Food truck and looking from front door to the lot.

Cool little spot, decent beers. I'm sure they will get better. Just opened. Welcome to the neighborhood! Food truck here today. Little tricky to find, but check out their Facebook page for a map/ directions. 9 on tap right now. I like the Vienna Lager and I'm glad they have it, favorite style and not many around brew it. Reasonable prices too. Check them out.

There must be something in the water over in Mount Holly, NJ, because this is the third brewery to open there so far (behind Spellbound and Village Idiot). They just had their grand opening on March 17th, and my girlfriend and I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. It was pleasantly crowded but not out of control. They started with 8 beers on tap and one seltzer, but by the time we got there on Sunday the seltzer and stout had kicked. We each tried a flight so we were able to try everything available so far, and I think the beer is fantastic. Every beer is a different style, no two alike, and each one is an outstanding rendition of its style. You won't find a better Vienna Lager or porter anywhere, and this from a brand new brewery. The cream ale and DIPA were also delicious. If you like dogs, you'll love this place. We were there for about two hours and there were about 4 - 5 dogs at any given point. They were all well behaved. If you don't like dogs, well, be advised. A lot of breweries tend to attract parents of young kids on weekend afternoons, but we didn't see a single kid there. Like a lot of breweries, this is in an old warehouse, which means high ceilings and wooden rafters, and big garage doors that I assume will be open in the warmer months. Their tanks are on display in a separate room with additional seating. Overall it's a very nice atmosphere. Ample parking out back. This is a great new addition to the South Jersey brewery scene, and one you should add to your list!

First time stopping by at Stratosphere. Loved the vibes and they were having a Halloween event so the inside had some cool decor. I had a blue raspberry seltzer which reminded me of the blue raspberry dumdum lollipops. This is a kid friendly and dog friendly brewery and they have so many different board games available to use. There was a food truck but many people also brought their own food. Will definitely be back!

I stopped by here on my way back from Great Adventure. The beer is good, the service is good, and the vibe is good. There is indoor and outdoor seating, but everything is open. I had the peach sour collar with Eight and Sand and it wasn't sour at all! If you like mild sours, then I recommend it, but if you're looking for something lip-puckering, then pick the cherry sour because that was delicious! They do tasters, which is always great customer service because how do you know if you'll like a beer without trying it?

Hard to tell exactly when it opened, as their website offers scant information, but they first started posting on Facebook in 2011 if that is anything to go by. They don't have a large footprint in the NJ brewing scene as they don't distribute to any liquor stores or bars/restaurants (they don't even offer beers in cans to go), and they don't do any big events other than the typical karaoke or trivia nights. What they do offer is a nice place to hang out in an old historic building right on the Main Street in the downtown area, and a solid lineup of beers. One thing that makes them stand out is a great selection of beers on nitro. From my experience with NJ breweries, you're lucky to find a single beer on nitro. At Village Idiot there are seven of them, most of them dessert stouts like a cookie butter white stout and a salted caramel milk stout. All that we tried were delicious and not crazy high in ABV like other dessert stouts. Flights are only $10 which is pretty cheap compared to other NJ breweries. Of note is that as of November 2025 they no longer allow outside drinks including water bottles like Nalgenes and Stanley Cups. Too many idiots sneaking in alcohol, according to their social media. Overall it has a bit more of a dive bar vibe only frequented by locals rather than a traditional NJ brewery, but the beer is definitely good enough, and the surrounding Main Street charming and quaint enough that I would definitely return.

Each time we've visited, we've ended up in great conversations with other customers, which adds to the experience. Unfortunately, what keeps this brewery from a higher rating is the bartender. He tends to focus mainly on the regulars, which makes it difficult at times to get his attention. On top of that, his frequent use of colorful language--especially loudly dropping the f-bomb multiple times--took away from the otherwise relaxed vibe. It wasn't said in anger, but the constant repetition was distracting and made the room feel less comfortable for us.

Beer wise, well they have always been average. I'm not really a fan of anything they make. It's average at best, some brews are true to the style and some are head scratchers. They've never really made a higher ABV brew I've said bravo to either. Without getting into the weeds if your a beer geek you won't be wowed by their brews. They have alternatives though - mead, cider, wine and cold brew coffee. Full bar and a very nice staff. Beer two stars .... building gets the third star and food from Cheese Dawgs gets them to four. Mediocre brewery meets good solid pub grub with awesome specials in a good bar setting. Kid/family friendly atmosphere. When I do get a hankering for some dogs, this is the place though.

