A great place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere and vibe. There's 3 parts to their venue--- 1- the distillery itself- you can visually see the stills and tanks for making their whiskeys and clear spirits or you can get a tour. 2-- inside bar where they make their own signature cocktails using their products. They don't have tequila (heads up). 3-- The outdoor bar and tables. The third is probably the most popular when the weather is warm. Parking is somewhat limited, but there is a large lot across the street. When we were there, a bluegrass band was playing. The bartender was very attentive and spends a lot of time making their creations. For example, the Berry Blast which contains their vodka along with simple syrup, pineapple juice, blackberries and raspberries actually uses quite a bit of real fruit and gets muddled into a tasty cocktail. Most of the prices are in the $10-15 range per drink. I believe you can bring your own food and its possible there may be some food trucks close by. read more

I've been to Train Wreck a few times and it's always a pleasant experience. Such a fun and unique space inside an old train station. Last time was on a Sunday afternoon on St. Paddy's Day Weekend with my girlfriend. We each ordered specialty cocktails from the special menu and then had a second round of regular cocktails. They were all delicious. Everyone working there was so friendly and helpful. One of the employees walked us through the different types of liquor they had and let us try small samples of each before committing to anything. This place is also dog friendly. Train Wreck Distillery is an absolute gem! What a fun find, I've had this one on my list for a little while as it's one of the few distilleries in New Jersey with whiskies and ryes, and the first craft distillery in Burlington County since prohibition! They've got a beautiful area that hosts an old train on their front lawn, so you can't miss it, and plenty of parking in their lot. Lovely spot to check out if you're looking to host an event and may have to make this the place for my next birthday celebration! The outdoor seating areas and sunroom were perfect for enjoying their delicious spirits, and the fact that they are dog-friendly made it an even better experience. The small fire pits added an extra cozy touch, making it a great spot to relax and unwind with friends. Plus they'll occasionally host bands in the back so you can definitely hang for a night out and get the full experience. I can't recommend their craft cocktails enough. My personal favorite with the smoked old-fashioned cocktail, which was incredible! Smoking the glass, always add that smokey hint of flavor alongside their muddled cherries and Super Chief Straight Bourbon Whiskey. The combination of flavors was truly unique and left me wanting more. Following that, I went for their Straight Bourbon as well as their Rye, both on the rocks. Both were delightfully smooth and rich in flavor. At the end of the day, this is a very entertaining and simply fantastic experience, one I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique spot to enjoy quality spirits with friends and family. This place is awesome. Just cocktails, no wine or beer. Smallish but not over stuffed inside seating, with friendly staff. Loved the outdoor tables and live music on the Saturday night myself and a few friends went. Small parking lot but looked like you could easily park across the street. Can't miss the train out front, which I hope it was cool to hop on, because we did. Pretty sure I'll bring my dog next time. I met the cutest corgi here! The lavender Lemonade was delicious but both bartenders, inside & outside bar, made them look different, but tasted exactly the same. We had dinner in the area and we happened to pass Train Wreck on our way home. It was sort of a spontaneous visit which we decided upon while eating. I've been here before a few years ago but it was her first time at a distillery. The parking lot was very busy and there were lots of people inside which was great to see. The venue is really cool located at the old Mount Holly train station. You're in the tasting room as soon as you walk in the front door. There are a handful of high tops and a bar inside. We were about to sit at the only available high top but she checked the outside bar and there were exactly 2 seats. Luckily it was a beautiful night. The outside space is great. There was a band playing, multiple tables, corn hole, a fire pit. The bartender was busy and we got to watch her make a bunch of drinks before we ordered. The drink menu was exciting loaded with fall-esque themed drinks. We ordered a Bobbing For Apples (vodka, apple cider, vanilla, lemon, cinnamon) and a Cinnamon Maple Sour (bourbon, maple syrup, lemon, cinnamon stick). The drinks were beautiful and tasted even better than they looked. We were impressed with both drinks. We were only planning on having one drink each so it was a short experience but are very interested on making a night out of Train Wreck in the near future. We'd love to try a few more of their cocktails and will definitely be returning. read more

