Great lil spot that offers quality time well spent! The menu and hospitality here is one that will keep you coming back for more. This pub offers 2 floors of seating and a hidden area that is open for special occasions. Let's talk about the food! I devoured that burger. It was juicy, tasty, yummy, melty, velvety... it just went down with the quickness! Don't hate me for choosing that wedge salad as my side, I still don't know what I was thinking off that night. I should have went for them fries, but next time. FYI: Parking is tough around the area, but there is a municipal parking lot.

If you're looking for good eats, beautifully crafted cocktails, and/or a great craft beer draft list, The Local checks all of those boxes and more! We're typically a little hesitant about frequenting the local as we enjoy sitting at the bar and the bar here is on the smaller side. We decided to head over around 5:30 on a Wednesday and were able to score seats at the bar. We each started with a drink off of their specialty cocktail list and enjoyed our choices. My dad got an El Burro which is a Mexican Mule, my mom ordered the Blackberry Smash which is one of her favorite cocktails, and I had the smoked old fashioned. Out of the 3 (I tried all of them) the smoked old fashioned was my favorite but I would have been happy ordering any of the three. After we finished our cocktails, we each selected a craft beer off of their impressive draft list which includes many popular beers from local NJ breweries. After much debate looking through some pictures (because so many menu items sounded appetizing) I finally decided to get a burger and it easily rivals some of my favorite burgers in surrounding towns. I went with The Local Burger which is topped with bacon and an egg. All burgers and sandwiches are served with their house-cut fries which far and away surpass typical frozen bagged fries. My dad also got a burger, the classic, which is topped with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. The burgers were cooked very nicely. My mom had a Caesar salad and buffalo cauliflower, one of her go-to orders at The Local. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. As good as the burger was, I'm going to have to try new things at my next visit. There were so many other menu items in going to have to try, including a 30-day dry aged burger and a bison burger. The shrimp po boy and falafel sandwich caught my eye as well. One of these days I am going to check out the private lounge/"speakeasy" which features over 300 American whiskeys.

The local has an amazing staff, they are all very sweet and attentive, the food is fresh and delicious. Everything is clean and inviting, one of our favorite places

This restaurant is located in the busy heart of Mount Holly. There is plenty of street parking and it has a few outdoor seating tables available. We sat inside and our server, Isabella, was exceptional. Immediately, she presented us with large glasses of water and every aspect of the meal was handled perfectly. They also have a second floor, for indoor dining. Every one of our entrees were delicious, at the right temperature, and every bit of them were consumed. The restaurant is clean, has a large bar area, and every staff member was more than helpful. You will not go wrong with dining at this restaurant and will leave thoroughly satisfied.

3 on food 1 for experience 4 on service I really am trying to give a fair review but my experience was not good at all compared to the last time I was here. We stopped in for drinks and appetizers with the outdoor seating during the pandemic. There weren't any major issues with the food or the drinks but it was the setting and experience that was really really bad. Our seat was next to a trash can that was full, surrounded by flies and the cars driving by were blaring music. We wanted to sit inside but it smelled really bad like sewage inside. I totally understand during covid/pandemic that the business has no control over the outdoors. The sewage smell inside though is not okay. It took a long time for our beer to come out, no big deal. I get it, staff is limited. The paper plates though were so flimsy you might as well have put the food on the table. During a time of safely eating, I didn't feel like it was on par. It could be tightened up a bit. I say all of this so it improves. Please get plasticware or glass right away because that was gross to have the grease leak out and on the table with the paper products. On a positive note, the fingerling potatoes appetizer are still tasty.

Definitely a hidden gem in the heart of downtown Mount Holly! The fiancé and I wanted to check out a local spot and I'm so happy we did! We came in around 6:30 and it was definitely busy. The front hostess seemed a little overwhelmed since she was in charge of reservations and waitressing but she as well as everyone else seemed very friendly and welcoming. I sense this is a definite local water hole since I saw a lot of families enjoying dinner. Food came out really fast and let me tell you it was fantastic! The menu isn't too big and offers your typical American food. The Reese's cheesecake was sooooo creamy and just out of this world! We will definitely be coming back again and with friends! I was super eager and excited to see where the "speakeasy" was after we finished our dinner. The speakeasy was so cool and I loved the entire vibe. I read online they offer a selection of 250 different whiskeys to choose from so this is a must visit if you enjoy whisky. Drinks a beautifully presented and pack a punch! We will for sure be coming back!

