We got into the Hot & Spicy Steamers a bit but OMG yum- no grit at all either

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! I just discovered this GEM! A local friend suggested I apply there while chatting about trying to get back into the business- figured I would go check the place out, and wow, just wow every single thing was delicious and the bartender was on top of everything - it was a friendly fun atmosphere. Don't be tricked by the hole in the wall, dive bar to a T appearance. The food was better then any fancy Italian place I've been in years

    Loud disrespectful bar area

Stopped at Village Pub on a recommendation for the Crab soup. I must agree the Crab soup is among the best I ever tasted. We came here at approximately 5 PM in a Tuesday. We found the noise level to be insane and disrespectful of customers who came here to enjoy dinner. The bar area was excessively loud due to the obviously drunk patrons talking or yelling as they tried to converse with each other. I requested to speak to the manager in an attempt to have the loud voices toned down. Never did see the manager. I assume the comfort of their customers is not important! Finally at our request our server did notify the loud mouths to quiet down without any results. I can only conclude that the management of this facility is more interested in this place as a rowdy bar and not a place to enjoy a lunch or dinner.

We love it here. The rustic vibe and gourmet food is great. Also, it's a great place to pick up bikers at night.

Delicious food despite the run down appearance outside. Large portions. Waitress was very nice. Prices are average.

I learned later that this restaurant has been around since the early to mid 1900's. Plenty of parking in a large open lot. The place is very large and has one of the longest bars I've seen. The wood is very dark and you can see the chefs cooking over the hearth. They don't take reservations and won't see you until your entire party is there. One of the things I liked for our party of 10 was they had no problems with seating as they also have many large round tables. For mixed drinks, they make them pretty big and potent. For my martini, they sent back an extra glass. They also had great bleu cheese stuffed olives. We ordered onion rings (8 large to an order) and fried zucchini. The onion ring I had was pretty good. I didn't have the fried zucchini but heard it was also pretty good. Other than the light fare items, all dinners come with their salad bar which has both iceberg lettuce and Caesar Salad along with many fixings as well as cheeses and bread. I had the Baked Seafood Platter which came with scallops, shrimp, Clam Casino (without the shell), Maryland crab cake and a small lobster tail for $49.99. My wife had the baked chicken breast which she said was quite dry. The dining area is quite large and reminds me of the restaurants at a casino. Some in our group said it reminds them of Medieval Times due to the dark wood vibe. While I thought it was a bit pricey, I would still come back and try their signature steaks or prime rib.

Everything was chopped evenly and broiled to perfection. I did get a decent amount of clam. The description says bacon but I'm glad it wasn't big pieces of crispy bacon. It almost seemed like pancetta. I wish I took a picture. They are a little greasy so I'm not sure why they serve them with a side of butter. I think that's a waste. I ordered the Reuben for my entree and upgraded from chips to potato salad. This was an amazing choice. One of the best Reubens I've had in awhile. I was nervous at first seeing the thick bread but it all came together. It wasn't greasy at all. The corned beef was crispy which made it easier to bite. Who hates trying to bite through tough corned beef???? The amount of sauerkraut was perfect. One half of my sandwich had the perfect amount of dressing. The other half was dry. I usually ask for a side of dressing but didn't this time. I am so glad I upgraded to potato salad. It's only $1 extra and I highly recommend. This reminded me of my family recipe. This sandwich comes with chips and I'm not sure what that means. I'm not a huge potato chip person.
