matter where you laid on the bed you ended up in the middle. The blankets were hard, smelled and should have been thrown away 30 years ago. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at and highly recommend someone sleeping in their car instead of wasting money on this place. The only good thing about this place is the location but even the parking lot is so tight that you risk damaging your car parking in the lot. read more

The room was a decent size, we stayed in a unit with a bedroom, kitchenette, living room and a walk through bathroom. The rooms and bedding appeared clean. We arrived a few hours early and the ladies at the front desk were very pleasant and accommodating in allowing me to check in early to get my beach tag and parking pass and offered a phone call when the room was ready to move into. The pool and outdoor deck area were well maintained as well on the top floor. I wasn't really blown away with the place for the price we payed because it was just a very generic hotel setup with not a lot of things that set it apart and above the competition. There were a few things I would like to mention that were not favorable to this location. First, the room we stayed in was very dark. There were a few lamps in the front room but it still was very dark. The parking...I had the biggest problem with the parking. If you drive a compact car, you'll be golden but as you pull into the parking lot you see a lot of trucks and SUV's crammed into extremely small and tight spaces. Most spaces as pillars in the spaces as well so if you drive a larger vehicle proceed with caution (I drive a Toyota Tundra). The parking situation really made me not even want to leave the hotel and come back because I didn't want to deal with the squeeze. The water pressure in the shower really wasn't all that strong which made cleaning the ocean water out of long and thick hair a little difficult. Overall the hotel did its job and provide a place to stay at night but I'm not sure if I'll stay again, not while I drive my truck anyway. read more

My friends and I were very excited to stay in the "presidential suite". Unfortunately, the presidential suite is just a fancy name given to a mediocre room. The room was big, sure. It had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a large living area. However, the whole place smelled of smoke. The room itself is nonsmoking, but we figured that the smoking area for the hotel is just below the deck so every time a person opens the master bedroom windows or deck doors, smoke wafts into the who place. Everything we brought into the room smelled of smoke once we left. Luckily, the place is relatively close to the beach and other places nearby so we were able to walk around. Would not stay here again. read more

Biscayne Suites I wanted so badly to like this place. I had been recommended to rent here, by 2 friends, for a last minute, place for family visiting. It appeared clean and seems to be run by very nice front desk staff. I rented a larger suite for my brother, his fiancee and sister to stay, since I couldn't accommodate them all at my place. They arrived late night from traveling, and pretty much went to sleep immediately. The sister woke up in the morning, on the sofa bed, which was pre-made up already for her when we checked in, to a used, dirty, sticky rubber/latex glove rolled up in the sheets next to her. Upon first looking it appeared to be something else. Nonetheless it was still disgusting. This also brought up, the thought, where these sheets even clean? She called me. Sent a picture. I came right over and went to the front desk. The desk host seemed genuinely apologetic and said she would discuss with the owner or manager. Called me about 15mins later, said they could offer me $30breakfast credit or $50 future rental credit. (1st thought, why two different $ amounts? 2nd thought, they really don't think I'll be rebooking anytime soon, do they?!) I said great, I'll take the credit on my current charge as a refund. Was then told they cant process a charge credit. Which I know is total B.S. If you can refund a deposit, you can refund a charge at anytime. (As a business owner, I know how credit processing works too.) I was told its not their policy to refund monies. I said thats silly, but fine, was happy to take the offer of $50 in the breakfast credit. Why the difference? Doesnt make sense. I was told in a snippy reply, "it's a courtesy offer, this is it." A courtesy for what?! Leaving a dirty rubber glove in our bed?! A courtesy for being an inappropriately managed business, that doesn't check if rooms are properly cleaned for check in? Or a courtesy for conducting business poorly and not caring that your paying guests are satisfied. Such a wonderful "courtesy". I didn't want my money back in entirety. I wasn't asking for that. I simply don't understand why you wouldn't make the "apology" offer the same amount, and a choice to make you unhappy guest feel like they have an fair option. Reluctantly I took the breakfast offer. Knowing that at least it would be for a nearby restaurant. Not at the suites, thank goodness, as I question their cleanliness. (Also let's note that at no time did anyone come to remove the dirty glove or come see what was in the sofa bed. It stayed there for the next 3 hours.) Upon my guests checking out from #117 (I mention the unit, so the owners of this unit, consider dealing with the property management separately and the poor representation of handling their "suite's" guests).... As my guests check out later in the morning they heard the front desk lady (Melba) whom I spoke with in detail, talking smack on me, that she felt I thought I was bitchy and entitled to something more. Well you know what, Melba? You're damn right I am entitled, I am entitled to a hygienically clean unit rental in your hotel. And proper compensation if that is not provided. This was a disgusting thing to have happen. And you know it. I was nothing but nice to you. And you in turn made the possibility of me ever reconsidering this place as a potential for visiting guests, now a complete impossibility. You made the choice to talk about me and had my family over hear it. Good job! I hope your managers like how you treat guests. Yes. This experience probably doesn't happen in every unit. But it happened in mine. How you handle the event is how the guest remembers their stay and experience. This could have easily been correctly, but you and your business owner/manager handled this poorly. I will gladly spend my money elsewhere. Good luck finding all the dirty treasures stashed in your hotel from your disgruntled housekeeping crew. Because if you treat paying guests like this, you probably treat your employees worse. read more

