We've been coming here for years when it first opened as liquor store 20 years ago. Then they added a small bar, then they broke out a wall and expanded the bar, added karaoke on Saturday nights, a pool table, etc. It's been bought out since we were last here as regulars and they've added even more and an outside area. The liquor store has always had a good selection of wines and beers. We always have the fried fishsticks as an appie but not available today. They're pretty good. I had the steak dinner (9 oz.) with choice of salad and steamed veggies (low carb) which I thought would be soggy and tasteless, but was tasty and consisted of squash, carrots, flat green beans, and a garden vegetable cheese steak with onion rings. We had fried stringbeans for an appie. We checked in to Yelp and got $5 off! The owner was really nice about it and chatted with us a bit. This is your basic "dive" bar (my favorite), which just basically means your neighbor bar with regulars. It's nice enough to bring the kids and sit at one of the tables for lunch or an early dinner. Wide screen TVs, plenty of bar room space (but fills up quickly), pool room, bands, and karaoke night couple of times a month. If your drunk and hungry when you leave, there's always BoBos Chinese (great takeout, another longtime staple) and WaWa located in the strip mall. The waitresses are real sweet and work hard. Tip them! The food is your basic bar stuff with lots of Mexican choices. They serve breakfast as well to soak up the booze if you tend to start early in the day. Nothing to write home about the food, but a wide selection in the offerings, cheap, and someone in the kitchen uses seasonings. I give it 4 stars for being a great neighborhood staple and gathering spot. Those kinds of places add real value to a community.

"The Pub" is a bit of a local guilty pleasure of mine located just south of Browns Mills. At first glance, one might assume it's just another local beer/liquor store, but one would be wrong. Behind the front retail portion of the store appears a full-service bar serving both lunch/dinner and hosting occasional music groups. I mainly stop by here during lunchtime, but have also popped in a few times during happy hour, which is understandably busier. To describe the atmosphere, let's just say I could pick this place up and drop in back in the middle of Western PA and no one would notice the difference...average locals playing pool and eating burgers/wings while the bartenders serve up endless bottles of Bud and Coors Light. However, they also have a decent variety of ''real" beers regularly on tap and their cheese-steak wrap regularly ends up in my belly a few times a month. The Chicken Caesar salad is also a plateful of goodness, with nearly as much chicken as lettuce. Once again, it's not a place that knocks it out of the park or impresses for any particular reason. It's basically just a cool, fun place that has good, affordable food choices and friendly bartenders (Tammy, Jen) who almost always know what I'm going to order before I even belly up to the extensive bar. Keep up the good work ladies!

Great place! I went on wing night and the bartender Tammy was incredibly fast with my order and super polite. Try the mild honey wings and SIDEWINDERS (I had two orders they were that good.) I'll be back for sure!

I haven't been to this site since it was Dublin Square which was a long time ago. Some of the layout changed. They no longer have the old bar separated from the dining area. Callie was our server and did a great job. I was there with some friends from SC. We started by ordering the large pretzel which comes out on a pretzel hanger along with some beer cheese for dipping. They also use that hanger for bacon. The pretzel was enough for 4 of us. I ordered the wings and selected Nashville Hot and Hog Sauce as my flavors. They claim they sell by the pound ($15.50) but it ends up being 8 wings. If you want to split flavors, they make it dry and bring the sauce on the side for dipping. Luckily the Nashville Hot is a dry rub. It was very good and not too spicy. The Hog Sauce is a combo of Buffalo and Garlic which was excellent. The wings themselves were plump, juicy and crispy. Five stars. Plenty of parking. Some tables available outside for outdoor seating when it ever gets nice in NJ. Bathrooms were very clean. You may find some little pink pigs around. Not sure if they're complimentary, but my wife took the one that was next to our table. My only complaint is they have too many of their draft beers designated for only 10 oz pours even with low ABV. I had a Kane Head High which was in a 16 oz glass. They also use OpenTable for reservations which I used as well.