Out front, every table was packed shoulder to shoulder with what appeared to be a local running group in post-run celebration. Laughter, sweat, and IPAs filled the air. Inside, however, it was the crowd was sparse, save for two small groups competing in Harry Potter trivia, an event we hadn't realized was happening. After the first round, one of those tables gave up and left. That should have made the place quieter, but the trivia host's amplifier made sure it did not. Even from the far corner, it was nearly impossible to hold a conversation without shouting. It was as though someone had mistaken the volume knob for a test of strength. The bartender, to his great credit, was friendly and quick, the kind of person who makes you feel like maybe the night will work out after all. The beers themselves were fine. I tried the Pineapple Express milkshake IPA and the porter. Both were serviceable, neither was memorable. The brewery allows outside food, which is a small mercy. Being on Farnsworth, there are plenty of good places to bring something in from. They also sell simple snacks like chips and jerky, a practical touch that suits the space. Still, the whole experience left me puzzled. The place seems to want to be a neighborhood hub, but it can't decide whether to be a quiet refuge or a loud event hall. Empty yet loud, welcoming yet difficult to linger in. I wouldn't drive out of my way to return, but if a friend suggested meeting there, I'd go. I'd just hope the trivia host had the night off.

I didn't have the pleasure of visiting Dog & Bull before it was renovated, but I visited last night and can't wait to return. My friend and I made a reservation for 5:30 PM (just in case) as we read online that reservations were recommended, but I don't actually think one was needed. When you walk in, it's bright and inviting. The garage doors throughout the property provide a ton of natural light. I can only imagine how lovely it is when they're open in the summer. Additionally, the outside has a nice patio and an area with a fire pit. The restaurant's layout was designed wonderfully! Our server was Alex (Alexandria) and she was the epitome of exceptional service. She checked in on us multiple times and always had a smile on her face when she came over. We really appreciated having her. The baked feta and hummus appetizer was just as delicious as it looks in the photo. The thick pieces of garlic, roasted red peppers, olives, cucumbers and pita bread triangles paired so nicely with the feta. The hummus was warmed up and it looked like the kitchen staff may have torched the top of it. It was phenomenal. Boy do I have notes on the lentil burger - it was 10/10!! I'm not a big bean person and even though this burger had beans in it, it somehow tasted like an actual beef burger. Sounds crazy, I know, but trust and believe it was pure excellence. I added cheddar for an additional charge and upgraded my regular fries to garlic parm fries. Finally, the caramel apple bread pudding... oh my oh my! What a DELIGHT. The top was piled high with a big scoop of frosting. Yes, you read that right. Frosting! Not ice cream! You can taste the apple pieces in the bread pudding. My friend and I wanted to order it twice. It was THAT good. It was easy to make my way to Dog & Bull from Center City thanks to the Septa station located directly behind the restaurant. Street parking also wasn't too bad yesterday. I absolutely loved the experience I had here and will be stopping by again this summer! Thanks, Dog & Bull!

We arrived at Old Town Pub on a weekday at that strange and tender hour between the end of work and…read morethe beginning of evening, when the sunlight looks tired but not yet ready to quit. There were eight of us, a band of aging birthday revelers, unsure whether we were still young enough to be loud or too old to be noticed. The staff didn't seem to mind either way. They smiled, rearranged some tables upstairs in a corner just for us, and let us take our time as the rest of the party wandered in, one by one, like characters from eight different novels who'd lost their place in the story. The upstairs room was empty when we arrived, echoing pleasantly with the sound of our indecision. By the time we left, it was humming with life. The bartender, whose name I did not catch but whose pour I will remember, mixed me an Apple Jack from the fall cocktail list. I had planned to explore their beer selection, which is said to be quite good, but the apple and Tito's combination called out to me like an old American folk song. It was crisp and strong and made me grateful for my liver's enduring patience. For dinner, I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was good but too greasy, even for a dish whose main promise is grease. The plate looked like an oil field after a minor accident, and the poor chips had to make do with swimming lessons they hadn't asked for. Still, the fish itself was solid and flaky, and I ate most of it while pretending not to notice the puddles. Around the table there were burgers, salads, sandwiches and tacos. Everyone ate. Everyone was fine. No one wept with joy. Our server, though, deserves an entire paragraph. He was the sort of person you wish the world had more of. He was patient, kind, and surprisingly cheerful for someone who had to answer seven variations of "What's good here?" He took special care with our friend who has celiac disease, making several trips to confirm that her meal would be safe. He handled it with both professionalism and genuine concern. It was one of those rare moments when good service feels less like customer care and more like small-scale heroism. We were politely nudged around 7:00 to make way for the trivia crowd, which seemed fair. We had been there for two and a half hours, which in restaurant time is nearly an epoch. On another night, I imagine they would have let us stay longer. We left feeling content, not dazzled, but content counts for a lot these days. Old Town Pub may not be the most extraordinary restaurant in Bordentown, but it has heart. It has history, too, tucked into its walls from the days when it was The Farnsworth House. The renovation in 2017 gave it new life without scrubbing away its past. That balance between old and new feels just right, like the moment between late afternoon and early evening. Four stars for kindness, competence, and cocktails that don't apologize for being cocktails. The fish and chips may have been greasy, but the night itself was not.