Be warned: there are several churches nearby with bell towers. The stone structures are pretty but those bell towers mean you will not have restful sleep past 9 am. The morning bells give way to long concerts and even without a hangover headache it was LOUD and annoying. Sounds like the bells are chiming in your room. As others said, rooms are outdated. If you're spending time in AC, be prepared to spend $50-65 on cab fare each way. My recommendation: stay far away from the bell towers and closer to AC. Or, bring your best ear plugs. Pretty nice place that's pricey which keeps the Riff Raff out. Short walk to the beach. Rooms are clean an decently sized with a small kitchenette, and 2 TV's. Each room has a safe which s a plus, and the AC is ice cold. The only problem I've had is I've stayed here 3 times and each time one of the elevators is not working which causes a wait to get to your room or to the street. As far as the stay goes for Biscayne Suites, it wasn't bad. There wasn't a lot of lighting in the rooms but the rooms were more spacious but otherwise the same as other OCNJ hotels. The reason I'm not rating this higher is because the lady at the front desk would not wear her mask during the entirety of our stay no matter who was around. NOT ONCE did I see this blond haired lady wear a mask despite sitting in front of a sign the reminds EVERYONE else to wear a mask as soon as they enter the building. I don't know what makes her feel as though she is exempt from this. It was apparent that she was making other guests feel uncomfortable as well, but she didn't care. As a business they should educate employees on the importance of masks and hold those accountable that refuse to wear one which further puts others at risk. read more

Are you kidding me? Our room is $378 per night with tax (this is what you pay in Manhattan). This place is the equivalent of a Days Inn or Motel 6. Terrible quality mattress, towels that are so think they are practically paper towels. No amenities, one elevator broken so takes forever to get an elevator. A bathroom that is so small, in the living room, you can barely have room for a toothbrush and toothpaste. Sleezy, terrible place. If I could get a refund I would leave immediately. read more

