I really dislike leaving a negative review as there are several nice things about the hotel. However, everything I am writing below, I told directly to the hotel. Booking this hotel was a nightmare. I called to get a rate and ask questions. I called 4x and no one picked up. Out of desperation, I finally sent an email. I got a call the next day with a rate. However, when I tried to book that rate online, it was different. So, now I am trying to call the hotel again. Again, called 3x and no one picks up so I leave a message. I get a returned call and am told the online booking "includes a resort fee, but we can put that back on your credit card or I can take your card over the phone with the lower rate." I opted to pay over the phone (for the record, it's one of those hotels that charges you for using a credit card.). I was told to call the day before our arrival and advise when I'd like to check in because they would try to accommodate. This is a nice gesture and I appreciate it, but it's not nice when you call and guess what? No one picks up! We called the morning of our arrival and they did accommodate an early check in which was nice. You should know that you check in in 1 building and walk to another where you are actually staying. There is no security. Anyone can walk into the hotel (no lobby). You are literally walking into a hall with an elevator and there are no safeguards like needing a room key to make the elevator work. (They use old fashioned keys.) Room was cheerful, clean and looked like the photos. Our bathroom had a window that the view was a hallway. You had to put a screen down or people walking bay could see into your bathroom/shower. Odd. I would also say the walls are very thin. You can hear everyone and anyone walking past your door, etc. We went to OC for First Night and spend NYE having a wonderful time there, but when got back at midnight, there was no hot water. None. We were all freezing and none of us could take a shower. Sadly, I called the "front desk" and surprise! No one picked up. I called 3x. When I checked out, they said "The envelope with the keys had an emergency phone number on it. You should have called that. This makes no sense. The info on the phone in the room gives you a front desk number. I explained my frustration. The desk person said he'd try to get some compensation. 2 days later I got an email that $30 was taken off the room. I called to confirm this was for the lack of hot water. The same man who was at check out is who I spoke to. "I was able to discount the room rate, but I need to discuss with the owners anything else. I will call you on Tuesday and let you know what happens." Today is Wednesday and never heard from them. I am rating them "poor" because they never followed up. I had no expectations about further compensation, but please please please don't say you will follow and then not do so. Poor form. read more

Noisy. That said, because there is no carpet, you can hear talk n sharp sounds from your neighbors. Forget about the floor above you. Central airs a bonus, n bathroom s are clean and shower massage a really good addition. Pool nice, 4 foot and saltwater. Beds are comfortable. Towels aplenty. Elevator iffy, sometimes runs, otherwise you ll have to lug luggage up stairway. read more

This is a brand new suite hotel in Ocean City, New Jersey. They just opened, so everything is fresh and new, but there are a few minor details they are still working on. Overall, the rooms are very well-appointed with wood floors, a fully-tiled shower / tub, attractive furnishings and very comfortable beds. The service here is excellent. They are affiliated with the Impala Island Inn, across the street, where the check-in office is located. The location is literally (yes it's cliche) "steps from the boardwalk." Beach Tags are provided for each guest, but must be returned when you check out. Parking is on the first floor of the building, with convenient stairs and elevator up to the rooms. There is a modest pool and pool area available, as well as a nice patio or balcony depending on the room you are in. read more

What a great location! We really enjoyed being close to the rides, boardwalk and beach. -Check-in is across the street at the Impala Inn -There is one parking spot per room in the garage -There is no ice machine yet, there is no laundry yet and all the signs in the hallways are hand written. I imagine this will all be updated by next summer -We stayed in a three bedroom suite on the second floor, rooms 204, 205 and 206. -Room 205 consists of a kitchen, living area and bedroom. The bedroom has a window to a hallway that is for employees only. I will attach a picture. Every morning at 9am you can clearly hear conversations as the housekeeping team is starting their day. I'm not sure I understand the point of the window. -In the kitchen, they give you a coffee pot and filters, but no coffee. We bought some on the boardwalk but remember to bring some with you! Rooms 204 and 206 had no coffee pot but they did have a mini fridge and microwave. -We could hear the footsteps from the people staying upstairs. They also appeared to move the furniture quite a bit. Keep in mind that If you are on floor 2 or 3, you will have people above you. Had I known I would have asked for the 4th floor We really enjoyed the location and I bet by next summer it will be running smoothly. read more

Nice place and the people are friendly and accommodating. Bed was wayyy too soft and there is no Table or chest to put your clothes into if you are staying for an extended time but overall a nice place and very convenient to boardwalk! read more

First the good: Location a block from the boardwalk at Playland, and a few blocks from Asbury Ave is great. (However, it's not "steps from the boardwalk" as claimed in another review). The three bedroom suite layout was also perfect for our multigenerational 7 person vacation. The cleaning staff was unusually friendly and helpful. But unfortunately, there was everything else: - Despite the hotel being brand new, there was already non-negligible damage to our room (e.g. electronic blinds didn't work in multiple rooms, hole in the wall from overzealous door opening, etc...) - Hotel website claims "Guests can utilize the coin operated laundry room on-site." This is NOT true. The laundry room was literally devoid of machines. The check-in desk at the affiliated Impala Island Inn told us that we needed to use the laundry facilities at Ebb Tide Suites, half a block away. And even then one of their machines ate my money and didn't work. - Pool is tiny. More like a glorified hot tub, minus the hot. - Most notably, the building itself did not feel finished. It was like the builder was running behind scheduled and rushed to get it open in time for the summer season. For example, the aforementioned laundry room. Proper signs indicated floors are missing in stairwells with hand-scribbled papers taking their place. Our room was missing a door threshold between one of the bedrooms and the common area (leaving a strip of bare plywood exposed); the threshold between interior doors is mostly cosmetic so on one hand, not a big deal. But it literally takes 30 seconds to install one, so kinda bizarre for it to be missing. But here is the real head scratcher: the parking garage under the hotel doesn't look finished (a few pictures attached). I know I am biased by the recent Miami condo collapse, but some of the major load-bearing columns didn't seem properly lined up, Drywall tape is exposed and peeling, and in some cases missing altogether. Maybe this is all cosmetic too, but I just can't imagine a builder looking over that work, in a major hotel, and saying "Yeah, that's good enough". If they think visible work that shoddy is acceptable, imagine what non-visible stuff they also thought was fine. I'm not a contractor or a structural engineer, so I'm not making any specific accusations. I can only say how I felt, and I honestly didn't feel safe staying here. We are heading to the Flanders for the next time I'm in OC. read more

