All of them were amazing but the Risky Short was unique and delicious! I even got my GF to try some bourbon and had some in her mixed drinks!! (She's usually a beer or wine girl lol) It was funny when she told the bartender I was from Kentucky because you could see her cringe on how bad her whiskey and bourbon was fixing to get judged but she did amazing and the old fashioneds were perfect!! What a chill spot in Haddonfield. My friend recommended it because she knows that I enjoy a good bourbon drink. The business is located in a lovely Victorian Home and there is a bar on the lower floor and upstairs. Downstairs is a little tight, so we opted to hang out in the upstairs area. There is also outdoor seating on both floors. The drink experience is definitely 'artisan' level and well worth the costs. The bartenders are skilled and attentive. Cute place for cocktails vibe good date night spot. I came for coffee though, this is how i discovered the place is as a coffee shop. Its a distillery that recently started doing coffee during the day hours. I was disappointed they only have espresso not drip coffee. Its a pricey place. I also went back for drinks and the menue wasnt too exciting for me. I tried the violet fizz (not a fan) and the spicy old fashion (better but nothing to be wowed by). Its a bit pricey too. Set inside the historic Jennings House, an 1800s-era building, Wild Feather does a great job honoring the home's original character while delivering a thoughtful, modern cocktail program. We arrived on a Friday night and the place was buzzing. We were shown upstairs to a high-top window seat at the bar, which ended up being a great perch to take it all in. Our server was friendly and attentive and clearly knew the menu. Pro tip: make a reservation if you want a seat, especially on weekends. There are multiple levels with both indoor and outdoor seating, which adds to the charm of the space. The cocktail menu leans heavily on seasonal, locally inspired ingredients, and we lucked out by arriving right as they rolled out the winter menu, while still keeping some familiar staples on the list. We started with Granny's Got a Gun, a brown sugar bourbon and coffee liqueur drink, and The See-Through, a clarified citrus vodka cocktail, both well balanced and right on the mark. Next up were the Black Walnut Old Fashioned and Sands of Time, solid drinks overall, though as a bourbon fan I personally wished they leaned a bit more whiskey-forward. We finished the night with Blue Beer, a blueberry bourbon highball riff that leaned more root beer than expected, and their version of an espresso martini, which was easily the best drink of the night. One thing to note, there is no food served here, but you are welcome to bring your own snacks. Pricing is what you would expect for quality craft cocktails in this area. Wildfether works just as well for an intimate night out as it does for a group of friends. I was intrigued the day I found out that a distillery had opened in Haddonfield, and thus Wildfether sat in my bookmarks until my next Jersey trip. I made sure to book a reservation, which does require a credit card, ahead of my visit over the holidays. Good thing, too, since the space is quite small. It's housed in a historic building, the Jennings House, and is situated right next to Borough Hall. Looking out the window we were seated next to brought with it strong memories of my days working as a reporter in Haddonfield and the many, many hours spent at Borough Hall in my early 20s! It was also fairly drafty, so be sure to wear layers. There was one server/bartender who was taking orders and making all the drinks for the entire room. She was hustling! Seriously, I don't know how she managed to do it all with such efficiency and good spirits (pun intended). For my cocktails, I ordered the Not My Plumpdrop Buttons, a sweet gin drink that was so smooth and delightful, and Win/Win, a vodka drink that has similarities to lemonade. "Lemonade for big kids," according to the menu! I also tried a sip of their Napoleon's Ghost mocktail, which tasted just like a creamsicle. It was so well done! As soon as we came in we were greeted and given a menu. We sat at a table downstairs since it was a quick stop. The drink list has a variety of inventive cocktails ranging in strength made with different in house liquors. The cocktails are somewhat smaller and a little more pricey. Very big inside with downstairs, upstairs and outdoor seating! I ordered the Tropic of Cancer, which was exactly how the menu described it "light and refreshing." Very easy to drink and a bit on the sweet side. My friend who has had the drink before said it tasted a lot sweeter than normal. Still refreshing on a hot day! My second drink of choice was the 1983 martini. I was expecting an espresso martini taste, but don't because it doesn't taste like an espresso martini at all. It's their take on it because of the coffee inside, but the appearance and taste is completely different and not in a bad way. Strong coconut flavor! My bf especially enjoyed this one! Wildfether is an elegant cocktail bar and distillery in downtown historic Haddonfield that just had its grand opening on May 26, 2023, and it is an excellent addition to the shops and restaurants on Kings Highway. Haddonfield used to be a dry town, but a brewery opened up in 2017, and a winery followed in 2020, and now a distillery. All within a block of each other. The boozy trifecta is now complete! Owner and Haddonfield resident Tommy Alfinito really knocked it out of the park with this one. I've been following Wildfether's progress on Instagram, and it is truly astounding to see what he has created here. He took a historic building from 1857 and over the course of two years, through countless setbacks and delays, renovated it into a refined and upscale space while preserving the house's historic character. My girlfriend and I stopped by for the grand opening yesterday. There was a line out the door all day, but we didn't mind waiting since everyone was in a good mood and just happy the place is finally open. The wait was worth it! Tommy himself sat us in the downstairs bar and fetched us sparkling water before a waitress took our order. We watched the bartender making drinks for the hour we were there and you could tell everyone working there cared about what they were doing and wanted everyone to enjoy their experience. My girlfriend ordered the bourbon based Flower Power while I ordered the gin based Stay Puft. I'm hardly a cocktail expert but both were incredible. The inside is equally as impressive, with a small downstairs bar and outside patio, as well as an upstairs patio and much larger upstairs bar. Their drinks are absolutely amazing and it's so nice to have such a great cocktail bar that makes and uses such fresh ingredients so close by. They change their menu pretty regularly to adapt to the seasons/holidays but they always have classic options too. I stopped by Wildfether yesterday and came away thoroughly impressed. It's a beautiful space and, unless you head into Philly, I don't think there's another bar like this anywhere nearby. It'd be a great spot for a date, a drink with friends, etc. There's lots of seating, with a bar downstairs and a larger bar upstairs, plus patio seating on both floors. I only had the one cocktail, but I tried my wife's mocktail (they can make a mocktail version of almost all of their drinks) and that was also great. The rest of our party enjoyed their drinks and the space too. I would agree with other reviewers that mentioned it took a little while for drinks to arrive. We were seated quickly, our order was taken quickly, we were promptly given water, but it took maybe 10 minutes for the actual cocktails to arrive. Honestly, the wait didn't bother me and I fully expect that their speed will pick up in time (they haven't even been open for two weeks yet). Made reservations here for pre-dinner drinks and upon arrival was warmly greeted and escorted to our table upstairs. The warm lighting made for a cozy atmosphere with a mix of high tops, 'nooks' and a bar area. Rio was our waitress and she amazing. Friendly, attentive and so personable. She really was the icing on the cake of our visit! The winter menu had recently come out - the Risky Short was nothing short of fantastic. And I don't even drink bourbon. We somewhat reluctantly left for dinner across the street at Umile (also amazing) but wound up coming back over for a nightcap as we waited for Ubers. i've wanted to try here for a very long time. We made a reservation before our dinner. The host greeted us and was very very friendly. The space upstairs is very big and wide open. It's like being in someone's home bar. our server can best be described as just OK. She became a little condescending when we asked questions about the drinks. She was also hard to track down and seemed to frequently ignore our table. I'm not sure if this was on purpose because of the questions that were asked or if it was just very busy. Well, like others in NJ, we have to put up with the "Time-Share" puritanical reservations at distillaries too...I was hoping it was not like the wineries with the same restrictive practices...way to go Comrade Murphy!
