Came here for breakfast with a couple of girlfriends. Cute little place that seem to attract the locals. Has a pub attached to the sit down restaurant area. Had the spinach and feta egg white omelette. It was CHUCK full of spinach. Super good and felt like a healthy option. The home fries were good, crisp and full of flavor. Unfortunately, ever since new ownership took over my experiences at The Pub at St. George's could've been better. It's a laid-back gathering place located in the Brigantine Town Center Associates strip mall. They're located below a fitness center, so depending on when you visit be prepared to hear the gym members dropping their weights. To me, this spoils the atmosphere. It has mediocre pub grub and brews with sports on TV. Hopefully, my future experiences at St. George's will be better. The only redeeming quality if this place was the congeniality of the waitress. Firstly, there is nothing about this bar comes remotely close what one thinks of as a pub. Upon entering, one immediately notices the awkward, dingy decor. Filthy drop cleaning, a la 1963, one thinks. Cleanliness did not appear to be a priority. They were out of several items on an already limited menu. Food atrociously inedible. (How does one ruin fried potatoes?) Even the tortilla chips on the side of what was imitating chili were awful. Want a wildly sub-standard cheesesteak? Pay $17 here, when the most famous sub house in AC is $11. Fish and chips overcooked, over battered and laden with an inedible amount of grease. Four Vegetarian meals on the menu and none of it was available. The salad also had rotten lettuce in it. Waffle fries were on the verge of coldness when they came out and crab cakes were dry. Ifhe quesadilla was nicely, presented and tasty to, but that is where the positive stops. Summer 2022, this was the mandatory spot for after golf beer/wings. they were among the best wings anywhere. Been there 2 X's last 30 days & can't even say they are the best on the island! waited 15 mins after ordering- there were only 2 tables occupied & 3 people at the bar, trying to cancel their food order they had been waiting for even before my arrival. My plate ​finally comes, but with bits of Carrot & the celery so brown on ends, I would have tossed it from the bottom of my fridge crisper drawer (see pix) It never should have left the kitchen! There's definitely a reason for the 3 star rating. Mediocre at best. We waited exorbitantly long for the crowd level when we arrived. We were not greeted for at least 10 minutes and then had to wait 5 more when we were finally noticed. It was not busy. Place is not clean. We had plenty of time to look at how dirty the floors were, and the rest was not much better. All our food was ok, except the pancakes tasted like they put vinegar in the batter. They charged $1.00 for each topping for French toast and pancakes, even whipped cream! And as you can see from the photos that is not a dollars worth of whipped cream on the French toast. Same for the bananas on the pancakes. Like a quarter of a banana, if that! My daughter didn't eat the sour tasting pancakes. The rest of our food was ok. Just ok. Service was ok also. I'm sure it's great as a bar tho. Had a cute little stage and a dance floor, and a line up of bands posted on the door. Had a big bar and a whole little liquor store side too. read more

Started with nachos for the appetizer which were promptly brought out to us. The rest of the meal was also very quick to be served but still very yummy. Burger was cooked as requested, and the portion sizes were all very generous. Definitely taking leftovers home!! The vibe was very chill and relaxing, and I appreciated that the lighting was not too bright. Unfortunately, today I have to give them 1 Star and that is for waitress. After waiting 55 minutes for our 4 orders we had to leave because our food still wasn't out after an hour. When we asked for a manager as we were seeing everyone else get seated around us AND get there food. Apparently, There was no manager on duty. So Bill comes over (one of the bartenders/ waiters who has been there forever) because our waitress could not get the kitchen to give her our order. He went back to check at which time he comes out and says.....I'm sorry this didn't work out for you. Sunday in brigantine - we had a larger group so we understand it's hard to find a spot. They sat us, we tipped hostess for helping us. We had 7 kids. they told us kitchen closed at 9 so we asked if it was possible to serve us and the waitress called us an asshole and threw a menu at my 7 year old niece. We left, obviously. My friends and I came to eat one night as my brother recommended the Pub. First, it's open 24/7. They had a live band playing and great specials. The food was amazing and the drinks were out of this world. Our waitress, Dani, was super nice. And she got our food and drinks out quick. Nice little local bar to come and grab a drink or a bite to eat. My brother and a friend of ours stopped in here after a long drive down to Brigantine for the weekend to grab a much needed bite to eat. We were seated after a few mins of waiting for the hostess and waited a little bit for the waitress to bring us some menus. The bar was pretty packed when we got there and there weren't many people eating. We decided on grabbing some fried clam strips and some buffalo tenders to fill our empty bellies. The food was good and came out hot and fresh. I noticed that they serve steamed crabs and I plan on coming back to try those out. Nice spot especially down the shore. Fills a definite hole for pub food in town. Everything is good but in my opinion the presentation of some things is a little fancy for a pub. Also I'd really like to see more wing flavors and the wings to become more of a staple on the menu read more