I stayed at the suites for one night romantic getaway. You need to check in across the street which was a short walk. Upon walking in I was some what greeted by a young girl that had just looked like she just rolled out of bed and couldn't be bothered. I asked her what restaurants are open because it is off season. She gave me a half shrug, sighed and said not sure. I did try to ask some other questions but she just handle me my keys and walked away towards the back. Walked back over to the suites and as we were getting off the elevator two maintenance man were getting on the elevator with lit cigarettes. Saw them later smoking again by the pool. The room was ok. The bed was very soft and sagging in the middle. There was no couch or table. which was fine because we were only staying a couple of nights. Room was very clean but had a smoke smell to it. I could hear the room next store whole conversation and their tv. Also the people above us walking all night. The rooms obviously have no sound proofing. I can't imagine what it sounds like when the hotel is full in the summer. Later that night around 1030pm we had trouble with the heater not working called the front desk no answer. There was a small piece of paper with my keys about if any emergency call these numbers. I did called all the numbers listed but not one person picked up. Around midnight my husband went to get ice from ice maker in the hallway. He notice a bunch of young boys skateboarding in the hallways pulling on doors, he did chase them off. We did find out later the office closes at 4 and there's nobody around after hours. Upon checking out ask the same young girl (Amanda? ) when I checked in if I could speak to the manager so I could tell them about less then great stay. She said it was his day off. Asked about the security issue of the young boys looking to get in the rooms if they can review the cameras. She laughed and said we don't even have cameras over there! But she will tell the manager about it. I told her please have him contact me. After over 5 days and not getting a call back I eventually called back on a Saturday around noon to get a answer. Asked if I could talk to the manager again. I was told he's left early to a doctor's appointment and he won't be back until tomorrow. Was informed that "the manager did know what happened and he will eventually get back to us". Still waiting for a call back. I made this reservation by calling the hotel directly. I was charged me a 25.00 resort fee and small credit card fee. Was never told about this until I saw my bill. $25 resort fee in the winter is crazy for what? A frozen pool, workers smoking everywhere and kids that aren't staying at the hotel walking around trying to get into rooms. For the price we did paid for during off season vacation I do except something better. I would give zero star if I could just for lack of security and the management not getting back to me. read more

The location is fantastic, the rooms were spotless and the staff were terrific! We realized that the hotel was just opened so there were still some minor kinks to work out but we are ready to rent for next year!! We loved the fact that it was a multi-generational set-up in that 3 rooms were separate yet joined! And the location couldn't be better in the middle of the OC Boardwalk! We had thought that the noise level would have been an issue but instead we delighted in the sights and sounds of the roller coaster on the boardwalk. I actually found myself riveted to watching the roller coaster which, by the way, was perfectly silent while it made it's way through loops and turns! Looking forward to our next stay! read more

This place was great!! Private balcony that looked at the beach. And it is seriously steps to the boardwalk. The roller coasters seemed to be in arms length!! They were superiorly clean and complete with everything wanted in a vacation rental! I wish we had our full vaca there!! read more

The Impala Suites are fantastic! Stayed in a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom suite. There was plenty of room for our family of 10. The balconies were a great size! The kitchen had a full sized refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, plates, silverware, glasses, pots, and pans. Very close to the boardwalk and only a few blocks from downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful. read more

Best hotel in Ocean City. The new suites are a great location for the boardwalk and beach. The staff is welcoming, suites are clean and spacious. I have stayed in many locations in Ocean City however this is far the best for families. The setup was perfect with a kitchen and two bedrooms with two baths all with decks. The decor gives that great beachy feeling and the beds are very comfortable. Housekeeping was attentive. Definitely a return vacation spot. read more

The location is great but overall we were disappointed. Spent 3 nights with two of my girlfriends for a girls getaway. We were given a one bedroom with a microwave and small refrigerator. We had to upgrade to a one-bedroom suite so one of us had to sleep on a pull-out sofa bed. There were no closets, no icemaker in the refrigerator (we had to go across the street to the Impala motel to get ice). The dishwasher did not work and would periodically beep; it appeared that it was stuck in mid-cycle. There were ant traps in the kitchen and we did see ants in the bathroom. There were no towel hooks to hang towels in the bathroom. There were no glasses in the kitchen. We used plastic cups that were by the ice bucket. They are using old-fashioned keys instead of key cards and at times it was hard to open the door with the key. There is no railing at the pool so we could not use it because it was difficult for us to get into the pool (we are in our 70s). Had to use the pool across the street at the Impala motel. The walls are thin and we could hear conversations next door. We were also concerned about security. The entrance is through the parking garage and anyone off the street could walk in and use the elevator. I would suggest switching to a key card which would also operate the door to the elevator and the elevator itself. read more
