The sofa is falling apart and the furniture is all torn apart.

My wife and I rented a "suite" for a weekend getaway and this is not what we expected. The pictures on the website of the suite room(120) is not what we walked into this past weekend. Aside from the smell in the room and lights not working the pictures I've provided do not do justice to what we had to deal with this weekend. The king size bed was horrible and like we were sleeping on springs and no matter where you laid on the bed you ended up in the middle. The blankets were hard, smelled and should have been thrown away 30 years ago. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at and highly recommend someone sleeping in their car instead of wasting money on this place. The only good thing about this place is the location but even the parking lot is so tight that you risk damaging your car parking in the lot.

Parking spots are very tight. This was parking between a pillar and right at the line on the other side of the spot.

The room was a decent size, we stayed in a unit with a bedroom, kitchenette, living room and a walk through bathroom. The rooms and bedding appeared clean. We arrived a few hours early and the ladies at the front desk were very pleasant and accommodating in allowing me to check in early to get my beach tag and parking pass and offered a phone call when the room was ready to move into. The pool and outdoor deck area were well maintained as well on the top floor. I wasn't really blown away with the place for the price we payed because it was just a very generic hotel setup with not a lot of things that set it apart and above the competition. There were a few things I would like to mention that were not favorable to this location. First, the room we stayed in was very dark. There were a few lamps in the front room but it still was very dark. The parking...I had the biggest problem with the parking. If you drive a compact car, you'll be golden but as you pull into the parking lot you see a lot of trucks and SUV's crammed into extremely small and tight spaces. Most spaces as pillars in the spaces as well so if you drive a larger vehicle proceed with caution (I drive a Toyota Tundra). The parking situation really made me not even want to leave the hotel and come back because I didn't want to deal with the squeeze. The water pressure in the shower really wasn't all that strong which made cleaning the ocean water out of long and thick hair a little difficult. Overall the hotel did its job and provide a place to stay at night but I'm not sure if I'll stay again, not while I drive my truck anyway.

Me and the kids spent this past week here again at the number 2 condo this hotel offers. This accommodation has it all. Easily fits six people. Very modern. Clean. Safe.

My friends and I were very excited to stay in the "presidential suite". Unfortunately, the presidential suite is just a fancy name given to a mediocre room. The room was big, sure. It had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a large living area. However, the whole place smelled of smoke. The room itself is nonsmoking, but we figured that the smoking area for the hotel is just below the deck so every time a person opens the master bedroom windows or deck doors, smoke wafts into the who place. Everything we brought into the room smelled of smoke once we left. Luckily, the place is relatively close to the beach and other places nearby so we were able to walk around. Would not stay here again.

