A last minute decision to take a quick overnight for my birthday brought us here. It was appealing, since it was only 1 block from the boardwalk and one of my favorite eateries, Manco & Manco's Pizza. Check in was smooth, front desk very friendly and accommodating. Our room, with two queen beds, was as described. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. It's not the Four Seasons but perfect for what we needed. We'll be staying again.

What appears to be vomit on the side of the bed.

If I could give no stars I would. Upon arrival, I thought the motel was wonderful. The photos of the motel looked gorgeous when booking, but when you gave it a closer look, it was not even close to what was advertised. I'm trying to figure out where all these great reviews are coming from. Probably people that know the owners etc., because this place is FAR from clean and superb. As we walked into our room, even my husband, who is not one to notice things like this, commented on how many crumbs and hairs and bits of debris were on the floors. I thought OK may be an honest mistake and they just forgot to vacuum and wipe some things down. We gave it a further look and almost everything had hair on it from the microwave to the bed. There were was food on the mini fridge. There was vomit or what looked like vomit, on the side of the bed when we turn down the covers. (This we noticed on the last night, unfortunately.) My husband went downstairs to alert the front desk of the dirty room when we first got there, and they said with that they would send someone up to clean. No one ever came. Apparently they said they sent someone up and they heard voices in the room and knocked, but didn't come in because we didn't let them in. This made no sense because we weren't even in the room during this time. We had alerted them we would be leaving and it would be OK to go inside. When we got back from the boardwalk later that day, everything was still filthy. I went down to the front desk to alert them myself, and she said they had tried to come up but we weren't there and the maintenance man had left for the day. That he would return tomorrow. Fast forward, tomorrow came and they came to "clean" and they made the beds and literally everything else was left untouched. The one woman at the front desk even walked up with me and I showed her the toenails or fingernails, hair etc. she said it would be taken care of. Long story short, it never was. We were followed up by texts from the hotel asking how we would rate the hotel. No one ever followed up with our concerns or displeasure with our stay. We didn't make a big deal about it because we saw we were getting no where. We even overheard another couple make a comment about how it looks like nothing is ever cleaned at this hotel when we were by the pool. When talking, we found out this family felt the same way. Their room was dirty. On top of that, the pool always was dirty. We all took turns skimming so much hair and such out of the pool. Listen, for the price, the cleanliness or desire to fix the over l-site should not have been and issue. Also want to note that the "maintenance/maids" didn't even have a vacuum with them while making rounds. I would not recommend this place. Ocean city is a great place but this experience put a damper on my first time here for sure! *my kids also came down with something, which is not surprising. Who knows what kind of germ they picked up at this place.

They are not renovatED; they are renovatING. Our first room had no curtains, only sheers, and was unacceptable. Our next room had an adjoining room door that was too thin and did not suppress sound at all. We heard any whine from the child in the room next door, so it was also unacceptable. The room we finally stayed in was not ready for occupancy. Our bed table was an extra mini-fridge that was sitting there. No bureau to place our stuff, and the room chairs were the metal ones that could be used outside. No coffeemaker of any kind, and absolutely no storage in the bathroom or shower. We had to place our supplies on the low step of the shower and reach down for them. There's also no safety/grab bar in the shower or bathroom. So, if you have trouble standing or bending, good luck in the bathroom. Only saving grace is that the beds were comfortable and the shower itself was roomy and the water flow was great, even while doing Pilates while reaching and stretching for our shampoo and soap. Never found an ice machine, and wasn't too disappointed since I can't imagine it being clean and sanitary. We've been here before, but it's been a few years, and they have newer owners. They should have fully renovated each room and moved onto the next, instead of piecemealing each room and putting up apology signs. Can't recommend it and don't know if we'll return.

My family has been coming here for the past 10 summers. We absolutely love coming here! Very short walk to the boardwalk and local shops. Rooms are always clean and staff is always friendly. Highly recommend staying here!

