I wanted to provide a review of the Compassion Cafe LBI that is held Monday - Thursday from 7am -…read more11am at The Sea Shell Resort & Beach Club. Compassion Cafe seeks the integration of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through hands-on training and employment in a small coffee shop environment. By providing meaningful, paid employment for teens and adults with special needs, our employees will gain independence, self-confidence, and work skills for a successful future. WHAT an incredible and moving idea. The cold brew was PERFECT and I was even able to take away some dog treats that my doggers will enjoy. It was so nice to be able to meet some of the employees, support a great cause and enjoy some delicious coffee. Kudos to Sea Shell for hosting this cafe for the 2025 season!

Writing this review to warn people booking off season stays! I've stayed here many times in July…read moreand August and had a great time. Recently just stayed the second weekend of May for Mother's Day weekend and was very disappointed. I inquired prior to booking to ask if the pool would be open and they said yes so I booked rooms for me, my sisters and their kids. I figured May is hit or miss, but at least if the weather isn't great we could just hang out in the heated pool. Unfortunately they do not disclose prior to booking, or when I inquired about the pool, that the pool and pool deck is blocked off and you can only go in a small area on the shallow end if they are having a wedding. Well ends up, they had weddings both Friday and Saturday. I think in the off season months May, June, September, October this is very common here. Pretty much the entire premises was blocked off both days for weddings. We tried to go down to the tiki bar Friday evening around 7/8pm (which was the only place open for guests not going to the wedding) and it was closed already so there was really nothing on the premises for us to do. The rooms are too small to really hang out in (no couch or table). We did go to the tiki bar earlier in the day and the guys working there were nice, food and drinks were good. The palms trees were not installed yet, didn't know they wouldn't be there.. I had told my nieces and nephews about the palm trees because I always thought it adds something special to the ambiance. I called a couple days prior to our stay to request if our rooms could be next to each other. They said they could not put us next to each other, which was not a big deal, but then unfortunately we could hear everything through the walls of the rooms next to us. Saturday night we were surrounded on both sides by people staying for the weddings and although they just were talking in their rooms when they came up around 11pm, the walls are so thin that we could pretty much make out their entire conversation, which went on until after 1am. All in all it was a disappointing weekend. If we had only known, we would have stayed somewhere closer to home with more to do and less expensive.

To ride on the boardwalk on a beautiful Sunday morning is a an experience that is unforgettable. There are people that travel long distances to be at this event. They give trophies to the longest distance traveler. I noticed an older gentleman with tears in his eyes as he was looking at my car. His wife told me he just had surgery and his last wish is to see the Corvette he once owned, a 1982 Collector Edition Corvette. I gave him a full tour of my car, I explained I had the car recently rebuilt to my specifications. I let him sit in my car as his family cried and took pictures. And thats what automobiles do to people, they create an emotional connection. I've owned my car for over 30 years, I bought it when I came back from the military. I booked my ticket for next year to the Ocean City Boardwalk. It's something that I look forward to every year, taking a drive with my wife and enjoying the long weekend on the Jersey shore.

The balcony is wonderful!…read more The bathroom was spacious but there are no hooks by the shower for towels. The hook for the hand towel is so low, the towel goes right into the sink. We couldn't understand why the tub, sink, and toilet were on top of each other when there was so much room to spread out -- including an almost empty bathroom closet. There is no "Constant Fan" option on the thermostat. The cost of parking, $186, is excessive. That alone would prohibit us from returning to Club Wyndham. Check-in is bizarre: One has to pull their car up to the garage entrance, leave it double-parked in the street, and then walk through entering/exiting garage traffic to check in before being able to park the car. It is both stressful and dangerous and poorly planned. If not for Niaz's help, we would not have known what to do. Otherwise, the room was wonderful (except for the on/off Wifi and bathroom) and the security is exceptional. We also loved the efficiency of the elevators (wish check-in and parking worked as smoothly). But the entire staff is fantastic and the hotel is spotless -- everywhere. We did have a great stay but parking and weak Wifi prevents us from giving the property five stars.

My wife and I were just married and decided to honeymoon in Turks and Caicos. A friend recommended…read moreWindsong so we booked a weeklong stay. We were incredibly excited to spend our once in a life time honeymoon in such a beautiful place, but felt underwhelmed and honestly disappointed with the whole experience. Renovations: We knew this time of year would be slower (October 2025) and that's okay. What we didn't know was that 2/3 of the resort would be closed for renovations. I understand facilities will eventually need work and slow season would be the time to do it, but there was no communication about it until we were already there. Had we known we probably would've chosen a different resort. Thursday and Fridays morning we were woken up due to construction noises. NOT the kind of thing you'd expect at a place like this. Staff: Some of the staff was friendly; I would say most. Johnny the bartender was awesome. There were a few encounters however where staff didn't seem to care and they never once apologized for 2/3 of the resort being closed or offered anything to make up for it--a complimentary bottle of wine, a coupon to use at the spa, etc. I'm not looking for handouts, but after working in hospitality for over a decade I know you want your guests to feel welcome; especially on special occasions, such as this. Over the course of a week, only once were we greeted at the beach by a waitress to ask us if we wanted anything to drink or eat. I found this odd because you would think during a slow season it would be the opposite. I always tip at least 20% so it wouldn't have been the staff avoiding us due to not tipping. There is no Uber or Lyft so you have to call taxis to go everywhere if you don't rent a car. The concierge was helpful here and every time they got a taxi booked quickly, which was appreciated. Upon checking out I noticed there was a charge for a bottle of wine we did not consume. When I mentioned it I was told by the manager she would not be removing the charge and just walked away. I was honestly shocked. I was surprised by this treatment after every other place we had been to in Turks had the most friendly and kind people. I would suggest a different resort based on this alone. Facilities: Everyone was crammed into one corner of the resort because everything as closed. They played the same song on repeat all week. I'm not even exaggerating here. The same song on repeat all week. The beach was beautiful and our room was gorgeous. The AC worked very well and we slept like a rock when not being woken up by construction. The main pool was drained for work so they told us to use the 2 swim out pools attached to the first floor rooms patios. It felt uncomfortable swimming here and like we were intruding on the privacy of the people who booked those rooms. I feel bad for those who did book those rooms expecting a somewhat private swim out pool. Food: All the food was great. The food in Turks & Caicos was remarkable and better than we expected. Overall it looks like Windsong has the potential to be a great place to vacation, but for us it did not live up to expectations. There are so many options for tropical destinations and resorts that you should not settle for anything less than amazing, and unfortunately Windsong was not that. Save yourself a potential let down and stay somewhere else.