Biscayne Suites I wanted so badly to like this place. I had been recommended to rent here, by 2 friends, for a last minute, place for family visiting. It appeared clean and seems to be run by very nice front desk staff. I rented a larger suite for my brother, his fiancee and sister to stay, since I couldn't accommodate them all at my place. They arrived late night from traveling, and pretty much went to sleep immediately. The sister woke up in the morning, on the sofa bed, which was pre-made up already for her when we checked in, to a used, dirty, sticky rubber/latex glove rolled up in the sheets next to her. Upon first looking it appeared to be something else. Nonetheless it was still disgusting. This also brought up, the thought, where these sheets even clean? She called me. Sent a picture. I came right over and went to the front desk. The desk host seemed genuinely apologetic and said she would discuss with the owner or manager. Called me about 15mins later, said they could offer me $30breakfast credit or $50 future rental credit. (1st thought, why two different $ amounts? 2nd thought, they really don't think I'll be rebooking anytime soon, do they?!) I said great, I'll take the credit on my current charge as a refund. Was then told they cant process a charge credit. Which I know is total B.S. If you can refund a deposit, you can refund a charge at anytime. (As a business owner, I know how credit processing works too.) I was told its not their policy to refund monies. I said thats silly, but fine, was happy to take the offer of $50 in the breakfast credit. Why the difference? Doesnt make sense. I was told in a snippy reply, "it's a courtesy offer, this is it." A courtesy for what?! Leaving a dirty rubber glove in our bed?! A courtesy for being an inappropriately managed business, that doesn't check if rooms are properly cleaned for check in? Or a courtesy for conducting business poorly and not caring that your paying guests are satisfied. Such a wonderful "courtesy". I didn't want my money back in entirety. I wasn't asking for that. I simply don't understand why you wouldn't make the "apology" offer the same amount, and a choice to make you unhappy guest feel like they have an fair option. Reluctantly I took the breakfast offer. Knowing that at least it would be for a nearby restaurant. Not at the suites, thank goodness, as I question their cleanliness. (Also let's note that at no time did anyone come to remove the dirty glove or come see what was in the sofa bed. It stayed there for the next 3 hours.) Upon my guests checking out from #117 (I mention the unit, so the owners of this unit, consider dealing with the property management separately and the poor representation of handling their "suite's" guests).... As my guests check out later in the morning they heard the front desk lady (Melba) whom I spoke with in detail, talking smack on me, that she felt I thought I was bitchy and entitled to something more. Well you know what, Melba? You're damn right I am entitled, I am entitled to a hygienically clean unit rental in your hotel. And proper compensation if that is not provided. This was a disgusting thing to have happen. And you know it. I was nothing but nice to you. And you in turn made the possibility of me ever reconsidering this place as a potential for visiting guests, now a complete impossibility. You made the choice to talk about me and had my family over hear it. Good job! I hope your managers like how you treat guests. Yes. This experience probably doesn't happen in every unit. But it happened in mine. How you handle the event is how the guest remembers their stay and experience. This could have easily been correctly, but you and your business owner/manager handled this poorly. I will gladly spend my money elsewhere. Good luck finding all the dirty treasures stashed in your hotel from your disgruntled housekeeping crew. Because if you treat paying guests like this, you probably treat your employees worse.

Nice, clean rooms. We stayed in room 302, ocean view. Room is a little outdated, they are individually owned, however, rent through management. 2 blocks from the beach and right in the center of town. Location is fantastic, parking is included as well as beach badges. Would stay here again, the rooftop pool is a plus!

Fuse panel by my bed, never seen one so apparent before.

I really dislike leaving a negative review as there are several nice things about the hotel…read more However, everything I am writing below, I told directly to the hotel. Booking this hotel was a nightmare. I called to get a rate and ask questions. I called 4x and no one picked up. Out of desperation, I finally sent an email. I got a call the next day with a rate. However, when I tried to book that rate online, it was different. So, now I am trying to call the hotel again. Again, called 3x and no one picks up so I leave a message. I get a returned call and am told the online booking "includes a resort fee, but we can put that back on your credit card or I can take your card over the phone with the lower rate." I opted to pay over the phone (for the record, it's one of those hotels that charges you for using a credit card.). I was told to call the day before our arrival and advise when I'd like to check in because they would try to accommodate. This is a nice gesture and I appreciate it, but it's not nice when you call and guess what? No one picks up! We called the morning of our arrival and they did accommodate an early check in which was nice. You should know that you check in in 1 building and walk to another where you are actually staying. There is no security. Anyone can walk into the hotel (no lobby). You are literally walking into a hall with an elevator and there are no safeguards like needing a room key to make the elevator work. (They use old fashioned keys.) Room was cheerful, clean and looked like the photos. Our bathroom had a window that the view was a hallway. You had to put a screen down or people walking bay could see into your bathroom/shower. Odd. I would also say the walls are very thin. You can hear everyone and anyone walking past your door, etc. We went to OC for First Night and spend NYE having a wonderful time there, but when got back at midnight, there was no hot water. None. We were all freezing and none of us could take a shower. Sadly, I called the "front desk" and surprise! No one picked up. I called 3x. When I checked out, they said "The envelope with the keys had an emergency phone number on it. You should have called that. This makes no sense. The info on the phone in the room gives you a front desk number. I explained my frustration. The desk person said he'd try to get some compensation. 2 days later I got an email that $30 was taken off the room. I called to confirm this was for the lack of hot water. The same man who was at check out is who I spoke to. "I was able to discount the room rate, but I need to discuss with the owners anything else. I will call you on Tuesday and let you know what happens." Today is Wednesday and never heard from them. I am rating them "poor" because they never followed up. I had no expectations about further compensation, but please please please don't say you will follow and then not do so. Poor form.