The kitchen dominates the back of the restaurant with a huge pizza oven and white tiles all around, and a clean bright fresh look, as you pass by to use the restroom. Overall it was fine but not incredibly memorable. We were seated at the strange 6-top table right inside the front door. Like people almost have to shimmy past you to get inside. The service was okay but not great. On the plus side, when we ordered something it came on the quicker side and also later in the meal the manager came by and checked on us. On the meh side there were long periods without being checked on by our server and I feel like I knew a bit more about the menu from reading it than they did. The best thing we ordered was the pretzel. The rest of the food was just alright. Bang bang cauliflower was crispy but battered in what actually tasted like a more dense funnel cake batter and had a twang of fryer oil that was on the cusp of needing to be changed. The sauce was flat. Cheesesteak egg rolls were not good. Soggy (again the fryer oil) and the prevailing flavor was green peppers. (Where I come from a cheesesteak guarantees shaved ribeye, American or Cooper sharp cheese and possibly fried onions but green peppers I would say crosses a line) Mozzarella sticks were mid. Truthfully the extremely long and skinny plates the apps came out on were just annoying. I'm sure the dish and kitchen staff can't stand washing them and plating the food on them either. Just buy some oval or round plates bruh. The cocktails were fine but uninspired. I ordered a peach old fashioned... Bulleit was the brand of bourbon and there was supposed to be peach bitters, peach syrup and "fresh peach" but it came out again a little on the underwhelming side without much peach flavor and the "fresh peach" nowhere to be found. (I expected perhaps a slice of fresh peach?) I didn't take a picture of the cocktail menu but I feel like it many have been like $16 for a subpar drink. Don't mind paying even $20 for a cocktail if it's executed correctly. We tried a blueberry mule off of the mocktails menu but asked to have Tito's added. It was good and properly served in a copper mug with a sprig of fresh mint. There was some live music, a guy singing and playing a guitar which was a nice touch. I appreciated that we could still have dinner conversation and the music wasn't dominating the room- it was more complimentary to the dining experience. In fairness our time there was all apps and some cocktails. We did not try the entrees. I wonder if they would have been executed upon at a higher level. The bathroom was spacious and clean. Had some neat (copper?) sinks with waterfall faucets. In a day and age where things are expensive, you gotta be firing on all cylinders to stand out as a place for folks to drop their hard earned money for a night out. It was alright here... But I don't know if I would choose to come back over other options. It landed between two and half stars and three stars for me.

Our waitress was very friendly and ended up leaving a pitcher of water once she saw we were parched. The salad bar wasn't huge, but there were some cold dishes along with salad fixings, which is part of the vintage charm. The bread (not complementary) was also a huge round loaf great for sharing. The decor's medieval vibe is very charming and it's nice looking around the room. The kitchen is open to the dining room with big brick ovens. I had the prime rib which was big and juicy (the baked potato was fine but the Yorkshire puff was bland and barely editable soaked in juice - may just be I don't like this food). The steak came with a giant onion ring which was delightful, and it was cooked perfectly tender. This place thrives in your meat and potato staples, so not a lot of side options except what's at the salad bar. For dessert, we had to try the peach melba delight, which was a giant goblet of vanilla ice cream, peaches in juice, whipped cream, and a cherry on top. Deceptively simple but extremely tasty and great to share There's a large bar area and the bathrooms are nice. This place is great for larger groups that include older people. The food is good and the atmosphere did feel like it was from another time, but we had a good time, and it's nice to see a place like this still around.

I learned later that this restaurant has been around since the early to mid 1900's. Plenty of parking in a large open lot. The place is very large and has one of the longest bars I've seen. The wood is very dark and you can see the chefs cooking over the hearth. They don't take reservations and won't see you until your entire party is there. One of the things I liked for our party of 10 was they had no problems with seating as they also have many large round tables. For mixed drinks, they make them pretty big and potent. For my martini, they sent back an extra glass. They also had great bleu cheese stuffed olives. We ordered onion rings (8 large to an order) and fried zucchini. The onion ring I had was pretty good. I didn't have the fried zucchini but heard it was also pretty good. Other than the light fare items, all dinners come with their salad bar which has both iceberg lettuce and Caesar Salad along with many fixings as well as cheeses and bread. I had the Baked Seafood Platter which came with scallops, shrimp, Clam Casino (without the shell), Maryland crab cake and a small lobster tail for $49.99. My wife had the baked chicken breast which she said was quite dry. The dining area is quite large and reminds me of the restaurants at a casino. Some in our group said it reminds them of Medieval Times due to the dark wood vibe. While I thought it was a bit pricey, I would still come back and try their signature steaks or prime rib.

I ordered the Reuben for my entree and upgraded from chips to potato salad. This was an amazing choice. One of the best Reubens I've had in awhile. I was nervous at first seeing the thick bread but it all came together. It wasn't greasy at all. The corned beef was crispy which made it easier to bite. Who hates trying to bite through tough corned beef???? The amount of sauerkraut was perfect. One half of my sandwich had the perfect amount of dressing. The other half was dry. I usually ask for a side of dressing but didn't this time. I am so glad I upgraded to potato salad. It's only $1 extra and I highly recommend. This reminded me of my family recipe.