The location is great. There are zero amenities at this hotel despite it being a costly place to stay. They don't even have someone to help you with your bags. There is a huge amount of discrepancy between rooms. We were in town with two other couples and our room was considerably less nice than theirs. Our room had damage, it was dark, and it looked like the Golden Girls decorated it. There were soaps and shampoo in the shower in a dispenser that looks like you might find it in a locker room. Our door wouldn't consistently open, and when we first informed the hotel they told us that we weren't opening it properly. I know how to open a door. It wasn't until the last night of our stay that they acknowledged that the mechanism in the lock was broken but they still did not offer any compensation other than packing up all of our belongings and moving to another room when we were leaving the next day anyway. Biscayne Suites is trying to become 5-star, but failing greatly. The parking situation is wretched, very to park with the pillars everywhere, and especially difficult if you are either handicap or children with car seats. Then the room, well first don't plan to read, most lights don't work, bulbs burned out, the floor in the living room area crackled when walked on the grout no longer present/ cracked. One of the outlets nightstand didn't work, please understand, its a double outlet, the bottom worked for a lamp and the top didn't, on the opposite side the lamp didn't work but outlet did. This is an electrical problem. The TV worked oddly, and the lettering on it very faded, you struggle to turn it on, and never could lower the volume. Worst of all the mattress, so uncomfortable, like wet cement, avoid if you have back problems. Upon checkout the front clerk couldn't issue a receipt, he stated never trained on how to that, and frankly didn't seem to care either, by the way not wearing an uniform or even shirt with hotel name. Lastly, I notice a cheaper photocopied flyer in the lobby they were trying to sell 2 units one for $198,000 and the other $225,000 they had the basic features that all guests had except to own. We were very lucky to stay in the presidential suite with five adults and two kids aged 2 and 7m. The space was good- two bedrooms and. a large living area with a table and a kitchen. Two blocks to the beach and right in the heart of he Boardwalk area. Only complaint about room was the decor was a little dark but I can get over that! Only one parking spot but we found one on street easy enough. The rooftop pool was a bit small but we still had fun up there. Overall great place! read more

Room is comfortable and clean. Stayed during off season. Furniture is outdated, rattan furniture used in the living room. Small kitchen with a very small refrigerator. Towels provided are thick. Cleaning lady is great. Reception desk mailed back to me a camera charger that the cleaning lady found when we checked out. Parking spaces are small for a full size suv. I like this place mainly because it's clean, it has wide halls in each floor, and it's got a rooftop swimming pool.From the rooftop, you can see the skyline of the nearby Atlantic city. Our room's clean, quite, and sound-proof. My companions and myself stayed somewhere on the second floor, and our room accommodated very well the 3 of us, plus our guests who would show up during our stay from their lodgings somewhere else in this city. I also like the fact that I could easily get coffee from the lobby, as we were just on the 2nd floor, and very close to the elevator. The elevator look cramp, I should say. But service of staff, at least those I've met, has been great and friendly. I recall seeing an old picture of this place from one of the framed pictures on the top-most floor that shows it's been around since the early years of the 20th century, which got me somewhat surprised. read more

We stayed here for 3 days recently and found everything to be very satisfactory! The staff was especially accommodating and pleasant. Our room was clean and comfortable. Things like tight parking and low lighting don't concern me. We had a clean room that was well taken care of. We aren't in there long enough! My family and I just got back from a week long trip to Ocean City, New Jersey. We chose The Biscayne Suites due to its spacious floor plan allowing our toddler to roam and play. The rooms have a nice sized living room with a pool out couch, place to eat, and a Vizio TV. The middle of the suite is divided into a kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen had a college sized refrigerator, but it was big enough for us. We needed lots of milk and fruit for our little boy. The bedroom is as big as the living room which, again, allowed our son room to roam. We felt we had enough space for each of us. The bedroom led to a nice balcony to people and car watch. The rooftop pool was fantastic. My son loved it. We could also look out over Ocean City and Atlantic City. The beach and boardwalk are a short two blocks away. There are also plenty of restaurants to eat at in walking distance as well as still waters where I got a massage. The are only two complaints I have. The room was either luke warm or really cold. Which I'm used to because that's how my house is. I have gotten used to sleeping in winter pajamas even in the summer, but I'm comfortable. The second complaint is that the cleaning staff wasn't emptying the garbage cans. We moved them t high ground so our son wouldn't get into them. My husband ended up putting the garbage in the hall daily and putting the new liners in. Other than that, we can't wait to go back next year. Dara B. read more

The pool was nice although the space lacked an escape from the sun. The room was clean and spacious, but the lamp and the phone in the living room were not working. The uncomfortableness of the king bed was only outdone by the pillows, which seemed to be made out of rock. Sleep was limited, but the pain in our necks and backs lasted throughout the day. If you choose to stay here, bring flashlights, pillows, and a blowup mattress. read more