Great location! Rooms are nice. Found out they also have apt. And suites. Kids love the pool.

Check-in and out was seem less. There was always someone at the desk to help us and they were very nice. They provide beach passes, parking is only $15 a day. The place is very clean, beautifully decorated and recently renovated (in the last few years). The rooms have their own AC units, beds are comfortable, bathroom is big with 10ft ceilings, a rain shower head for the perfect pressure and shower experience. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast is from 6am-10am. You can help yourself to cereal and oatmeal but they also have different menu items everyday. Today was omlet with 5 toppings or a parfait. The meal was well balanced with an arugula salad and a healthy serving of a variety of fruit. Coffee, tea, milk and OJ available. I loved sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs throughout the day reading my book. They offer blankets and umbrellas. Lemonade, coffee, tea, cookies, and wine are available in the evenings sometimes. Water (hot and cold) available from their filtered machine. You can sit inside or enjoy the porch area where there was a nice breeze. The owner, Sne, can be found working at all hours of the day. From serving coffee in the morning, fixing something in the afternoon, and delivering ice cream in the evening. He takes great care of the place and it's decorated with antiques he has collected. Only a couple blocks away from the boardwalk/wateraprk. The hospitality, attention to detail, and cleanliness were unmatched. We were only here for a night and are excited to return next time.

I really dislike leaving a negative review as there are several nice things about the hotel…read more However, everything I am writing below, I told directly to the hotel. Booking this hotel was a nightmare. I called to get a rate and ask questions. I called 4x and no one picked up. Out of desperation, I finally sent an email. I got a call the next day with a rate. However, when I tried to book that rate online, it was different. So, now I am trying to call the hotel again. Again, called 3x and no one picks up so I leave a message. I get a returned call and am told the online booking "includes a resort fee, but we can put that back on your credit card or I can take your card over the phone with the lower rate." I opted to pay over the phone (for the record, it's one of those hotels that charges you for using a credit card.). I was told to call the day before our arrival and advise when I'd like to check in because they would try to accommodate. This is a nice gesture and I appreciate it, but it's not nice when you call and guess what? No one picks up! We called the morning of our arrival and they did accommodate an early check in which was nice. You should know that you check in in 1 building and walk to another where you are actually staying. There is no security. Anyone can walk into the hotel (no lobby). You are literally walking into a hall with an elevator and there are no safeguards like needing a room key to make the elevator work. (They use old fashioned keys.) Room was cheerful, clean and looked like the photos. Our bathroom had a window that the view was a hallway. You had to put a screen down or people walking bay could see into your bathroom/shower. Odd. I would also say the walls are very thin. You can hear everyone and anyone walking past your door, etc. We went to OC for First Night and spend NYE having a wonderful time there, but when got back at midnight, there was no hot water. None. We were all freezing and none of us could take a shower. Sadly, I called the "front desk" and surprise! No one picked up. I called 3x. When I checked out, they said "The envelope with the keys had an emergency phone number on it. You should have called that. This makes no sense. The info on the phone in the room gives you a front desk number. I explained my frustration. The desk person said he'd try to get some compensation. 2 days later I got an email that $30 was taken off the room. I called to confirm this was for the lack of hot water. The same man who was at check out is who I spoke to. "I was able to discount the room rate, but I need to discuss with the owners anything else. I will call you on Tuesday and let you know what happens." Today is Wednesday and never heard from them. I am rating them "poor" because they never followed up. I had no expectations about further compensation, but please please please don't say you will follow and then not do so. Poor form.