New Ownership -Worst Stay EVER in 21 years of staying!…read moreTahiti Inn apartments (now called Ocean's Edge Luxury Apartments) are FAR from LUXURY. Still part of the Inn, but new name and false advertising. We have been coming here for 21 years - and this year we stayed in June AND July. our stay in June was the first under new management. Our "luxury" apartment, in which we have stayed in every year for two decades... was recently remodeled. We knew there had been a remodel and new management and were willing to pay the immense price hike. We were looking forward to seeing the updates, only to find: We requested and paid for a large apartment (advertised) and received a small apartment. When questioned, we were told it is the same square footage. But Apartment #11 (for anyone checking in) has a MICRO - kitchen and it is not the same. - Our apartment was unfinished. Sheetrock dust everywhere. No furniture, other than three beds and a couch, two lamps. - The windows were not covered. Curtains laying in closest on the floor. The curtain hooks were hung with weak hardware, and were falling off the wall. (pics below.) We requested they be fixed for privacy. This was never resolved. - No dresser or stand for any suitcases. - TV's did not work, and no help came to fix this when we requested assistance. - TV internet did not work. Still no assistance. - No blow drier. - We purchased groceries for our stay, to wake up the next morning to find the refrigerator was not working. They replaced this for us. - Kitchen area had no place to plug in toaster. We had to use the bedroom floor (only outlet with remodel) to make toast. - No broom, dustpan (OCEAN=SAND) - And management is only on site periodically. Staff cannot assist unless with permission of management. - Water dripping from light in bathroom. - Hot water only in one bathroom shower at a time. - One roll toilet paper per bathroom. - Four towels between two bathrooms. - No cleaning service provided unless asked, and we had to find a random broom/dustpan, garbage bags, and never received a blow drier, even after requesting twice.(Every hotel big and small, has a blow drier.) - Mold on patio walls. - Staff sat outside apartments in chairs while our family exited and entered doors, - Ladders and hoses everywhere. Little kids trying to climb and use. - No ice machine. - No sand rinse station anymore. All sand comes back to your room with you. - Pool was closed off and on for repairs. - Occupants repeatedly smoking on our patio. Reservation clearly states NO smoking premise. - Management we dealt with was rude and impersonal. - We took a few photos to show management upon check-in, with concern of being charged for damage. - The remodel is an upgrade as far as "appearance," in the apartments, but other than that - after 21 years, we won't be returning unless there is new management, acknowledgement of the issues, and major improvements and follow up sent. This was in June/July 2025. All of the provisions listed on website were false. If you choose to book at the Tahiti Inn apartments (now Ocean's Edge Luxury Apartments,) pack everything you need from home, because you will not find it here. We really miss the outstanding service and care from previous owners.

My mom and I just needed a place to sleep and shower for a weekend trip so this was fine for us. The pool area is 1960s tiki themed which was actually pretty cool to see and if they fully embraced this theme and updated a few features (bathrooms in particular) it could be a real gem. Beds were fine and there was a working TV. Basics but that's all we needed. Location wise it was perfect for us as it was just a 10 min or less walk to the boardwalk. Parking is first come first serve for the good spots. We didn't have too bad of a time but got in late Friday night thanks to Philly traffic and had to take the last spot available, by the bike racks. We had to move a few bikes to avoid hitting them. If you park by the Jilly's Arcade make sure you park on the LEFT facing the hotel. They had parking spots marked for the arcade and will tow/charge you if you accidently park there. Staff were friendly but we called ahead of time for a late check in, were told the office was open till 10pm, but then received a call at 9pm asking when we were going to arrive. Luckily we were only 10 min away but if your hours are until 10pm and we called earlier with our ETA why did we get another call asking out arrival time? Lack of communication I think. Also watch their "Specials" on the website for pricing. It doesn't include the NJ taxes. We called for the $88 a night special and after taxes ended up being $130 a night. We asked about the increase and were just told "We don't always update the website prices..." So CALL and ask for an ENTIRE price (rate + taxes) for your stay and ask if a special is still available. I believe the hotel is for sale as we saw a manager, a relator and 2 business looking people going in and out of rooms (that were hopefully unoccupied as it was a no vacancy when we were there) taking photos. I overheard the manager explaining features and mechanical/staff rooms so it's probably going to change hands soon. Overall solid place with the essentials, close to the board walk for a nice weekend trip. Just double check your bill that your rate is correct.