MOUNT HOLLY: pulling into the parking lot of Train Wreck Distillery, we were amazed to see they are located in a converted train station where the current structure dates back to 1849 (and the property has history going back even further!) The indoor tasting room is dog friendly and has so many historical features - it was so cool to look around and spot old-school items! The spirits are delicious too and made on-site (you can take a tour of the manufacturing room, but dogs are not allowed in there). Vodka, gin, two different types of rum, and their newest spirit - bourbon are all available for a taste. There is a large cocktail list (we loved the mint julep)! We loved the bottle labels - they look like a train ticket! If you want to spend time outside, there is a dog-friendly outdoor patio that overlooks what was formerly the train tracks and is now a walking path - a great place to walk the pup and see the creek. There are picnic tables and chairs around fire pits! The place is family owned and they are super friendly! Arrived to what looked like an old train station that had been renovated. This was the 5th stop on our NJ April 10/11, 2021 Distillery Tour. There was an old train engine out front and a passenger car both in the grass around the parking lot. Inside was beautiful with wood floors and nicely chosen memorabilia giving a warm feeling. There's a tent and bar outside with live music and a fire table, very nice! They had a food truck also with great choices. The spirits were excellent! They make gin, vodka, and single malt Whisky, which was very good! They make a number of smoked cocktails that were quite tasty! Highly recommend a visit! read more

This is a great local distillery. I have been meaning to venture here for over a year and finally made it with my girlfriend and two friends. We came here while attending the Mt. Holly Fire and Ice Festival. It was PACKED, which is great sign! The tasting room isn't small but it not huge either. Be mindful of that if bringing a large group during events, you may have to be outside for seating. The distillery also offers free tastings of their four liquors! We did the free tastings and then each ordered a cocktail. The drinks are a tad pricey, generally around $10, but I feel they are worth it. If you like venturing out to local distilleries and breweries, you should give this location a shot. read more

Friendly staff, great atmosphere and the spirits are really good. The only thing that got me was the $20 flight. I've been to distilleries all over and have never paid $20 for a flight of 4 1 oz tasters. The flight is really to showcase your work so I don't get why the steep charge on it. The drinks were fantastic however and the bartenders do some pretty amazing things to put the drinks together. I'd definitely recommend it, but just make sure your group doesn't order a bunch of flights. read more

We drove all the way from north Jersey just to try your brewery last Sunday and found out when we got there that it's closed on Sundays. Could you please update your website? We wasted hours of our time and $20+ in tolls on the Turnpike. Ugh! This was a nice way to spend some time with my wife. They have a nice variety of spirits and my wife though the mixed drinks were "yummy". Their single malt and bourbon are very drinkable. In all, I was impressed by this little gem hidden in Mount Holly. The only issue I have is with their prices. I am not going to comment on a business model I don't understand, but I felt like everything was way overpriced. E.g., they want $50 for a .750 bottle of single malt when you can buy a bottle of comparable quality Scotch at any liquor store for less than $40. Similar for their bourbon. I prefer to buy local and support small businesses. I would like to support them more, but when I spend $50 on a bottle of Scotch, I want a $50 quality. read more

This place is fairly new. It's popularity is slowly growing and when it spreads it is going to be like wildfire. They did this place right when they came up with the idea to open it. Train Wreck is family owned. You have to walk in and get a tour (NJ liq law) and even have the chance to taste their homemade gin, rum, and vodka. After that, you can seat yourself at the bar to order a drink made by one of their signature choices of alcohol. I ordered a mojito, it was delicious. When you have the opportunity, step outside because they seem to bring different vendors to the distillery. My group had the pleasure to buy cigars by a vendor and sit out by one of their adorable fire pits. It was the perfect evening. They sell their bottles to purchase too. I think they are even in local liquor stores now. Highly recommeneded if you are in the Mt. Holly area! read more

Visited on a Friday night recently around 7:30 and the place was already packed along with the parking lot. There is a large lot across the street that they said we could park there. Inside, the place is crowded, especially since it was cold outside and most people were standing around the tables. Two guys were playing great music, with unnecessary amplification as the place is really tiny. One annoyance is when using a credit card, the suggested tip prices begin at 20% and go up from there, in addition to filling in a custom amount at the bottom. Kind of cheesy. Drinks range from $10 - $15. I thought that, although the pours were generous, the proof isn't, as some girls in our group get loaded just reading the label but were pretty sober even after 3-4 drinks. read more