My wife and I was ecstatic they had indoor seating with proper Covid protocol. We felt safe while eating dinner and the meal was delicious. Started off with the Buffalo wings, creamy and spicy sauce, wings fried perfect and tangy blue cheese. Nothing wrong there. Next was the veggie burger which was packed full of mushrooms, if you love mushrooms then this is the burger for you. My wife loved it. I personally had the western burger and the crispy onion straws made it over the top. For drinks, my wife and I are sadly...basic so we had to get the pump-Queen (pumpkin beer). If you're basic or just love pumpkin, it was a real nice change and super smooth.

Yummy food with a great selection of local beers. My husband and I came for dinner and we were glad to know they had indoor seating and spaced customers a few tables apart . I had their veggie burger which was delicious. There was a lot of mushrooms inside and I love mushrooms ! We were able to try a local seasonal beer the Pump-Queen and we enjoyed it so much we went to a local liquor store to buy some more :)

But the service that is amazing and all the smiling staff here make up for anything that I don't see on the menu. The place is really well put together and is a very handsome bar it's mostly very wooden and heavy duty. The ambience is something for everyone on the TV or you can just chitchat. They even have this little side room that is nice but beware and bring a coat or a sweater cause it does get chilly in there. They're always seems like a really great group of people there and our favorite waitress is KB/Kristen. She is truly amazing and very attentive, but not annoying. We love their chicken fajitas and steak fajitas, the Cheesesteaks are delish! But My Newest Favorite for the Moment..... is the "We Jammin Burger". It has bacon onion Jam on it and it is amazing! I didn't think that I would like it as Much as I do! But I Realllllllly Do! I'm not really a burger fan... like my husband Is, But THIS BURGER..... has been a Game changer for Me. Warning: Make room in your fridge... because You will definitely bring leftovers home. This meal can feed a family of 4 Easily!! Their Cajun quesadilla is delicious and it does have a nice little zing. Their traditional wings are amazing and their beef stew is delicious and very hearty. We have tried many of their specialties. The Hail Mary is a delicious Caesar salad on top of chicken cutlets and their Broccoli Chicken Cheesesteak is amazing. I recommend you get it pressed on the grill and that way it won't fall out as you bite each delicious bite. I would say 80 to 90% of the visits that we have had at this amazing establishment. We always bring home leftovers. So be aware that you were going to have lunch for tomorrow. You will get to the point where you will just think of something to eat that they have on their menu and your mouth will just start to drool. We definitely recommend going. I'm not a huge drinker so I really can't say much as for their drinks but everyone there seems very happy and the portions are huge. I definitely say try it, what's the worst that happens you have leftovers for the next day or two lol It is my husband and my favorite new place that's been around forever Hey, maybe we'll see you there

The portion sizes were generous; both my burger and the Cheesesteak Deluxe were large enough that we brought leftovers home from both entrées. Cons: Unfortunately, the drinks were not good. I ordered a Downeast Cider on tap and it tasted like the line may not have been cleaned recently. My companion ordered a cosmopolitan that was essentially undrinkable--extremely strong and not well balanced. We later learned the bartender is new, so hopefully that improves with experience. The wings were also served cold, and the Jammin' burger came out without the bacon jam that's supposed to be a key part of the dish. The restaurant itself is also very tight quarters. If you prefer more personal space or feel more comfortable in places where it's easy to move around or exit quickly, this may not be the best spot for you. Overall: The staff was very attentive and clearly tried to make things right after several mistakes occurred. They comped our soda, appetizer, and dessert, which we appreciated. However, given the number of issues during one visit, I'm not sure we'd return.

I ordered the Reuben for my entree and upgraded from chips to potato salad. This was an amazing choice. One of the best Reubens I've had in awhile. I was nervous at first seeing the thick bread but it all came together. It wasn't greasy at all. The corned beef was crispy which made it easier to bite. Who hates trying to bite through tough corned beef???? The amount of sauerkraut was perfect. One half of my sandwich had the perfect amount of dressing. The other half was dry. Hard to tell exactly when it opened, as their website offers scant information, but they first started posting on Facebook in 2011 if that is anything to go by. They don't have a large footprint in the NJ brewing scene as they don't distribute to any liquor stores or bars/restaurants (they don't even offer beers in cans to go), and they don't do any big events other than the typical karaoke or trivia nights. What they do offer is a nice place to hang out in an old historic building right on the Main Street in the downtown area, and a solid lineup of beers. One thing that makes them stand out is a great selection of beers on nitro. From my experience with NJ breweries, you're lucky to find a single beer on nitro. At Village Idiot there are seven of them, most of them dessert stouts like a cookie butter white stout and a salted caramel milk stout. All that we tried were delicious and not crazy high in ABV like other dessert stouts. Flights are only $10 which is pretty cheap compared to other NJ breweries. Of note is that as of November 2025 they no longer allow outside drinks including water bottles like Nalgenes and Stanley Cups. Too many idiots sneaking in alcohol, according to their social media. Overall it has a bit more of a dive bar vibe only frequented by locals rather than a traditional NJ brewery, but the beer is definitely good enough, and the surrounding Main Street charming and quaint enough that I would definitely return.

