I treated myself to two nights here in early May, booked way in advance and timed before high season pricing kicked in. The owner was so very kind and helpful when I needed to change my dates to come in one day earlier. She was a delight when I finally met her in person. PRICE: You have to remember that during the Pandemic, the entire tourism industry was devastated. And so you will find that this year, demand is going to jump by leaps and bounds and so will price. You are NOT paying for a fancy room here, you are paying for location - you are literally spitting distance from the beach. ROOM: We got #105. King bed, small fridge and microwave, coffee maker, sink with plates, dishwashing station, free basic wifi, free basic cable TV. Heater and AC will allow you to personalize your preferred temperature. Decor wasn't slick, modern or new, but it was comfortable and clean. Looking for a boutique hotel? This ain't it. You are here because of its amazing location. Because of COVID, we ordered take out for dinner, and it was such a pleasure to be able to eat comfortably in our room as an option. LOCATION: Located one minute's walk to Cove beach. Sunrise? You're a minute away. Sunset? You're a minute away. Want to go for a bike ride? Sure - the boardwalk is a minute away and you're welcome to ride the boards before 10 AM. NEIGHBORS: We had a downstairs unit, so yes, you could vaguely hear your neighbors, but it didn't really bother us too much. I may just make this a yearly tradition!

We booked a "cottage" which was not a one story stand alone structure as we thought a "cottage" is to be. We were given a room on the second floor requiring going up and down a lot of steps. My husband and I are in our sixties and he has great difficulty with steps. Also we were surprised to have no freezer in the refrigerator, no table nor chair. I had to go to the main hotel 2nd floor to get ice. Also there was no simple coffee maker which normally seems standard especially if breakfast isn't served until 8:00 a.m. I told 2 receptionists that perhaps "cottage" should be removed from their website and replaced with a more accurate description. Outside photos of this building might help too to prevent older people with mobility issues from booking in the "cottage". Both receptionists were kind and understanding. One offered to move us to the first floor of the "cottage " the next day, but my husband didn't want to leave his balcony view by then because the room was so small.

I think they should extend their pool closing time to 9 pm instead of 7

Trust me- most of the time the more modern places sacrifice what is important! Here you get it all! I am someone who is very picky! The joke (not joke) with my family is "don't unpack until your mom says" that usually means changing rooms and still sending house keeping... not here! From the moment you walk in, you can smell the fresh clean linens. There is not a spot on any surface! This is clearly a place that takes pride in their establishment! When I woke up I sat outside my room to watch a beautiful sunrise! With everything being within walking distance, I would not stay anywhere else!!!

Wildwood has notoriously long and wide beaches. Plan to give yourself 10-20 minutes to walk to the waterfront because it can be tough. Beach was clean. Water was clean. Low tides are amazing here. The motel pool is awesome to have. There are picnic tables with umbrellas available. 2 grills and many lounges. A small section for the kiddie pool. Beware that during the day you will get day drinkers with wireless speakers and coolers and in the late afternoon kids swamp the pool with boogie boards. The boardwalk is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Then it's another 20-25 minutes to the main part of the boardwalk after the convention center. The tram car is your best bet if you are not moving your car and paying for parking. Tram car is $4 per person each way so that's $8 round trip. Beautiful beach and ocean view from the 3rd floor. The Gondolier was recommended to us by a friend who stays here every year. The seats and table on the balcony were comfy. Was easy and safe to hang our towels over the railing to dry. Room was SPOTLESS. So clean! Front room had queen sized bed, dining table for 6 people, sofa bed, bedside table and dresser, coat rack and an AC. Back room/second bedroom had its own AC and was attached to the fully equipped kitchenette and bathroom. Kitchenette had plates/dishes, utensils/cutlery, pots/pans, coffeemaker, microwave, full size fridge and freezer combo (bring your own ice trays!). Bathroom is a shower tub combo but not made out of plexiglass; it's tiled and the tub is easy to get in and out of it's not very tall. Towels were provided. Parking can be a bit difficult. Office staff were friendly and helpful. Elevator was out of service upon arrival but was fixed. Otherwise there are stairs. The only reason I chose 4 stars over 5 was because the beds were both harder than rocks. Very very stiff. If you have a long stay, bring a memory foam topper and your own fitted sheets Other than that, we would recommend this motel to anyone and we would definitely return!

We opted for the suite which was a nice size and clean. It had an AC unit in both rooms so with the 2 on full blast you could keep meat in the place. That's all I needed. I booked way back in Jan, so it would of been nice to not have the 1 suite situated in front of the stairs which meant an obstructed view & no outdoor chairs, a drop annoying but def not the end of the world. The owners and staff were extremely friendly and took pride in the place. There was never a time the owner wasn't sweeping or rinsing down something or throwing out the trash. You could tell he really cared about their place, which is always a good thing. The cleaning person was also super attentive. We declined daily house keeping as w 2 little kids, the room was a warzone, but she still made sure we had fresh towels and toiletries. She even noticed after my swim with my daughter that we only had 1 towel and came over to offer another 1. Talk about attention to detail and situational awareness. I was super impressed. The pool was a nice size and kept immaculate. They had a lovely area to eat and bbq if you wanted. They also had a second area to eat that was shaded but also next to the smoking section so we opted to eat in the sun and fresh air every time. We were super happy w the place and will def be back. There were no negatives. As the owners work super hard and want everyone to have the best experience possible, my only suggestions would be to add extra hooks in the bathrooms for wet clothes, maybe some shelving as the sinks have no counter space and perhaps demo the step or paint it yellow that the surf shower sits on as I watched numerous people trip on it while there. My wife laughed at my mention of it until she took a nice tumble sauce. Overall, a great motel in a great location. Blue Marlin - In, you got us hooked!
