    Ahi tuna eggrolls
    Lynda R.

New owners. New menu and chef! Service was on point for a busy Saturday night. Started with the friendly welcoming hostess. I had the Ahi Tuna eggrolls. Like nothing I ever had and delicious. Fig and arugula flatbread and special ... swordfish were very good. Will be coming back !

    Chicken???

Got there on a Thursday night and ordered a chicken quesadilla along with two chicken cheesesteaks with french fries. Ifhe quesadilla was nicely, presented and tasty to, but that is where the positive stops. Ordered two chicken cheesesteaks with fries, and when I tell you, it was probably the worst chicken cheesesteak I have ever tasted. The Fries were soggy, undercooked, and not season. The chicken cheesesteak had tasted like an old grill. The bread was mushy, and the cheese was not melted at all.

Summer 2022, this was the mandatory spot for after golf beer/wings. they were among the best wings anywhere. Been there 2 X's last 30 days & can't even say they are the best on the island! waited 15 mins after ordering- there were only 2 tables occupied & 3 people at the bar, trying to cancel their food order they had been waiting for even before my arrival. My plate finally comes, but with bits of Carrot & the celery so brown on ends, I would have tossed it from the bottom of my fridge crisper drawer (see pix) It never should have left the kitchen! The bar service is still good but for any plans including food, go elsewhere!

French toast with berries and whipped cream. It that $1.00 worth of whipped cream?

There's definitely a reason for the 3 star rating. Mediocre at best. We waited exorbitantly long for the crowd level when we arrived. We were not greeted for at least 10 minutes and then had to wait 5 more when we were finally noticed. It was not busy. Place is not clean. We had plenty of time to look at how dirty the floors were, and the rest was not much better. All our food was ok, except the pancakes tasted like they put vinegar in the batter. They charged $1.00 for each topping for French toast and pancakes, even whipped cream! And as you can see from the photos that is not a dollars worth of whipped cream on the French toast. Same for the bananas on the pancakes. Like a quarter of a banana, if that! My daughter didn't eat the sour tasting pancakes. The rest of our food was ok. Just ok. Service was ok also. I'm sure it's great as a bar tho. Had a cute little stage and a dance floor, and a line up of bands posted on the door. Had a big bar and a whole little liquor store side too.

Started with nachos for the appetizer which were promptly brought out to us. The rest of the meal was also very quick to be served but still very yummy. Burger was cooked as requested, and the portion sizes were all very generous. Definitely taking leftovers home!! The vibe was very chill and relaxing, and I appreciated that the lighting was not too bright. Waitress was very helpful and quick to help when needed, and the bartender was very friendly and periodically checked in. Overall very good experience will definitely come back again!

Popped in for lunch- great food and very friendly people . My wife got the shrimp po boy and I had a fried grouper sandwich. They were both works of art- hot and fresh and a real treat. We were glad we stumbled across the St George and will seek it

Well, the "Irish Pub" you know from the Monopoly game is actually this real property, "The Irish Pub and Inn", here on St. James Place in Atlantic City. Also, the game's iconic red hotel design inspired the game's red hotels, making it a real-life landmark for Monopoly fans. During most of the year, this legendary, 24/7 pub is famous for its unique, memorabilia-filled atmosphere and historical ties to AC, the Monopoly game, prohibition, etc., attracting visitors who enjoy its authentic, home-style vibe. But during Christmas, its decorations are on a whole other level of amazingness. Photos will not permit you to understand just how fantastic the volume and scope of lights, ornaments and figurines abound all around the restaurant and bar areas. The owner starts decorating weeks before Christmas adding new items each day through Christmas. You can't miss catching the Christmas spirit here, while taking in some spirits! It is a cash only venue. Make sure to come prepared. But if not? They do have an ATM onsite to help pay for the classic fish and chips or / AND the St James Potatoes. Those fries are like a poutine for those who know. The service is no frills but provided with pride and a smile, always. You can never go wrong here for a quick, basic, and satisfying meal and drink at reasonable prices in good company.

I learned later that this restaurant has been around since the early to mid 1900's. Plenty of parking in a large open lot. The place is very large and has one of the longest bars I've seen. The wood is very dark and you can see the chefs cooking over the hearth. They don't take reservations and won't see you until your entire party is there. One of the things I liked for our party of 10 was they had no problems with seating as they also have many large round tables. For mixed drinks, they make them pretty big and potent. For my martini, they sent back an extra glass. They also had great bleu cheese stuffed olives. We ordered onion rings (8 large to an order) and fried zucchini. The onion ring I had was pretty good. I didn't have the fried zucchini but heard it was also pretty good. Other than the light fare items, all dinners come with their salad bar which has both iceberg lettuce and Caesar Salad along with many fixings as well as cheeses and bread. I had the Baked Seafood Platter which came with scallops, shrimp, Clam Casino (without the shell), Maryland crab cake and a small lobster tail for $49.99. My wife had the baked chicken breast which she said was quite dry. The dining area is quite large and reminds me of the restaurants at a casino. Some in our group said it reminds them of Medieval Times due to the dark wood vibe. While I thought it was a bit pricey, I would still come back and try their signature steaks or prime rib.