We started off with appetizers- which are really great for sharing- perogies for the Hubby and I had the liver dumpling soup- both were fantastic. Hubby had the German mixed salad with his meal, the special was sausage with both chicken and pork Schnitzel and potatoes, I had the sauerbraten with potatoes and we both had a side of the sauerkraut. We took a To-Go of the stuffed chicken breast with mozzarella and spinach and soup, with broccoli and an order of perogies. 2 Root beers, and he had the apple strudel and I ordered the Bienenstich. Our server was Karen- I want to give a huge thank you to her, she was an absolute delight, sweet, friendly and made sure our dinner was perfect, she is wonderful and next time we come for dinner, we hope she is our waitress. Food was incredible, I have not had "family" style German food in probably 13 years if not longer- I used to eat all the time at Alpine Village in Torrance Ca and at Phoenix Club in Brea Ca- both I was a long time foodie at, and never had a bad meal! It is so great to know that Sebastian's is our new place for delicious German food. Dinner for the 3 was roughly $180.00, but before you say "that's a lot", the food is delicious, the wait staff is amazing and both my husband and I gladly pay good money for fantastic food, like what we had here at Sebastian's.

CASH ONLY CASH ONLY…read moreCASH ONLY CASH ONLY Did I mention CASH ONLY So we are thinking about getting Christmas Eve dinner catered from here, so we tried it out yesterday. There was a decent amount of confusion and dialect disconnect, but I believe they have most of their regular menu available. We also ordered a bunch of different items to taste test and we were extremely happy! Let me get into my issue... At no point until I walked into the restaurant, did they mention cash only, oh and check! They take checks! But they never list if on ther website, or any social media sites. They do not mention it over the phone either... so I walk in expecting to pay with card and wham. CASH ONLY... They do have an ATM on site, but to use it, you need an ATM card or a pin on your CC, which I did not have. My FiL had to meet me half way back with cash so I could pay. I really wish they post it online or somewhere people can see before walking in.... I had half a mind to cancel lol! Well that's my gripe! Ordering food, there was a slight language barrier as well. But all in all, it went OK. The lot needs better lighting and or a sign that points to the main entrance. We walked the wrong way and ended up at tables and chairs in storage.... It is very very very homey inside. Very homey. It feels like Oma's living room. With Hummel and biersteins everywhere, and it mean everywhere! Do not bring young kids here lol! It does look nice though! Must but nightmare to dust... Service is unique, the owner was trying to make small talk, and this is after my cash issue, I was kind of zoned out... also had 2 kids that were surprisingly behaving! I got super lucky with that lol! I was able to pay cash and he threw in a few items for free, he gave me a potato soup and a Rahm sauce. Brought the food home and feasted! I got the triple schnitzel combo with Veal, pork, chicken. All were delicious, I like the brown gravy (which had a nice tang) as well as the Rahm sauce with it. By itself it was good, I think they do it more Italian style with only breadcrumbs and no flour, but it was still good. The Veal was the best, but small! The other 2 were very good! I subbed mash for home fries which had sautéed onions and were a great touch, but it needed salt. The sauce helped! I also got a side or spaetzle, which were good but needed sauce and or salt, and did not have much seasoning. But that is German food... I'm not saying its bland, but its sauce heavy! Perogies were absolutely killer! I want a tray lol! Great filling, super soft, great taste! Wife and FiL had the chicken cordon blue, and they were huge!!! They were delicious, but even better with the Rahm sauce. I need a gallon of it lol! Wife liked the Red cabbage, I enjoyed it as well, great flavor. I personally like it sweeter. FiL had the mash and like it. I also got Linzer Tarts which disappeared very quickly lol! Everyone enjoyed them! All in all a great meal, I wish they'd let you know cash only... we look forward to getting catering on Christmas Eve!