Right off the bat, weird set up. The venue is split in half, one side being the diner/restaurant, and the other being a bar. Not really a big deal but for whatever reason the bar also has a liquor/beer store right in the bar area. Ya know just incase the bar runs out of alcohol or something. Guys were already buzzing and getting after it at 10am while people are having breakfast right next to them. More importantly, my family came here for what we expected to be an enjoyable breakfast but one thing after another of incidents such as slow service throughout the whole meal, to our waitress rushing us through our orders, and not giving an effort to answer questions, make any suggestions, or provide any sort of guidance to help us make decisions on their confusing menu for eggs. They waste space on their menu for 3 different egg entrees which were not really different at all. Bathrooms were in the bar area, just run-down and gross. In the women's bathroom, the 'fresh' extra toilet paper rolls were left laying on the floor without being in their original packaging wrapper. Lastly, food was below-average. Most of us that got eggs were just about cold. Forgot most of our toast that each of us got. Didn't get checked up on during our meal or look for refills. However, St. George's earns some bonus points on this rating for having over-priced, out-dated paintings all over the walls for sale. An old women actually bought one and said it was the most beautiful painting she's ever saw and that was the highlight of the breakfast. read more

Mixed bag. The food was excellent, actually. Service and presentation, not so much. I live out of state and wanted local food so I ordered the local clams off the appetizer menu. I knew they wouldn't be super filling, so I asked for garlic bread with them and was told the kitchen wouldn't make garlic bread because they were too busy. Um, what? I didn't ask for a well-done T-bone. I asked for a roll with a little butter and garlic on it. I was assured, however, that the clams would come with crostini. Okay. Moving on. My husband got the roast pork sandwich. The food was SO GOOD. But there was no bread or crostini of any kind in with the clams. My husband ended up handing me half his sandwich when he realized. A dark bar and package store combined with a dining area attached. Came here around noon on a Tuesday but it doesn't matter when you come because it's open 24 hours a day, every day! The bar is rectangular with plenty of flat screens within view. The happy hour special is 2 for 1 apps 5-7pm and apparently a buffet. I ordered a bloody Mary extra spicy and it was pretty good. I enjoyed the BLT and chicken & rice soup. Husband ordered the chicken cheese steak and said it was really good. Overall the food and drinks were average to good quality for what it is- traditional bar fare. You have to pay for food separately than drinks so you have the bartender for drinks and the server for food. On college football playoff Tuesday we watched this bizarre day time show called The Chew on one tv, with the other nearby tv showing the news with volume. We put a few songs on the juke box and they upped the volume for us so we could hear music instead of news coverage. It was weird they had on The Chew instead of the game coverage & commentary but when we eventually asked to have it changed the bartender quickly obliged. I think The Chew was on mostly because the regular patrons were galvanized by the show. I never heard of it before. Anyway, we hung out here for a few hours before hitting the road back home. The service was terrible. Our server was rude and not knowledgeable. I asked if they fried in peanut oil, because of an allergy. She said "I didn't know." I told her it was important and that she should ask a manager or the chef. I asked her about the cheese options because I didn't know what cooper sharp cheese was. She said it's a "sharp cheese." She clearly didn't know. She was rude to my kids and when dropped off some coloring pages and crayons, she said, "make sure you don't break my crayons." Who says that to a six and three year old?? The food was mediocre. I ordered a bacon burger. I had to pay extra for cheese ($1) and lettuce, tomato, onion ($1). Alternatively, it was burger night and my kids got a $5 burger from the special menu which came with everything free (not the bacon). The server did tell me there was a difference in the burgers from the regular menu to the special $5 menu, but when they arrived, there was no difference. My kids' burgers looked the same as mine but I paid $13.95. Their tap beer selection was pretty limited. My wife ordered a crab cake sandwich which was blah. The ambiance was dark and a it was a little dirty. Also, we were sat next to a portable air conditioning unit in the back corner of the dining room, so it was especially cold. Caution! George's has new owners! Went for dinner on Memorial Day, was told to sit were you would like, we took a booth up front, saw 2 waitresses working there were 3 other tables, occupied. We sat for just over 15 mins, never received menus, or even made contact with us, I can't attest for the quality of service as we didn't receive any, nor the quality of the food as we never got any. First off as we were walking in there is a lady sitting on the bench outside smoking a cigarette and talking on the phone with a blanket wrapped around her. We were seated right away. Waitress was very pleasant n got our drinks quickly. We were the only people in the restaurant. We thought that was strange. Waitress was super helpful apparently they did not have a couple things my daughter wanted on the menu. Anyway the order went in and we sat n sat. We saw the waitress go out side a couple of times. Finally the lady in the blanket comes in , apparently she must be the cook. Waitress must have been going out side to tell her the were orders to be made. We then waited another 35 mins. Felt horrible for the waitress! That cook could care less about the customers. She should be fired. Never going back! The food was horrible on top of it!