New Ownership -Worst Stay EVER in 21 years of staying!…read moreTahiti Inn apartments (now called Ocean's Edge Luxury Apartments) are FAR from LUXURY. Still part of the Inn, but new name and false advertising. We have been coming here for 21 years - and this year we stayed in June AND July. our stay in June was the first under new management. Our "luxury" apartment, in which we have stayed in every year for two decades... was recently remodeled. We knew there had been a remodel and new management and were willing to pay the immense price hike. We were looking forward to seeing the updates, only to find: We requested and paid for a large apartment (advertised) and received a small apartment. When questioned, we were told it is the same square footage. But Apartment #11 (for anyone checking in) has a MICRO - kitchen and it is not the same. - Our apartment was unfinished. Sheetrock dust everywhere. No furniture, other than three beds and a couch, two lamps. - The windows were not covered. Curtains laying in closest on the floor. The curtain hooks were hung with weak hardware, and were falling off the wall. (pics below.) We requested they be fixed for privacy. This was never resolved. - No dresser or stand for any suitcases. - TV's did not work, and no help came to fix this when we requested assistance. - TV internet did not work. Still no assistance. - No blow drier. - We purchased groceries for our stay, to wake up the next morning to find the refrigerator was not working. They replaced this for us. - Kitchen area had no place to plug in toaster. We had to use the bedroom floor (only outlet with remodel) to make toast. - No broom, dustpan (OCEAN=SAND) - And management is only on site periodically. Staff cannot assist unless with permission of management. - Water dripping from light in bathroom. - Hot water only in one bathroom shower at a time. - One roll toilet paper per bathroom. - Four towels between two bathrooms. - No cleaning service provided unless asked, and we had to find a random broom/dustpan, garbage bags, and never received a blow drier, even after requesting twice.(Every hotel big and small, has a blow drier.) - Mold on patio walls. - Staff sat outside apartments in chairs while our family exited and entered doors, - Ladders and hoses everywhere. Little kids trying to climb and use. - No ice machine. - No sand rinse station anymore. All sand comes back to your room with you. - Pool was closed off and on for repairs. - Occupants repeatedly smoking on our patio. Reservation clearly states NO smoking premise. - Management we dealt with was rude and impersonal. - We took a few photos to show management upon check-in, with concern of being charged for damage. - The remodel is an upgrade as far as "appearance," in the apartments, but other than that - after 21 years, we won't be returning unless there is new management, acknowledgement of the issues, and major improvements and follow up sent. This was in June/July 2025. All of the provisions listed on website were false. If you choose to book at the Tahiti Inn apartments (now Ocean's Edge Luxury Apartments,) pack everything you need from home, because you will not find it here. We really miss the outstanding service and care from previous owners.

My mom and I just needed a place to sleep and shower for a weekend trip so this was fine for us. The pool area is 1960s tiki themed which was actually pretty cool to see and if they fully embraced this theme and updated a few features (bathrooms in particular) it could be a real gem. Beds were fine and there was a working TV. Basics but that's all we needed. Location wise it was perfect for us as it was just a 10 min or less walk to the boardwalk. Parking is first come first serve for the good spots. We didn't have too bad of a time but got in late Friday night thanks to Philly traffic and had to take the last spot available, by the bike racks. We had to move a few bikes to avoid hitting them. If you park by the Jilly's Arcade make sure you park on the LEFT facing the hotel. They had parking spots marked for the arcade and will tow/charge you if you accidently park there. Staff were friendly but we called ahead of time for a late check in, were told the office was open till 10pm, but then received a call at 9pm asking when we were going to arrive. Luckily we were only 10 min away but if your hours are until 10pm and we called earlier with our ETA why did we get another call asking out arrival time? Lack of communication I think. Also watch their "Specials" on the website for pricing. It doesn't include the NJ taxes. We called for the $88 a night special and after taxes ended up being $130 a night. We asked about the increase and were just told "We don't always update the website prices..." So CALL and ask for an ENTIRE price (rate + taxes) for your stay and ask if a special is still available. I believe the hotel is for sale as we saw a manager, a relator and 2 business looking people going in and out of rooms (that were hopefully unoccupied as it was a no vacancy when we were there) taking photos. I overheard the manager explaining features and mechanical/staff rooms so it's probably going to change hands soon. Overall solid place with the essentials, close to the board walk for a nice weekend trip. Just double check your bill that your rate is correct.
